Beliggenheten er helt topp - midt i sentrum. Fint hotell og hyggelig personalet. Stort rom med veldig behagelig seng og fint bad.

Det er et hotell der man må låse seg inn med kode som sendes på forhånd. Ikke alle liker slikt. Ingen permanent resesjon. Dessuten må man gå opp en lang trapp, noe som kanskje burde være informert om i tilfelle handikapp eller store tunge kofferter.

Un accueil chaleureux et une équipe particulièrement sympathique et attentive, qui fait toute la différence. Si le bâtiment est chargé d'histoire, les chambres ont été refaites avec beaucoup de qualité : spacieuses, tout confort, avec un magnifique plafond orné de peintures qui ajoute un vrai cachet (Nana Mouskouri y aurait passé une partie de sa vie !) . L'hôtel bénéficie d'un emplacement idéal, à l'entrée de la vieille ville, et sur place très vivante.

Notre chambre située coté place était assez exposée aux bruits de la place, mais avec des boules quies on a passé tout de même de bonnes nuits.

Ein ganz besonderes Hotel mit Geschichte und einer tollen Lage! Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel in Chania und können es wirklich von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Die Lage ist einfach fantastisch – perfekt, um Chania zu erkunden und die besondere Atmosphäre dieser wunderschönen Stadt zu genießen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den tollen und herzlichen Service. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön geht dabei an Iva von der Rezeption. Sie war ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich, hilfsbereit und immer mit einem Lächeln für uns da. Solch eine nette und aufmerksame Betreuung macht einen Aufenthalt wirklich besonders! Ein weiteres Highlight ist die besondere Geschichte dieses Hauses: Wer noch nicht wusste, dass hier die berühmte griechische Sängerin Nana Mouskouri geboren wurde, sollte diesen Ort unbedingt einmal besuchen. Nana Mouskouri wurde am 13. Oktober 1934 in Chania geboren. Für uns ist das eine ganz besondere Adresse – nicht nur wegen des Hotels selbst, sondern auch wegen dieser einzigartigen Verbindung zur Geschichte und Kultur von Chania. Eine tolle Lage, ein hervorragender Service, eine sehr herzliche Rezeption und dazu ein ganz besonderer geschichtlicher Hintergrund. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder wählen und können es absolut weiterempfehlen! Wer in Chania ist, sollte sich diesen besonderen Ort auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen!

Absolutely the best location- close to everything you need. 5 minutes from the old port! The lady at reception ( I'm sorry that I didn't remember the name ) it's amazing, explaining and helping with everything she can! Really close to Chania bus station, taxi plazza exactly Infront and local bus station 1 minute away. The rooms are perfect and all you need provided! If you look for a place to stay in Chania this is the best one!

Υπήρχε μια δυσκολία στο πάρκινγκ αλλά ήταν λογικό λόγω του χαμού που γίνονταν γενικά στην πόλη κατά την περίοδο του Ιουλίου . Επίσης , δεν υπήρχε ασανσέρ με αποτέλεσμα να αφήνουμε το καρότσι κάτω . Ολα αυτά όμως ήταν απόλυτα διαχειρισιμα και σίγουρα όχι αποτρεπτικά για να ξανά κλείσουμε στο ίδιο ξενοδοχείο .

L emplacement idéale pour visiter la Canée. Le personnel est très sympathique ( petit plus elle parlait français) dommage qu il n y est pas une présence 24/24h. Car les conseils de l hôte sont très précieux mais il faut arriver avant son départ à 14h. Le confort de la literie la propreté des lieux.

Pour la chambre en elle même, Il n y avait pas de fenêtres donnant sur l extérieur et la seule salle de bain de la suite 4 personnes donnait dans l une des deux chambre. Du coup il fallait forcément passer par cette chambre pour y accéder. Heureusement un deuxième WC était dans le couloir de la suite. Dommage qu il n y est pas de parking pour l hôtel, après à moins de 5 min à pied il y a le parking municipal gratuit. L hôtel ne propose pas de petit déjeuner, mais on est au centre avec un salon de thé au pied de l hôtel.

Troszkę głośno, ale to nas nie zaskoczyło, bo celowo wybraliśmy hotel blisko atrakcji turystycznych i restauracji😊

Βρίσκεται ακριβώς πάνω στην Πλατεία 1866, σε μια ιδανική τοποθεσία που συνδυάζει άνεση, ζωντάνια και εύκολη πρόσβαση σε όλα τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος. Τα δωμάτια είναι ολοκαίνουργια, πεντακάθαρα και ξεχωρίζουν για το μοναδικό τους design και την ιδιαίτερη αισθητική τους. Η υπεύθυνη είναι πάντα χαμογελαστή, ευγενική και πρόθυμη να εξυπηρετήσει κάθε ανάγκη των επισκεπτών.

The property itself was beautiful and an amazing location for exploring old town and the harbour! The hotel receptionist was incredible. We arrived with two small children and she was incredibly personable, kind and helpful. Little personal touches such as finding us a place to store our buggy, bringing a huge orange for our son in the morning and helping us problem solve our trip back to the airport made a huge difference to us. I can’t thank her enough.

The old nature of the property meant there was no lift but this didn’t prevent us from enjoying our stay as the receptionist helped with our luggage and children!

Liikenteen ääniin tottumattoman on hyvä tiedostaa, että korvatulpat ovat tarpeen (ne olivat valmiina huoneessa).

Eξαιρετική επιλογή στην καρδιά τη πόλης.Ήσυχο ιδιαίτερα στα πίσω δωμάτια παρά το γεγονός οτι το νεοκλασσικό κτήριο βρίσκεται στην κεντρική πλατεία των Χανίων.Value for money.

Το μόνο που χρειάζεται επιπλέον το δωμάτιο είναι ενα φούρνο μικροκυμάτων για τις βασικές ανάγκες.

The place is a small gem in Chania. Very near to the centre. The rooms are great!

Ci siamo trovate molto bene, letti molto comodi e location centrale.

La doccia, aveva solo mezze ante, e ci sono scale da fare obbligatoriamente.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral und man kann alle Restaurants im Zentrum zu Fuß erreichen. Auch der Taxistand ist direkt vor dem Hotel.

Εξαιρετική υποδοχή. Ένα μπουκάλι κρασί μας περίμενε και μας αναβάθμισαν σε σουίτα. Ευγενεστατοι και παρά πολυ εξυπηρετικοι. Επιπλέον bonus ότι εκεί εκεί γεννήθηκε η Nana Moshcouri. Σίγουρα θα ξαναβρεθούμε.

An amazing hotel that has been beautifully refurbished. Everything was very clean. Location is fantastic and literatly just across the street from the Old city and two blocks from the bus station. Staff were great.

We had the two bedroom unit and the second bedroom was a bit small. I did not read the descriptions very well as the only shower was located in the master bedroom.

Μείναμε στο Plaza 1866 Superior City Rooms και μείναμε πραγματικά εντυπωσιασμένοι. Το κατάλυμα είναι εξαιρετικά προσεγμένο, με πολύ καθαρά δωμάτια και σύγχρονη αισθητική. Η τοποθεσία του είναι ιδανική — στο κέντρο των Χανίων, με πολύ εύκολη πρόσβαση στα πάντα: παλιά πόλη, λιμάνι, εστιατόρια, καφέ και σημεία ενδιαφέροντος. Το δωμάτιο ήταν άνετο, με ποιοτικό στρώμα και πολύ καλό επίπεδο ησυχίας παρά το κεντρικό σημείο. Η καθαριότητα ήταν άψογη και όλα ήταν σε άριστη κατάσταση — από τα είδη υγιεινής μέχρι τις ηλεκτρικές συσκευές. Το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενικό, εξυπηρετικό και πρόθυμο να βοηθήσει σε ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε, δίνοντας πληροφορίες για την περιοχή και προτάσεις για φαγητό και δραστηριότητες. Συνολικά, είναι μια επιλογή που αξίζει πραγματικά, είτε κάποιος ταξιδεύει για δουλειά είτε για αναψυχή. Πολύ καλή σχέση ποιότητας – τιμής. Σίγουρα θα το επιλέξουμε ξανά!

Το δωμάτιο ήταν φωτεινό, μοντέρνο και πολύ καθαρό, με όλα όσα χρειάζονται για μια άνετη διαμονή. Η τοποθεσία είναι πραγματικά προνομιακή — στο κέντρο των Χανίων, σε απόσταση που πας παντού με τα πόδια. Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ φιλικό και επαγγελματικό, και μας έκανε να νιώσουμε άνετα από την πρώτη στιγμή. Η ποιότητα της διαμονής σε σχέση με την τιμή είναι εξαιρετική. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα σε όσους θέλουν μια σύγχρονη, άνετη και καλαισθητη βάση για να γνωρίσουν τα Χανιά. Θα ξαναέρθουμε χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη!

Wow! This little place exeeded all expectations. I booked it for just 1 night because the great location and good price, but when I arrived it was so beautifully renovated & decorated, so stylish, high quality furnishings, spotlessly clean... was really impressed. I stayed at another hotel in Crete that was 3x this price, and that other room wasn't even CLOSE to as nice as the one at 1866. Very convenient location 3 min walk from the bus station and 1 minute walk from the start of Old Town.

The stairs… two steep flights of stairs with luggage is absurd. I understand they can’t have elevators, but I’d recommend they have someone on hand to help out (especially for travelers with health conditions or with children).

Everything!! From the minute you walk in the door it is a fabulous place. The check-in is easy and clear, the room is very well equipped and super clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is the very best accommodation in Chania. Close to the bus station, restaurants, shops and everything else. I’ve stayed here before and will come back again!!! Excellent value for money.

Hay que subir escaleras empinadas sin ascensor, y con maletas se hace complicado. Si vas con tu vehículo, el aparcamiento por la zona resulta muy complicado.

The hotel has a very central location, within easy walking distance to most of Chania’s attractions. The building itself is historic, which has charm, but it’s important to note that there is no elevator and the staircase is steep (two flights up). The highlight of our stay was the cleaning service—our room was spotless and refreshed daily, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end. The reception/host experience was the worst I’ve ever had in my travels. Due to a miscommunication through Expedia (some hotel replies never appeared in my Expedia inbox, which I can prove), the car transfer we had requested did not happen. Despite me messaging the hotel the day before and the day of arrival, I never received the necessary info. We ended up taking a taxi instead. Upon arrival, the reception person (I believe her name was Eva, based on other reviews) stormed out of the hotel and began arguing with us on the street, demanding payment for the transfer we never received. She then continued to argue with us up two flights of stairs while delaying our check-in, despite me showing her the missing messages in my Expedia inbox. She repeatedly insisted it wasn’t her fault, that she wouldn’t “lose money,” and demanded we pay anyway. After a long flight, this aggressive and hostile treatment was beyond unacceptable—I was driven to tears. My husband eventually gave her money just so we could check into our room.

Erg schoon en goede locatie. Kamer was compact maar met een heel goed bed plus douche. Wij hadden geen ramen en hadden een kamer op de eerste verdieping maar verbleven hier op doorreis en was prima.

Voor ons geen probleem maar je moet een steile trap op en er is geen lift. Ook niet naar de 2de verdieping.

Die Unterkunft ist relativ einfach aber trotzdem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Standort ist zentral und praktisch, aber im Zimmer ist es nicht zu laut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Da die Unterkunft nahezu optimal ist, möchte man eigentlich sonst nichts sagen, aber der Wasserkocher sollte eine bessere Qualität haben.

Σουπερ βολικη και ωραια τοποθεσια, ανετα κρεβατια και μαξιλαρια, ωραιο περιβαλλον και διακοσμηση, αρκετα ευρυχωρο, αρκετες παροχες. Γενικα θα το προτεινα αν εξαιρεσεις το θεμα με τη διαρρυθμιση των χωρων, η οποια μπορει να κανει την διαμονη αβολη.

Το μεγαλυτερο προβλημα ηταν οτι ενω ειχε δευτερο wc, το μεγαλο μπανιο με το ντους βρισκοταν μεσα στο ενα απο τα δυο υπνοδωματια οποτε δεν υπηρχε ανεξαρτησια ως προς αυτο. Απο καθαριοτητα ηταν μια χαρα αλλα οχι τελειο... Επισης δεν εχει ασανσερ... πολυ σκαλι! Το νετφλιξ στην μια απο τις δυο τηλεορασεις δεν ηταν συνδεδεμενο, μονο αν εμπαινα με δικο μου λογαριασμο.

Good location, very near the center and main streets. Clean, modern and confortable rooms.

Parking is missing. The streets nearby are also pretty busy. It takes time to find a parking spot. Some of the days we parked 10 minutes away from the hotel.

The hotel is very clean, you can feel the cleanliness from the entrance. The room was very nice and a good size, with a view of the square exactly at the port entrance. The bathroom was also nice and had all the facilities, including a free bottle of wine! The reception lady was exceptionally nice and also remembered my family's birthday!
