Het personeel is TOP, zeer vriendelijk, zeer correct en een goed gevoel voor humor. Het hotel mag heel blij zijn met zulk personeel.

Het bed was een ramp, ik ben 1.85m en weeg 110kg en wij moesten met 2 personen in een bed slapen wat wij een twijfelaar noemen 1.40m breed is gewoon on aanvaardbaar voor 2 personen. De TV werkte amper en sprong in het midden van de nacht plots aan. zeer spookie en vreemd. Ik denk dat een elektriciteitskeuring hier op zijn plaats is voor de veiligheid van klanten.

The spa facilities were brilliant, best hotel gym I’ve been to in a long time. The room was big, clean and comfortable, quiet and had decent tea and coffee. Great breakfast.

The reception staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The bar staff on the other hand looked like they’d rather be anywhere other than serving at the bar. There was a decided lack of customer service.

The staff were very good and all very helpful. Dinner was very tasty with a good choice. The spa was very good with lots of treatment rooms and choices for treatments. As a lone traveller I felt completely at ease.

We were put in the Lodge. When booking room it did not mention a lodge which was a building away from main hotel. Very small room for paying £224 for 1 night and had to open the window to let air in. There was a function going on beside it that was very loud with people congregating outside. If we had known we were going to be put there we would have booked somewhere else. This Lodge accommodation should be highlighted when booking it.

We were put on one of yhe lodge rooms out the back which was a bit tired. You look out the window into a big bush. The room was by the function room which meant you had all the noise until midnight on the Saturday night. Initial reception lady on the Friday was blunt and very matter of fact. No pleasantries etc

My bedroom faced to the rear in the old part of the hotel, backing on to the chemical works in the distance and some noise from the flare woke me through the night.

Le service : la chambre n’avait même pas été nettoyées après notre retour le 2eme jour car « il fallait signaler que nous voulions qu’elle soit nettoyée ». Dans un hôtel 4*, c’est très limite. Les chambres devraient être refaite par défaut 4. Des options comme des glaçons ou du lait pouvaient être délivrées en appelant le room service mais il n’y avait aucun téléphone dans la chambre qui permettait d’appeler l’accueil 5. La vue des chambre sur un entre deux très glauque

An absolutely overpriced and underwhelming hotel to stay at. Hotel is as massively overpriced and I mean massively! The room was like your mums sitting room circa 1990s. Furniture tatty and old fashioned , carpets worn thin. Sockets behind bedside table not finished just gaping holes. Not enough sockets in the room for 3 people to each charge a phone as the majority of sockets have been switched to 2 pin European ones. All to penny pinch so you don’t use the electricity! Probably why they have taken out ththe fridges in the rooms to! Not enough complimentary items for 3 people just 2 of everything left in room. The restaurant is trying to be an up market affair but it’s really really not menu was quite poor and very uninteresting for vegetarians. Had to wait ages to order a drink as only one of the four staff were able to take our alcoholic beverage order as th test were under 18 - on a Friday night in a bar?? The breakfast staff weren’t much better at one point I had coffee poured into my lap then on my phone/ next morning the same lady took our order before a huge group of Spanish tourists and we sat and watched them all eat their breakfasts delish being served after us. Anyway I could go on but I will simply say save your money and book a travel lodge or premier inn. Hotel needs to have a major refurb or sort your price structuring out to reflect the type of hotel you actually are not the hotel you wish your were. In essence fur coat and no knickers. The receptionist was nice so I will say that as a positive ( young lady with fabulous glasses)

As a vital spa member 2 weeks ago after a swim I wanted to make an appointment for a treatment, I had had a bad experience in the spa in April and it had taken until then to get my courage back, but as there was no one at the health club reception went to the main reception asked the receptionist if there was someone available to make my appointment but after she searched for him he was no where to be seen or found, she took my details and promised me someone would call me back that was 2 weeks ago and when I tried to post a comment on the Facebook page it wasn't posted or replied to. They are quick at taking your monthly membership but customer service is not their first thought! Yes I could have chased it up but if someone promises a fallback then you would expect it. Went elsewhere for the treatment.

We purchased vouchers at Xmas to come to a McDonald hotel for a weekend and decided on here as it was 1/2 way beteeem my friend and I. We booked the spa package with a dinner bed and breakfast stay on a Sunday night The staff were super friendly. All 3 ladies we encountered were polite, chatty and well presented. The spa itself isn’t what I’d think o of for a spa day type of thing ( no jacuzzi ) the area with sauna and steen too Was off to the side and was small and the steam room was out of action The treatment was worth the money, Claudia was amazing 10-10 to her. The room was had was nice. Big with a searing / get ready area and big comfy bed . The window did open which was good as it’s been a hot summer. Our shower in our room was too hot!! The cold side didn’t work! Although house keeping came and “turned the knob” it was no different from. The day before. Just the temp of yr hot was less as more folk were having showers at the time of day. In our package the dinner allowance is £30 pp if you order right you could have 2 courses for this amount. Or 1 if you go for a steak. The breakfast was spars when we arrived at 9 there was next to nothing available. I was unaware I could get toast to my table. We were informed that continental was available but hot needed to be ordered…. Slightly wrong as we saw a full bank of trivets of hot food! I wish this had been better. For the price point it’s a shame as it has potential and with it being 1/2 between my friend and I would have been a good meeting point. Sadly I’m not sure I’ll be back

The staff and the pool area

Location was good, easy to find. Good break from all the travelling, lots of amenities nearby. Food was exceptional! The wine was really good, especially the Malbec :D Staff were great and really friendly.

The bedroom and bathroom were looking tired. The shower didn't work at all. I am sure the staff do their best to keep it clean, but it was just tatty in a lot of places in the room and it smelt a little bit of stale vomit next to the bed and we could also smell stale tobacco in the bed. I have ADHD and am hyper-aware of smells and once I smell something odd, I get fixated on it and so it did spoil the stay for me. We wouldn't have minded but we paid an extra £10 for an 'upgrade', made us wonder how bad the room would have been if we hadn't! We were too tired to get up and complain and move rooms, but if we'd been staying for more than one night we definitely would have and should have requested some sort of refund. Someone in a Tesla robbed me of the last disabled bay (I have mobility issues too) so they could go into the gym, looked me straight in the eye as I was attempting to pull in and just drove into the space. No reflection on the staff though, just a typical Tesla w@nker as there was plenty of other able-spaces nearby.

Booked a deluxe room for an overnight stay. Whilst the room size was good the quality was not deluxe. Bathroom and furniture were dated. Found used nail file down side of cushion on chair. Food was really good and service was great. The table we were given in the restaurant for dinner was not ideal as it was on the main thoroughfare to kitchen resulting in chairs being knocked as staff passed by serving others. Overall not value for money and feel it was overpriced Not matching my expectation

The room was spacious, bright and clean and was comfortable and quiet. The food was very good quality and it was good to have an area that we could keep the dog with us. The staff were very pleasant if not particularly engaging.

The lift was important to us as my wife has mobility issues - it was rickety and seemed to have a mind of its own snapping shut quickly and not giving due time to enter / exit. We didn't manage to get a disabled space on our arrival which made unloading / loading the car more of a task and there was no offer of help from the staff.

Rooms were clean and fresh, staff were so kind and helpful when needed. Stayed for 40th birthday and had small cakes and chocolates in the room for arrival was a nice touch. Spa was brilliant, great treatments.!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. A great bonus is the spa area, including the swimming pool and saunas, which is included in the room price and is perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection of fresh and delicious food. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, and we would happily stay here again.

For the rate charge is was stunningly average!! Reception was great, warm welcome etc. The main corridors and our room and bathroom were very very tired. Carpet worn, decor and tech were old. Basin was cracked and so were some tiles in the shower over the bath. And the bathroom doorknob came off. Lovely view from our bedroom though. Breakfast was poor. Very limited continental choice. Coffee was the worst I think I have tasted in a hotel anywhere. The staff did however give me a machine coffee when I pointed out how bad the coffee was. The cooked breakfast was “minute!” 1 small fairly tasteless sausage, I equally poor piece of bacon and 1 mushroom!!! Whilst the staff were polite they seemed quite poorly trained.

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, spacious rooms which were very clean. Food in restaurant was excellent.

No form of climate control in the rooms, it was uncomfortably hot. No plug sockets anywhere near the bed which in this day and age is not ideal. Not specifically this hotel but a bugbear of mine, why can't hotels put a mini fridge in all rooms, especially given the temperature and lack of climate control.

Spa day booked , full body massage from Li this was amazing, as someone that gets regular massages this was one of the best I’ve had. Really listened to my needs and body! Feel like a new woman! Highly recommend! 10/10

Stayed for three nights and paid £728 for bed and breakfast and so not a cheap few days away. We had booked a deluxe double room which was very clean and comfortable, but with no phone. To contact reception you had to use your mobile phone. We did but got no answer, and in fact the number to call on the card in our room differed from the number given on the welcome note we were handed when we arrived at the hotel. I would suggest that having a 24 hour reception you cannot contact is of little use to staying guests. There was also a sign in the room to call Room Service for some fresh milk which again you could not do as there was no phone, and having got no answer when we previously rang we ended up going down to the bar area to collect our milk (on three occasions). Surprisingly for this standard of hotel there is no fridge in the room and therefore the milk did of course go off reasonably quickly. We couldn't get the room safe to work, nor the television. We had to ask on three separate occasions for the television to be fixed before someone did visit the room and couldn't herself get the television to work. It was then changed for another television, and we at last had a working television on our last full day at staying at the hotel. Surprisingly for this standard of hotel, rooms only received a housekeeping service if requested before 11 am each day. I'm sorry, but for £728 I expect my room to be cleaned, towels to be changed at least once, and tea and coffee supplies to be replaced (instead of having to visit reception daily and ask for replacements). The shower above the bath was dangerous in that it was easy to slip. Thank good ness there was a handle to hold onto as you entered and got out of the bath! It would be far better to take away the bath and replace it with a walk in shower. The continental breakfast was disappointing. One jam was available (strawberry), and also honey and one marmalade. The fresh fruit salad comprised mainly of melon with a few grapes and other tinned fruit, and there was not a great selection of cereals. Whilst there was some cheese and ham these were not replenished, and so were not always available. We have had much better offerings when staying at other hotels. The cooked breakfast comprised small but adequate servings, and we found cooked breakfasts to be of a good standard, and so no complaints there. Sandwich lunches were good and we dined at the hotel on one evening and again enjoyed our meal. Having said all of the above, I have given this a very good rating for one reason alone, namely the staff. They were a delight! Very friendly and obliging, and doing their best to ensure that guests had an enjoyable stay. I cannot praise them enough, and I only hope that management appreciate them and pay them accordingly. A special thank you to the young man in a suit in the restaurant who was always friendly, professional and obliging. Would we stay again: yes, but we would hope that issues that could be easily resolved have been attended to.

My experience definitely seemed to coincide with other, recent reviews. The hotel is in a nice green setting, and the staff were all consistently very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite spacious and the gym/spa facilities are modern and in good condition.

There are three main things that let the hotel down: - Firstly the decor in the rooms is quite tired and shabby; rips in the carpet, cup stains on the furniture and a very soft/lumpy bed. - Secondly, some of the basics were missing; even budget hotels manage to provide a hairdryer, tea & coffee in every room but there were none at all in mine. - Thirdly, the oddly high charges for food and drink. Similar to other reviews, the breakfast was astoundingly small for such a high extra charge and was certainly nothing special. Addressing these rather simple things could turn it back into a decent hotel that matches with the marketing promise, and its rather high room rates.

Rating: 2/5 stars I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the £100 per night room rate. Upon entering my room, it was immediately apparent that the accommodation was significantly dated. The carpet was in a poor state of repair, featuring three distinct, threadbare patches where there was no carpet left at all. Additionally, the television was extremely outdated—appearing to be around 20 years old—and was completely incompatible with modern devices like my media player. When I raised this with reception, a staff member kindly attended to the room, but I was informed that all rooms in the hotel are equipped with this same outdated equipment. For the price paid, I found the lack of basic maintenance and the poor quality of the amenities to be unacceptable. I expected a clean, well-maintained room with reliable, modern facilities. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and prioritizes some necessary updates to the rooms and equipment.

Had a fantastic massage and facial as part of our spa day at Inchyra. Olivia was very helpful and the whole experience was very relaxing. One of the best massages I have had.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Early check-in arranged due to attending a wedding at the hotel and a late checkout. Rooms clean and comfortable. Venue for wedding was also very good and staff and food were amazing.

Only thing I would say is the venue would have benefit air conditioning as it was exceptionally warm. There is an outside seating area and we were lucky the rain stayed off and could get outside to cool down.

The building is very nice. Spa facilities are good too.

Our bath wasn't very clean. Pink scum around the edges and the shower hose was black. Food was nice but not for the price we paid.

Lock on another bedroom took 4/5 time to open door. I was very disappointed with all 3 rooms and angry at the price I had to pay.

We attended a family wedding. The hotel was a fabulous venue. Staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout. Rooms are clean and comfortable on this occasion we didn't use the Spa or main restaurant but we will definitely be back. Would highly recommend 👌

The view from the rooms is dreadful (the outside of the Spa building I think) and breakfast is even worse. The staff are unhelpful and don't take complaints seriously.

The location is perfect as we were at s large BBQ with friends who live nearby. So saved the drive home late at night.

We were put in a lodge room which we weren’t informed of. Soundproofing of lodge room was appalling, you could hear conversations of people in adjacent rooms. There was no cold water in room, cold water tap dispensed warm water. Breakfast was very poor value for money, milk for cereal was very warm.

Well a memorable stay but for all the wrong reasons. A tired but comfortable room with an awful view of the constantly humming power plant. Breakfast was very poor, in terms of quantity and cooking. It felt like we were on rations even being limited to a slice of toast each. Breakfast was so poor we resisted the temptation of using the restaurant for our evening meal. Even the afternoon americano was literally half a cup no biscuit or chocolate in fact the cappuccino could not reach so far as a chocolate sprinkle, there were none in the hotel! Would not recommend.

Great location for Edinburgh, Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies. Lovely staff in hotel and restaurant, nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely breakfast served by a pleasant lady. Restaurant and bar were excellent - delicious food and a nice place to relax. Spa was popular but we didn’t use it.

We had a fantastic night at the Macdonald Inchyra. I can’t praise the team enough, everyone was so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too big an ask. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was amazing, everything cooked to perfection. I’d love to shout out all the staff for how attentive they were, we never had to ask for anything. Spa facilities were such a treat as well, next time we’ll make sure we make time for treatments but we loved the pool and thermal suite. Huge thank you again to everyone for making our stay so lovely, we’ll definitely be back!
