Red Roof Inn Canton

Location was great, any type of restaurant or shop you could want was very close within walking distance.

Room had a horrible smell of cigarette and weed smoke. We asked to be changed to a different room however the smell was just as bad with the added bonus of the deadbolt or internal security lock not working as it appeared the door had been kicked in at some point. Terrible natural light as if you wanted to open the curtains people could see straight into your room. Unfortunately for us timing was not ideal as there was several things on in Canton so this was the highest rated accommodation available to book.

Easy to find and locate. Wasn’t crowded I always had a parking spot close to my room.

Little things like the shower curtain in room 224 wasn’t clean. No microwave or refrigerator. But other than that the room was great for the price I paid.

The beds, staff, and location. It was near the mall so you could walk to it along with the restaurants.

Please work on renovations. The carpet needs to be pulled up. It smells like stink feet. The floors are dirty.

The room smelled like wet dog. It was very humid in the room and the mattress was about 20 yrs old with huge digits in it. To pay $1100 for something that should have been $500 was ridiculous. House keeping never asked one time if we needed anything at all.

We actually cancelled the reservation right then and there because it was dirty, and there were also a lot of cockroaches.

I booked 5 nights at Canton, OH. I arrived at the property late at night and was extremely disappointed by the condition of the room. It was not properly cleaned and was clearly unacceptable. The floor was so dirty that we could not walk on it without wearing shoes. In addition, there was a sock behind the armchair, a drinking straw left on the chair, a tortilla inside one of the drawers, and used dental floss under the sink. These conditions demonstrated a serious lack of housekeeping and sanitation. I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue and request a resolution. The front desk attendant acknowledged my complaint and offered a full refund, which I accepted. I checked out the following day with the understanding that the refund of the remaining days would be processed. However, to date, I have not received the promised refund or any communication from the hotel regarding the status of my request. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and ask that the agreed-upon refund be processed as soon as possible.

Channel selection was horrendous

Guests did not follow rules and rules were not enforced; no smoking, drugs, etc. Smelled like marijuana. Our key cards did not let us into the room twice and we had to ask the front desk to be let in. No one was at the front desk during check out and I had to leave a note and leave my key cards on their computer. I called to verify they got them and no one answered. There was no working television because a chord was missing. Overall, felt unsafe even though it’s technically in a decent area.

The staff was very helpful in getting us an appropriate room and for extra towels.

There were drain flies/gnats in the sink. Informed staff on checkout.

Red Roof is always a good value...the morning coffee is always appreciated, as well as the friendliness of the staff.

The cleanliness of the room, as well as the outside of this RRI was disappointing. I met with both the Desk Clerk and the Manager Kurt, and it was obvious that both cared about the perception of the guest, and apologized as well as explained that they are having issues with newer staff, as are many small businesses. We enjoy staying at RR's, which we've done often, and feel confident they'll turn things around!

Location is outstanding

Old, dated, no coffee pot or hair dryer in room. Bed was an older spring mattress and very uncomfortable.

Thankful for the morning coffee...the staff were all friendly and helpful!

The property and rooms are overdue for an update. We have stayed at many RRI's over the years, they are our go to...but this one, including our room #140 is in need of some TLC!

We loved the location to attractions. It was easy to get to and from. They also gave us a second set of towels for night 2 of our stay. My teenage son also needed fresh bed sheets for our second night. (Football player dreaming about visiting the Football Hall of Fame.) They were very accommodating for that.

The floors were sticky. When we were in socks, the bottoms of our socks were very dirty.

It was centralized place and I felt like it was more of an apartment as you had your own entry without going through a hallway

Room had horrible smell, no iron/ironing board in room, no hair dryer, covers had stains on them. Shower was also stained. Bathroom very small. Wall sockets did not work.

I didn't like that it was so pricey I also felt that if your paying almost $500 for a wk your room should have a microwave and refrigerator not just certain rooms. And the wifi was not the best

I loved the bed sooo comfy 😴 I liked that you had the choice to either watch tv,on the📺 or long on to Netflix or YouTube.. I like that it was literally around everything (the mall, all kinds of stores and restaurants, as things to go so with the kiddos..

Its was a little bit pricey, but i guess if your not staying for a long period.. I also didn't like that only certain rooms have microwaves and refrigerators

All of the staff were very kind and knowledgeable. The WiFi is absolutely horrible. Couldn’t connect at all the last 2 weeks out of a 3 week stay.

The other guests were loud & smoking outside our door all night. They advertised as breakfast included & there was no breakfast.

First room we were given the TV didn't work. We were moved to another room. That room had the door open because the lock was broken. We were then moved to another room that had ants in the bathroom. They had no more rooms. Staff was nice but facility was disgusting. The survey I then recieved from Red Roof had a response that they found none of that like I was lying. Will never ever ever go back.

We did not feel comfortable nor clean after staying there . We had to go somewhere to shower , now we are concerned about our luggage if we brought them to our home or not .
