The location of the hotel was good.

The room, although newly done up (there were still building materials in the corridor), was very small, the remote for the TV was missing (when we asked about this, we were told one would be located but this didn't happen) and we felt that the cooked breakfast was made using very cheap quality produce.

Great location, near train and bus station. Very clean comfortable rooms, modern bathroom, great shower. Exceptional housekeeping service, room serviced every day. Plenty of tea, coffee and water in room. Lovely cooked to order breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

The furniture (table and chair) was quite big for the room (small double). Made it a little awkward for moving around the room.

Easy to find the hotel, but parking out front is first come, first served. The owner let me have his space on the first night, but on the second we had to park elsewhere. Room was comfortably furnished.

Temperature control in the room was dreadful - the high tec thermostatically controlled radiators had a mind of their own and staff were unable to provide instructions. The room was uncomfortably hot as the radiators refused to turn off - they completely ignored the thermostat and only by spending a lot of time on Google did I find a solution, but the room was boiling hot by then and didn't cool down, even with the window (onto the main road) open. Also, being on holiday, the concept of a pre-booked breakfast is ok, but meant having to set an alarm to make sure we didn't miss our time slot. Helps the hotel management with knowing how many sausages etc they need to prepare, but not very customer focussed - the system seems to work for the hotel's convenience, not the customer's.

This was the second part of our three day stay and following a conversation with the staff, they moved us from the cell room, to a better room upstairs. It had good space and a bathroom that could be used. The Manager was helpful in making this happen.

Some of the decor is tired and needs refreshed.

L'hôtel n'est pas situé au meilleur endroit de la ville. Pour parvenir à notre chambre (la 6,)il fallait parcourir un dédale avec descente et montée d'escaliers - tout ceci étant malcommode quand on a une valise ! La literie a posé problème puisque dans l'un des lits le matelas s"effondrait d'un côté. La seule baie vitrée donnait sur une coursive étroite avec un bâtiment en face - donc pas possible d'ouvrir le rideau et pas possible de voir le ciel.

Good Nepalese restaurant within the hotel

Parking was difficult and ended up with having to move the car a couple of times. It would have been helpful to have had more information about parking before we got to the hotel.

Rooms basic , needs upgraded a little, cooked breakfast nothing special , need to buy better quality food . Sausage no taste. Bacon tasteless Beans swimming in very a thin sauce . Although I must admit a Continental breakfast looked a very good option as there was plenty choice there for one

The shower was amazing very relaxing, was great to have a mini bar in the room which I fully paid for in cash with the owner at the hotel bit it seems they have sent me the bill again? Which to be honest I totally ignored since it was maybe a mistake. Evening meals were good. Internet is great in the room I was.

Breakfast was not my thing there, cannot decide if it was worth it or not hence i haven't go for it on my second day.

The location was convenient for the city centre and to enable travel to other cities in the area.

Unfortunately the room we were put in for this one night was so small, it felt like a cell. The rear window view was of a large shed construction, which was about 4ft from the window. The bathroom room size was completely inadequate for the facilities. There was a loo, shower cubical and sink. When sitting on the loo, your knees were right against the door of the shower.

Wir hatten zwar unser spartanisches Zimmer im letzten Winkel des Hotels aber für eine Nacht war es durchaus passabel. Das Frühstück dagegen war sehr gut.

We liked the location - very convenient for reaching the Highlands. The restaurant was very good, serving tasty Nepalese cuisine. The staff were very friendly.

The room missed a few essential facilities: No hand soap in bathroom Shower was rather small No bathmat or anti slip mat The towel rail was not heated. When I asked about this I was told they don’t heat it in the summer months. Room was rather tatty with the headboard sitting at an angle. Breakfast only passable. Bacon and sausage were only just edible and the coffee machine kept running out. Poor selection of fruit.

It was the perfect combination of all the things that a great hotel should be and have.. Friendly staff, well appointed and clean rooms, a well stocked bar, a fantastic asian based restaurant, csr parking and an excellent breakfast.

Mi egy 3 ágyas szobában voltuk a legfelső, tetőtéri szinten, ahova labirintusszerűen jutottunk el. Lift nincs, a szűk folyosón pici, de annál vastagabb szőnyeggel borított lépcsőkön vonszoltuk fel a bőröndjeinket. Kihívás volt. A szoba bútorzata régi volt, kicsit állott szaggal.

The staff were friendly and helpful and happy polite had a nice breakfast and plenty of other food aswell to choose from .

The parking wasn't that good with it being on a main road and our room was at the back when we opened our curtains it looked straight onto storage huts .

Everything at this hotel was exceptional. The breakfast was very good and the staff could not have been more helpful. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food was Indian and was really good. We would definitely stay here again.

The only thing that was a little difficult was the parking as the hotel is located on a main road and there is a bus lane and double yellow lines immediately outside so getting into and out of the car park was a bit tricky.

staff were great, and the breakfast offering was very good.

Only one extra pillow for the double bed; the light in the room is broken; no biscuits or wine glasses on the side table. The grout on the bathroom floor is crumbling, leaving grit on the floor, which I stepped on. The front step of the hotel needs repair; I nearly twisted my ankle on it.

Very noisy from traffic and emergency services as window had big gap was closed but not fitted properly on stone outside!. Noisy at 1.15am from staff/owner accommodation above dropping heavy items on the floor above Marks on sheet,dirty window ledge, skirting boards and rusty bath plug hole 😒

Location was excellent, staff helpful, room comfortable. But of a maze to get to the room but felt safe and comfortable. Plenty supplies of tea and coffee in the room. Very clean linen and towels. Work in progress Breakfast was plentiful continental and pre ordered cooked which was delicious.

Decor is a work in progress , lots of differing wall coverings. Cleaning is a bit inconsistent, some areas super clean others not so much. Parking is very limited but managed to find a spot nearby..on the web site it says there is no food in the evening so we went for food before checking in only to be greeted with the most amazing smells from the kitchen. Only just back up and running so sad we missed out and check with the hotel before going to ensure all is still available. Bed was a little hard for my taste and could benefit from a topper , but slept OK

Friendly and extremely amenable staff. There was a sensible pre booking system for breakfast. The bathroom was spacious and equipped with a sophisticated walk in shower. Everything was clean and well presented.

The bed and chair filled the room to the extent that the bed was jammed against the window. There were no instructions for the digital shower which wasted a lot of water heating up. As advertised it is a fair walk with lugggage to the station and to the city centre.

Room was lovely and clean with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was a great start to the day. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Used this hotel a couple of times now. Love the welcome you get at the hotel, the rooms are always clean, restraunt which is Nepalese/indian is delicious and the breakfasts are more than adequate. The location is perfect for shopping or as a base for touring.

Near to station and staff/manager on the desk very informative and helpful with taxi's.

Breakfast quite basic and coffee not to my taste but it was OK. I later found I didn't tick some of the items on the list like eggs. Explained a lot.

The manager/owner looked after us so well with the parking and evening meal. Very polite staff and all very helpful. A pleasant stay so far from home.

Very friendly staff. The room we had was small but we were told that. But it was very quiet nobody bothered us .Never heard noise from passing traffic. And the breakfast was included in the price of the room very tasty.

Actually everything was good ,apart from maybe having a few hangers in the wardrobe. Couldnt get normal tv,there was prime tv,netflix. But everything was great.

Very dirty, dust on pictures in the corridor. Our first room had a kettle in the wardrobe no room on a table. The carpet had crumbs on it and there was a golf ball in a drawer from previous occupants. The room was very small and outdated. We were given another room which appeared ok but the bathroom was out dated and decor was poor quality. When my husband turned back the bed sheet to get in bed there was blood on the bottom sheet! He immediately took it to reception and was given a clean sheet for us to make the bed, appalling! Cooked breakfast was dehydrated! Had been cooked earlier in the morning. Bacon like leather, sausage poor quality.

So originally we booked for two nights with another two couples and then we extended it to three for ourselves. On arrival whilst reversing the car into a parking space the owner came out and checked what we were doing. I mentioned to him that we are checking in. I parked up. Went into the hotel and he was nowhere to be seen. I found him in the kitchen. He said “ I will be a couple of minutes as I am having my dinner”. A minute or so later he came to reception. After a little confusion he understood we were staying for three nights. He told us “ I have put you in a room at the side of your friends”. We got to the room (7)and we were gobsmacked. Bottom line it was shocking. The bed had been made. But the floor was dirty, it had not been hoovered. There were golf balls in the drawers from previous occupants. The wardrobe was a single MFI type Wardrobe with no door on it. It had a base unit on it and sat on that was the kettle. So basically you boiled the kettle in the wardrobe with your clothes in it. We were shocked. Bottom line the whole room looked knackered. We threw our clothes in the room and arranged to meet our friends in Perth. On the way out we saw the manager. My wife in no uncertain terms told him she was disappointed and very very upset. She told him she was not happy one bit. I told her we would leave a honest review. About five minutes after leaving the manager rang us and asked us to return to the hotel immediately . Which we Did. He told us “ I have another room for you, that room I have put you in, I am refurbishing it next week”. Straight away I thought “if you knew it was that bad why put us in it”. He took us to another room which was better. But again the bedroom looked tired. We chucked our things in the room and went out straight away. We met our friends and told them what had occurred. They told us they had been offered our second room ( 24) and had turned it down. We had a good night out and on our return we were talking to a group who had eaten at the hotel’s restaurant. They said the food was fantastic. We said we would all eat there on the Saturday night. Our four friends had a drink in the bar and we retired to bed very tired after a 300 mile drive to Perth. My wife jumped in bed and I pulled the sheets back a couple of minutes later. I was mortified to find at least a dozen drops of blood on the bed sheets, some of which had gone through to the mattress protector. Now this bit is only our thoughts but it looked like a lady had sat down on the sheets and basically “ flooded”. I got changed agin and took them down to the manager. And showed him and told him “the blood had come through to the mattress protector”. Whilst he disappeared I showed the sheets to my four pals as they asked what has gone off. They were gobsmacked. The couple who had turned down the room said “ they would have checked out. The manager returned and gave me a bed sheet but no mattress protector. Me and my wife changed the sheets. We flipped the mattress protector. We were absolutely speechless. In the morning I we checked the room. The bathroom quite frankly was dirty. People had put their electric toothbrushes on the window sill as they wouldn’t stand on the sink, there was marks all over. The shower was a waste of time.The decor was very 80’s and tired. The main bedroom. Flaking paint all over. The only place to put t shirts and shorts were the wardrobe. Only there was two pillows in there so I put them on the top of the wardrobe. It has not been polished clean In years. The pillows are now dirty with dust. At this point my wife had had enough she took loads of photos. None of them were complimentary. Our friends made the decision we were not eating there on the Saturday night. Quite frankly it was a shocking experience. It breaks my heart writing this as the owner seemed lovely but bottom line it was just not acceptable in any way shape or form.We paid over £350 for two nights in a double room and 1 night in a deluxe room and quite frankly it was disgusting. There was nothing deluxe about the whole stay. The breakfasts ( full English) in Scotland with no Haggis/ Lorne sausage quite frankly were disappointing, So much so we never bothered. On the first y I need som Nutella on my pancakes. The jar is empty so I left the lid off. Following day same again I left the lid s morning I left the lid off again. The odd thing is that some people do like there stays. You can see that in the guest book. But for how many people stay there, the responses are few and far between. I hope the photos come through to confirm our experience.

Un porte serviette qui se décroche du mur, la lampe au dessus du lavabo qui ne fonctionne pas dans la salle d'eau. Une lampe de chevet pour 3 lits. Un parking complet si on arrive à 18h00. On nous a libéré une place à condition d'être parti pour 8h00 le lendemain matin... Nous sommes partis à 9h00 comme prévu

Gutes Frühstück, tolle Lage. Riesen Badezimmer. Das Zimmer war genauso "klein" wie angegeben und erwartet.

Breakfast ordered at check-in, freshly cooked in the morning. Far better than a buffet. Friendly member of staff serving. The room's large bathroom was better than some 5-star hotels! Quite newly refurbished. Really impressed by the shower and shower over bath - both with digital temperature controls. Mirror with touch screen heat and light. Beautifully soft white towels. Comfortable bed and carpet looked new.

The room itself was not up to the standard of the bathroom - perhaps it is a work in progress? Mismatched furniture, oddly decorated, very old light fitting, roof badly stained. Odd net curtains hanging down below curtains. No mirror, but a wall clock which did not work above plenty sockets. A simple fix surely?

Have stayed at The Grampian Hotel on several occasions. Perfect location, lovely rooms and great breakfast.

That the windows aren't safety locked. If none of them are as standard, in that room it backs onto a flat ish roof, with other windows backing on as well. Doesn't feel that safe but I was with hubby. If on own I may have asked for a different room. But, the breakfast and room made up for this. Shame evening meals weren't available when we visited but plenty evening restaurants and very close to city centre. Lovely burger food at Bulldog Frog.
