Front desk staff were ok and Filipino staff were polite and friendly.The male Japanese clerk Was also helpful and polite likewise the Indian guy. And Japanese lady

I stayed at the Moana for three weeks, and enjoyed my entire time there. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and spoke very good english. Housekeeping was done every three days, but you can always ask the front staff for toiletry refills, if needed. AC/dehumidifier worked great and kept the room cool, especially during the days that got up to 110+ degrees F. And the in-room washer+dryer was also super useful to wash sweaty clothes. Hotel offers free parking too; but it gets full at nights. But don't worry, give the keys to the staff and they'll find a place for you. Overall a superb stay at the Moana, I highly recommend it!

Can't say enough of how friendly the staff are. It made my 2 kids veryt comfortable. washing machine in the room was a nice extra.

Just a motel feel, maybe as opposed to a hotel. Still nice little place.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und man hätte eine eigene Waschmaschine mit Trockner im Zimmer. Das Personal war sehr nett und es gab gratis Frühstück, gratis Wasser und Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine. Es war sehr sauber.

Die Klimaanlage steht auf dem Balkon, man kann sich nicht raussetzen wenn sie läuft weil es dann sehr heiß ist.

This hotel is in the perfect location, away from the touristy American Village but still close to beaches, restaurants, bars and seafront walks. The room was comfortable, clean, bright and had good kitchen essentials and a washer & dryer. The staff were exceptional, very friendly, helpful and went out of the way to make my stay pleasant even during a typhoon and the resulting flight delays.

Room cleaning more than twice each week would have been nice, maybe every other day even

The location is fantastic! Many restaurants within walking distance; several on the same street. The staff are friendly, helpful, and pay great attention to detail. I am currently one month into a three month stay. I am happy to stay here for the next two months.

Parking is tight but that's typical of Okinawa. Some of the in-room amenities are not what I'm used to in larger western hotels. It was still comfortable and livable.

Great location in Chatan, perfect for diving and exploring tidal pools on the Miyagi Coast. Very close to many great restaurants as well. Staff was approachable, kind, and always available for questions.

Staff here are absolutely wonderful. Very clean, super friendly, exceeded my needs and expectations. The coffee and breakfast are great. Loved having the washer and dryer and kitchenette for my month long stay. Quiet and peaceful area, not much traffic. Lots of great places to eat and sights within walking distance.

The parking area is small but the staff will park your car for you if necessary

We liked the roominess of the room, the aesthetics, and the beds. Also, the balcony with furniture and the washer dryer were lovely.

The fact that there was a lovely hot tub, but it was closed because it was considered off-season was slightly disappointing. The March, whether we were having would’ve been well suited for using a hot tub.

Staff was friendly professional and very helpful. Property was extremely clean and well cared for. Good location close to the seawall and local restaurants. In room washer and dryer was another bonus.

The best service ever. The staffs were so accommodating. Knowing what breakfast choice we like. Knowing who we were, playing and chatting with our 4 yrs old. Lovely team! The room was clean and had a kitchen and washing machine and drier. The room was very quiet and sound proof.

I think it was a bit costly and parking was thigh so the hotel had to move cars around to fit us all.

The staffs are kind and helpful. There is a staff who can converse in Chinese. The Japanese staffs made us feel at home during our stay at The Moana. The room is sufficiently equipped with cooking facilities and is spacious. The beds are very comfortable and clean. The location is accessible for us to take the local buses to the northern parts of Okinawa. It is walkable to American Village with a nice stroll when the weather is sunny. It is near the beach and we were able to rent a bike for free from The Moana to ride along the beach.

Overall, the room is sound proof. However, due to the wall partition in the balcony which is not full height, any noise from the next door can be heard especially when there is music played or people quarrelling.

Hotel was clean, location had great access to restaurants and staff was amazing and so nice.

Staff are about the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

It was the perfect location to Kadena AFB. We stayed 11 nights our room had a washer and dryer, and small kitchen. Great walking distance to several restaurants and the sea wall. Staff were amazing.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. My room was surprisingly spacious, giving plenty of room to relax and unwind. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience — I’d definitely stay here again!

It was so well presented and clean with great facilities and very helpful and friendly staff with 24 hour service on the front desk. Delicious pastries for breakfast included. Good location for experienced surfers being very close to Sunabe Seawall and also walking and bike riding along the Seawall. The bikes were excellent and free to use. Great restaurant just behind the property and plenty of others nearby

The room was big and comfortable and we could walk to restaurants and bars near us. we had a car so getting around was easy. loved having the washer and dryer in the room , We had a walk-in shower which was nice. and the balcony had a view of the ocean from the side.

That the one lady was a little weird about having my grandkids come up to change clothes before we went to dinner, they live on the other side of the island and we were at the beach all day. to me its not a big deal but to her it was. other then that the staff was great.

The Staff were amazing. The hotel may mot come with good breakfast but the Staff were exceptional. I was provided with better treatment and service than the 5 star hotels I normally stay in.

A slice of aloha paradise 🌺 We absolutely loved our stay at The Moana! The location was perfect, peaceful, though there were jet planes flying everyday. But close to everything we needed. The staff were exceptional: genuinely friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Parking was easy, and the light breakfast was a sweet touch to start the day. We especially appreciated the complimentary bikes—they made it so convenient to explore the area and pop over to the grocery store and drugstore. The whole place radiates amazing vibes, with a charming aloha theme that felt both relaxing and uplifting. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into creating a thoughtful guest experience. We’d absolutely stay here again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

La ubicación perfecta para disfrutar de la tranquilidad fuera de Naha, pero tener los servicios a mano. La cama muy cómoda y la habitación en general con todos los servicios. Se agradeció tener lavadora y secadora. Y el desayuno de cortesía muy útil, ya que los restaurantes cercanos abren a las 10 h.

Tiene la base aérea de los US bastante cerca y se escuchan los aviones volviendo al atardecer. Tienes que estar al loro de los horarios de los restaurantes cercanos, ya que cierran pronto y en jornadas raras.

The unit is like a studio apartment complete with washer + dryer, a sink, kettle, cups, cutleries, etc. The simple, complimentary breakfast of 3 small pastries and a drink was a pleasant surprise.

The location is not ideal for travellers who rely on public transport. The hotel is located in a quiet, residential area 2.5km from AEON Chatan Branch/American Village where we took the bus to Churaumi Aquarium and Naha International Airport, and where restaurants, shops and nightlife are. We ended up walking to AEON or took a taxi when we had luggage. However, if you're driving your own vehicle The Moana would be an ideal choice.

The location was perfect. The booking was easy. The staff were attentive. Robes, amenities in the room. Clean sheets, comfortable beds, rollaway bed under the main bed.

The musty humidity smell in the room on the third floor. The mold stains under the wallpaper on the walls and ceiling. AC was very weak in the room on the second floor, it took a long time to cool the room.
