The room was adequate but very clean, food unpretentious, but well cooked and presented. The staff were exceptionally helpful to me and everyone else there. They should be congratulated on creating a relaxed evening

The lift was honestly terrifying to use. It was shaking badly as we entered, and then it suddenly stopped working while we were inside. We called for help several times, but unfortunately, no one came to assist us. Thankfully, the doors eventually opened and we were able to get out safely. To make matters worse, the lift didn’t even take us to the floor we were trying to reach. It was a very frightening and unpleasant experience.

The room was very well equipped, and very clean and well decorated. Breakfast was excellent.

Made us feel very welcome nothing was a bother would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was spotless and very tidy. All the staff were so friendly which made the stay even nicer. The only time it was loud was late at night in the bar which is expected anywhere but that definitely added to the atmosphere. The location is perfect, with being by a racecourse it makes it a nice hotel to stay in. The breakfast was also delicious and had lots of variety. Thank you to everyone.

The carpet in the room was dirty and had stains all over it. There was damage to areas of the walls and there was a strange smell to the room.

Great choice for a work trip. Easy to find with plenty of free parking, fast Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and a comfortable desk setup in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was nice and quiet for a solid night’s sleep. The front desk team was very professional and accommodating. Highly recommended for business travelers.

The staff at the hotel - from Reception to Dining Room - were exceedingly friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the food very good quality. Although we didn't make use of the offer, guests are allowed to enjoy an evening of greyhound racing for free. Would definitely stay again.

We were at a race meeting during the day so the location was excellent. Reception staff very helpful. Rooms were a bit tired and dated but clean overall. Comfy beds. Plenty of car parking. Bar/restaurant staff were excellent .

We booked an evening meal in the hotel. Placing our orders we were told there was no steak on the menu - not even for a ciabatta sandwich. Changed our order and the staff then had to come back and tell us there was no fish on the menu either so very disappointed with such a limited menu. Michelle saved the day by diffusing our friends growing anger. Holiday Inns should be able to do better than that.

The place was clear, the staff friendly and kind, the idea of the race course attrractive. Brilliant shower :-)

The smell in the lift, the fact that I had 9 people book there on my recommendation and it is not noted as an IHG reward or points. The building needs painting, and modernisation is due, e.g plugs and usb c points. And why are there no options for a brighter light!

Shabby decor, with flaked paint on walls and skirting. Bathroom door didn’t shut properly. Chair was frayed. Bathroom tap was stiff. Tv signal cut out. Lift stopped at the wrong floors and sounded like it needed maintenance. Radiator left on in the hallway, in spite of being in the middle of a heatwave. Limited gluten free options for eating at the hotel. It was not value for money for the price paid.

It was very hot so the Air-con was very welcome. Room was larger than expected and bed was comfortable - could do with a choice of pillows as mine was rather on the hard side. shower was good.

the double curtain on the shower was confusing. the bathroom could have done with a refurbish, couple of splits on panels, dark spots in corner of the shower - it seemed clean enough, but could have been better.

Where to start?! As a loyal IHG customer this is the worst holiday inn hotel (or should we classify as motel). It should be rebranded or go sold to a different group. The rooms are disgusting. We had 13 rooms in the hotel and can all agree that the carpets HAVE NEVER BEEN WASHED IR CLEANED. The 1980s bathtubs that are extremely dangerous for everyone including people in their 20s have to go. The check in would be better at a hostel than this place (you might as well invest in self check in rather than pay for receptionists that don’t understand what that roles is about). To pay GBP 250 per night for this place is beyond ludicrous! They don’t even give you drinking water bottles!!!!! The place is OLDD and disgusting. With zero amenities and badddd service. We spent a lot of money at the bar and the staff just couldn’t care less. Talk about an example of a place that has customers spending money and the staff couldn’t care less. Every order was a mission and we had to go to the bar and order and carry our drinks to the table OURSELVES! You could hear drilling in the hotel at 8am which shows they don’t care about guests sleeping. The housekeeping team can be heard chatting outside I. The hallways which again shows zero respect for paying guests trying ti sleep! We had friends who stayed at the premier inn nearby and paid GBP 100 per night and had a much nicer room. Don’t bother with this 1 star holiday inn.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Wolverhampton and had an excellent experience from start to finish. I had left booking a room until the very last minute and was worried I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere suitable to stay. Thankfully, Ingrida on reception went above and beyond to help me. She was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating, taking the time to look at the available options and managing to fit me in despite the short notice. Her friendly attitude and willingness to help instantly put me at ease after what had been a stressful situation. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, but it was the outstanding customer service from Ingrida that really made my stay memorable. She is a real credit to the Holiday Inn Wolverhampton team, and I’m extremely grateful for all her help. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Ingrida, for your exceptional service! 👏😊

I stayed for one night at this excellent hotel ( 20/6 ). Great backdrop of the racecourse stand and ring. We were greeted by Rebecca at reception. Excellent customer care skills, we couldn’t have been made more welcome. Also many thanks to Phil for his friendly, courteous manner and first class service in the bar and restaurant. lmpressive customer care skills again. Special mention to Ash, la chef, for her super friendly manner, great fun and a superb chef. Beautiful food, beautifully presented. Top marks Ash! Finally, again special thanks to Mrs. Jackie Bennett MBE, who looked after us so well in the restaurant. National Treasure and all round wonderful human being. Loved her Black Country accent! The breakfast was amazing and Phil and Sandra were attentive and nothing was to much trouble for them the room was clean but there were stains on the carpet and the desk chair had seen better days and tares in the curtain

I went to take the stairs and there was a window open and the smell of bird droppings was awful as was the sight of the huge pile of droppings

Travelling for work. On arrival was met by Ingrida who was very welcoming and pleasant - a smiley face after a long journey. Having found out I was attending the venue for a work conference Ingrida very kindly showed me where I would be working, and although the conference area was all locked up, arranged with her equally fantastic manager to let me in so I could set up - so grateful as it meant a more leisurely start to the next day and a relaxing breakfast. My first visit to Wolverhampton and this hotel and the staff made it a great one! Thank you Ingrida

The staff were very pleasant and polite.

My room was not cleaned for the whole period. Only the bed was made, the carpets had food bits and was not cleaned, the bath tub was not cleaned, my tea cups with the left over tea and water glasses were not collected or replaced. You can tell from the condition of the carpets in the the room that cleaning is not the best. I didn't like the dinner, I ordered a cheese burger on the first night and asked for crispy bacon, but I got under done soft bacon, I couldn't eat it. The burger was also under done and tasted awful. The burger seemed cheap quality...I tried dinner again another evening and ordered Linguine Carbonara, it was awful, it was dry. I didn't know Holiday Inn standards had deteriorated this much. I am not staying at another holiday Inn again. The lift bounces when it gets to every floor, it's scary, it doesn't feel safe...

Location great if you are going to the racing it was my birthday and we got a complimentary drink which was nice.

Room was next to the janiters cupboard and the door was constantly banging so kept waking me up.

Couldn’t fault the service from checking to going for breakfast the next morning. The 2 ladies who was in the restaurant went above and beyond. Couldn’t fault them one bit.

Pillows weren’t great

The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic. From the moment we checked in, the service was warm, friendly and very personable. This was replicated with everyone we encountered including the bar, the restaurant and at reception. We have been blown away by the service - the management and staff should be very proud of what they are achieving. It would be wrong of me not to mention some of the amazing staff. Jackie and Lakresha - you were so lovely at reception and when we visited the bar before we headed out. You set the tone for our stay. Keep smiling - it brightens up people’s days. Rebecca - you were so helpful. You went above and beyond for us, even offering to pop home to get some essentials for my wife. You deserve an award! I felt the reception staff were a bit judgemental of us us when we checked in a BLACK MAN and MIXED ASIAN WOMAN I sensed their whole persona on check in....Whilst they didn't say anything body language and whispering amongst each other speaks volumes. I am 52 yrs of age and know what I am speaking about also come from a hospitality background was sales exec for IHG Crowne Plaze NEC yrs ago

Had a 2 night break, for my aunties 75th birthday. Staff were outstanding, they even left a card for her, in her room and we were all treated to a free glass of prosecco. Tess and Jackie were delightful could not be more helpful. At the end of their long shift they would come and have a natter. And as hotel is attached to the race course it catered for my auntie not being so mobile. Rooms where clean, spacious and a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was lovely and catered for vegans.

Stayed for a night on the 25th April, it was fantastic, room was a little tired, but clean and functional, the stand out thing about this Hotel is the staff, everyone of them was exceptional, friendly, smiling and just appeared to be actually enjoying their jobs. The Breakfast was lovely, hot , fresh and plenty to choose from, we only chose this hotel because it is right next door to the racecourse, where we enjoyed a meal in the restaurant there and again the food and staff were excellent. We will definitely return when the horse racing is on. Special mention for Jackie who served us at the bar, funny, friendly and a super nice person, Holiday Inn you have an absolute treasure in Jackie, look after her.
