Great welcome, staff at reception and bar very professional. Radio on in room on entry with tranquil music. Molton Brown brand in bathroom always loved. Lovely social spaces.

The room was on the 2nd floor (level 3) and the room and the bed was comfortable.

The room that was allotted to us was on level 3 (2nd floor) and there was no lift. Climbing narrow staircase was a bit difficult for my wife who has some pain in her right leg. Besides we were not allowed to check in before 4pm and the function for which we had driven from London was scheduled to start at 5pm. While check in was after 4pm, the check out was at 11am the next day. Therefore our stay for 1 night was a stay of 19 hours, 4pm to 11am and we found the room only charges bit steep for 19 hours. The Hotel must consider check in bit earlier say 1 pm if check out is to be 11am.

Great staff, room was very comfortable and the staff had decorated for a birthday which was great of them.

The atmosphere, staff and grounds were 10/10. The location is perfect as it’s so close to main attractions but tucked away so you get the best of both worlds

We had a charge added to our room, told to us at checkout. When this was disputed as we had neither added breakfast or ordered room service we were told this would be removed from the bill. When we checked after checkout the card had still been charged. If you’re told that a payment will not be taken then it is unacceptable that this is done after checkout.

A very special experience to complete our tour of Kent. Superb facilities and extensive grounds. We enjoyed a bar meal with a view of the gardens. Would love to return one day.

Lovely setting, close to Virginia Water and only 25 mins from Heathrow Airport. Friendly staff and plenty of parking.

A magical oasis. Lovely aircon room with everything you could need. Comfortable relaxing drawing room and bar. Terrace ideal for outside dining and evening drinks taking in the view of the immaculate grounds. Staff attentive but discrete - thank you Senita for looking after me so well. A truly relaxing stay.

Lovely historic property, very comfortable room and super friendly staff. Food was delicious for evening meal and we especially liked the young lad serving the meals with white gloves on - classic. The grounds are delightful - do take a wander, and very quiet set well back from the main road.

The bar and restaurant leading out onto the lawns was very nice especially in the summer months. We booked the Polo Suite which was very spacious and comfortable with french doors leading onto a terrace overlooking the gardens. The grounds provided a nice setting for a short walk after dinner. Restaurant staff were very proffessional and accommodating as were the bar staff.

The check in experience was poor. having not stayed the hotel before we were not aware that our room was at the top of some steep winding stairs. When the big American member of staff asked us if we needed help with our bags we declined but were unaware of the climb ahead of us. He knew very well what a climb we had ahead of us but I suspect looking at this physic that he didnt want to do it himself. Also, the guy checking us in was obviously new and it wasnt until a lot of searching and climbing stairs that we realised that he had put a room number on the key card holder that didnt exist and a suite name that also didnt exist. This amounted to a very unsatisfactory checkin/arrival at the hotel. Also one night the suite was not cleaned or serviced which for the rate we were paying was not great. Reception staff generally seemed to radiate apathy toward their work.

The location and architecture was wonderful. Beautiful decor and quality features. Dinner was lovely and food was not overpriced. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Overpriced breakfast and limited options. No spa facilities but priced like it does. Fans in room were ineffective in keeping the room cool.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff who couldn’t do enough for us. It has such a calm, relaxing feel from the moment you arrive, and although it feels like you’re tucked away in the countryside, it’s in a great location. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and it’s obvious that the team really care about making sure guests have a wonderful stay.

Poor coffee options in rooms. Love my early AM “Joe” and just wasn’t able to get my fix at the RBH. And “fitness room” very poor. Hotel should take over another room (larger !) and up their game in this area.,

Great setting and good facilities

We were in the Shoe Box and this was not comfortable. 3 flights of stairs no lift.

The location was great for my purposes. The hotel is in quiet environment. It’s a typical UK hotel with modern furniture and facilities in the rooms. The beds were super comfortable!!!

The room was excellent, especially as we were given a free upgrade to help celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was traditional English style, with a large selection of items to choose from.

Breakfast and dinner both very good in the dining room with views over the beautiful grounds.

The shower which had no instructions for use - full points for sleek, modern design and no points for ease of use - and no instructions either. The same problem with the radio.

Good location, good parking. Quite a good breakfast offering, service a bit slow. Good number of EV chargers available.

Kitchen closed too early at 9.00pm, should be 10pm for hot food in the lounge. No facilities to move luggage easily, no trolley etc all needs to be man handled. No lift to upper floors. £22 per person for breakfast is overcharging and ‘one size fits all’ mentality. The room charge is highest in area, so that much extra for breakfast is too much. £12 for cereal buffet and charge more for buffet and then cooked food. Reception and staff attitude was poor, treating guests with disdain. Had something delivered with my name and room number, and they lost it, and then denied receiving it until I supplied photographic proof of delivery. Wasted an hour trying to find it tucked in a drawer somewhere. Asked about EV charging facilities and rates, got the answer “nothing to do with us”! NOT TRUE! The facilities are on your property for the use of guests, it is to do with you! Learn about it so you can provide a good level of service to guests! The whole reception and staff attitude is to avoid providing good service to guests and not get their hands dirty. Then, telling me that I can’t come into the hotel to collect my luggage as ‘someone else’ has taken over the hotel. Now 2nd rate customer, and when I did come to collect my luggage I was told to stand outside in the rain whilst they brought it out! Not told this when I booked or upon arrival. I don’t spent £275 per night to be treated like that! I’ve stayed here several times and the whole experience has gone down to 3star with no quality.

The property is of a very high standard situated in lovely gardens. Although it feels out the way it’s only a few miles away from Ascot Racecourse which we needed for.

We had a room on 3rd floor with no lift. As we are in our late 70s, more thought should be given to room allocation.

Lovely hotel set in nice grounds, Reception staff were super accommodating and had our rooms ready early which was a big help. Bedrooms and pillows were really comfy.

Catering staff were quite slow with service even though no one else was around to serve and inexperienced in making cocktails etc for the lobby bar which I wouldn’t expect for this type of hotel.

Downstairs was lovely, breakfast and the bar were beautiful.

The room was a disappointment. The bathroom had dirty marks all over the wall, there was earthing wires hanging down on show, the over all finish of the decoration of the room was shabby. The room was incredibly hot, you couldn’t open the windows more then a few inches and even if you could there was constant bright lights outside.

Fab location, 5 minutes from the racecourse. Easy access parking, staff were so polite and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and the hotel Itself was very peaceful and calming! All decor/ furniture was classy, clean and exceptionally comfortable! This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and will definitely be back! Cannot fault the hotel one bit especially since new management have taken over!

Got a newly furnished room which was lovely but the shower was a mission to get going then only half of the shower head had water coming through not impressed prefer the more simpler shower controls Lots of people were struggling with it

The staff are what I loved most about this hotel. Very good at what they do, accommodating, friendly, willing to help etc. Excellent!

A few small things such as the phone to call reception couldn't be used until it was sufficiently charged. There was no thermostat in the room so had to call down for an additional space heater. But the staff could not have been more accommodating.

Lovely & tasty breakfast great sausages all food good quality. Our room was very light & airy, comfy big bed, bathroom & shower great. Shame TV didn’t appear to work. Very nice bar area. Staff friendly & helpful. Lovely setting & grounds, plenty of free parking.

Dinner was excellent

Saturday night our Room was next to two dogs who barked almost continually from 9:30 pm to gone 10:30 pm. Then when their owner returned there was a birthday party near us with a DJ that went on till 12. At breakfast Sunday we asked a waiter if there were vegetarian sausages, he never came back to us, but a different staff member on Monday morning managed to get some. We stated we would arrive between 4 and 5, but were told the room originally allocated to us was not ready so we ended up in the dog friendly area. Room 175 was dusty and under the toilet rim needed a good clean.

For a family room we didn’t have a fridge for babies milk or a kettle. This would have made our stay more comfortable as baby woke up in the night and didn’t want to risk giving her the milk that had been out all day. Just a small mini fridge in each room, especially family rooms would be ideal for items like this.

The hotel is a really lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds.
