Great location, new renovated facilities right on the lake. Dockside seating at sunset is spectacular.

Double queen room is very small, no breakfast, pool or facilities of any kind - nice hotel but value at the very high price is questionable.

Restaurant and lounge not open. This was very disappointing. The fact that there was no open restaurant and/or lounge noted on their website when you open up the page is not acceptable. The clerk at the desk had to scroll down to bottom of website page to locate this information for me. Parking lot needs to be repaired. Bottom of tubs is slippery. My sister sent in her review as she stayed in a room there at the same time as me. She forgot to mention slippery tubs, parking lot and the fact that there is no restaurant and/or lounge noted on website. Had the restaurant/lounge been open, I would have given a much higher score.

My room was nice. I’m assuming it was recently renovated. It’s a good location. I was able to walk to local restaurants in about 10 minutes.

Staff not prompt with check in or check out poor room service came 1 time in 2 days, no traveller info about Kenora at location on where to go and what to do At check out charged over half of 400 $ deposit for minor blood on one sheet.

The rooms were quite small. Which made sleeping tight as you’re right next to the wall and have an inch of room for you to get by to go to the washroom. Let’s stay in the middle of the night and the lack of outlet plugs. It’d be nice for there to be outlet plugs on both side sides of the bed.

After a long drive it 1) arriving at the hotel it is gorgeous 2) working elevators 3) gorgeous view 4) free water in the room 5) loved the Dyson hair dryer 6) loved your shower 7) free coffee down stairs but they are espresso sizes.

1) Finish renovating your restaurant, you have hungry guests who travel for hours and chose to stay in your extremely over priced hotel 2) toilet is so close to the door. Can’t wipe without hitting your head on the door 3)no Kcup machines in the room or the lobby for those of us who want a real full size cup of morning coffee 4) free breakfast not provided to the few of us who take advantage of finding cheaper deals for a $500.00 room for one night.

We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed, which we were relying on during our trip since my mother cannot travel far very easily. I understand that improvements were underway which happens to keep a building up to date, however there was no notice of this when booking, and yet we paid full rate still despite the inconvenience.

Front desk check in staff was very nice man.

The lobby is very bright and looks like it’s recently received a facelift. The staff was great, check in was easy and parking is well lit, easy to access and monitored 24hrs/day. Room is slightly smaller than I expected but everything appears very clean and new. The property looks even better in person than the pictures.

Restsurant closed for renovations. List of restaurants given but was told not much available on Monday/ Tuesday in Kenora. Brewery not on list but phoned and were open. Overpriced

Owner has invested a lot of money into this property. On our trip we have stayed in some tired or unexceptional hotels. That investment for a small town in Northern Ontario was a pleasant surprise,

temporarily there were no food/bar options

Everything! Super nice bilingual staff, pleasant modern decor, super clean! What a difference between today and our first stay 2017, when the hotel had obsolete, smelly furnishings and bathrooms...

The mattresses are a bit too soft for our liking. Nevertheless, we'll be back!

The room was beautiful and the staff were friendly and professional! The bed was very comfortable, and the view was peaceful! Check in and out were easy, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice place. I’d say likely the best in Kenora for sure. It’s all been renovated recently. The prices are a bit higher than others in the town but looking at all the others the Clarion is by far the winner

hotel is nice because its new. But the room is small for a family. Hotel room rate is sooo expensive for a small room. Everything inside the room (garbage bins, sink, microwave, space inside room is sooo minimal). Not worth the price, but staff are accomodating and nice. 3 star rating for the stay and rate.

The tv had no streaming, not a smart tv. The home button disabled. The tv that came in was all snowy and glitching. The drapes don’t go to floor so the room was bright at 6 am! The room smelled weird. The bathroom tiny. Have to have someone go check your room at checkout

Dining room and bar were closed, no mention in description. Hotel still charged full rate. Very disappointing.

On the positive side, the staff were friendly, though everything moved at a very relaxed pace, which matched the local lifestyle, so we didn’t expect super-fast service. The closed breakfast restaurant was not an issue, as there are plenty of places to eat nearby — you just need to step outside and walk a bit.

The hotel felt a bit overpriced for what it offered. The parking lot was broken and uneven, making it nearly impossible to roll a suitcase – it looked more like a construction site. The rooms were quite small. Coffee machine with complimentary coffee only produced cold coffee. And the carpet was smelly :(

Very nice property - location, comfort & views. Restaurant is currently (8.2025) closed for remodeling. This property needs a restaurant badly, especially breakfast as the town is lacking good breakfast restaurants.

The location by the lake is beautiful and the view from the room was very nice. The staff was polite and check-in went smoothly.

There was no breakfast provided because the restaurant was under renovation, but this was not mentioned in my reservation. For the price paid, the value felt too expensive considering the missing amenities.

The location was convenient for walking to the town centre. The room was quiet and our view from the 7th floor was great. I was happy that there were 4 pillows on the bed. The hotel staff were friendly.
