The Service during breakfast was not good at all. The waitress was unfriendly and unhelpful for two days in a row. She could not care less about us. Fortunately the manager during our breakfast on the last morning saved the day.

The views were stunning, hotel staff was very friendly. Good value for money

The breakfast I was told it would be from 6am it was not therefore i missed the breakfast everyday the staff didn’t even offer a solution or a replacement

The staff upon arrival were amazing. That was Saturday afternoon of the 8th. The staff after that. Extremely unfriendly. We had some issues which took alot of time to resolve. And due to that, we were delayed in doing the things that we needed to do, in Jhb. Our initial rooms had a problem with the air conditioning, we had to sleep with the balcony door open. When they moved our rooms because they couldn't fix the AC, it took so long for them to come to this decision that we had wasted most of the day. On the first night, they did the turn down service on one of the rooms and not the other. I feel disappointed overall that for the price and potential of the place, we left underwhelmed. The pool was supposed to be heated. But apparently that was not working.. one of the main reasons we spent so much to stay here.

On the check in they were about to charge extra for my brother, because on the hotel policies he is not a children as for the booking policies. This lead to discussion on how to sort out the issue. At the end we did not pay any extra amounts as we simply followed the booking rules, however it was exhausted the stress and time lost during this period. So this is something that they should have stated, under their policies children go up to 12 years old. + It would be better if the hotel had hallal options on their restaurant. Besides this the stay was enjoyable.

A great hotel in the city, with a good location and atmosphere. My room was beautiful and spacious, and everything was perfect. The room has all the necessary amenities for guests. You can relax in your room with a view of the entire city. The staff was very friendly, always helpful, and smiling. A wonderful restaurant, with stunning views from the tallest bar in Africa, and a modern breakfast in the lobby. The entire stay was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

From the moment we checked in until our departure, everything was seamless. The teams at reception, Alto234, Aurum and breakfast went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality and exceptional service made our stay great. Thank-you to everyone for making our night out special.

We were expecting Top Quality service, having experienced the Legacy s Hotels in the past and their commitment to deliver High End Experiences to their Guests. The Leonardo takes it to another Level. It sits physically High up above any other Building, but also Heads and Shoulders above any other Hotel in Terms of Hospitality in Johannesburg.

The Leonardo in Sandton Celebrated my retirement and our 40th Anniversary! We have traveled extensively and this trip has become #1 trip and experience by far!

Loved the locations. The atmosphere radiant and the staff was very professional and the rooms was breathe taking.

The architecture is good.

The staff are extremely rude, my nanny needed assistance with her breakfast and was met with a bad attitude. A baby choked at the next table and there was food all over the floor that the poor baby had thrown up, took the staff almost an hour to clean up the mess. The staff is not trained on first aid either so the baby had to go to the hospital. The staff just generally need training on customer service, from the reception to the restaurant its terrible, I can safely say I am never coming back or recommending it to anyone. Ill stick to The Raphael.

Lovely stylish apartment, all the modern amenities you need including a dishwasher. Comfortable bed and great view from the (27th floor) balcony. They even supplied me with a small carton of milk in the fridge.

Breakfast seems weird served in front of the reception desk, in a waiting and bar style area. The staff didn't seem interested in explaining my choices or how this particular hotels self service Breakfast system worked? They literally just asked if I wanted a drink and left me wandering around with all types of african influenced food items that someone with a distinctive British accent wouldn't necessarily know about? The sudden rainy afternoon in April put an end to my booking for the rooftop bar as no sooner had I booked it with the specific person on the reception at check in but also the *housekeeping lady who followed myself and the concierge guy up to my room - without mentioning who she was- but eventually she said she would book the rooftop bar an hour earlier than I originally booked it after advising me to book the restaurant instead for a proper meal rather than the rooftop bar tapas only menu. That main fine dining restaurant is lovely, good quality food and decent service but another strange set up as it is also a gym and pool area outside the balcony windows. From the hotel lifts the sign says gym this way but you end up in a fine dining restaurant? Different/strange?

Our stay at the Leonardo Hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly accommodating from start to finish, even helping coordinate our transfers with Jarrat Tours, which made everything seamless. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, modern, and extremely clean — exactly what you want when traveling. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely return without hesitation!

Een fraaie verrassing bij aankomst: door de receptie werden we geüpgraded naar een aanzienlijk ruimere kamer. Op de 26e verdieping genoten we van een werkelijk briljant uitzicht. De suite beschikte over drie comfortabele slaapkamers, elk met een eigen badkamer. Alles klopte — de service was attent, de luxe vanzelfsprekend en het uitzicht onvergetelijk. Een verblijf zoals je hoopt dat het nog steeds kan bestaan.

Dat was er eenvoudigweg niet. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd, precies zoals je dat mag verwachten — en eigenlijk steeds minder vaak tegenkomt.
