Ac wasn’t great
Perfect. Vooral het vriendelijke ontvangst door het personeel. Vooral Karen.
Nvt
The staff were very welcoming, particularly the lady who served drinks in the bar. The room was very spacious and had all the facilities we wanted. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was clean. There was an excellent choice of food for breakfast. We have stayed at other HI Express but this one was really excellent value for money.
My partner would have liked Real Ale in the bar!!
The breakfast
Everyone were great, but Claire and Eva? (11/09/2026 evening sift) were incredible welcoming and polite. They made everything supereasy for me
Just location And ıf you add cheese to breakfast that would be great
Clean room, helpful staff and great location before going on my cruise.
The staff were friendly . breakfast was good .
The entertainment system was poor and no plugging system for European charger.
Happy and welcoming reception staff. Good location and plenty of parking. Nice free breakfast.
Paying for parking
Excellent price, good location, great and very friendly staff, for a "budget" hotel I cannot fault it. Nice room, massive bed!
Nothing!
Located near to party.
TV didnt work very well and the sink was blocked as it took a long time for the water to go down
Great friendly helpful staff Bodies on reception and others ! And also the manager at breakfast on the Saturday and all the other breakfast staff were so nice too.
Smell of stale smoke in our room 124. And view was terrible...a roof lol! Toilet door handle was filthy bit i cleaned it! But everything else made up for that!
All the staff were very pleasant & helpful. The room was lovely & clean and an ideal location as a stopover to Brighton. We arrived late at night but we're still able to get hot food. The breakfast in the morning was great with a good choice to suit everyone. Would definitely stay here again

Easy parking Great location Great staff Very clean
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. One lady in particular was very helpful. I think her name was Claire.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Not everything was kept topped up.
Comfortable bed, comfortable room. Breakfast was good. Staff clearing and cleaning tables all the time. Plenty of selection for breakfast. Reception staff were excellent. Karen was patient with customers. When we arrived, it was busy, but Karen and her staff acted professionally and calmly.
Would have liked a biscuit in the room with my tea. Shame you have to pay to park.
The room was spacious enough the bathroom too .I liked the shower basin not slippery and the water also flowed constancely no interuptions good showergel smells nice. The breakfast was very good what tops the breakfast for me is the morden kaffe machine i could drink my Latte as if i was home. The air condition also functioned very well not too loud to disturb your sleep. The workers very warm and friendly they create a wellcoming atmosphere.👌The bed was also good i enjoyed my sleep .
I wish they vacuum clean the room 's carpet abit more it looked a little dusty or wornout .The shower walls needs alittle more cleaning .
From the second we arrived, Claire on reception was absolutely lovely! All of the staff were so friendly. We loved that we could opt not to have sheets and towels changed every day, a 4 day stay, we managed ! Perfectly situated for everything we needed to do. The breakfast was good, dinner we expected basic ping food so were pleasantly surprised it was so good and tasty. Would definitely stay again. Booked months ago and got 4 nights for £253! What's not to love! Loved the lighting in the room, never gad side lights like them before but they were great!
Coming out of our room to the stench of weed! Into the lift reeking of weed!
Very clean and the location quite cosy

Everything
The break fast is great
The first room was full of cop webbs. We complained and we were moved to another room but, the other room carpet was terrible, the toilet doesn't flush properly. I requested for a chair in the room, the lady at reception said, there is no provision for chair in the room we booked but she eventually give me a conference chair and she made me carry it to the room.
Everything about the place 😌

Breakfast was lovely
Have to pay for parking I’d rather it was In with the hotel price
Lovely breakfast and AC

Saff
Hotel was clean and basic facilities no outside space
Breakfast was chaotic food at buffet cold
Lovely breakfast, great staff,
Only ruined by a terrible nights lack of sleep. Due to a lot of noise from both the rooms location next to the door to the hallway - regularly banging shut & the room above who thumped around like a demented elephant pretty much kept me awake until 1am.
Room ok
Food was poor in the evening

This hotel offered excellent value. We booked it as an affordable, convenient place to stay while visiting friends, but it felt much closer to a luxury hotel. The staff were very friendly and happily changed our room because my partner was suffering from sciatica. The bar is open 24 hours, and the area had a high-end feel. Our room was clean, quiet despite being close to the M25, fully air conditioned, and the bed was very comfortable, so we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was a real highlight: instead of the prepared box we expected from this type of hotel, there was a full cooked buffet with plenty of choice. Parking was also very reasonable for the location at £6 overnight.
The only criticism was that during the breakfast some items weren't refreshed quickly enough. With the food this can be expected, but we had to ask for more cutlery, and many people had to wait too. A minor inconvenience given the overall quality of the hotel
Room was basic but comfortable. Good value for London. Staff were very helpful at breakfast. Plenty of parking at £6. (Discounted)
Food choice for dinner was limited and was poor quality.
Nice clean it
Everything is good
Comfy beds, nice staff, easy parking and great breakfast.
Nothing.
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive.
The other guests were quite noisy and doors were banging throughout our stay.
Great location, clean, staff were brilliant!!
Beds very hard, pillows not great
Good location, fantastic service, clean,
The usb charging points not working, didn’t have a mains plug and was hoping to use my cable via the usb but none were working in the rooms. Rather disappointing.
Ive just checked in, (room 126) it’s late and Ive had my Grandson all day - im tired…. I walk in and - Theres someone elses toothpaste in my drinking glass, the bathroom floor grout is disgusting and part of it missing (health and safety, its sharp underfoot) the toilet is blackened inside, grout black in shower, limescaled shower head, there is what looks like pizza stuck to the bottom of a table, dust everywhere and to top it off theres a pubic hair stuck to the end of the soap dispenser…..what happened to hotels standards?! It wasnt expensive at & £81 but c’mon, im still paying for cleanliness and this is like minimal budget hotel on slightly more expensive prices!! Theyre even charging £6 to park when theres no other way to get here!!! (Apart from bus which is miles from anywhere - Im from this area) The only reason I gave a two rating is that the staff had the decency to look ashamed. Happy to consult on cleaning standards - its definitely required!!
Staff at the reception were great
The location of my room
It was clean
The air conditioning was not working and I had children with me, The sofa bed was not good enough and I requested 2 single beds for my children but did not get that. Room was so hot Toilet was smelling
Location and breakfast, nice clean bedding and dove shower kit, nice towels.
The hotel is pet-friendly. After arriving around midnight, we were told my small dog would have to pay £30 to stay, which is more than I paid for myself (25 pounds). However, the gentleman at reception assured us it was a deposit and would be refunded once the room was checked, so okay. I was also asked to pay £6 for hotel parking, which was a surprise. So, as you can see, there are hidden costs not visible on the booking website. In the morning, upon departure, I asked when I would receive my dog deposit back. The receptionist said I never would because it wasn't a deposit, but a cleaning fee. I was shocked; this was a scandal. I learned one thing at night and another in the morning. First, I pay £30 for a dog; if there's a fee, it's £10! The carpets are dirty, covered in stains, so what kind of cleaning do they charge for? The upholstery on the children's sofa bed was dirty and uncovered. My daughter refused to sleep there. The air conditioning unit, which was huge and quite old, hung centrally above the sofa bed, and I was worried it would fall off the wall. The carpets were very stained.
The staff! They are super nice
Rooms quite dated and smells of cigarettes

Great customer service and atmosphere from the first day I checked in, was well looked after upon with all request met. Lovely receptionist at the front called Karen
Everything was all to its standard
The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved that they had vegetarian options as well. The rooms were clean with well managed space for the size making it a perfect for my stay and the breakfast was delicious
Breakfast , room, staff
Very nice rooms
Paying £6 for carpark
Great staff very polite and helpful and friendly. Room was lovely to clean and tidy . Breakfast was just carnage, people were walking everywhere and there was no actual set up of what table to go to to eat . I do feel the staffing was under staffed , as they were rushing about trying to do as much as possible.( This is a fault of the Management not the staff) adding more staff would be a massive plus and also conduct some sort of order so visitors know exactly where to go and eat . I did have to ask for knives which took time , but again staffing issues . The car park isn’t free you have to pay which upset me didnt like that at all . Cost £12 for two cars so bear in mind when booking . Would I stay again , yes if I didn’t have to pay for parking and Management sorted the breakfast staffing issues .
We're family now.
Nothing. Maybe make the car parking free for guest.
All. Very nice
Location was ideal for an early start to miss traffic through the Dartford Tunnel. Staff were very helpful and the rooms good size, clean and comfortable.
The menu was a bit basic although the quality of the food was OK.
Great breakfast.. its a bonus for the price paid
It was good
Better cooked
We did arrive just as the restaurant was closing but the staff were very obliging and made us a coupe of meals for which we were grateful.
Breakfast was little chaotic - no fried eggs only scrambled and kept running out of things and not a lot of room in there to help yourself. And I don't enjoy paying for parking!
L'emplacement, la literie , personnel gentll et disponible
Parking payant pour les clients de l'hôtel
Firstly the front desk staff - especially Susan - very welcoming and made us feel at home! Amazing customer service skills. Was great to be welcomed in such a way. Breakfast plentiful - unlimited tea/coffee/juices/water and also a good selection of English Breakfast options. Also cereals and porridge was available as a healthier option. There was also fresh plain yoghurt, mixed berries and a small selection of fresh fruit.
Its a small area to grab your buffet breakfast where the warm food is available - I would suggest to move the hot drinks section to another location away from the warm food to allow more space.
We stayed at the rear of the hotel and it was lovely and quiet. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
Everything except staff wasn't too friendly/professional
Staff
Housekeeping prepared our bed, but gave us no new towels did not clean the bathroom door, nor vacuum the floors. No refrigerator nor safe in the room. No programs on TV from the US.
Best holiday inn I have stopped at the breakfast and choice was outstanding along with the room
Nothing to dislike
Le personnel !!! Tellement accueillant et gentil
Rien
The entrance road of Holiday Inn Express in Dartford is just off the roundabout at the southern end of the Thames crossing. Access was challenging in evening rush hour. There is plenty of parking, but this is charged at £12 overnight even for residents. The rooms are typical of this brand with comfortable beds, a small desk and easy chair. Clean shower room with adequate towels and Dove toiletries. Reasonable value evening meal of large portions in the bar dining area. Hot buffet breakfast was included. Free WiFi but very slow. Air con worked well. Near busy roads but a quiet night.
The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel's location was also excellent and convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area.
Unfortunately, the room was disappointing. It was not as clean as I expected, the carpet was very dirty, and the bed was uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. While the service and location were great, the cleanliness and comfort of the room need significant improvement.
Early breakfast welcome, but why still the discrepancy in starting later on a weekend (7am rather than 6.30am on weekdays) as many peope are staying when working, not everyone is there for leisure purposes! Karen on reception was very helpful in sorting my room requirements.
Have all Holiday Inn Expresses turned off the air conditioning facilities this sweltering summer or are the properties just not being properly maintained? EVERY Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in recently 'doesn't guarantee' A/C in rooms - if you get one you are lucky which was the case in my case courtesy of Karen - but yet the same inflated room price remains the same. No online check in available.
The bed is a very good size and very comfortable. Dove amenities are perfectly fine. The room is out from noise although just next to the motorway so all of us had a very good night sleep with a cold air-conditioner. Staff are friendly and nice.
Great service, friendly staff, very good location, spacious rooms with air conditioning and excellent value for money.
Nothing I could say.
We'd booked the hotel whilst going to an event at Brands Hatch. It was about 20 mins drive to the site, which was convenient, without the premium. Plenty of disabled parking which was ideal. The staff on reception were excellent, very helpful, understanding and knowledgeable. The lady who checked us in (Karen, I think) very kindly made sure we got a quiet room on the top floor with working a/c to make us more comfortable during the heatwave. The pizzas we had on Friday night were delicious so we went back on Saturday night for more, but unfortunately they weren't quite as good the second time.
The a/c was too good! We had to keep turning it off until the room heated up again. And it wasn't apparent how to use the hairdryer so I reported it as broken, but apparently you have to press the small button at the top of the handle as well as using the power control switch.
The hotel had everything we needed for our stay, and is in a good location.

We stayed for a night on our way home from Italy in the hope that we could avoid the queues for the Dartford Tunnel. It worked a treat and we'll certainly stay again. The hotel staff were very cheerful and friendly and we were given a choice of rooms. Our room was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We had a pleasant, reasonably priced meal and a couple of drinks in the bar area. We'd opted for a toom on the front of the hotel and although we could hear the traffic on the bridge, it didn't keep us awake. The room tariff includes a hot breakfast buffet, which set us up for the journey home. Hotel guests pay a reduced fee £6 for car parking. The next morning we were through the tunnel snd on our way with 10 minutes of leaving our room. The last time we made the journey, we queued gor nearly 2 hours
The only thing we did⁶ like was that the dining room was quitesparse and echoey Ĺl
Brilliant location. The staff were all very helpful and friendly

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
6.4/10Mixed reports: several guests described rooms as clean and comfortable, but at least one review noted a very dirty carpet and overall disappointing room cleanliness, so cleanliness is rated below average.
Service
9.3/10Consistently praised: multiple reviews call staff very helpful, welcoming and exceptional (specific praise for 'Susan'); a single note mentioned unfriendly/professional issues, but overall service is a strong positive.
Location
8.8/10Generally excellent for purpose: many reviewers highlight the convenient Dartford/Thames-crossing location and suitability for stopovers, though access can be challenging in evening rush hour and the hotel is near busy roads.
Room Quality
7.4/10Mostly comfortable rooms and good sizes reported, with adequate shower rooms and toiletries; some guests noted dated rooms and at least one mentioned an uncomfortable bed, so room quality is slightly above average but not outstanding.
Amenities
7.8/10Mixed: air conditioning and on-site parking are positives and toiletries are adequate; free WiFi reported but slow, and breakfast/food area is small—overall amenities are decent but have clear shortcomings.
Value for Money
8.6/10Frequently noted as good value: multiple reviewers specifically mention value for money and the included/ample breakfast as a bonus; paid parking is a drawback but does not erase the sense of good value.
Food and Beverage
8.4/10Breakfast is widely praised (plentiful choices, outstanding in several reviews) and evening meals described as reasonable, but some found the menu basic, chaotic service at breakfast, limited savory choices, or running out of items.
Overall Experience
8.1/10Overall positive for short stays and stopovers with very good staff and location; however issues with breakfast service space, paid parking and some cleanliness/room-datedness temper the experience.
Some rooms offer breathtaking views of the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, adding a memorable backdrop to your stay.
Start your day with a satisfying buffet breakfast included with your stay at the Great Room dining area.
Located near the M25 with Dartford town centre within walking distance for dining and entertainment.
