This hotel is a winner on all fronts! It was one of the very best stays at any hotel we visited during a monthlong trip across Europe through eight countries and fifteen cities. From the unique and uplifting decor to the utterly superb breakfast spread accompanied by exceptional service, this hotel exceeded all expectations. The access to the beachfront swim area as guests at this hotel was also a highlight for us all!

An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Sorrento! Our four-night stay at Maison Il Conservatorio in Sorrento, Italy, booked through Costco Travel, was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional—from the warm hospitality and beautiful room to the incredible breakfast and perfect location. Exceptional Service & Local Recommendations Roberta gave us such a warm welcome and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided great local recommendations, including a fantastic boat tour to Positano and the Amalfi Coast. She also recommended Cala di Puolo, a beautiful local beach about 30 minutes away by taxi. It was a wonderful experience and much less expensive than some of the more touristy beaches. Beautiful, Comfortable Room Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. Every time we returned after a day of sightseeing, it had been perfectly refreshed. We loved the beautiful ceramic tile floors, high ceiling, and huge ceiling fan. One small but memorable detail: when we asked for an iron, the staff provided a garment steamer instead, which worked perfectly for getting the wrinkles out of our travel clothes. Outstanding Breakfast The breakfast was truly one of the highlights of our stay. Freshly baked croissants, garden-grown vegetables, and delicious made-to-order omelets made it feel like a gourmet breakfast every morning. Marianna and Giosefonia were wonderful—always welcoming us with warm smiles and making us feel at home. Perfect Location in Sorrento The location couldn’t be better. Right in the heart of Sorrento, Maison Il Conservatorio made it easy to explore the town on foot. Within minutes, you’re surrounded by charming streets, shops, leather goods, lemon soaps, restaurants, gelato, fresh lemonade, and plenty of places to enjoy limoncello. Great Nearby Restaurants We also had excellent meals nearby. At Nu La, my wife loved the fettuccine with sausage and short-rib Bolognese, while I had an incredible peppercorn steak. At Mo’ Mo’ Kitchen & Bar, directly across the street, my wife enjoyed the ricotta rigatoni, while I had the veal. Both restaurants were convenient and delicious. One Tip for Visitors: Be careful crossing the streets in Sorrento! The scooters and drivers are very skilled, but they move quickly. Look both ways—and definitely hold your partner’s hand! Overall, Maison Il Conservatorio was fantastic. The combination of outstanding hospitality, beautiful accommodations, amazing breakfast, and an unbeatable location made our stay truly memorable. If you’re considering booking Maison Il Conservatorio in Sorrento, don’t hesitate. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it—especially through Costco Travel!

The location was ideal and the staff were also great. Helping book restaurants and beach clubs. The cleaning staff were also great. Sorting the room twice a day.

The location, spaciousness of the room, and the friendliness of the staff were all exceptional. Everything one might need is within comfortable walking distance, including the port, the old town, and the beach. The rooms are well-maintained and generously sized, and the hotel itself is quite modern, especially when compared to other establishments in the area.

Great hotel, very close to the beaches and the old town. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. Easy walking distance to everything. Excellent breakfast.

It was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were phenomenally friendly and helpful. The location made it an easy walk to all parts of Sorrento and The included breakfast was top notch.

Coming from the train station, you can be standing at the hotel and not realize that it’s there. The entrance is an unassuming single door that is easily overlooked. Once found, it’s not a problem.

How spacious the rooms were, the 2x daily cleaning service. How welcoming and assistive the staff were. Replied to messages and emails instantly, gave great recommendation and able to book things for us. Loved the snack time.

Lots of stairs to bring suitcases up, no pool or area to relax other than breakfast time.

First class staff with knowledgeable concierge service managing luggage transfers, setting up tour guides, and all local area recommendations. Excellent communication via WhatsApp too!

Es ist einfach die perfekte Unterkunft in Sorrent. Die Lage ist fantastisch zum "Strand", zu den Restaurants, zum Hafen für Ausflüge, zu schönen Spaziergänge in der Stadt. Die Unterkunft im Kloster ist wunderschön. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sehr sauber. Und das Frühstück ist einfach fantastisch! Mit so viel Liebe vorbereitet! Herzlichen Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt an Salvatore, Daniela, Gianmaria, Marianna und Josi! Wir möchten diese Unterkunft an andere Urlauber herzlich weiter empfehlen!

Lovely hotel in an excellent location, right in the centre. That said, quiet and peaceful rooms due to ancient thick walls and modern double glazed windows, very relaxing. Lovely staff available 24/7, nothing too much trouble. Daily cleaning/refresh, turn-down service nightly. Excellent breakfast. Minibar in room with reasonable prices. Huge bathroom with excellent shower. Toiletries excellent and refreshed daily. Walking distance from the ferry port. No pool, but has a deal with local Beach Club, so somewhere to sunbathe. Nice terrace for sitting out on an evening.

As a Brit, would have liked a kettle.

What gem of a place! We needed to be in the middle of Sorrento for a wedding but were worried about the noise and the heat. This was an oasis in the very heart of the town. A short walk to everything in the centre. But inside the unassuming exterior a haven of quiet, cool air, and fresh modern colours. The staff were all superb from the 5-star 24-hour concierge service, to the lovely ladies who provided us with breakfast, to the polite and efficient cleaning staff. The breakfast buffet was superb - when the first thing I saw was kefir with flaxseeds, I knew I didn't have to worry about healthy options - and for those with a more indulgent taste, I have never seen such a tempting collection of breakfast cakes. Finally, I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel as clean as this one. Truly a hidden treasure!

I suppose that the access via a private lift with a code is disconcerting when you first arrive but we had no problem at all and it was 100% worth it!

Preis-Leistung finde ich suboptimal. 500 EUR pro Nacht ist zu viel - in der Nebensaison - für das was es ist. Es gibt keine Garage, für die Liegen am Strand muss zusätzlich bezahlt werden etc.

Absolutely blown away with this lovely, quaint hotel. A perfect choice for our first time in Sorrento. The location is spot on, a 5 min stroll from the main square, Piazza Tasso. The room was spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. All of the staff were genuinely warm and friendly. Breakfast was stunning and it was so nice and relaxing to eat outside every morning. The 2 breakfast ladies looking after us worked very hard and were very attentive. It was the ideal oasis to return to after being out and about visiting beautiful Sorrento & the Amalfi coast!

El hotel es HERMOSO!!!!con una decoracion espectacular. Habitacion grande y comoda. Baño amplio y comodo. Vuelven a rehacer habitcion por la tardecita. El desayuno es impresionante , la cocina es alucinante y las chicas wue te atienden son muy simpaticas.

An absolutely spectacular stay! We arrived at 2am due to delayed flights and Salvatore was so kind to help us check-in late and get us settled in the room. When we also had to get an early train on the day we left, he packed us takeaway bags of food, water and coffee so that we did not miss breakfast! He is so kind and helpful! The room was beautiful. Clean and decorated so nicely, we slept great each evening and appreciated the turndown service with treats. The breakfast was incredible with homemade cakes, hot food, fruit, vegetables, juice and coffee! Amazing! We will definitely be back!

We stayed at this lovely place for a week at the ebd of April, beginning of May. What an excellent find it was! Situated just back from the marina lift, allowing you to walk anywhere in the town easily. There are 17 rooms in part of an old convent. We had room 206 which had a large bed, sofa, on suite bathroom, plenty of space for clothes and to put cases as well as a safe. Outside each room over an atrium is a bistro set and lounging chairs with a parasol, perfect for an afternoon/evening rest in the sun. Rooms were spotless, cleaned daily and beds turned down each evening with a sweet on the pillow! The only down side for me was the mattress was very hard. Continental breakfast was served each morning on the opposite side of the atrium with fruit, cereal, baked goods and juices. There is also the option to have eggs, pankakes and bacon cooked fresh to order - nothing kept under heatlamps here. Fresh made nacks are available at additional cost from 11.30am until 2pm. Reception was manned 24 hours a day. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. We asked if we could have a kettle and cups for our room as there were none in the room. They sorted it for us by the time we got back from a quick explore around the area. Would definitely recommend for the central location, reasonable cost and fabulous service.

First time visiting Amalfi Coast and decided to base ourselves in Sorrento which I think was a wise choice. Hotel a short walk from train station and ferry so easy to get too. Room was nice and spacious, breakfast along is worth visiting for and the staff are super nice and helpful. Special mention to the breakfast ladies for providing a great start to the day with some laughs. A unique hotel close to the heart of Sorrento.

No body wash option in bathroom and just one small square of soap. Two more were provided immediately when I asked but I was taken aback that such a high quality hotel did not simply provide 2 soaps to start with, ie one for hand basin one for shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body creme were provided with the room. The access due to steps up to the lift is a bit difficult with larger heavy bags (staff thankfully helped take them all the way out when we left). We would have liked tea making facilities in the room.

I very really write reviews but was compelled to do so for the excellent service from this hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Sorrento and very affordable compared to others in the same district. However the real reason why this hotel is so highly rated is because of the dedication to service from the staff. All staff we encountered were warm and engaging but the real stars are the breakfast room ladies who were so entertaining and professional. Breakfast was fantastic with a massive continental selection and eggs cooked to order. We stayed in room 203 and it had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel

Beautiful boutique hotel in downtown Sorrento. Front desk staff extremely professional from checkin to checkout. Helped with transportation to and from Naples airport. Also coordinated tours to Capri and Amalfi Coast. Customer service was superior. Breakfast was delicious and ladies in the kitchen did a fabulous job. Hotel was convenient to walking anywhere in downtown Sorrento. We walked to all restaurants and shopping from the hotel. No complaints about staying at this hotel.

Unser Zimmer ging auf die Straße und dies war ab den frühen Morgenstunden sehr laut…

We stayed here for our wedding and it far exceeded our expecatations. We got married in the cloisters so the location was ideal for us. It is also close to amazing view points and only a few minute walk from the main street and square. The staff were absolutley incredible and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing, probably the best hotel breakfast we've ever had, made better by the incredible staff namely Gusy and Marianna. The room was lovely, the entire hotel was very clean and quiet. Turn down service was a lovely touch. We cannot reccommend this hotel enough, we will definitley be back.

Stanza molto spaziosa e pulita con arredamento ricercato. Si vede che c'è la mano di un architetto con gusto. Dotata di tutto. Il bagno grande, la doccia enorme. La colazione è eccezionale e il personale estremamente accogliente e gentile. Fatevi fare i pancake espressi che sono da lacrima.

Unica piccola pecca, la stanza è su strada ed è leggermente rumorosa, ma niente di drammatico, soprattutto se non si ha il sonno leggero come me!

Absolutely wonderful stay, was travelling solo for a friends wedding and booked as I wanted something central to the town and this exceeded my expectations in all areas. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to others. The staff are just wonderful and couldn’t be more helpful.

Door was a little stiff, and you could hear a bit of noise from the street below but other than that very hard to find anything wrong at all.
