Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Es stand ein öffentlicher Parkplatz zur Verfügung, eine Parkticket hat man vom Hotel erhalten. Die Zimmer sind bedingt geräumig, aber ok. Steckdosen in Bettnähe sind vorhanden. Ans Hotel angeschlossen ist ein Außenbereich an der wenig belebten Straße, wo man sich abends noch mit einem Getränk aus dem Hotel-Pub hinsetzen kann. Der Biergarten war leider in unserem Zeitraum nicht geöffnet. Das Essen im Hotel-Pub ist lecker, allerdings sollte man die Öffnungszeiten im Blick behalten. Zum Frühstück kann man aus dem Menü wählen und mit dem kontinentalen Frühstück kombinieren, allerdings sollte man kein Full Irish Breakfast erwarten.
Die Zimmer im Obergeschoss sind nur über Treppen erreichbar, Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität könnten hier Probleme haben. Das Badezimmer verfügt außer der Fensterbank leider nicht über viele Ablageflächen, sodass die Kulturbeutel irgendwo (nötigenfalls auf der Erde) platziert werden müssen. Duschen in einer Badewanne mit Duschvorhang ist immer wieder eine Herausforderung, aber sollte nicht überbewertet werden. Eine Klimaanlage oder mindestens ein Ventilator wären bei warmen Temperaturen schön gewesen. Die Toilettenspülung versagt manchmal, sodass Übriggebliebenes mehrmals weggespült werden muss.

The bed was not that comfortable and there was no power in the shower. I would only use again if I had no other option. Some renovations would help a lot, so it has possibilities in the future.

"s nachts om 24:00 de tv nog ff voor een uurtje aanzetten en dan 's ochtends 6:30 ritmische sportoefeningen waarbij hoofdeind tegen de tussenmuur schuurde...Toen maar ff de tv aangezet om bepaald hoogtepunt niet mee te krijgen.

We schrokken even dat er op zaterdag een disco tot 02.30 uur in de bar was, maar de oordoppen die ze verstrekten om de herrie te verminderen hebben we niet nodig gehad

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Mary and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were a group of 7 retracting our grandmothers roots and we had a name the name of Pheasant Hill but that was about all. Mary helped us get to our destination. The hotel was as I had hoped with small town charm and convenient to everything around us.

Not child friendlyspecially on weekend. A night club below is so loudy like the party is going in same room. 3 AM at while leaving the club people shouting loudly, you can hear them scream like they are just by your side, screaming. Rooms are not soundproof at all

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026I was met at the reception by a very friendly and professional receptionist. The Ivy Tower has an old worldly Irish vibe but yet has modern comforts. I appreciated the bathtub. I wish more hotels had bath tubs. I was going for dental treatment and I appreciated the long bubbly soaks.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026We were very happy with everything until the following morning when everyone kept slamming their bedroom doors from around 7.30 am. Was so looking forward to a nice lie in on a Sunday morning.... Other than that is was perfect for our stay.
A bit too quick coming out with food, we hadn't finished our starters when they came out with our main course, but that said food was delicious.

It was very outdated. There was no insulation which meant we had to listen to an absolutely vial man roaring and shouting at his partner all night. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but possibly insulation for noise might be something the hotel would look into. It's very old fashioned and could do with being dragged into the times.

It is in a great location, very clean and cozy, our bed was so comfortable, a fabulous bathroom with a spacious shower. You get all the extras you need; toiletries, towels, hairdryer, etc. The staff are all brilliant. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. We experienced a fun and easy-going atmosphere here. Everyone is up for a great chat. We made some friends and memories for life. We didnt eat here but the food looked and smelled delicious, definitely trying on our next visit. And great value! We are so pleased we stayed here. Highly recommend to everyone! Thank you Ivy Tower Hotel!
