Clearwater Beach Hotel

We booked two rooms; there were cockroaches in one of them.

There were a few dead bugs in the room. Also floors were not very clean. Perhaps sweep the sand up and then mop. Seems like sand was stuck to the floor.

I am a repeat guest at this hotel. Love staying there! Great rates! Friendly staff! Walking distance to beach, restaurants and right across from Shephards tiki bar🎶💃🏝

The location was really nice!

The staff were probably the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. They were we’re not there to make your stay comfortable anytime we need anything at all. We got attitude about it. There was only one cleaning lady who was amazing everybody else, including the manager. The people who work at the front desk were miserable and rude. Half of the outlets did not work in the room, the fridge did not work and when it did it would freeze everything solid. Dead roaches behind the furniture, getting clean towels was harder than getting new sheets. Same with pillows. The pillows were extremely small. About the size of a couch throw pillow. The pool area has multiple signs that said the pool opens at 7am. Per the workers it does not open until ten, every other hotel in the area opens at 7. The hotel specifically says they have barbecue grills, the grill belongs to the hotel next door. Also says that they have docking for boats that is also a lie that also belongs to the hotel next-door. The lobby is not free. It has beach chairs which you have to pay for. All in all, I will never stay there again. I will go down the road to the golf view where the rights are the same. The staff is nicer. You have private beach access and you feel safer there.

To był mój drugi pobyt w tym hotelu. Bardzo żle zostaliśmy przyjęci w dniu przyjazdu przez personel w recepcji. Tak naprawdę to recepcja szukała pokoju bo nie ma wolnych... Otrzymaliśmy pokój na 5 piętrze z uwagą że sprzątanie będzie co trzy dni!??? Ten pokój nie spełniał standardu nawet jednej gwiazdki. Z łazienki lała się woda i płynęła na cały pokój, klimatyzator działał jakby nie działał. Po reklamacji i żądaniu nowego pokoju albo zwrocie kosztów znalazł się inny pokój na drugim piętrze, ale pojawił się problem bierzesz albo zwrotu kosztów nie będzie...

Location can't be beat! Within walking distance to many restaurants/bars and the beach! You don't need a car to get around this part of Clearwater.

The other part of the hotel was sold last year and now you can no longer have access to 2 pools or larger rooms to accommodate families. Also, we lost use of a washer/dryer due to the sale of the hotel. The washer/dryer that was at the Clearwater Beach Hotel was malfunctioning and after repeated attempts to use them and telling the front desk about the issues we encountered, they finally put an out of order sign on the machines. Need to have more than 1 washer/dryer for the entire hotel. Also, would like to see more umbrellas at the pool.

The location was easy to go to restaurants, beaches and attractions.

Terrible experience, when we woke up in the morning the room was floated in water, we reported the issue to reception, and they helped us changing the room in the afternoon to the fifth floor. The following night the PTAC unit had a horrible noise did not allow us to sleep, as a result we turned off the PTAC and we slept without AC all night. Last day, we tried to use the elevator, and it was broken having to use the stairs, also and without notification the pool was closed in the morning. The inside of the elevators had open beer cans for two days, it had a horrible smell. People hanged their personal wet clothes on the hallway handrail giving bad appearance to the place.

Terrible bathroom stunk of urine linen and bedding where worn and stained .room was a pietrie dish we registered for a 6 day stay on 4 nite car was towed.the boy at the desk would not give name or number of towing co.directed me to rusted sign in lot.thenumber was no longer in service. Refused to give number of management or owner..police were called and explained it happens often there..cheap rates are bait.they must make money towing guests vehicles..350.00...I rate it a 0..room and desk service..

We’ve stayed at this hotel for the last 6 years, we’ve never had an issue before… until now. First day we arrived, the toilet wasn’t working properly, they said they sent someone to fix it but the same issues occurred. Beds were very uncomfortable! The entire hotel was NASTY!!!! First room we stayed in we found SEVERAL cockroaches, was moved to a second room and found even more!!!!! Needless to say; we LEFT admittedly!!!! ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTING!!!! The staff made the comment about recently having a cockroach issue but stated “they self sprayed and don’t know if they’re going from room to room”. We ended up spending thousands of dollars on a new room (since it was last minute) after spending over a thousand dollars on this hotel. I requested a full refund but it takes 5-7 business days. Overall, this place needs shut down.

Cant beat the price for the short walk to the beach ! The fact that it also had free parking js a bonus. Rooms were clean as well

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING We were getting ready for bed when we found multiple roaches crawling around our room. We immediately packed our things and left. Since we booked through Expedia, we were told the reservation was non-refundable, so now we're stuck in the middle of the night over 1,200 miles from home trying to find another place to stay. It's now so obvious why this place is so cheap. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else

Your front desk staff was very rude to me.It was unnecessary. He was later nicer , but he was still very rude and said some things he shouldn't have said.

The property was run down. The pictures on the Internet does not match up or what it really looks like in person. The hotel has roaches. It was so bad that we didn’t even stay there. We went to a different hotel.

Hotel was in a great location. Close to the beach and stores. We walked everywhere and did not need a rental car at all. Staff was very friendly and beds are very comfortable.

We love the location, easy and convenient to walk to beach and the pier. The price is exceptable, the pool is nice withe exception dont like that they share with condos next door and some of those people were being inconsiderate.

The cleaning wasnt up to our standards. The floor wasnt ever swept, we had to ask for towels at one point bc the cleaning people took to long to get to our room. My husband had to keep taking the trash out as well.

hi it was a good basic hotel, nice room with good a.c. microwawe coffe machine fridge and freezer. large room..shower and good staff personnnel. who cleaned and were helpful also the desk personel consierge were great .free coffey. but no brekfast...so ok .pretty good a backdraw .it was on the eastern side of south gul boulevard so the wiew was at tampa bay..area.. not soo good that you could not walk dopwn right to the beach on west side because it was private property and you could not cross orgo there but there is a bus , trolley cheap you can take or walk some 1 mile up the blvd and get to the clearwater beach great wonderful white flour .,,...sand... gret hotel but maybe cheper then those who front the west side of the gulf boulvd. but had a great stay ca 1 week. from john beegaard,

Not bad for the price, located across the street from the beach but close to a lot of things. Room was clean, had a decent view, had everything you would need for a stay. Pool was the only real amenity but was nice and had a good view of the marina

Door had a gap but was able to double lock it so no worries there really. Not many amenities compared to some others around, but great for the price

Found roaches in two of the four rooms we had on the fourth floor, the nite cap guy said they was palmetto bugs which is roaches if ya look it up, the manager was awesome but night shift guy was a douchebag, they try to tell you that you can’t be on the balconies after 10pm or you get complaints and try to make u leave the property, cleanliness was horrible, and don’t plan on doing your laundry their,unless ya brought your piggy bank with ya

The showers needed bigger curtains and the showers needed to be higher in the side. Mini fridge wasn’t cold enough like it should have been. We kept most of our stuff on ice the whole time.

There were roaches crawling all over our room. Down the walls and coming from under the beds. The pool filter was not running or non existent and therefore dirty and the lounge chairs were all cracked. Some of the staff were rude.

Booked a room. Parking fee was included. We did not have a vehicle and asked to have the fee removed at the time of booking. Someone on the property’s staff responded telling us the fee would be credited when we checked in. However when we checked in the desk person refused to credit us because we booked through Booking. This seems a little deceptive and was very frustrating realizing our stay would cost nearly $200 more than planned.

Me and my husband had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would definitely come back. The location was excellent, close to everything we needed and very convenient for exploring the area. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it.

The property and rooms are very outdated the lamps were coming off the walls, shower was not as clean and neat as it should be the trim is coming off the wall. Just needed a full update.

The room had a bad smell.There were gnats flying in the room the whole time. On our second night we found a few roaches. We order food and by the time I went to use the restroom to wash my hands a roach flew in my food. The beds sheets were stained and the pillows super worn out.The refrigerator wasn't working appropriately. Mold in the bathroom walls.In general I was not pleased with the room.

Location !! Beautiful harbor view . Early check in. Clean room but outdated ( only down fall was mattress) Service was very quick- our a/c did not work and within an hour they had it replaced and fixed ! Good water pressure for showers & taller shower heads ( we struggle with shower head being low on a lot of hotels we’ve stayed at) Walking distance to beach - about 10 min walk and your in the sand. Great coffee place & taco place across the street No breakfast at this hotel.

No exaggeration on- the beds are the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on- my family & i had 5 rooms total and all were awful. Pool was locked until almost noon when signs said 7am. Cockroach found in room….. Elevators were smothering hot & very slow..

Great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. The staff was very welcoming and there was someone at the front desk whenever we needed anything.

There were people smoking in the pool when we were using it. Didn’t remember seeing signs there saying no smoking.

The staff was friendly and Clearwater Beach was right across the street from the hotel.

Upon my arrival to the hotel for me and my friends vacation , we were unfortunately greeted to a horrible surprise. Upon opening the fridge in room 404 we were greeted with that cockroaches inside of the fridge , but more horrifying than that ones that were alive behind crawling.
