Great stay, I have stayed many times this year as I attend school. This hotel is affordable and staff are always friendly. The breakfast is complete and the rooms were clean. Internet worked well.

Just the room the front desk could not provide me with a statement so I could use it for income tax. I wanted this to be sent to my home. Had visit to hospital and the dr. told me to get a statement, when I honed I couldn't get through on your website.

We could have used an extra chair to watch tv.

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Barrie. It's clean, comfortable, the staff is courteous, the breakfast is great, decent shower, free wifi... What more could you really want?

The hotel room smelled very musty. The rooms have been sorta, kinda renovated, but the AC unit was old and it all just felt a little dingy. We got back to our room late and I realized that the bedsheets were stained. The bed was reasonably comfortable but I absolutely would not stay here again.

I've stayed in a few budget hotels (see my other reviews). Some have been surprisingly good, so I always hold out hope. Well, Travelodge in Barrie shows how easily such hope can be dashed. The room, upon entry, smelled. Not sure of just what, but probably just age. I opened the window and turned on the AC to pump out air. Then I left to do errands. When I got back, it had improved. The decor itself is bizarre: laminate "wood" floors, blue accent wall, a faux-brick accent wall, a couple of paintings rescued from Goodwill, and furniture that, like the worn hall carpeting, reeked of "corporate office" circa 1991. The bathtub, one of those prefab units, had seen better days. Otherwise, clean. The bed was fine. But the worst was this: doors SLAMMING. The room doors are paper thin, so you can also hear everyone coming and going. Worse, they gave me a room right next to an exit stairwell. And sure enough, all night, loud metal CLICKs, until at least 4am, when I finally managed to fall asleep. Why are all these people in the stairwell? Why, going out to (and back from) the parking lot, to smoke. The only benefit to this place is that it is close to the 400, because you'll soon be on it and glad to get away from this declining property.

The shower didn’t really work. Water came out of both the spout and shower head at the same time. The shower did not drain so it was filling as I was showering. I was worried that it would overflow. The tv was weirdly tiny for the size of the room. It was also crooked but that’s not a huge deal. The worst was that only 3 pillows were on the bed. When we asked for more we were told that they didn’t have any. Those pillows are not fluffy enough to expect anyone to make do with 1 pillow.

The whole place stank, the room was small. ugly outdated compared to other hotels. I am disabled and there was NO ELEVATOR to my room on 2nd floor. Front staff were not professional, playing on phones...couldn't give me a receipt for my stay.

We were there for three nights, nothing in the breakfast changed.

No captioning available on the tv as requested, asked for a forth pillow the first night and were told it was not available. We reserved a king bed room, it had three pillows on the bed. I have not once stayed in a motel that did not have an extra blanket, as well as two extra pillows available on the room, until this stay, which had neither .

The AC in the room was Non-Existent. Our room was beside the exit so it was so loud.

It was mostly good, but the floor was dirty!

Location was great, loved the pool, loved the shower water pressure and also liked how close my room was to the parking spot of my car. The temperature control in our room was awesome, and the bed was very comfortable.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like but I wish they had a hot tub.

Rooms are large and have mini kitchen. Fine for an overnight with family. There is a small pool which is nice! The breakfast includes eggs and sausages and you can make waffles and the breakfast area is a nice area in the lobby.

Our TV did not work and this was not addressed by front desk. Air conditioner worked but was exceptionally loud. The door looked like someone had kicked in the lock (lock was fine but no repair on door)

The room was too hot and the ac did not seem to be working. We arrived late and just for one night so were not going to call to have maintenance come and look at it. My sister’s sheets had stains all over them. The breakfast was pathetic. The eggs were cold out of the refrigerator, there was only brown bread, no white. The only bagels were everything bagels. The only fruit available was oranges and they were all bruised and soft. The breakfast was very disappointing to say the least.

Double-charged for the stay and still waiting for a refund I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience with their billing. During my check-in/stay, the hotel double-charged my credit card for the accommodation (an extra $342.82). Booking.com customer support has already officially confirmed that this was an error and a temporary hold that needs to be released. However, it has been several days since my checkout, and the money has still not been returned to my account. The stay itself was fine, but this major accounting error and the delay in returning a significant amount of money ruined the overall impression. If you stay here, please watch your bank statements closely. I hope the management resolves this issue and processes my refund as soon as possible.

Cleanish and right off the highway. It was fine for one night quick stop over.

Lock on inside door was broken, they put us on a floor with a soccer team. Teams should always be put together on their own floor. They have often leave their doors open and talk loud. The alarm was left on for a 6:30 wake up. Staff should ensure alarms are not set on clocks.

No smile on receptionist’s faces

The staff is very pleasant, polite, and helpful. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but had the essentials: eggs and sausages, the sausages were actually quite good, whole wheat bread, etc. The cereals were Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes. Some Bran Flakes or Raisin Bran would not hurt. No non-dairy milk. I brought my own almond milk. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

We had to change rooms 3 times. The first had a communicating door, which we did not want. We asked for a transfer to a room without a communicating door, and we got one again. We moved on to a room with no communicating door, but with holes in the curtain. I finally spotted a room with an open door across the hall that had no communicating door and no holes in the curtain. However, a sewer smell came up the bathroom sink. After 2 nights, we were happy to leave. For $200.00/night, we were expecting more.

This hotel seems like it is meant for homeless people looking for somewhere to stay. The amount of people without rooms coming in and out of the front doorway disgusting. They would come in, use the bathroom, grab a free coffee or juice and be on their way! There were multiple crack heads and homeless people right outside the hotel. My children and I did not feel safe. While in the front lobby I watched 3 different people come to the font desk and say that “so and so company got them a room” I also witnessed multiple go to the front desk stating they lost their key. All of which was untrue. It says right in their policy that they can’t give you a room key unless valid photo ID is shown with the same name that booked the room they are clearly not following that. None of their staff even had uniforms they were in regular street clothes.

Location- yes its right off the 401, homeless people are standing outgrowth and back of the building asking for money Rooms- dirty! Walls are gross, bedsheets had blood stains!! Pool - broken tiles, a kid cut the bottom of their foot on one. Needs to be cleaned better Breakfast- juices and waffle mix are watered down and taste like shit. The cereal was stale. We ended up just going to tim hotons down the road. Price - they charged mu card 9xs all different amounts before I even stepped foot on the premises. 6 transactions were flagged for fraud.....1 approved and 2 declined....my bank confirmed all 3 approved....after 4hrs on the phone with hotel manager and the bank it was determined they did all infact approve....the hotel manager let it slip that the 3rd transaction for the security deposit did approve (after telling me numerous times it declined) AND the 1st transaction they issued a refund. While on the phone with them (I was at my daughters dance competition) there was another man at their front counter yelling that they did the same thing to him We checked out and went somewhere else along with anyone else that came with us The place is a joke!!!
