Carragh House

Great location friendly staff

I like everything.

Des and Oonagh were wonderful hosts. Friendly and helpful as fonts of activity recommendations. The room we had was extremely comfortable and the breakfast set us up to tackle very active days.

Secure parking for motorcycle

Comfortable, quiet and close to the town centre but also on the right side of town for getting to the National Museum of Ireland at Turlough Park and surrounding area. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helped me to park and to get my luggage to my room. Being able to check in a bit later in the evening really helped and breakfast was cooked to order and good value for money. I would recommend Carragh House!

I had to turn the radiator down as the heating didn't need to be on in mid September!

The owners really made you feel welcome, lovely hosts and incredibly friendly. The room was a good size and great value, breakfast was delicious and also great value. I'd absolutely stay again, thank you!

The hosts are incredible, truly warm and welcoming. They treat their visitors like old friends sharing all sorts of information about Co. Mayo and local happenings. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable. The hosts will provide a very good breakfast either in your reservation or with a 10€ supplement. It's very much worth it.

The rooms are very simple. That could be a pro or a con. Depending on the weather I could imagine that the rooms might get a bit hot.

The room was nice and clean. The owner was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Recommend

Very friendly hosts and a good breakfast

Just spent two nights in this wee jem of a place. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable had two really good nights sleep. The breakfast was great and all the produce where top quality. A real home from home with two very friendly and helpful hosts.

Very friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Room was comfortable with everything needed for an overnight stay. Owner was able to provide recommendations for food which proved excellent. Location was great for access to restaurants & pubs. Breakfast was great.

Plug points and bedside table on both sides next to bed would be handy.

We would definitely return to Carragh House. It was in an excellent location very close to everything. Our hosts were extremely friendly.

Take your time in Carragh House 🙃 Best spot to stop during your travel around Ireland !

The owners were friendly, and great to recommend local restaurants/amenities. The breakfast was fabulous and set us up for the day. It was a lovely short break experience.

Very clean, minimalist but everything absolutely fine.

Room was basic but that said overall I could very much recommend it.

Miły właściciel, czysto, dobre śniadanie

Well located, quiet, clean, warm welcome and good breakfast, easy parking

It was all good

The guest house was so quite and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Oona and Des were such welcoming hosts. When we arrived they gave us recommendations on where to eat. The guest house was in the perfect spot as we were on foot to see a show in the TF Royal theater. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location,host,breakfast and room.

The owners were fantastic and very helpfull. Highly recommended for bikers. The owner is one as well.

Hosts were so welcoming and most helpful.. Amazing breakfast.

Breakfast superb -staff extremely friendly and welcoming-would highly recommend Carragh House to everybody.

Nothing -it was top class in every respect.

Nous avons apprécié la qualité de l'accueil et le pertinence des conseils prodigués.

Nous aurons aimé avoir une serviette de toilette par personne.

Very confortable stay.great location in the town.Des is an absolute gentleman.

Etablissement très bien situé, à quelques minutes à pied du centre-ville. J'ai particulièrement apprécié l'accueil, la gentillesse des propriétaires et le confort de la chambre. Je recommande vivement cet établissement.

Excellent Location, Very clean and super friendly helpful owners Highly recommended!

I was there for only 1 night for an event that was a bit of a drive away. The staff were so kind and hospitable, even helping me organize a taxi to pick me up. When they didn't arrive in time (due to no fault of the staff as all, and completely on the taxi company), they went out of their way to drive me to ensure I made it in time for my event. I was immensely grateful to them, and had such a pleasant talk as well. In addition, the room was very clean, with a nice private bathroom and the bed was super comfy ( which says a lot because I often have trouble sleeping in beds other than my own). I recommend this place a lot!

Nothing really. I was there for such a short time. The price was higher than I would have liked for a one-night stay, but I also went to find a place at the very last minute. This was the cheapest location out of all that was available, and it was very nice, so I can't complain.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was very cozy, and the location was quiet. The staff were friendly and the check-in process was easy. Good value for money for a one-night stay in Castlebar.

Great cosy stay in Castlebar! Very close to the centre and parking available so ticked all the boxes. The room was clean and warm with great washing facilities. Very good price for the night I thought and hopefully be back sometime soon
