Candlewood Suites - Kingston West by IHG

New, modern, very spacious, had gym and pool, great staff

Zero

Quiet if you can avoid the sports team rooms areas. Good ameneties overall and clean.

Smart switches in bathroom are awful. At night the automatic on is way too bright. Use of your personal streaming service requires too much personal information.

Size of room, cleanliness

Paid a much higher price than what was advertised on Expedia. Breakfast was provided for half the hotel and not the other half, which was NOT made clear at check in and so came as an unpleasant surprise.

The room was really big , neat clean and quiet

Price was high

Todo perfecto

Sólo que hubiera que , todos los días, re conectarse a Internet; que no fuera automático

Reception was closed and had to go to Holiday Inn reception. Shared property and facilities. But room was new and fresh. Big tv with easy viewing from bed but only provided with casting from phone. Kitchen was well equipped and even had cleaning supplies.

Everything was super clean, convenient and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Aarti for making us feel very welcome. 🙌

Clear room friendly staff and adequate parking. Nice pool. Did not use the gym because we were cycling all day.

The full kitchen was an added bonus.

Exactly what to expect for the price

Place is nice, our room had a good size, the only thing is that our room smelled a lot of food. Someone cooked some kind of indian food or something that the smell was all over the furniture and bedding. Other than that staff was super friendly. Breakfast was okay, not the best to be honest.

I really love how friendly and welcoming the staff are—it made our stay feel comfortable and enjoyable from the start. I also love our room, especially having the kitchen, which made it so convenient for us. The rooms are very clean and well-kept, which added to the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay.

The room was nice and spacious. It was convenient to have a full kitchen to do our own cooking, though the cook top elements could have been larger especially since the pans were large. The pool was a nice bonus. The staff were very nice and welcoming.

We stayed in a room with kitchenet. It was more than kitchenet - every utensils, pans and even a dishwasher was there. The room was very large and clean. Its location has pros and cons. Newly developed area where needs more works to be done, very close to the huge shopping area, far end of the downtown area which will take 15 minutes by car.

If the pool is a big part, this hotel is not the best pick. It has a very small pool. Business centre wasn't ready.

Very nice

not even cheap slippers in rooms. the pool is too small. the breakfast room is too small. skip the breakfast which they claim is complimentary (❗) and even the coffee. on the other hand, the suite rooms are large and excellent, except the shower and again the coffee. the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. wi-fi is strong and reliable

Great and friendly staff, clean hotel. Poor breakfast.

Love the full kitchen in room, so convenient when travelling with food.

Lovely and new and comfortable

In the kitchen the tea towels were all covered in bleach marks. I missed a daily service in the room to freshen up as it was a vacation. Even an express service fresh towels, emptying the bins and making the beds is nice for a break.

Close to everything. Quiet for sleeping. Liked kitchenette

I loved how big of a room it was and how the kitchenette was a full one! Wasnt expecting to see that! Never used any of the kitchen appliances or anything! We arrived late and just needed to sleep and be gone by 830 am ! But i truly loved the room

So clean and new, friendly staff, beautiful rooms

Rooms were spacious and clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. Real size fridge and microwave were great. But most importantly, housekeeping service were on demand only (we hate it when our room is cleaned and towels changed every day). Also great was the customer service, the messages checking on us frequently. They created a nice feeling of people caring about us but where subtle enough not to overwhelm. Although we were not travelling with a pet, seeing so many pets around was nice. Staff was exceptional, they were sincerely kind and nice, resourceful and caring while respecting boundaries.

Breakfast area was very small, we could not find space and therefore not enjoy breakfast in the hotel. Would have liked if windows could have been opened. Would have been great to provide slippers.

We had a wonderfull stay

Very clean and friendly staff

Staff are helpful and cooperative They even gave us complimentary breakfast and upgraded our room for free. Also agreed for late check out

The gym is small and needs more equipment. The tv couldn't be connected to my phone however i didn't ask them to fix it. Room need an extra table for eating.

Great hotel and friendly staff

Breakfast could be better. Only one fruit available, same hot options everyday, no dairy alternatives.

Good value great stay

Excellent

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was new, clean, comfortable room and bed. The desk staff were extra helpful and really cared about our stay details. The breakfast was quite good, and the fitness area was a welcome option. Quiet and streamlined.

Na

We were able to make a nice little dinner . The kitchenette is perfect. Very comfortable. The coffee, however, was one of the worst I have tasted. Everything else was great!

Very new, spacious and clean. Staff were excellent.

great place for families to stay

Everything was good

Very nice

We had a very nice comfortable stay. The location of this hotel is perfect. Close enough to the city to have lots of Dining and shopping options, but fall enough to still have a quiet environment around the hotel. This hotel was very clean, and well kept. Would come again!

Front desk staff are very pleasant and helpful. Suite was very clean and had everything needed and lots of space. There are many seating areas around hotel to sit and have a quiet coffee. Breakfast has a few timing issues to work out at the buffet. Overall a great property to stay at!

Clean and new

It was quiet, clean and newer. It had an excellent breakfast as well.

Kitchen

Nothing

Cleaning is only done every 7 days which is too far apart . Couriers / delivery folks are allowed to go up to guests rooms to deliver items to guests which isn’t safe. No assistance with guests luggage

Elevators were a bit slow is the only complaint I have. Pool was nice and warm, room was clean and the staff were excellent.

Rooms were great, very comfortable beds. Pool was small but adequate for kids. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I would stay again for a hockey tournament.

Very pleasant staff, clean and new property. Coffee available 24/7 Pool open late

Lovely rooms, spacious, clean and stocked well. Beds very comfortable. Liked having the kitchen and room was quiet. Excellent customer service.

Pool area was cold, should keep the room temperature warmer, if not both room and water, caught a bad chill.

I loved the room we stayed in, it was beautiful and the accommodations of the hotel were amazing. The ladies at the desk I deal with as well were flawless!

Stylish and comfortable.

Not near restaurants

Staff were friendly

Comfortable bed,spacious and clean

pool, breakfast, quiet

disability room with two queen and accessable tub... could not go between the beds with rollators.

Clean and modern

Absolutely fabulous stay and conditions! Service was top notch

It was a really nice hotel, the room was very modern and had everything you needed. I was a little disappointed with the gym (very basic). I was also under the impression that the continental breakfast was included, but I came to find out it was $10 a day. It was well worth the $10, I will say that. I just would have been nice to know that beforehand. Overall good experience. My only complaints would be the gym and the fact that there is no room service or restaurant/bar at the hotel.

Super

Nothing

Staff were great, very helpful, well trained, but the room service was the worst that I have seen in my life. We did not got daily service, our room wasn’t clean as cleaned at all (Sunday to Friday) even when requested. We run out of soap and shampoo.

The suite was clean and spacious and the furniture and faculty was modern!

Nothing!

New building, rooms clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is good enough of course. The only downside is that the traffic circle on the road by the hotel has one blocked access. Albeit temporary the traffic cuts through the hotel parking lot and does not always do so cautiously. Maybe slow signs should be posted through the parking lot.

Everything was wonderful!

I have nothing but great things to say about this trip!

We loved having the kitchenette. The cleaning staff coming only once a week was understandable but still would have been nice for new sheets and towls at the half way ofnour stay

Took credit card payment before check in. Used excuse saying rooms got full. Previous knew hockey team staying there. Put teams not together on same floor. Packed breakfast with teams. Made to rent room with kitchen facilities as no two double beds only. Treat hockey teams better than mature adults. No books on things to do, restaurants, visitor information about kingston. Quiet place to stay but not when let hockey teams take over motel and pool. Would not return.

Friendly greeting. New hotel, clean, not to far from shopping.

Well appointed. Clean. Renovated. Not a whole lot of options around the hotel without a few minutes driving.

Everything

The breakfast is cheap

Great staff kind and respectful and courteous. Silver fish in the washroom

I feel that for the cost of the rooms there should be daily room service with new towels etc. the request for more towels took over 2 hrs.

Peaceful Environment

Great

Great stay and kitchen was well equipped!
