We booked airport transfer online but due to some urgencies we couldn't wait for the pick up at airport. We had to go to the hotel by grab. The hotel manager offered us free flow of drinks and snacks for 2 hours being service recovery and also air port transfer from hotel on our returning day. Thank you so much. Overall it was a pleasant stay!

Superb unbeatable central location, within stone’s throw to easy shopping and food in classic central Hat Yai. E-hailing transport is easy, a few junctions away from Kim Yong market and more! Hotel is also offering good price for food though I did not try. Room is decent, aged but still desirable. Lobby staffs are courteous and accomodating.

Bit run down. Sound proofing not the greatest with regards to outside traffic noise. Water pressure not the greatest. “Central” aircond can be a tad erratic. But no major deal breaker here so give and take it’s alright!

Not a 4 star hotel. It’s an average 3 star. Old. Needs refurbishing. Smelly hall ways. When you arrive it is not obvious where the entrance to the hotel is because there is no reception, just 2 elevators. When you get in the elevator there is no information which floor reception is ! It’s on the 6th floor ! The singer in the reception area was awful (tone deaf). There was a big black hair on the bed. During the night other doors in the hall way were slamming loud. In the morning other doors in the hall way were slamming loud. The owners and management of this property have some work to do.

Location wise it can’t get more central, at the end of the bustling street that turns into a shopping pedestrian walk at night. There are some good restaurants around, such as the popular suckling pig place across the road. There are also agencies around the area to make travel bookings. The lobby offers complimentary drinks. The lounge wakes up every night to live singing, but the Japanese restaurant was closed at the time we were there. Our stay included a huge breakfast buffet spread. Our rooms were comfortable although maybe a little worn down at parts, nothing that bothered us. Rates are very reasonable too and so are the drinks at the hotel. Highly recommended!

Linen, towel are too old. I think it is time to change the pillow and mattress. It retained some smells. Make it worth for money.

过敏人群慎入，房屋潮湿有霉味，空调吹出一股味，我和朋友都有鼻炎和过敏，进屋喉咙和鼻子就不舒服。躺在床上皮肤就开始痒，最后和衣而睡，但是裸露在外的皮肤还是过敏长疹子了。地域潮湿，空调灰大，窗户不能开的问题吧！（照骗！图片很新，内里很旧，同等价格可以选其他更好的！）

Excellent location. OUTSTANDING staff; incredibly helpful, friendly and competent. One of the best experiences with hotel staff we've ever had, right down to the individual housekeepers. While really showing its age and needing a bit of maintenance every space was very clean and nice smelling.

The facility looks like it hasn't had a refresh for 30+ years. Finish materials were peeling and cracking in the room. Old, scratched windows.

街の最も賑わっているエリアに立地している。フロントは広く、レストランやカフェも併設されている。スタッフはよく教育がされており対応が丁寧だった。部屋は広く清掃が行き届いており快適。バスルームは少し古めだがバスタブがあるため湯をはって浸かることできた。 チェックアウト後、搭乗便まで時間があり、フロント前のソファーに長居をさせてくれた(お茶まで提供してくれた)。 よく気が利く初老の男性スタッフがおり、滞在客一人一人に細かな気配りをしていた。

バスルームのゴミ箱にビニールがかかっていないため、使用後のトイレットペーパーを捨てるのを躊躇する。 念のためフロントに確認したところ、やはりトイレットペーパーは流さず、備え付けのゴミ箱に入れるようにとのことだった。

The staff are courteous and helpful, I think there is a staff specifically to attend Malaysians, so are certain other countries. The hotel location somewhat in the town center, easy access to public transport, eateries and malls.

Before i arrived in Hatyai, the staff from Centara WhatsApp me informing me that their hotel were encountering some issue with their air conditioning, hence need to relocate me to another hotel. They put in New Season hotel which is also nearby. Stay was good, rooms are modern and clean. Of course Centara location would be better. Whenever i come to Hatyai, i will still choose to stay in Centara.

Hotel so old redy, carpet in the room and corridor bringing some unpleasant smell, and the furniture in the room looks old, compared to so many other new hotel which just 1-2km away, time to upgrade

We stayed in a suite. Two bathrooms. Main one had clearly been renovated. Modern look but same tiles used on wall as floor. Totally unsuitable to use on floor. I slipped when floor wet and was very fortunate not to kill myself with a blow to the head off the toilet or wash basin table. It was lethal. I was admitted to hospital fortunately without serious consequences but that was chance. The bathroom was totally unsafe. In fairness when informed staff could not have been more helpful concerned or kind. But the first rule is that the accommodation must be safe.

I am writing to share my exceptional experience at the Centara Hotel Hat Yai during my four-day stay this past May. Over the last three decades, Centara has established itself as a premier four-star destination, and my recent visit confirmed that this reputation is well-earned. I was pleasantly surprised to find a level of charm, hospitality, and class comparable to the Mandarin Oriental or the Peninsula in Bangkok. The hotel attracts a sophisticated clientele, primarily from Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. Many are repeat guests, including world travelers who appreciate the friendliness, cuisine, and local attractions that make Thailand famous. What truly distinguishes Centara is how the team handles unexpected events. On my first day, I suffered a deep cut on my palm. The staff responded immediately; a well-trained receptionist dressed the wound before the hotel arranged for my transport to the hospital. Centara coordinated with the emergency staff, covered the treatment costs, and provided a chauffeured vehicle. Throughout the remainder of my stay, the entire team remained attentive to my recovery. Furthermore, upon learning I planned to explore the area by car, the hotel manager graciously arranged a vehicle and driver for my four-day trip. While I paid the basic rental rate, the hotel covered the fuel, the driver’s services, and his per diem. I am deeply impressed by the hospitality and management at Centara Hotel Hat Yai and wanted to commend the team for their outstanding service.

We really enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The room's cleanliness was decent, and the Wi-Fi worked great. We will come back again on the next trip.

Honestly, there's nothing we don't like about Centara Hat Yai, everything met our expectations.

fantastic location. I would consider Centara as one of the better hotels in Hatyai. Service staffs are well trained, all very polite, and I must mention concierge Charaat who is always cheerful and smiling. If price is a bit better I would give a10 star rating.

During our check-in day, we we told that the hotel main aircon unit were out of order. The management offer us to the nearest New Season Square hotel with no further payments.

The shuttle van to shift us from Centara to New Season Square was that smooth and we end up taking our own transport there.

Booked Centara Hotel Hat Yai via Expedia for my family in January 2026 for travel in June 2026. Expedia advised 4 days before arrival that this hotel would not honour the bookings. Messaged the hotel and received no response, which is so rude. Now left with nowhere to stay and having to find somewhere. Would you want to trust this hotel with your booking? I will not trust Centara ever again
