Enjoy the spacious rooms the beds were comfortable the continental breakfast was an added bonus great walk to downtown Picton to shop some restaurants
Other guest we loud in the hallway in the early morning.
Magnifique bâtisse rénovée avec goût et beaucoup de respect. Très bon petit-déjeuner en chambre, avec de beaux produits.
De ne pas côtoyer des employés c'est un peu bizarre.

It was stunning and staff were amazing Everything exceptional!!!!
Everything was great.
Beautifully refurbished mansion and well maintained exterior with comfortable front porch seating. Not a typical hotel stay experience but a stay at a friend’s quiet and relaxing historical mansion. Complimentary self parking at back of mansion. Great location! Just few minutes walk into town for restaurants, bars and shops of various kinds! Friendly welcome waiting for our arrival time confirmed in advance. Offer to assist with baggage via staircase to second floor and orientation to suite amenities. We stayed in the corner king suite that has a three-step down to bedroom from the suite entry and large renovated washroom level. Large walkin shower with luxury washroom products. Wonderful bed linens, quality mattress and pillows very comfortable. Easy to use suite hvac by remote. All exceptionally clean! Well presented quality coffee and tea making either in room or in common kitchen same floor. Welcome local truffles and hand written note. Small fridge with various complimentary beverages. Fresh, generous and delicious large ‘breakfast in bed’ tray (heavy) delivered outside your door each morning. Note:no restaurant or coffee shop on site. Wonderful and helpful staff - Elizabeth, Jake and Macy! Thank you!
Few suggestions to improve overall experience would be adding live TV, (only Netflix access during our stay) installing pulls for curtains to facilitate opening/closing high drapes, coasters with coffee/tea cup tray for beautiful walnut furniture, knowing in advance mobile number to communicate with staff once on site (no hardline contact from room available), installing ramp at end of open porch side entry for suitcases. Entry from side porch avoids using front mansion steps with suitcases.
A magnificent stately home in the belly of Picton. Super close to downtown so walking to shops and restaurants was easy
Not a thing. It was beautiful
Everything!!!
Nothing
Beautiful. Historic. Well preserved property. Comfortable. Welcoming. Excellent staff. Home-like feeling. Safe.
This is an outstanding property.
No restaurant
Amazing place super friendly staff and excellent breakfast experience
Nothing absolutely nothing
The Cape is the most lovely boutique hotel with loads of dining options around the corner. The rooms are immaculately kept, and the entire place has such a pleasant aroma! Staff are so lovely and helpful. Overall, this is a beautiful and charming stay in wine country!
A very cozy place to stay. Big room, with King size bed, very quiet and a cool vibe. A short and easy walk to the main street in Picton where all the shops and restaurants are located. The breakfast was also amazing and the staff were very helpful and polite.
Ausgefallenes und aussergewöhnliches Ambiente.
The "Elizabeth Taylor" room was nice, but poorly configured. Because it had an oversized dresser, there was no room for a comfortable sofa/loveseat/coffee table. As such, my girlfriend sat on a wooden chair and I sat on a footstool. Breakfast was brought up to the room, but as seniors, we are not the "eat in bed" type, nor could we sit anywhere else. The 1st morning we had our breakfast outside our room on a couple of chairs/table and the next day we sat downstairs in the dining area. The bathroom was nicely done, but it was not cleaned our 1st full day there (the rest of the room was done) and had to be done later when we complained. Overall the room was good, but because of what we were paying, we expected an "above and beyond" experience...
Tutto, posto eccezionale.
The CAPE was absolutely beautiful! Such a unique and gorgeous experience, completely different from any regular hotel. The rooms were stunning, just a perfectly maintained 200-year-old house full of character and charm. The breakfast was amazing, the service was excellent, and even the whole place smelled wonderful. Words can’t fully capture how special our stay was. I’ll definitely recommend the stay to anyone visiting Picton, and I’ll absolutely be back!
The interior was beautiful- rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable.
It was more of an 'event location' - I had thought there would be a more intimate seating location for guests outside & inside.
What a great experience, everything was first rat! Special thanks to Jake and Elizabeth for being so friendly and attentive. We will be back. :)
A truly unique and romantic getaway. So close to all the charming shops and restaurants that Picton has to offer.
Very quiet Lovely breakfast
The place is truly amazing, the hotel itself is beautiful and the location was great.
There was an old fridge at the room that suddenly turned on-and-off its fan and it was very annoying when trying to get some sleep. Also, the bed seemed pretty old, wasn't very comfortable. Staff was also somewhat lacking... she only asked us if we've already been in Prince Edward County and when we told her that we hadn't she actually didn't had anything to add, haha
We loved our stay at The Cape! We stayed in the Richard Burton suite - spacious, so comfortable and quiet, and beautiful large bathroom. The daily continental breakfast was spectacular…a highlight of each day! Service staff were very friendly, professional, and there if and when needed. Location was great - walked to shops and restaurants in Picton. Highly recommend The Cape as a spot to stay in beautiful Prince Edward County!
All local products offered in the room were literally with perfect quality! I loved everything, from soaps in the bathroom to the delicious bonbons!
Nothing!
Cute hotel! Nice and cozy, very clean and smelt great with great air conditioning. Will go back for sure!
Beautifully renovated
Beautiful property. Excellent staff great breakfast and location.
It is a very clean and well curated property that felt very comfortable, like an elevated home away from home!
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s a cute, charming hotel with a cozy vibe.
Macey (?) the receptionist helped so much in bringing our luggage in . She is a fine person . So is Jake the manager . The breakfast tray outside the door was a nice touch
Maybe a clock in bedroom and easier tv
Beautiful old home, old architecture, character, cleanliness, unique home
Beautiful mansion with great, large rooms. Limited service but very nice.
Everything, but more specifically, we loved all the thoughtful touches; chocolates on the pillows, aromatherapy, the beautiful breakfast trays with everything you could ask for, to name a few.
Nothing
Very nice inn and lovely breakfast indeed, highly recommended. Room are very comfortable, love it,
Staff was pleasant but basic amenities were missing
A wonderful, relaxing stay, friendly, delicious and generous breakfast. If you needed anything all you had to do was ask.
First breakfast was basic and ok, second was much better , property was beautiful, bathroom nice walkable location was good
Room too hot no ac and windows didn’t open at all, bed very soft and uncomfortable , told they will be addin ac for next year
Absolutely stunningly restored manor, with large luxurious suites and lovely in room amenities! The breakfast brought to our room was spectacular! I felt pampered like Liz Taylor, in our Richard Burton Suite!
Unique historic property close to down town center.
Amazing property. The room was stunning and the location perfect
Beautiful historical building. Elegant breakfast.
Great breakfast.
Wonderful and helpful staff. Great central location. Lovely rooms. Amazing breakfast in bed.
Amazing, beautiful and a very classy property. We loved our ensuite bedroom and one of the most comfortable and luxurious bedding. We stayed 4 nights and slept very well waking up to amazing breakfast every morning. Location is also close to main street and close drive to PEC attractions. We will definitely come back.
Delicious breakfast and accommodations gladly made for dietary requirements. Comfy bed. Quiet room.
Beautiful room - love heritage properties!
Was a complete pleasure , Jake made it so easy and special for my special weekend! Will definitely be back !
We had a wonderful stay at The Cape! We had a gorgeous room with a corner view and the breakfast in bed was such a lovely touch.
Nothing!
The Cape is absolutely 😍🤩 will come back just for the overall feeling of the house.
Place was very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was delivered to our room and it was excellent.
This place was excellent.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Cape. Overall the property was spotless, quiet and our room (RB suite) was gorgeous and spacious. The only cons we experienced was the heat in the room, it was quite extreme due to being there in the summer and having no air conditioning. They did provide a fan which worked well though. The breakfast was nice, very well presented but we thought for the price you pay each night it would have been nice to have the choice of when you would like it and some different options.
Everything.
The property was very tastefully decorated. A warm and inviting feeling about the hotel. The staff are amazing, Elizabeth and Jake are so welcoming and very helpful with information about Picton. The breakfasts are delicious, and health conscious. We will certainly book again.
The house is beautiful and so clean. It is quiet but in a great location. I would definitely stay again. The breakfast was amazing and so beautifully presented! Loved everything about it!
Nothing!
Nous aurions apprécié d’avoir des peignoirs pour aller de la chambre vers la salle de bain extérieure à la chambre. Très bon petit déjeuner et belle attention à l’arrivée: bouteille de mousseux, boissons pétillantes et pop sicles.
Really loved my stay here! For having relatively 'invisible' service, the comforts and special touches were fabulous and ensured I felt a high level of service and care. Breakfast delivery was lovely and the team even accommodated a request for an earlier breakfast one morning for me. Products in the room were great to use, and the gentleman that welcomed me during check-in was so lovely and had some great recommendations. This is the type of stay you tell your friends about as part of your trip!
A nice change.
Old fashioned charm in a great location.
Gorgeous boutique hotel!
The CAPE was an extremely enjoyable experience from the moment we arrived and were greeted by James who was very friendly. This boutique hotel thought of everything- from chocolates in our room to essential oils to diffuse, to a personalized note. We loved it and felt pampered. The breakfast was amazing - warm croissants, fresh fruit and fresh eggs. A complementary bottle of bubbles in the room we enjoyed on the balcony. We spent an hour having a drink in the main room and the atmosphere with the music and rustic charm was so relaxing. We had the Cary Grant suite, where the private washroom is down the hall however robes were provided and it is such an intimate environment it was not a bother. We walked to the downtown restaurant we went to and to a brewery. It was a great location. We loved it and will definitely be back.
The special touches were appreciated, a coffee press , complimentary wine, beer and water in the fridge, and a delicious breakfast delivered in the morning. Room was beautiful as was the bathroom. A lovely property
An absolute 10 for comfort, staff service, breakfast and overall experience. Will return
Beautiful property! Stately old home conversion was elegant and welcoming. Particularly enjoyed the free refreshments. Locally sourced products, soaps, chocolate truffles, drinks, and teas made the stay more cosy and gave the hotel a unique cachet.
The breakfast they left outside our door in the morning was just excellent. Lovely house!!
Beautiful property and the room was very cosy and pleasant.
Very elegant room and decor, and most importantly, a very comfortable and supportive mattress! We drove all the way from Toronto to Montreal and stayed in five hotels and this one was the one I slept the best. Also this hotel offers breakfast in bed which is great for traveling or vacationing! The staff was very good communicating and nice. the hotel location is a three minute walk to a local dt street. It was very good experience.
Beautiful property! Walkable to town. Breakfast was very elegantly displayed. I would definitely recommend this gem.
We had a wonderful stay at The Cape. The room was large and beautiful. The products in the room were really nice from the bath products to the complimentary drinks in the fridge. The location if very convenient to shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay at The Cape!
Location, breakfast was very good, daily cleaning,
After we had paid the non-refundable fee for the room, we were notified, by email, that the “private bathroom” was not in the room but across a large public foyer from the room. Very inconvenient for seniors who are likely to need to use it during the night! BTW, there was no shower in that washroom, only a very deep tub that could provide someone with mobility issues quite a challenge. One of the main reasons we booked here was because of the advertised elevator. (Yes, our room was to be on the second floor.) Our hearts sank when we saw the huge staircase in the main foyer and the attendant said he didn’t know how to run the elevator. We strongly insisted that for physical reasons we couldn’t do the stairs and that we needed the elevator. Thankfully the attendant phoned someone for operating instructions! The parking area was unlit, at night creating a dangerous dark step off/on the wrap around deck. Regarding the staff, other than the attendant who checked us in, we had no contact with anyone, including at our checkout.
Elegant and sophisticated. All modern conveniences provided in a nostalgic atmosphere. Very welcoming.
Stayed at the Carry Grant Suite, there is no bathroom in the suite, there was only 1 bath towel so my husband had to use a small towel and no robes or slippers, How were we supposed to come from the bathroom through the hallway? Barefoot? The handle of the bathroom door was broken, fortunately I had my phone with me and I called my husband to open the door from outside. And there was no one in the property to talk or ask for these things to be fixed.Bottom line not happy at all.
