We liked having a downstairs room and close to parking. The breakfast was better than expected.

The air conditioner was stuck in manual mode and didn't automatically come on.

Great location. It was expected to be an average property, so no surprises. Wasn’t the cleanest but it was quiet and surprisingly the beds were comfortable. The a/c unit was not too loud and it did blast the room with coldness. Very low budget hotel but the price was right and there was availability on the long weekend

Loved the breakfast. Wish the hour was extended until 10 a.m. for those who are vacationing and/or retired, & want to sleep in a bit. But there was a great variety of food, good portions and best hotel breakfast ive had while traveling, in a long time. The BREAKFAST IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS & THE COMFY BEDS & GREAT STAFF. I extended my stay because of the staff really showing they care about the comfort of their clients.

There was still dog hair & human personality hair on the bathroom floor when I arrived, and public hair around toilet, on counter in bathroom & on floor. I sanitized all surfaces myself after seeing that. The toilet seat was broken on the attachments so when you sit on the seat it slides around. There were a couple things needing a fix, which the front desk person fixed immediately and very skillfully. The breakfast is great. Beds comfy & clean tv works fine, as does fridge & wifi was fast enough to work. Except for the unclean bathroom at first, I would recommend this Owen Sound Travellodge as a good place for work Travellers. I would use it again, but Please get the bathrooms VACUUMED not just swept. Otherwise, good staff, very helpful with every request & they respind quickly. I DO think it is overpriced. But again, the staff & the comfortable beds & respected privacy made it very worthwhile. Thanks to the front desk staff. They are great.

Stayed on route to somewhere else. Location is excellent. Rooms were clean. Parking and a small continental breakfast are included. There are many restaurants nearby and Tim Hortons is just across the street.

The breakfast was disappointing and very basic. It completely lacked hot food like scrambled eggs and sausages.

Das Motel liegt an einer Kreuzung einer Hauptstraße. Entsprechend laut ist es. Das Hotel wird hauptsächlich von Arbeitern genutzt, die ihre Trucks im Hof parken. Ab 6 Uhr ist also Trubel im Motel und auf dem Parkplatz. Frühstück landestypisch, aber alles da, um satt zu werden.

Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber sehr abgewohnt.

Location is good, there are many restaurants nearby including Tims is just across the road. Hotel also have some advertised restaurants which is good. Enough parking for the cars on both the sides of the hotel. Rooms were clean. There are minor repairs and checks required and should be done by the service team.

The a/c worked well and the beds were comfortable. The fridge was good. When we realized there wasn't an elevator, the staff made the effort to move one of our rooms to the main floor.

Room was clean enough, but too much big furniture and not enough functional furniture. Should have taken out the dresser, large cupboard and made room for a chair or two. The hairdryer didn't work and I called to the front desk, but no one responded. The accessiblity aspect was negligable. No elevator and you had to step over/into the tub for the shower. This should be noted in the website as we had people in our party who couldn't navigate the stairs. Accessibility shouldn't be an option in this day and age.

I gave it one star as zero stars was not an option. There were no redeeming characteristics at all. Free breaksfast? Would rather pay than eat what they called food. Did we mention the dried blood or ketchup stains on the wall. The terrible bed, the walls that needed fixing, the wifi that kept dropping? You could not pay me to stay here ever again.

There were less amenities in the room- no microwave to warm the food, no plates and cutlery, AC is either too cool or just warm, very poor wifi.

Service, value for money, location

Was disappointed with the overall cleanliness. The carpet felt sticky and even had a visible burnt iron mark. There was dust on the curtains, and the couches were stained and not inviting to sit on. The bathtub had black mark stains where a mat had been removed. The beds were fine, but the rest of the room did not meet basic cleanliness standards. Not much space to sit or stand in due to the dirt. The continental breakfast was poorly managed. There was no space to sit, the area was completely full, and long lines formed just to get breakfast. Combined with the room cleanliness issues, the overall experience was disappointing. At checkout, the receptionist didn’t acknowledge us at all. He didn’t look up, didn’t thank us, and simply took the key and said “all ok.” Combined with the cleanliness issues and the crowded breakfast, the overall stay felt below expectations.

The complimentary breakfast was good with many choices. The staff were polite and helpful. Very good location. Near to all basic necessities

The towers are a bit damp and just 3 pairs. The bed sheets also feel like damp or not freshly changed.

The dining area when we first walked in was filled with dirty laundry like they were using it as a staging area. Terrible. We didn't check in till well after 4:00 and all the hallways were filled with garbage and empty liquor bottles

Decent breakfast

Stayed one night on route to somewhere else. Hotel is in a good location and is easy to get in and out of. Parking and a small continental breakfast was included. Room was dated and could certainly use updating. Bathroom has seen better days, but bed was comfy and linen was clean. Person at front desk was nice. We likely wouldn’t stay there again, but it was fine for what we needed.

This is a basic accommodation but offered in a price that raise guests expectations. The breakfast area is small and packed during weekend. The mattress and pillows should be renewed.

It was the worst value for money that we experienced in the last 4 days. We reserved a king size and barely got a queen size.

We asked to leave at 11:30am and the man at the desk did not tell the cleaning staff so they knocked on our door at 11am so we would have liked the extra 1/2 hour.

I booked with a pet in BOOKING.COM and the property was hesitant of us having a room booked with pet. AT FIRST THEY SAID ALL ROOMS with pet is full! NOT GOOD. Looks like more of booking.com issue?

The staff were pleasant and the location was convenient

The hotel was dirty and very outdated, the bed was uncomfortable and hurt my back. The TV/Internet was also so slow that it couldn't be used

Breakfast fare was appropriate for the crowded area with only one staff member to refill the food supplies. Basically a grab and go situation. Good coffee. The room and bathroom looked clean. Good bedding and a comfortable mattress. The hard furniture and upholstered chair were in good repair.

The breakfast area is too crowded for the number of guests at a busy weekend. Particularly crowded due to guests with children and groups of families. Tables could not be cleaned between guests. The single staff member was kept busy just restocking the food and drink stations, so she could not clean the tables and chairs. Provide disinfectant wipes so the guests could wipe the table themselves. Provide hand sanitizer at the entrance to the dining area. The boiled eggs were small sized - offer medium sized eggs. No green tea was on offer. Garbage can was full to overflowing. Provide a second staff member during the peak days and times. You know the number of expected guests, please staff appropriately. No elevator to the upper floor. A pressed bedskirt makes a better impression than a really wrinkled one.

L'hôtel est vieux et pas entretenu, pas propre (moisissures sur les murs de la salle de bain, moquette pas propre, chaussette sous le lit, etc...) Personnel pas motivé, pas de communication. La ville d'Owen Sound n'est pas très belle

Nothing really, closet space is limited but for a night or two its very manageable

When I called to confirm my checkin would be around 10pm the reception person who answered the phone trying to provide misleading information by saying checkin is technically at 3pm, in another words he was trying to say it.s too late for checking to hotel. Not assisted in welcoming manner.

If you come a bit late for breakfast, there will be no enough food to eat. In our two nights of stay , we didn’t see any boiled eggs (which is only main source of protein) and fruits on the counter.

The counter staff was polite, and the lady servicing the breakfast room was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

The beds were a bit shabby with the dust ruffles torn and sagging. No info on TV operation. Spotty wi-fi. Considering the lead up and followup messages on checking yourself in and out, one wonders if guests are not considered too much trouble.

This travelogue is one of the best I’ve been to. Clean rooms and friendly helpful staff. Just a couple things could raise it to a five. Our room had a really bright outdoor security light shining in and no room darkening drapes. Also a couple of minor fixes like a wardrobe missing a door. Do something about the extreme overnight light in the room and it’s a great stay.

I appreciate the overall value for the money I got

While I was satisfied with everything overall, one item that could be better is the protein option for breakfast. We had boiled eggs which had to be peeled so it made for a bit of a cumbersome ordeal. Having scrambled eggs would be a more time efficient and tasty alternative.

The included breakfast was mediocre. Not alot of choices. For a continental breakfast it was ok but I have been to other hotels where it was better.

I recently stayed at the Travelodge by Wyndham Owen Sound and had a comfortable experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The location is convenient, with easy access to restaurants, stores, and local attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and good value for the price. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Owen Sound.
