location and ambience. best for staycation

Underrated hotel without taal view but super worth to stay, staffs are welcoming, rooms are big, clean and spacious, fast wifi connection, delicious breakfast buffet, affordable, delicious and underrated in-house restos, walking distance to church, ayala malls serin and near other attractions and famous restos.
Breakfast was ok and location was near to other tourist spots.
The room was missing basic necessities like towels and an electric kettle, requiring multiple calls to front desk. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Customer service needs serious improvement: the staff lacked basic courtesy (never greeting guests first), and the guard offered zero assistance with opening doors while we were carrying a baby. On top of that, charging Php 387 for a broken coffee cup felt unreasonable and overly petty for standard hotel operating costs. If it werent for the location and breakfast, I would not recommend staying here.
Location and pool
The earthy smell upon entering the room
The location seems good but reality it’s s very small hotel, beds are ok
The breakfast was awful my mom celebrated her 75th birthday as my treat and all she experienced was bad, the shower has no hot water and drainage was blocked
Pool experience was nice, my kid enjoyed so much.
Place is so good location for visit taal volcano and hotel did help to find day tour with reasonable prices. Hotels is across Bag of beans and Starbucks cafe both are over looking Taal volcano. Stunning. Swimming pool is nice a bit to cold but understandable as it's not much sun when we are there. I like the family room with 3 big Queen beds.
Need to be improve, we have family room 118 with 3 big Queen beds but only 1 night stand, no hair dryer. And breakfast is too simple, food is cold and very early 6am-9am for the price we paid it's a bit expensive to missed out hair dryer and more night stand. No bottle water supply but we can ask for a jug. Swimming pool close to quickly.
The hotel is close to Tagaytay’s main attractions yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful, with rooms just steps away from the pool and jacuzzi. The included breakfast buffet was generous and satisfying, offering a mix of Filipino favorites alongside a few continental choices.
The sliding doors for both the closet and bathroom tended to bind and get stuck, which could be difficult for elderly guests to open or close. I reported the issue to the front desk, but unfortunately no one came to address it during my stay.
The room has a beautiful modern rustic vibe — spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. I love the wall décor and the comfortable bed, and the private balcony is such a nice touch. The room also has easy access to the pool area, which makes the stay even more relaxing. The free breakfast is pretty decent too, especially since it’s a buffet.
The bathroom is quite spacious, but I did notice a small water leakage in the toilet area. It didn’t affect the stay too much, but it’s something worth checking. I also observed that the room rate was higher at the time I booked compared to the current and upcoming prices. Other than that, everything was perfect and I really enjoyed the stay.
Rooms and pool are clean. Rooms are spacious.
None so far.
Staff were accommodating and very friendly. Kids love the pool
Stay away from this hotel. I was on vacation from Norway with my niece and her boyfriend from the U.S. We experienced a power outage at home, so we decided to stay at a budget hotel and chosed this place. When we used the bathroom, we noticed there were only small bar soaps, shampoo, and conditioner provided. Since it was a budget hotel, we thought that was normal, so we even bought our own hand soap at the mall. However, during checkout, we were suddenly accused of stealing a soap dispenser from the room. We explained that we had never seen any soap dispenser at all, but they refused to believe us. They charged us 500 pesos for it. What would we even do with a soap dispenser? We were in a hurry and had important things to attend to, so we didn’t want to waste more time arguing after already explaining our side. In the end, we just paid. It’s not about the money — it’s about being falsely accused of stealing. It was a very unpleasant experience. I don’t know if this is some kind of scam or modus, but it definitely left a bad impression.

Location
What a beautiful hotel! Very clean, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good. If I was to ever come back to tagatay I would stay here.
The shower took a little while to drain and would flood a little. But that was the only issue which I’m sure can be fixed.
A great family-friendly place to stay. The staff are very accommodating. We especially appreciate the service of John Ray, who assisted us at night.
hotel designs/interior
pool is dirty. linens are itchy guards are not judgmental staff insist wrong understanding about elevated concern
The place was a nice change to the usual hotels with multiple floors, it was really good for vacation stays
Some stuff were old or broken, some of the hangers were broken, the bedsheet had small tears, and the shower heater took awhile to get hot

Location and new facilities
We were charged small amount for a missing spoon which was not there since we arrived. Slippers also not available in one room. Perhaps hotel can check prior to guest’s arrival
Hotel was conveniently located near restaurants and Ayala Serin. The beds were very comfortable. Staff were very accommodating to our requests and questions. We love the Chinese restaurant at the hotel. Also love the discounts given for the spa and restaurant.
Some of my friends complained that the water in bathroom was not hot enough. Also, during our spa session, people were making use of the play area, which was right next to the spa room. While there was music playing to help us relax, we could still people talking and screaming outside.
Spacious and beautiful!
Some things are not working
Staff are very nice, awesome location
The towels are dirty and overused.’
Water was not hot and no wifi in pur room
The jacuzzi was freezing cold, the wii didnt work, the safe and phone were broken and there was a smell of sewage. The reception team were friendly but stated maintenance issues which were not dealt with. They stated no manager was available to speak to every day over my 4 day stay. The last night they upgraded my room but they failed to deal with the various issues. Not recommended 😕
The hotel is conveniently located near malls, restaurants, and coffee shops, making it easy to access most places in the city. However, traffic in Tagaytay during rush hours can make traveling around the area time-consuming. The breakfast buffet is good, but having more food options would greatly improve the experience, especially for foreign guests. The staff are accommodating and very professional, and the hotel is clean with a pleasant ambiance.
We experienced a few issues during our stay. Our room was not fully equipped upon check-in, and we had to repeatedly request basic items such as toilet tissue, a bathroom rug, a hair dryer, and ironing facilities. The internet connection was extremely poor—practically unusable. I also requested a bathroom rug to prevent slipping since I was traveling with a toddler, but was given a very small piece, which was not sufficient. The hotel should ensure that rooms are properly checked and complete before guests arrive, as having to call or go out repeatedly to request necessities is inconvenient and time-consuming. They also need to work on their internet connection. It is advertised on their page as “super fast internet,” which was misleading, as the connection during our stay was extremely poor and unusable. To avoid misunderstandings, this claim should be removed or updated until the issue is properly fixed.

The staff were very accommodating, helpful & kind!
It smells clogged drainage in the bathroom and when you pass by the corridor to second floor! There is No elevators!
On site cafe restaurant and on site Chinese restaurant we excellent and staff very helpful
Shower cold
Un agréable séjour
The staffs are great and very accommodating. The room is great but there was noise in the middle of the night since it was beside the kitchen. The pool is good as well and the jacuzzi even tho it’s not that warm.
Our room is beside the kitchen so there’s noises in the middle of the night and we woke up sometimes.
Staff were excellent, very helpful. We were a group of 4 friends celebrating a 60th Birthdays. We had a few requirements for our pajama party that the staff quickly accomodated.
Nothing to complain about
Large and clean room
No wifi connection
Cleanliness
To be honest, nothing.
I like the scenery and cleanliness and pool view
The food breakfast menu were limited not warm and to enclosed with no view better if pool view or maximize the view of taal
The location was fantastic, close to the great places to eat like Leslie's if you want incredible Bulalo and the best buffet breakfast experience at Balay Dako. The staff were super friendly and the room was all we needed, comfortable, good air con and a great shower.
The gym was poorly kept, very dirty that I had to sanitise and clean myself. The clean wipes ended up brown when I wiped down the pull down bar, bench and dumb bells. It also didn't help that the room has no air con so I could only exercise for 20mins as it was intensely hot and difficult to work out in. This was the only let down of the entire experience and could be quickly remedied.
Complete package, with comfortable bed, resturant and coffee shop..
Nothing
one those quaint hotels in tagaytay city that has rustic interiors and old charm. it has a swimming pool in the middle surrounded by all the rooms. our function hall is on the 3rd floor which must be climbed on narrow wooden stairs. the restroom is so cramped that we need to queue during our break time. toilet papers are not being promptly replenished our room smells funny. it was obviously not been occupied for so long that a mildew can be seen growing in the bathroom. for all its worth, this hotel serves good food and the staff exudes a friendly vibe.
Good room size and staff were very accommodating and helpful.

My second stay here; love that it’s family-friendly. The pool is great for the li’l ones.
The pet fee : ) but it’s my choice anyway. I think 3k pesos is a lot.
Bathroom stinks, no exhaust fan.
Nice ambiance
We liked the location because it was close to everything, including malls, restaurants, and cafés. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds.
The parking is limited and located on the hotel's left side, with open space. The internet was quite terrible, and we were always using our mobile data, the TV internet connection was also slow. No hair dryer was given.

Bathroom, bad smell and clogging

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
8.3/10Rooms and pool were reported as clean in several reviews, though some guests noted an earthy/odd smell on entry, a small water leakage in the toilet area, and a blocked drainage in one stay — overall generally clean but with isolated issues to address.
Service
7.6/10Mixed service: multiple reports of poor front-desk responsiveness, lack of basic courtesy, an unhelpful guard and unresolved maintenance reports; balanced by other guests mentioning accommodating and friendly staff and help arranging tours.
Location
9/10Consistently praised — excellent position near Tagaytay attractions, close to cafes and Taal views; many guests cited location as a primary reason to stay.
Room Quality
8/10Rooms described as spacious, modern-rustic and comfortable with good bed configurations; drawbacks include missing basic items (towels, kettle, hair dryer), limited nightstands in some family rooms, hard pillows, binding sliding doors and occasional leaks.
Amenities
8.6/10Swimming pool and jacuzzi are highlights (kids loved the pool); however the pool could be cold, sometimes closes early, and rooms lack small conveniences (no kettle/hair dryer/bottled water unless requested).
Value for Money
7.4/10Perceived as a bit expensive by some guests given missing in-room amenities, inconsistent breakfast quality and an instance of being charged for a broken cup — value seen as fair to slightly below expectations for the price paid.
Food and Beverage
8.3/10Breakfast impressions vary: several guests found the buffet generous and satisfying, while others reported cold or simplistic breakfast and an early service window; overall food is adequate but inconsistent.
Overall Experience
10/10Many guests reported great memories, relaxing stays, enjoyable pool time and convenient location; despite some service and amenity inconsistencies, the overall sentiment skewed strongly positive for many visitors.
