Our plans changed, so we ended up extending our stay for another four nights after our original 14-night stay. This time, we moved to a three-bed room, which was perfect for our family of three—having a bed for each of us made the stay even more comfortable. We had another great stay and were just as happy with the hotel as we were the first time!

Great location, spacious room, and wonderful service. The hotel is very conveniently located for visiting Stanford University and attending tech events around Silicon Valley. Our room was quite large, and the view was beautiful. A special thank-you to the gentleman at the front desk (I unfortunately didn’t get his name). My son arrived late at night, and he was incredibly kind and helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. We really appreciated his warm welcome and assistance. We had a great stay and would happily stay here again!

I wish there were an abundant more of the pool towels. They are always empty.

Breakfast is lacking substance

This is my home away from home in the city. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and it is very peaceful surroundings. With the beautiful landscaping it's easy to forget you are in the city. Coffee and above average muffins and pastries in the morning was a plus.

It would be nice to have a couple of extras coffees in the room but it wouldn't stop me from staying there.

Loved the location and the garden setting. The rooms were super clean (except for the occasional ant, lol) and I love the fact that there was a fantastic little deli right on the same property

We had to deal with a few ants in our bedding, but we had been warned beforehand that we might encounter some stray bugs because of all the foliage. Also, housekeeping came in banged on our door at 8:00 in the morning and woke us up.

Great little gem, fully updated. I stayed there for this year's HotChips conference at Stanford, an easy 7min drive from here. Room was spacious and quiet. They have a convenience store on premise. Front desk was attentive and very friendly. I'll definitely return.

Perfect rooms in a beautiful setting. Terrace near the creek, beatiful trees, pool. A coming-home place. Hidden gem. Perfect to go out for a run as well.

We have stayed at the creekside consistently for over 8 years when our son first visited Stanford, through his undergrad and masters and then working in Palo Alto. The beds are super comfortable. The pool is a lovely place to chill. Rooms are always super clean and staff is lovely

Perfect hotel for business. It's quiet, and the service is excellent. It is located really close to my HQ offices so it's walking distance for me, and staff working there are always really friendly.

The Nature got me in awe, whether you are on the patio or taking a walk its gorgeous, room is very clean, furniture well arranged, classic, feels very homie! Patio is beautiful, relaxing as the nature gives you peace! Staff is so nice Creekside in will always be our top places to stay while in Palo Alto! Til next time! :) Thank you!

Very nice green quiet hotel in a very lovely area close to shops, restaurants.

Excellent location. Beautiful, sparkling clean, quiet. The heated outdoor pool is a huge plus - especially with the hot weather we have been experiencing. Nice to have the option of covered parking. Staff is top tier. Will be back!

This is my favorite place to stay near Shoreline Amphitheatre. It’s a cozy boutique hotel with beautiful grounds, nice amenities and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. We had a balcony with a lovely view of the grounds. There are lots of cozy seating areas spread throughout the grounds. I always wish I was staying longer when I come.

The room was spacious and very clean. I stayed 3 nights and hated to leave the bed behind. The pillows were wonderful and nice thick bath towels. Real coffee cups and glasses are a nice touch

The stay at Creekside was perfect. Quiet and clean room. I would choose this hotel again. Unfortunately the little on-site store is closed on Sundays and I was there on Sunday. That was the only problem.

Nice for short term business trips

Lovely hotel convenient to Stanford. We really enjoyed the beauty of the grounds - very relaxing. Rooms were spotless, breakfast was yummy, and the pool was nice. Deli/small grocery store on site made everything very convenient. The best part was the people! Everyone was so nice and accommodating! Would definitely stay here again.

coffee in the room inadequate

We were told many times coffee and treats were available at 6:30AM (while chrcking in) it was not. I went to Starbuck who mI dislike and $7.00 for 2 coffees. The late coffee availabilty is not good. This happened the previous time also. 6:30 Am or even 6AM should be the availability time for coffee.

I’ve been here a week in Palo Alto not loving how this community has been flattened by “development “ I have stayed at Sheraton, Westin and now here at Creekside Inn. By a mile the comfort and service at this true old school MCM California, Inn, its trees and creek setting win!! The smiles and service are genuine!! Comfort level is outstanding, open windows and patios are not for he norm anymore is a plastic world. Thank you! 🙏 Emily

Easygoing peaceful venue with hospitable staff and clean rooms!

Clean room with its own aircon unit. The only reason this review isn’t a 4 is because of the Knott is generated by the Aircon unit, it got quite warm at night and it’s not possible to sleep with the Aircon running. Otherwise a lovely stay, well placed. Fantastic Brazilian steakhouse restaurant attached, not the cheapest, but very high-quality. The sandwich deli that is just across from the rooms is also great, and the small shop is also very useful to have on site. Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable, and a good breakfast!

We stayed for 2 nights. This is an older property that is well cared-for & maintained. The grounds are lovely, with old-growth trees & bushes. Just know that you may encounter a few bugs outside--flies, mosquitoes, bees, other flying & crawling insects as well. This is not an issue for us, and we didn't have any unpleasant encounters with any bugs but we definitely saw them. If you have mobility issues, I suggest requesting an ADA room or a room with only a shower, as the tub/shower enclosures have glass doors & can be difficult to get in & out of if you have mobility issues. Also, some of the buildings are 2-story and only have stairs--no elevators--so be sure to ask about that if you have mobility issues as well. There is one building--the tower building--that does have an elevator and it's a newer building that overlooks the swimming pool. Check-in staff were awesome, helpful and accommodating. Our room was spotless, there was a small fridge & a microwave, robes in the closet & even an umbrella to use if we needed (we didn't). There was a safe in the room as well. The bed was very comfortable too. There is a cafe on-site, with a coffee bar & a deli serving sandwiches, salads, grab & go food/drinks, and ice cream as well. They're open Monday-Saturday, closed Sundays. There is also a Brazilian Steakhouse on-site, we had dinner there one night and it was delicious, service was awesome. It might be a little pricey for some, so check it out in advance via their website, and you do need reservations. There are also many places to eat and to purchase needed items nearby, and you can always use DoorDash or UberEats if you don't want to leave the premises. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful spot in a quiet, calm and nature filled place right in the city. We even forgot we were in a city! Everything was in order and we wanted for nothing!

Personal were friendly & responsive. Room amenities were good. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Off the main road, so more tranquil (what I was looking for!) Breakfast selections in the lobby should include more non-sugary options. Appreciated the coffee-maker, small refrigerator & microwave in the room. Could also make my tea. Parking near room. Had to use stairs to get to 2nd level. Small pool should be open earlier than 9 AM for a quiet, early morning swim. (7 AM would be better.) Liked the gardens although my room was more over the parking areas. Next time ask for a garden view.

They staff was amazing, very attentative. They were able to help me extend my stay seamlessly. It's a great location and there is a great deli next door. The complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning were also wonderful.

We stayed here because it was close to the stanford hospital. Our son had a early procedure scheduled. Creekside inn has a peaceful atmosphere from the size of our room to the backyard garden. We needed that because of how nervous we were for our sons procedure. I recommend this place to anyone who needs a peaceful place to stay.

Buildings encircle a lush landscaped central garden with fountain , tables and chairs. Had to believe you are in the Camino.

Very chill environment, and friendly staff.

Sound proofing needs to be improved. I could hear the TV sound of next door at night. The Neighbour slamming the door worked me up every morning. Please install door dampers. The Wi-Fi was not stable. Sliding door and curtain handle fell off on normal use.

Wonderful and best place for my family. calm and safe , comfortable place. I really recommend to family. Nearly to Stanford University. That was fantastic to visit at Stanford University .

Loved my room was perfect for the two days I needed ! The room was cozy the fridge and coffee in the room was great ! The pool was used by a family that allowed their child to dedicate on the side walk, I will not be using the pool ever again !

We were in town for a Stanford graduation celebration. This was a lovely, convenient spot with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was had a good variety of items (pastries, boiled eggs, yogurt, juices). The deli next door had hot breakfast sandwiches for purchase. Too bad the creek itself is dry, but the landscaping is still lush and green.

Didn't know what to expect when I booked for graduation weekend, but we've been delightfully surprised. Very well run, great customer service, clean room, reliable housekeeping, comfortable room, good coffee in the lobby, nice variety of pastries and other breakfast options in the morning. Very pleasant, good experience.

This hotel is one of the closest hotels to Stanford University. During our stay, I noticed many families attending Stanford summer camps chose this hotel as well. The location is excellent, surrounded by trees and very quiet. Although the rooms are small, they are exceptionally clean—probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed in at a similar price range. Honestly, not much. The rooms are a bit small, but they are very well maintained and extremely clean. For the price and location, it offers great value.

No privacy when it comes to sound. Can hear neighboring rooms cough or sneeze. Can hear their AC units turning on all night, they’re old units so incredibly startling and loud. Refrigerator also super loud. Had to sleep with my ear buds on noise cancellation mode which was uncomfortable and didn’t actually sleep. Im not a light sleeper either, so this was all very disappointing for a place with so much potential.

I have been staying at this hotel several times a year for the last 8 years (for work). I love the staff, the rooms, the landscaping, and the parking. Hotel staff are always accommodating, sometimes upgrading my room, allowing early check-in or late check-out (all depending on availability). As a solo female traveler, safety is #1 and I always feel safe there. It's always peaceful there, and the walls are thick so you don't hear a lot from your neighbors. ChargePoint car chargers are available, but are no longer free. WiFi is spotty depending on your building, but there were signs in my room today that they are upgrading their WiFi system, which is great news! On-site restaurant is Show de Carnes, which I LOVE since our go-to for special occasions is always Brazilian AYCE steak. On-site deli has amazing sandwiches (must try the Veggie sandwich!)

I repeatedly got conflicting answers on whether or not they had a discount for people using Stanford Medical Center. Just like last year, I had to go to Stanford several times this year. I've always stayed at the Creekside Inn for each of my appointments at Stanford. The discounts they offered last year were very helpful considering my high medical bills and having to come from out of state. However, each time I called this year to make a reservation I was told they no longer have a discount for people needing to go to Stanford. I like the hotel and feel safe there, so I stayed there anyway but I booked online instead to help with the cost. When I checked in at the front desk this last time, I was told they DID have a discount for Stanford but it didn't apply to me because I didn't book with them directly. One woman told me the discount started back in January, and then a gentleman told me it started about a month before I checked in. Either way, they wouldn't give me the discount. It was frustrating and much more expensive this year. Thankfully I'm done with Stanford and the need to return to Palo Alto.

Verna and Makayla are awesome! True champions of guest service! The brooms are quiet, clean, comfortable, and modern. Great value as well. Sits on the strip where there are many places to eat within walking distance.

We stayed here while we were in town for a family graduation. My children loved the pool. The room was clean and everyone was really friendly. Sandwiches from Driftwood were perfect for lunch. Would stay again!
