The accommodation, room and personal were great. Thank you for upgrading our booking. Porfirio, Margarito, thank you for your hospitality. See you next time.

The whole stay was very relaxing and "easy"; everything worked and there was no hassle whatsoever. The restaurants you have to reserve (and are not free? We had all-inclusive and could eat two times) have award-winning meals! Truly excellent! But the wine is still the same bad stuff you get in the rest of the hotel.
The buffets (main and pool restaurant) was very sub-par. They had a lot of selection/choice, but the quality was mediocre (main) to bad (pool). The alcohol isn't great (Wine is pretty bad, beer - as in all of Mexico - is quite tasteless, and most cocktails taste watered down)

The beach was nice bit more seaweeds also the adult pool was excellent.
Too much sargassum on the beach. I wasn't able to enjoy it. I don't plan to go back again.

The staff was super friendly.
We couldn’t enjoy the beach, too much sargassum.

It was clean. The drinks were quite tasty and included to the offer. Juices were lovely, different flavours. Housekeeping was nice and left the room always in great condition. The reception workers were nice and had a lovely chat with us. The evening shows were fine, very spectacular with the acrobatics. I loved the rodents in the forest bits and that most paths were well covered with trees. Sereques were the best! The kids loved the Vivito’s club.
The property is in a closed “more secure” area. The taxis (uber, indrive) are not allowed to come and pick up without a hassle with the reception. Friends can’t easily visit the hotel. There’s only rip off tourist shops around, no restaurants (except like Hard Rock or Starbucks) and as mentioned, it wasn’t easy to acceas Playa del Carmen without paying. Hotel was very expensive and had no kids slides or water fun for kids. Pools were very adult oriented and not extremely clean. Internet was not secure and often slow or nonexcisting. No use of safety deposit box without extra deposit. All the tours offered inside the complex were two or three times the price of Quinta Avenida. The Mexican restaurant was a pleasant experience but you need to book these in advance which was a hassle too. The normal buffet was DISGUSTING! I find it aweful that every morning we walk around the never ending buffet tables not finding anything good to eat. Thank goodness I had couple of weetabix packets with me. Papaya and lime was the best part of the breakfast. Evening buffet was just as bad, very low quality items and not very authentic Mexican flavours. Very disappointing, specially when we’d paid a lot. And they probably throw away a lot of food per day, because people were taking a lot and leaving a lot as it wasn’t delicious. Tennis rackets were given out when the court was already busy. No drying of clothes in your little balcony which was silly as everyone has wet clothes. We’d turn off AC everyday but housekeeping would turn it on running all day long in the room. Toilet got clogged very easily. Refill water was warm, no option of choosing cold water. Plus our bottle didn’t fit into the system. When leaving the hotel security told me to return with my bags to return the bracelet although I had paid for two more days.
The location was perfect, in a little city/village of its own with other resorts and safe place to ride bikes and close to so many other things to do. The staff were awesome and very nice. The resort was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The restaurants available for reservation were delicious.
I wish we had known you only get a certain amount of reservations for the restaurants ahead of time. That wasn’t made clear when booking the reservation.
The resort is all inclusive, it offers lots of free activities. I like the garden environment. Staff is very friendly.
The nightly show is too late. It starts at 9:30 pm. If it can start earlier it would be good.
Great staff, everyone was super friendly and helpful. The trapeze staff including Valentina, Kristin and Matt were exceptional. The grounds are actually prettier than the photos and the resort isn't too big.
The reservation only restaurants were pretty good but the buffet wasn't great. The selections and the buffet didn't change daily and the food was overall just okay. The rooms are a touch small but we were never in the room so it didn't matter. I was also disappointed that the kids club was only for kids 4 and up.
Beautiful hotel. Nice and comfortable bedrooms Food depends on where you eat. Restaurants are very good, buffet is a little greasy food. Cafe maya delicious hot drinks. Internet is bad except for the lobby. Trapeze is the best. For kids and adults! The team with Mara, Bettina, Vale, Krystal and Matt makes you feel comfortable to experience something different and so funny! They are great!
My family and I had a good time at this resort! We landed at Cancun airport and the transfer ride to the resort took around 40 mins. The land the resort sits on is pretty and full of nature (palm trees, various plants, coati, agouti, etc) and the rooms were nice and clean. The rooms have AC, hot water with a spacious shower, a safe, extra fleece blankets if you get cold at night, balcony, reliable wifi, TVs that you can log into your Netflix on - all of which we appreciated greatly. The beach was beautiful with clear water and minimal if any seaweed. There are plenty of chairs at the beach and spots can be found in the sun and shade alike. There is music playing around the main pool area during most of the day so if that bothers you I would recommend the adult pool or further down the beach instead. They have live music and parties at night that could, at times, be heard from our room so that may bother you if you like to go to sleep earlier. You can eat at the buffet, snack bar (has things like hotdogs, burgers, pizza, fries, etc), cafe, and restaurants by reservation. The buffet is your average mass produced food and there is plenty of options to choose from. The restaurants were good - we like the cosmopolitan one the best. The staff were very friendly for the most part - housekeeping, bar staff, food service staff, etc. We, like many Canadian guests, do not speak Spanish and the staff did their best to communicate with guests no matter the language. They regularly explain things in Spanish and English, French too sometimes. The nighttime shows were quite entertaining - we went to the the rock one and the Vegas one. One of the best parts of our trip was definitely the animation team who put on activities to do each day. Sexy Wil, Stephanie, Valentina, Jair, Ronaldo, and everyone else on the animation team brought so much energy, enthusiasm, and humour into every activity they ran. The cocktail class and cooking class were so fun! Overall the highlights were definitely the beach, nature surroundings, and animation team for us!
We had a great stay, the hotel is very nice and well located, just a 15-minute walk to 5ta Avenida, inside the safe Playacar community. What made our stay truly memorable, however, was the Mayan restaurant Xul-Ha inside the resort, a truly wonderful experience not only because of the food (you should try the ke-keen main) but also because of Leodany, Iván, Eduardo and the team, who made our dinner unforgettable through their kindness and impeccable service! We went for dinner three times in a single a week and can't wait to be back!
This resort was wonderful it is a smaller resort . The pool bar staff remembered our drinks from the first day animation shows at night were great we did 3 al a carts the best one was Italian beach gorgeous with lots of loungers
Absolutely amazing experience, this is our third time at Viva Maya and we will definitely be returning next year! Ismael went above and beyond and made the BEST spicy mango margaritas on the resort!
A wonderful resort. Great location with terrific food. Our housekeeper Bartolome, was particularly noteworthy. He was always pleasant and eager to please the guests. The wifi coverage would be my only complaint.
La playa
Más variedad de frutas
Excelente!!!
From the helpful staff to green water views of reivera Maya, from entertainment options within all inclisuve to ample options of food, despite us being on Halal diet, and were able to eat only few things but still manageable... a lot of things met our expectations. But the night performances and lots of free activities truly exceeded my expectations!
Except for a middle aged guy at the reception, forgot his name, who I found a little rude.. other than that, the staff was generally polite and very helpful. The biggest thing to spoil the experience was sea weed at the beach. You can't enter the water without going through it and it also spoiled the view. While they cleaned the beach, it all got ugly and not very vacation like. We went to Akumal especially to enjoy the beach there, but sea weed was everywhere.. I think it's a constant problem now during springs and summers.
No me gustó. No es un 4 estrellas
Bebida. Comida etc
The entertainment, night shows, restaurants, and the staff. The entertainment and show staff were excellent and friendly.
The water in the jacuzzi was cold.
Very nice location.
Expected more from the room since we did pay a lot of money it was very basic.
Good location and view, terrifying service
The location is absolutely beautiful, and the ambience is pleasant and relaxing. Unfortunately, the food was very bland and could use significant improvement. I personally did not care for it at all. The drinks were also disappointing—very generic and lacking quality or creativity. Most of the staff were attentive and kind, which I appreciated, though there were one or two individuals who came across as unfriendly. While the setting itself is lovely, the overall experience did not meet my expectations. Because of this, I would not return. Thankfully, we had another reservation during this trip at a resort we have visited before and truly enjoy, which made the rest of our vacation much better. Viva Maya is okay, but it simply fell short in the areas that matter most to us—food and drinks. While the location and ambience are strong points, they were not enough to make up for the overall disappointment.

The Guy‘s Geisler & Ramon it’s very nice & cool People. Good Drink‘s, Good Vibes, Fantastico😎🤩🥳💪🏻🫶🏻Thank you the All Crew!
For any adrenaline lovers looking for a unique activity right at the resort, trapeze might just be your thing! As a beginner, I really enjoyed being expertly guided through the initial knee hang sequence and within a week progressing to getting caught by a professional catcher! Valentina, Mara, Krystal and Bachita were so lovely and helped me feel safe, comfortable and confident each step of the way. It was also awesome to watch them train for their upcoming performances. Thank you so much ladies!
We took 33 clients to the Wyndham Viva Maya in Playa del Carmen last week. One of our group fell on the dark, unlit path and broke her arm in four places requiring surgery. The hotel claimed to have 24 hour medical help but that wasn't true at all. There was complete lack of help from the hotel and one of our other guests (a Canadian RN) had to get her to the hospital and advocate from her. We never heard from any hotel medical staff for the full week we were there. In the subsequent days the hotel never checked on her. She's considering suing the hotel - the area was dark and a major trip hazard. We absolutely WOULD NOT recommend this hotel. Mediocre food, terrible service no drinks or water, coffee in the room. Lowest quality soap and no other products, difficulty booking the a la carte restaurants. The beach is nice and it’s not the hotel’s fault that you are constantly being asked for money but the long lines for the bar service made the whole thing difficult. No matter how many times I asked to speak to a manager they never let me or gave me any contact information after 8 requests. Rooms were okay but there was no way to change the temperature. The feeling was that all of the Caribbean is booked for the winter and they don't have to provide anything but the basics as they will sell out. When I queried their service they all but said that to me. Just a head's up as there might be some of you considering this package.
Best trapeze team and dancers in last 15 yrs Wow this is by far the most amazing and talented trapeze team Viva Maya has had in the 15+ years I have been going here. I do flying trapeze at home and this team is beyond incredible and has the ability to truly teach. Not only are they talented but they are so kind and great workers; allowing catching when guest are ready even if it’s a few days in a row, they even stay the full session so guests can keep flying. Betinha the head of the trapeze team has done such an amazing job with new staff; their own flying is incredible and her ability to teach everyone from fresh beginners to experienced flyers is an absolute dream. The whole team from Mat with his amazing energy and catching skills, to sweet Krystal who will amaze you with her hair hanging show, Mara with her amazing strength and her chain routine, and of course Valentina who exudes her love of Ariel routines you can feel her joy and love of the sport when she performs. Please keep this trapeze team I cannot imagine how they could ever be replaced; they are irreplaceable. Out side of their flying trapeze talents their Ariel performances are the best I have ever seen at any hotel. Dancers: Mauricio has done wonders for the dancers. While it used to be embarrassing to watch the shows I was now excited to see all the performances. Not only has the choreography drastically improved along with the costumes the dancers were outstanding. This is the most talented bunch of dancers I have seen; everyone of them was amazing. Charby, Lorisse, Lucy, Diego, Andryck, Andres, Fabiano, nisi. Animation: I always love the crazy games that are hosted. Special shout out to Ronaldo, Laura, Carolina who were always so nice and greeted me with big smiles every day. I looked forward to them hosting games. Sports Team: I love the water sports so I was very excited to see the amazing Johnathan back overseeing and had a great catamaran ride with Rodolfo. Members Staff: Antonio at the members beach area is such an amazing staple always so pleasant and getting drinks delivered on the beach. Then of course there is Noe in the members buffet area who remembers my drink and has it ready for me at meals.
This resort is one of our favourites! Our third time back. The staff are truly so patient and kind. Betinha, Mara, Valentina, Matt and Krystal at the trapeze are very fun, patient and extremely skilled! Convinced all of our family (6 of us ranging from 13- 78 years of age) to try. None of us regret it! Rodolfo on the catamaran and archery was another stand out staff member. You are all amazing and we can not wait to return. Thank you foe the amazing memories xo
Food: food was good however I have been to a few other resorts in Mexico where food was a lot better. I didn’t have any massive complaints but not the biggest selection compared to what I’ve seen. Breakfast they had: omelettes, eggs, pancakes, french toast, yogurt, cereal, saw bacon but they seamed to always be out by the time i got up to the line:( Not a lot of meet options for breakfast. Lunch: the pool bar lunch was for sure the best. amazing oven baked pizza, french fries, nachos, guac, pasta salad, rice. Dinner: the buffet wasn’t anything super special but was sufficient. We went to 2 alacarts. first being Mexican which was amazing! staff made the experience fun and food was amazing. The second was italian which i was quite disappointed by and none of us really enjoyed the food there. Overall they do have reasonable options that everyone can find something but not a massive selection. Rooms: Our room was clean, everything worked nothing was broken. Safe worked just fine and the maids cleaned each day supplying us with new towels and eveytging. no complaints here. Pool: there is the main pool with the pool bar and another adults only pool. The adults only pool was very quiet and almost no one was there any day which can be nice for some quiet. The main pool is where they had any entertainment and foam pool parties. Only complaint about the main pool is there was a smell of vomit for the entire time of our stay. It wasn’t that bad and was very easily avoidable so don’t let that put you off from booking but I did want to mention. Otherwise everything was super clean all around. Entertainment: Was a little disappointed by the day time entertainment at the pool. Was with a group of young girls and we wanted to have fun and there wasn’t much. One day had a foam party which was a lot of fun but the other days had next to nothing. Not a lot of people hung out at the pool bar those days. At night they had live music a few nights which were done really well and they also had shows a few nights. We didn’t stay to watch for long but they seam to be pretty good. Staff: in comparison to everywhere else i’ve been the staff weren't super eager to help or overly friendly. The breakfast was very self serve in the sense you get your own water and everything. out of 6 days there was only 1 day someone actually offered me coffee with my breakfast which was disappointing otherwise i didn’t mind it. Lobby: the bar at the lobby made the best drinks!! Staff here was a bit more friendly. Lines did sometimes get long but they had 3 people working the best they could. Lots of seats to hang out and they have a sports bar upstairs which normally had loud music with lots of dancing and was a fun vibe. The resort overall was very quiet. The music didn’t affect sleep in any way. As soon as you walked back downstairs you could barely hear it anymore. Coffee bar: had the best coffee. lots of options. with snacks smoothies and more. The smoothies weren’t my favourite ever but they were pretty deacent. Had a bit of a milky taste to them but not in a bad way. Frappes were my go to the entire time! Beach: the beach was clean. had a bit of seaweed some days but they work hard to keep it clean and they can only work so hard. only 1 day had seaweed in the water the rest were pretty good! Waves were quite strong for a few days but all depends on the time you go. Overall if you’re looking for somewhere as a cheaper option this is definitely a great place to consider. If you’re willing to spend a bit more money I do think there is better options but depends on how much you want to spend.
I cannot fault our recent trip to Viva Maya in any way! The whole complex is so clean, the shrubbery and trees were so well kept and gave a great nature feel throughout and being an all inclusive you worry about the food but the restaurants to pick from all served great food with lovely service and the buffet gave an amazing selection too. What also made the trip so unforgettable was the staff throughout the hotel, how friendly and accommodating they were and one person in particular was Marta from guest services. She was extremely helpful with bookings for food, recommendations for places outside the hotel, excursion tips aswell and her English was probably also the best i heard the entire time i was there but everytime that we went to Guest services she was always there with a smile and more than happy to help!
Antonio waiter on the beach is the friendly an perfect to all. Amazing look for everyone. Joint the beach and be lucky 🤩🤩🤩
Cenas variadas me gustó.
We stayed at this resort from: 10/26 thru 11/02/25. The beach is beautiful, however the resort wasn’t what we expected. Mostly all reviews we saw online were great, unfortunately ours isn’t. We go to Cancun at least once a year and have been to many resorts, this resort is below average. First bad impression was during check in. While it was pretty busy, only two representatives were working the front desk and it took forever to get a room. It also didn’t help that our rep wasn’t friendly. Once in our room, we immediately noticed we didn’t have a coffee pot nor a mini bar! The room only comes with an empty mini fridge, a safety box and a thermos which you need to use to go fetch your own drinking water from some reserved areas! When I asked for a coffee pot I was advised only club members get a coffee pot!!! This resort is small and only has 1 buffet so it gets a bit uncomfortable in the dining area because of course it is usually full, also no air conditioner in dining area. The food selection is pretty much the same every single day, they rarely change the menu. The buffet staff tried to avoid you at all cost so you really have to work hard at getting their attention! Luckily, there is a really good server, Antonio, he truly goes out of his way. He is always singing and has an eternal smile on his face. From 3 a la carte restaurants we visited:(Mediterranean, Italian and Mexican) we only liked Italian (thank you Christian for facilitating the reservations.) This place only has two bars and if it wasn’t bad enough that the liquor served is unknown and very cheap you also need to wait on line for at least 20 minutes to get a drink! The whirlpool is COLD! They have a couple small swimming pools (cold water too) which are usually crowded. Our room was cleaned daily around 10-11am, but our friend’s room, which was next to ours was cleaned daily after 3pm and this really annoyed them. A few staff confided they are under staffed and also shared they heard the same complaints from multiple guests and have shared this with management but no one listens. Lighting around the resort isn’t the best and floors are often wet. I fell and luckily my friend asked front desk for help and they had their staff look at my injury. A shout out to Araceli, she was so professional yet so caring while looking at my injury.
Lovely complex. Our room was excellent. The place is spotless even the beach. The food was varied and we tried everything. The setting is second to none. The staff are lovely and the animals you see wondering around are cute. 👍💖
We booked a 7-day trip with Air Canada for $1100 CAD (flight & transport included). We didn't expect much from Viva Maya, since we were looking for something economical, yet our expectations were blown away! Everything about Viva Maya was great. The rooms were clean and had great AC, the beach was beautiful, there tons of activities to do, the buffet was great and had tons of flavor and meat. The entire staff was very attentive and kind. The Wi-Fi in the room was not the best, but they had a great café where you could go work or study. There were no hiccups of any kind, and we are very happy with the value we got.
Very good entertainment and shows. The trapeze team was great teaching me some fun skills to do and is also FREE, I trusted them with my life. My group and I had a great time and definitely one of the best Viva resort that we have visited out of 3.
Our vacation was amazing at the Viva Mayan in Playacar. My daughter had especially a fantastic time with trapeze team of Betinha, Mara, Valentina, Krystal, and Mat. Thanks again for the wonderful memory
We stayed at the hotel from the 5th of October to the 15th . We are actually on our contacting flight to Nova Scotia right now . We had an amazing time celebrating our 40th anniversary the staff went above and beyond from the day we arrived ,from the anniversary banner on the door to the champagne 🍾 and food that was waiting for us in the room when we arrived . Pools and beach were amazing, and the weather was fantastic 👌 couldn't have asked for better . Food was really good we ate at the buffet mostly or the snack bar . The little coffee shop is good and also had pastries and sandwiches . The staff are wonderful and very helpful . We spent most mornings at the beach and afternoons at the adult pool Margarito at the adult pool bar is an amazing asset to this hotel ,he is so nice . We were always in bed early so can't comment on the night time shows . We also went to the sports bar for a while at night This hotel has the best of both worlds you can go to a quiet spot and relax or spend time at the main pool and enjoy the activities and music . Thank you for an amazing time and we will see you soon
Well, where do we begin? We only booked this vacation two days before and wow! We hit the jackpot, yes it’s a 3* resort according to Tui but we were made to feel really welcome by the amazing staff, very clean resort the staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining. amazing beach and pool. The entertainment team were awesome they put on events and games for all ages. Never thought 50’year old me would be doing water gym everyday 😆 Thank you team Villa Maya Love G&T x
The personal is nice all the time they treat us like a kings is wath we use this resort for 15 years in a row
drinking water is not good
This is exceptional fun for all ages. My children received a briefing beforehand, so the fun could start right away. A big thank you goes to Betinha, Mara, Valentina, Kristal, and Mat, who have mastered the art of motivation and safely guide young and old to a successful trapeze experience.
At Viva Maya Trapeze best staff , soooo patient and helpful, thank you so much for teaching me , Valentina , Mat , Betinha ,
Great spot
The hotel has a great location and is very pleasant. It's very clean, and having animals around people is a great idea. Unfortunately, it has its drawbacks. The food was terrible, of very poor quality, which had nothing to do with Mexico. The beer at the bar was awful, even watered down. The best place was the cafe, which served delicious coffee, cakes, and doughnuts. It was a very friendly place to spend time. Another huge downside was the quality of sleep. We stayed at the hotel for a week, and four of nights we didn't sleep. The hallway where the doors to the rooms are located is not soundproof and is incredibly noisy. Every time the doors close, we wake up. On the first night, at 2 a.m., there was an argument in the hallway, and people were banging on the doors. The last few nights, a group of teenagers showed up and partied all night, chasing each other down the hallway and running from door to door. Ultimately, it was our first vacation where we were happy to back home. What surprised us most was that upon check-out we were charged a $10 fee for losing our hotel bracelet.
Very low waiters around pool and beach area.
My family decided to go to Viva Maya resort for our 3rd trip to Mexico. So glad we did. We all had a great time from the beginning to the end. All around activities- entertainers are awesome especially Sexy Willy so funny and friendly. So much things to enjoy- the food the service the nightly shows the dancing. We loved our experience here and would love to come back here again. Thank you!
The cleanliness is 10/10 and the staff is wonderful! I’ve been there 3 times now, and hoping to return!
Immaculately clean, waterside had some seaweed, no coral reefs unfortunately but this is just location based stuff. Staff was amazing. Shows and events all over the facility, 24/7 bars and food, absolutely beautiful scenery, everyone including the overworked staff was incredibly friendly whether they spoke English or not.
Everything about this place exceeded my expectations! Beautiful place. Will be returning for sure! The staff are absolutely amazing and friendly as well.
There is no internet in the dormitories,no bottle water
The rooms was spotless the maids cleaned everyday the pool was so dirty there was flys and debris in it everyday, the food was awful terrible shocking. Some of the staff were so rude, I got loads of flea buts from the animals in the smoking areas I choose this hotel because it has water sports included in the price but then they had a notice up all cancel because the port master was checking there license. But you could use the jet skie when you pay for them, its strikes me strange anything that's free is not available but if you paying it is. I would never return nor would I recommend it to anyone it's a shocking bad resort i complain and nothing changed, its all about becoming a member there more interested in you if you become a member
I cannot say enough how much I loved this place. The food was amazing and staff was super friendly, bubbly and accommodating. I was on a girls trip and we felt very safe and welcomed the whole time. It was a great location within walking distance of many shops and activities.
This was our 4th stay and on my previous couple stays I provided recommendations for improvements. One was starting the nightly entertainment on time. While not perfect this time, it was significantly improved. The other suggestion was to improved the graphic displays of videos shown before the night time shows. While there was no improvement noted, that is a minor issue. The front desk staff; the entire buffet restaurant staff; all the bartenders; and maid service ALL get 5 star ratings. They were all fantastic. And other than a disappointing “Audience Participation” show, ALL other 6 night’s of entertainment were absolutely wonderful. We will be coming back again as I felt this property is an AMAZING deal…which is why we have now brought 3 other couples with us during the past 3 stays. Great job to all! We’ll see you next year.
The room AC's were not cold at all, and after complaining, they moved us to another room, which was just as bad. The buffet area was a sweat box also. The show area had no overhead fans, and we were melting at night in September, no less. This place sucks. The only place to hang out here was the sports lounge which is above the lobby bar, and had excellent AC. Anytime we were hot, we just went there to cool off. Pay more and stay somewhere else.
After a fantastic holiday spent at this resort, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to thank all the staff and responsible people and share my thoughts about it. We were a group of friends and family that visited this hotel on the beginning of September, and I don’t think we could have chosen a better hotel to spend 7 amazing days. We were a bit worried about the sargassum, but the cleaning done every morning made us forget it was even there. This is not the case in some nearby hotels, where we noticed during a walk that the same care isn’t taken, resulting in an unpleasant appearance and smell on these otherwise wonderful beaches. The daily room cleaning was good, always with ‘animals’ made with towels that delighted our daughters. The outdoor areas are always well maintained, and we were able to see wildlife (capybaras, monkeys, and other animals) along the paths. One area for improvement relates to the lack of beverages in our room, especially water. We’re used to having some drinks placed in the room’s fridge, which never happened here. Regarding water, we understood that the hotel adopted an eco-friendly measure by placing a mug in the room and ‘requiring’ guests to fetch water from dispensers located in the corridors. This is a good idea for daily hygiene purposes (like brushing teeth), however, if we need cold water to drink during the night, it’s not possible, as the mug doesn’t fit in the fridge. We felt the food wasn’t very varied, but the quality was always excellent and there was always a bit of everything. We never went hungry and were always satisfied with the food and the variety available. Freshly grilled items were always available, along with pizzas, pasta, etc. The only thing we noticed at the buffet was the lack of air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in some very hot moments. So, our suggestion is to sit near or directly under the ceiling fans. The themed restaurants we chose (Don Diego, Portofino, and Miramare) exceeded our expectations: top quality and generous portions. There’s always food available outside for those who get hungry during the day. The quality of drinks at the bars was good enough, and we were met with friendliness from all the staff in general. We also used the large pool (usually at the end of the day), which in our opinion had water that was a bit too warm. There is some daytime entertainment (although we didn’t take much advantage of it, apart from a game or two), but I must highlight the quality of the evening shows. The dancers were spectacular, with very interesting choreography. On some nights, there was also a lively area near the reception where everyone could dance. During these moments, we could even enjoy the company of the dancers who had performed just minutes earlier in the show. I can’t go without highlighting the fantastic beach that serves this hotel. We spent hours in this turquoise-colored, warm sea. As a suggestion, at this time of year, the best option is to enjoy the beach in the morning, as the wind picks up in the afternoon and the sea becomes slightly rougher. Although the beach doesn’t have the usual umbrellas, the existing trees provide more than enough shade for everyone who needs it. In conclusion, we 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely return at the next opportunity.
Lovely relaxing complex with beautiful pools, our room wasn’t the one we booked as shown on the website it was a little out dated but large in size and comfortable, the buffet restaurant wasn’t our favourite but had lots to offer but the a la carte restaurants were pleasant, the beach was beautiful with white sand palm trees and clear turquoise water, also a great coffee shop on site with lots of choice in great coffees and sweet snacks , the adult pool was very relaxing apart from the Canadian lady with the husband with a Texas mustache she had some kind of jealousy issues and was attacking women on the resort accusing them of looking at her very strange husband ( me being one of them) very insulting to me and my husband as they were double our age but other than that we had a lovely time.
We stayed for 7 days as a family (my wife, my son, and I), and overall the experience was very good. The room was excellent: comfortable, clean, and in a great location close to both the pool and the beach, with a beautiful view to enjoy the sunrise every morning. I especially want to highlight the staff’s outstanding service, which made our stay so much more enjoyable: • Upon arrival, Martha helped us book the four specialty restaurants, which made things much easier. • Citlali, from guest services, recommended a restaurant on 38th Street with Yucatecan food, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience with great food and atmosphere. • At the pool bar “The Reef,” Petro and Egleir always greeted us with kindness; Egleir, in particular, made some delicious appletinis. • At Portofino, Gabriel was an excellent waiter, always attentive and professional. • And of course, Jair from the entertainment team did an amazing job creating a fun atmosphere at the pool and on the beach with games, activities, and exercises. The daily activities are very engaging, and there’s always something to do, while the night shows at 9:30 were really enjoyable. From the Mexican Night to Hollywood Pop, all of the performances were of high quality, with great dancing and lots of energy. It was the perfect plan after dinner. The beach is wide, with white sand and a very relaxing vibe. At times there was some seaweed (which is common in the area), but the staff worked hard to keep it clean
5 out of 5 for the entertainment team! Especially Willy and Brendon.. A definite 5 for Cafe Maya with lovely coffee and pastries every morning A definite 5 for the scenery and the tropical feel, especially pre dinner drinks in the area by the reception bar, they also have entertainment there from 10.30 and you can have a lovely cocktail in a glass! A definite 5 for the beach location and the cleanliness, also very conscious of the environment. However, we were disappointed with our room 1119. Its view was a blue plastic wall, with lots of noise from 7.30am! Also lots of people being very loud at night! Sometimes 2 in the morning! The air con was so noisy as well, so that was disappointing and difficult to get used to. The restaurants were ok, Mexican was great atmosphere but food not great. We did enjoy the cosmopolitan. The international buffet was not great to be honest, we really did struggle. Please please get some air con in there, it’s so hot and humid. We had a great 2 weeks stay all in all but just some points that could be improved..
The property was very well maintained. Theyndont provide face towels or wash cloths just hand towels and bath towels. Smaller property. Staff is nice and accommodating. If you're looking for a mid level hotel this is it. The buffet serves the same food everyday. I was onlybable to book one restaurant
