Clean comfortable quiet room. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Ideal location for everything central we wanted to see

Could have been doung with one more day to visit cultural interests

Excellent standard of rooms close to centre and amenities

Only downside was my brothers room as at 11pm at night we couldn’t get in the room and my brother had to go to another room without his belongings. The staff were great and also gave a 20%. The reason I say downside was I was told they have been having issues with that door over the last few days so really shouldn’t have been used

Staff welcoming and friendly. Room a little dated but good for an overnight stay. Location was perfect as we were going to a show at the concert hall. 5 minute walk to venue. Nice bar area and food was good.

Key card to room did not work when we returned from being out. Staff were helpful and assisted but took key cards away after we got into the room and did not return with another. Slept with safety chain on door.

Anna at the bar was the star! Food and drinks were good and breakfast was as well tasty and from good quality. Room is good and comfortable. Parking either in front or next to the hotel at a cost of 7 £ affordable. I would again stay at this hotel but only for short (1 or 2 days).

Noisy rooms. You can hear you neighbor walking around but even more important snoring during the night. It simply means the walls are not built in a way that noise is absorbed. That was quite disappointing.

This hotel is beautiful, rooms are great and really clean. All parts of the hotel are well maintained and there is a lovely inside garden area which is secure for walking the dog. The stream runs through the hotel and you can see it under the floor inside. Food was lovely and the staff so, so friendly. Great stay and would stay again.

The location and the historical aspects of this old mill that have been preserved in updating it into a hotel were amazing! The breakfast was particularly excellent.

The lone thing I would have liked would have been an electrical outlet near the bed...but I do understand that it is difficult in refitting a historical building.

It was an old mill and features were kept which I didn't know about. The lovely lady at reception answered my questions about the features which I found really interesting.

It was quirky and central location.

1. Grundlegende Sachen haben gefehlt … beispielsweise eine Klobürste. 2. Die Einrichtung wirkt sehr altbacken und so als ob eine Renovierung seit Jahrzehnten nicht mehr stattgefunden hat. 3. Der Raum in dem wir untergebracht waren, war extrem hellhörig. Man konnte z.B. das Vibrieren des Handyweckers sowie die Schritte vom Nachbarn hören.

Het is een mooi gebouw met een of waterrad erin. De ontbijtzaal zag er ook gezellig uit. De locatie is ook prima en je kon je auto vlakbij parkeren.

We vonden de kamer en badkamer wel heel gedateerd, die mogen wel es een opknapbeurt krijgen.

The staff were lovely, couldn't be more helpful. Particularly Chloe who had good knowledge of what gluten free options were available. Very friendly.

The room was very dated and small. There were cobwebs on the wall above the corner lamp. The bed was uncomfortable and so were the pillows. One side of the bed didn't have a bedside table so no where for a glass of water or even to sit your phone on. TV right in front of the mirror so it was difficult to get ready ( we were going to a wedding). Just disappointing.

Rooms were stifling hot with no air conditioning though reception helped by giving us a fan. Window wouldn't stay open, had to prop open with pillow. Then got all the outside shouting and swearing noise at 4am. Said location was just ok as very central but surrounding areas did not feel safe at night. Parking available but limited. Had a bar meal (chicken burger) which was totally inedible. Couldn't actually get a knife through it, it was so tough. Rather than offer refund, we were offered free drinks but would have preferred not to pay for a meal I couldn't eat. Definitely wouldn't recommend....sorry.

Breakfast selection was great, and plenty of it. Loved the rustic feel of the building. All the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Dinner menu wasn't so extension and not what was advertised online. It also wasn't clear that dinner was just in the bar area. The bar area could do with more tables/chairs, it was very limited. Rooms are a little dated but goes with the building, carpets throughout do need replaced.

Hormis le personnel très agréable et le buffet petit-déjeuner satisfaisant, je ne conseillerai rien d'autres.

C'est un très vieux hôtel, moquette râpée jusqu'à la corde, rideaux lamentables, peinture sale car par refaite depuis des années. Dans l'ensemble c'était propre mais tellement vieux que le personnel d'entretien ne peux plus faire de miracle...La lumière du couloir visible toute la nuit car la porte est trop courte. Espace de la chambre correcte mais décoration totale déprimante et pas digne d'un hôtel Mercure. Cet hôtel est entièrement à refaire.

After checking in I realised I'd forgotten to pack my phone charger. The reception staff were super helpful by being able to supply me with a replacement to use during my stay which was such a help and relief!

Room was clean and comfortable. Had iron and ironing board, which was handy as my dress for the evening was a bit crushed. Good range of foodstuffs available for breakfast. Tasty and well cooked. Easy walking distance to Perth Concert Hall, and not too far from Railway Station.

The cobbles at the entrance were uneven with large gaps which meant walking on them required care. Would be a problem for anyone with walking difficulties.

Central, fair price, nice staff, clean enough overall (though a few cobwebs were visible), bed was fine, pretty good breakfast.

The floors are incredibly loud and creaky. For some reason the room above us was active, talking and moving about until 3:30 AM so the constant loud creaking and cracking of the floors kept us awake. To be clear: a bit of creaking can be charming, I live in an old house with hardwood floors, and am used to it. This was way beyond that. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, the bedside window could only be opened a crack, and no other ventilation or AC in the room, so it got hot and humid.

Menu in bar fairly basic. Wine was poor quality. Our room was next to main door so was quite noisy at times.

The hotel was a great location for walking around the city centre. The property itself was pleasant, clean and had everything we needed. The rooms were a good size. We were there on a Sunday and there was a public car park across the road for parking which was free. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Nothing. I had read the online reviews and, while I acknowledge the property was a bit tired, it was fine and clean.

Rooms very hot, requested a fan but didn’t work. All draft taps at the bar either off or not working, staff did advised before ordering but left selection very limited. Mattresses very hard and uncomfortable, Shower quite small, if over 6ft tall would struggle to shower comfortably. Floor boards very squeaky, room doors heavy and slammed very easily so could heard all neighbours entering and exiting rooms. Reception staff lovely!

The hotel rooms were filthy. It had stains on the curtains and walls. The bed and bath were covered in body hair ( not ours). And the room was covered in dust and cobwebs. It was so hot the room was like a furnace and there was no air-conditioning.

The staff were very good and helpful. The room was ok! It was great that the hotel was so near the centre of town. Plenty of car parking facility.

First of all the breakfast, there were no eggs left, the potato scones were hard, there was no milk situated at the proper facility. The bar downstairs had no coffee. There were no complimentary biscuits with the tea/coffee in the room.. The room itself needs a refresh with paint and the carpet was worn thin in parts.. For what we paid for our stay it could have been better.

We purchased drinks from bar and charged different amounts for same drinks. The room we were given was very dated. Bedside cabinet was missing.light next to bed was broke. Went down for breakfast at 9.45. Had to asked for bread for toast. When brought out had to slice it myself. Hot breakfast looked if had been out a long time .Not offered any alternative such as fried or poached eggs. Only scrambled which were disintegrated.Then coffee machine was not working had to ask for it to be refilled. Also had to ask for butter.Not suitable for disabled person. No lifts.Not value for money

Se nota bastante que no le han hecho una reforma en muchísimo tiempo. La pared tenía grietas que habían intentado tapar con masilla o pintura. Agujeros con tacos sin quitar en el baño, simplemente pasados con algo de pintura. El espejo con manchas negras, que tampoco cuesta tanto cambiarlo. Y la alcachofa de la ducha sin presión, que se notaba que no funcionaba correctamente, lo que hace ver el poco cuidado que le ponen. Tampoco están bien aisladas las habitaciones porque las vigas crujen muchísimo si en el piso superior alguien camina (yo no suelo despertarme por ruidos, pero esto fue muy difícil). Deberían revisar el número de estrellas del hotel porque no creo que se adecúe a las que tiene.

The room was dated. Threadbare carpet, cracked tiles in the shower and not very clean. The walls and ceilings are paper thin we could hear every noise from the corridor, the rooms at each side and above. Every movement, every flush of the toilets along with noise from other guests in the corridor made it impossible to sleep.

We have often stayed at Mercure. Our room was well presented and clean and we like the location to the city.

We had to pay an unexpected £7.00 parking fee when previously parking had been free. We had minor issues with the shower being difficult to turn off, though having informed them expect it will be quickly sorted. We only had a bedside cabinet for one side of double bed.

номер был хороший,но было очень душно:не было подставки удерживающей окно открытым,мы втолкнули подставку для чемодана-пошло немного воздуха,но вентилятор(мы попросили на стойке регистрации)не справлялся.....завтрак был исключительно обильным и вкусным!на букинге указано,что это отель с растораном-там не ресторан,а бар!

можно бы поставить кондиционер-в июле нет воздуха в номере!

Staff was pleasant and check-in easy. Room was clean and spacious enough, so was the bathroom. Wi-fi worked well. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. Access to buses and trains is easy (10 mins away).

Finding the entrance to the hotel was not obvious, maybe some better signs, but it was just a small issue.

Location is excellent, several eateries within about 10 minutes walk. Easy to get to by car from the south, not sure about from other directions. Help yourself breakfasts were good with a fairly reasonable choice.

Our ground floor room was close to hotel entrance. Late night noisy revellers outside kept us awake till well after midnight on one night. This was at least our third yearly visit to this hotel, still no grab handles in the bath to assist showering safely, having pointed this out each visit.

Check in I asked if i could leave my bag and the receptionist said just leave it over there ! I explained that i was not happy and was then offered to leave it behind the counter

We got an upgrade which was shocking a very dated room with stained lampshades chipped tiles in the bathroom and very dirty soap dish. There was no wi fi for our 2 night stay

Turned out to be a very expensive stay as I received a parking fine. I was misled by a member of staff on check in, into believing that parking immediately outside the hotel in the small car park was free; it wasn’t. To be fair it was quite busy when we checked in but nevertheless when I contacted the hotel upon receipt of my fine they were initially helpful but then just ignored my communications

We were in room 19 witch had a walk way and were wakend at4.30am with seagulls fighting and swauking over food containers that people were discarding at our window

Lage ist für ein Spaziergang in der Stadt perfekt. Das Hotel liegt relativ zentral und ruhig. Ein Parkplatz am Hotel ist gegen Gebühr zu erhalten. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, das Frühstück mehr als ausreichend, und vielfältig. Die Bar im Hotel sah super aus, wir haben sie aber nicht genutzt.

Very tired rooms. Housekeeping woke us up in the morning by knocking the door several times then entering. Not good value for money at £117 pee night with no breakfast. Not even a biscuit with the tea facilities.

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good apart from the bacon which was very fatty and not cooked as much as I like it but that's not a big compliant, the rest good and plenty of variety. The bar was nice and not too expensive.

The room floor was very noisy, maybe because it's an old building but I had to be carful not to wake her up when I went for my night time toilet visits. On the subject of the toilet it did seem old and the sink was cracked but it did the job, at least it was clean.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly during our short stay. The accommodation was clean.

The location isn't in the best part of town. The main carpet throughout needs a good clean. The furnishings were cheap and tacky but for one night it was fine.

Lovely old building, the staff were very freiendly, great location, lovely reception & bar area to telax in.

Air con would have made the room more comfortable. Although there was a good breakfast selection, the food was of moderate quality.
