Took 2O minutes to check in because of lousy systems. Charged an abominable amount of money to park our car overnight. Room was very standard for the price.

I enjoyed dealing with Tsigareta the front Desk teller . I give her a 5 star.

The bed was very comfortable.

There was only one vent in the suite so that the living area, when you first walk in the door, offered no ventilation and/or air. Even though we turned the temp down to 60 degrees, it never cooled off the front sitting area. Also, our first night, the water temperature for the shower was scalding hot, as though there was no cold water available. The second night we were able to turn the nozzle to the normal stations and get cold, warm and hot water.

It was in a great location near shops and restaurants and the Starbucks in the lobby was extremely convenient.

The room was dark and lacked overhead lighting. Even the bathroom lighting was dim, making it hard to effectively apply makeup. I had to Mcgyver a little mirror by the window in order to get ready.

Miguale was an amazing asset for my visit! He “cares” about the guests, which is in uncommon, but great quality in the hotel experience.

We have stayed there before. Love the convenience or being right across the street from the Metro Station. We did not eat there. Pricey. We also tried the diner near there on King street but was not impressed. The free trolley to the shops and waterfront sure make it convenient. Room was clean and updated. The Starbucks was not good at all, very unfriendly, short staffed and spent more time arguing with each other than taking care of customers. Front desk staff were amazing, friendly and helpful.

Sammy, a professional server in the restaurant, has greeted me each morning with his caring smile, exceptional hospitality and travel suggestions. I am in love with your beds, especially your pillows; such luxurious comfort is never taken for granted when traveling. Helping my daughter, Hailey, and her family move into their new home has been all things a move involves! I am thankful for the refuge/relaxation found here in the Hilton Alexandria Old Town. .

This was the worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. First, I ordered 2 double beds and received 1 king. There were no other rooms available so we had to request a roll away bed. But they gave us one computer breakfast for free (which we didn’t use). They told us parking was $10/day and were charged $29/day. Our room was disgusting. Lap shades broken, outlets didn’t work, dust everywhere, stains on the furniture, & the most uncomfortable beds. The lighting in the bathroom was awful. Only a mirror with lights around it and a few were out. The room had clearly been flooded at one point because the doors were busting at the bottom. My favorite, the duck down pillows on the bed were from 2018. They should be replaced ever 2-3 years. I expressed my grievances and all I got was “We’re sorry”. Nobody at the front desk seemed to be able to do anything. How disappointing. Will never be back to this location.

We chose the Hilton in Alexandria VA (Old Town) and it was amazing! It was our 28th wedding anniversary and Faliah and her staff were so friendly and the service was amazing! See the attached photo to see what was in our room when we checked in. It’s so worth coming to see customer service at its finest and being appreciated! Thank you Faliha and staff!!!

I just want to say how wonderful Everyone was at the Hilton Old Town-Ig was a stressful visit w my sister-visiting my sister in the rehab center-Soo I especially appreciated that everyone was soo nice and friendly-We especially Luved Said the fabulous bartender !! Our room and bathroom were spacious and extremely clean. The front desk checked in on us throughout the visit, asking if we needed anything. The location was perfect, as it is a quick walk across the street to the metro and the Amtrak station.

I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town. The location is outstanding—right in the heart of Old Town with easy access to King Street, restaurants, shops, and the Metro. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were quick and seamless, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Alexandria or the Washington, D.C. area.

The convenience to the Metro. Also, it is large enough to be secure, requires room key to ride the elevator to the higher floors. The staff is always great, that includes front desk and Said, the bartender.

The main complaint I would have is that I am partially disabled, I struggle to carry my own bags, and it would be helpful if there were a ramp in the front, or keep the door unlocked by the bar where there is a ramp. I have been staying at this property for about 10 years now and think it could use some updating.

Close to Amtrak and metro.

Not enough coffee in room and no microwave in the room.

The location to the metro station was great plus the nearness to downtown old Alexandria. That was a nice surprise to find that section of town to explore.

The beds were not comfortable for my boys and husband. The trash can in the main part of the room was the most ridiculous little odd shaped trash can I have ever seen. Impossible for a family of four. I don't even know how one person could really use it. I missed not having on site laundry for guest use. The exit on the parking garage at the road (after exiting the gate) is not made for anything bigger than a compact car (ie our full size truck). Clearly, we made it but it's a bit stressful to navigate. Also, better signage for exiting garage on the levels would be great. You can somewhat see sometimes but it is definitely hidden in multiple spots when it shouldn't be.

The rooms are clean, well laid out, and the service is friendly and welcoming. Olivia and Grey at the front desk were wonderful. I had the burger with salad for dinner and it was delicious. Special shout out to Chanell and Jules at Starbucks for the best sausage and egg sandwich and americano I’ve had in a very long time. Great way to start the day and great stay in the heart of Old Town! Highly recommend.

Friendly service with nice room at a convenient location. The front desk staff Olivia and Grey are very helpful and very welcoming. The hotel is about 20 to 25 mins walk to the river front area. If you don’t want to walk, there is free city operated trolley and bus that is next to the hotel to take you to the river front area. There is also a metro station next to the hotel that takes you to Washington DC. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again on our next trip.

I’m in Alexandria for work probably 15 times a year. I’ve always stayed down the street, but Olivia at the front desk here was SOOOO helpful when I needed a room on short notice that this is my new regular place to stay in town.

While the location is central to a walkable neighborhood of Alexandria and the metro station, the hotel itself is not up to par with other modern stays. The desk, cabinets, and nightstands were all covered in dust and marks prior to our stay, including a Duct Taped bottom third of the cabinet drawer that hid our barely functioning mini-fridge. The television and light fixtures are all antiquated: the television is on life support, and the plug-in lamps were all purchased pre-USB-era (be sure you bring your power bricks for all of your charging cables). The shower head has a rotating nozzle selector, and each nozzle is worse than the last as it sprays your eyes before getting your towels wet. The coffee maker is sub par as most hotels opt for Keurig-style one-cup systems. Not Hilton: they opt for a bastardized drip machine that dyes your boiling water a shade of brown only Fracking Runoff could match with not a milligram of caffeine to find. Overall, the best part of our stay at the Alexandria Old Town Hilton was the insulated windows which shielded us from the noises of the passing passenger trains; if only the thin curtains could block the light all the same. If staying in Old Town, there are many superior hotels in walking distance, and they should make up your First-through-Tenth options.

I appreciated our front desk clerk so much. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 am planning to check in and leave our suitcases with the front desk knowing that we were way too early for check in. Gry checked us in, assigned our double queen bed room, waived the early check in fee and gave us the keys to get in our room! Considering that I had to get up at 3:00 am that morning, it was such a blessing to get to go up to our room and rest until time to go meet our friend for lunch. Above and beyond. Thank you, Gry, and Fatima who was a pleasure to deal with upon check out! I would stay there again!

Limited choice breakfast was extremely expensive and cold. Room had no open view. Recommend you check with Booking about description of room sold through their site. It was misleading.

I stayed in the hotel for a few days and my experience was incredible. Specially with the people from the starbucks team. Jess was the barista who take cared of me, she was really kind and professional and she kept a positive attitude the whole time which made me to have a whole good experience.

Expected more for a Hilton in the DMV area for what I paid for it.

Greeted immediately with a smile, both Keah and Gray were welcoming and gracious. My friend and I arrived for one night, and as a Diamond member they immediately worked to get us in the best room possible. When we needed more items, they were equally generous with tending to our needs. The room is spacious and clean. Central location and easy to transportation. Highly recommend.

Great location near metro and Old Town restaurants with free trolley down to river. Restaurant on site was good and fairly priced. Staff friendly. Management needs to do better with cleanliness of room and upkeep of room hallways as wallpaper is peeling in hallways and room not cleaned properly. Room floors were not vacuumed/mopped. My son stepped on a rusted earring. Stains on couch and desk chair. Room lamp shades were cooked and most plugs did not work. Only requested maid service 1 day out of our 5 day stay and they did not clean/change sheets and threw clean towels on foyer table not even folded. Hilton standards definitely have gone down.

Location in Old Town Alexandria was nice. The hotel was well organized and clean. The breakfast was plain but good with very good service staff. Public transportation was great to downtown and Reagan airport!

The hotel is older and you could feel the age. I got my nose running after the first night, so some stuff in the air there.

The Hotel was VERY nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Very close to train station. Alot within walking distance to hotel. We chose this hotel because my friend and I both have a child with Autism that are crazy about trains and the hotel faces the Amtrak lines. I requested a room facing those tracks, the hotel accommodated us and the view was incredible. Our children were ecstatic. Best part of the trip.

First morning after I had to call front desk to get towels, bathmat, wash cloths and hand towels. It was delivered very quickly. The third day, we were out all day and came in late. Housekeeping did not come to our room at all. Only 2 small trash cans and we had a lot of trash. We were tired so we let it go and we were due to check out next day. No USB plugs in the room for charging phones.

The staff was very unhelpful. I booked two rooms one at a price that included breakfast for the four guest staying in the room. The names were listed under guest and not occupancy??? The front clerk saw that I paid 100 extra for this one room compared to the other room I rented and it also showed the four guest staying in that room and they refused to honor the free breakfast meal for all the guest staying in the room. I tried to explain but they absolutely refused to try and understand despite seeing the extra price paid and all the names listed for the room.

The room was dusty and rather dirty when we arrived. For the amount of money I spent on a room I was very disappointed. I’ve stay on king st probably ten weekends out of the year and this was my first time trying this Hilton and it will be the last.

This location is convenient and centrally located to many things to see and experience. There is a trolley to use to travel throughout the main parts of downtime. The hotel has an onsite Starbucks and restaurant. The only challenge we experienced was the room had not been thoroughly vacuumed, I almost stepped on a small hook and the foot of bed had a small plastic bag under the comforter.

My recent stay at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town was a complete nightmare. What began as a work trip ended with me discovering my room was infested with bed bugs. I have photographic proof of the insects on the bedding and multiple itchy and painful bites. The worst part, however, was not the bugs but the hotel’s management, specifically the General Manager, Sherry Cooper. When I first reported the bugs, the maintenance and front desk team confirmed the infestation. The management team immediately tried to deny it, backtracking on the maintenance report. When a pest control company was finally brought in, the hotel had obviously deep-cleaned the room and replaced the bed skirt before the inspection to hide the evidence. The general manager then used the 'negative' inspection report to claim I was lying. When I tried to speak to the maintenance staff who saw the bugs, the GM aggressively ordered them away and told me, "You are not allowed to talk to my employees." She also flat-out refused to provide me with an incident report. I was completely gaslit and was forced to pay for a new hotel room out of my own pocket, as they refused to refund my stay. This is not just a cleanliness issue; it is a profound ethical failure by management. They chose to hide the problem rather than resolve it effectively meaning that the infestation is not gone for good, just for now. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this hotel. I have reported them to the health department and am escalating this with their corporate office.

My room was clean, cozy, just perfect. The front desk was very respectful. I felt comfortable with the other guests inside of the hotel. I booked this place off of a recommendation and I would recommend the Hilton of Alexandria Virginia to others.

I just want to say for 2 weeks I stayed not all housekeeping is good but there is a housekeeper named praise she did a great job cleaning my room made my bed so tight and clean I said since I been here my room is cleaned properly & my moms bed looks like someone jumped on the bed me and my mom said “yea she did not clean this room someone else did “ this hotel needs to do better with cleanliness and dusting

I was going to be traveling into DC every day so chose the Hilton due to its proximity to the metro.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Only advise others that it’s a bit if a walk into the cool shops and restaurants. But there are 2 free trolleys.

I loved the rooms and the location. The check-in staff was friendly and very helpful when we reported an issue with our room. The check-in process, parking deck was a little confusing at first, but overall fine.

I was very disappointed in the price of the breakfast. We would've very much liked to have breakfast at the hotel, but $25 per person is kind of ridiculous when there is a diner right next door.

Unacceptable experience at Hilton Alexandria–Old Town. The first room was dusty with a peeling toilet seat, visible mold in the bathroom, and a loose shower fixture. I was moved, only to encounter more problems including no heat, a broken in-room phone, and a visibly dirty HVAC filter. These issues disrupted my schedule and raised serious cleanliness concerns. Management failed to take responsibility or resolve the situation. Even though I checked out the same day due to these conditions, I was still charged for two nights and denied a refund. This is far below Hilton standards and completely unacceptable. Please think twice before you book!! Even if something is wrong with your room, they will not give you a refund.

When we got to our room, the hallway and the room had a strong urine smell. I asked to be moved to a different room and the staff moved us without question. The next room was clean and didn't have a smell. Our first room was on the unsecured second floor. The other floors you need a room key to access the floor. The second room was on the fourth floor and was in much better shape. The staff came through for us and took care of us.

This hotel is very conveniently located across the street from the Metro and Amtrak stations. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have a nice breakfast buffet, improved since my stay here last year. I have two complaints. I was not recognized as a Hilton Honors silver member and had to ask for my two bottles of water. I requested a replacement Smartrip card be sent to me in care of the hotel. It was mailed by Metro five days before my arrival, yet I never received it.

Since we were staying seven nights, we upgraded (at a cost) to a corner room (Room 544). It was spacious, quiet, and had a nice view. But not once did we have a hot shower. We reported it three times and were told "engineering would have a look at it." It never got better nor did anyone report back to us. The desk said changing to a similar room would be difficult as "we are very busy this week." So we sucked it up. I took very quick showers in a mix of tepid and cold water, and my wife just splashed tepid water on herself. (By the way, we talked to another guest on the 5th floor who had the same issue.) Also, housekeeping missed servicing our room twice and the room clock was never changed to the correct time (which, for whatever reason, can only be done by the hotel). It's sad, because it's a good location, the food was good, and the lobby Starbucks is convenient, but the hotel clearly has infrastructure issues. Though we'll be returning to Alexandria this year, I doubt we will consider this property or the other Hilton properties nearby. As a longtime Honors member, I expected more: an apology, a discount, some points, something. But I've heard nothing and do not expect to.

I stayed here one night before departing from National airport. Though there are closer hotels in Crystal City, I think this place makes more sense in certain circumstances. It is literally a block from the Alexandria Amtrak station and the adjacent Metro station. It is a quick 10-ish min Metro ride to Regan National. So if you are coming in on Amtrak this makes more sense since it saves you a longer walk from Crystal City and/or a second metro ride from there. The front staff were excellent on both check in and check out. And they were able to handle my paying with multiple Amex cards to use up my Hilton credits. There are a few dining places near by and all in all for the price was a great stay. As a Diamond I was upgrade to a high level floor. I didn't take breakfast so no comment on that.

The toilet didn’t flush properly and it was running throughout my stay. The restaurant was pricey.

During my stay, the Hilton property did not fulfill several fundamental front desk and guest service responsibilities. Guest services were inadequate, as check-in and issue resolution were not handled with professionalism or tact. Reservation and administrative processes were mishandled, resulting in billing and payment concerns. Staff failed to provide accurate information regarding hotel services and did not offer appropriate assistance or guidance. There was a noticeable lack of system proficiency and adherence to Hilton brand standards, including poor communication, cleanliness oversight, and failure to follow proper procedures. Additionally, coordination between front desk staff, management, and other departments was ineffective, contributing to an overall negative guest experience.

The convenience and proximity to the metro.

Poor service. Upon check-in, nobody assisted us with the bags to the room. Also, we were charged $225 deposit, but once check out was done the concierge said it was only $75.
