Stone House Kenora

The room was very nice and comfortable, additional supplies were really enriching the stay. Eg a kettle in addition to a coffee maker, real glasses and mugs. Also some cuttlery and a cutting board. The host was very welcoming, helpful and informative. In addition a light breakfast was available. I would highly recommend Kenora Stone House.

The showerhead could have been better but that is really, really minor and being picky.

Large Rooms ( we had 2), good quality bedding, nice bathroom, parking, close to lake, central location, easy access, greeting on arrival, home made cakes. Hosts were very pleasant and available if needed. Breakfast met our requirements with everything we wanted.

I did not like that the bed was against a wall. Rocking chair was very low, almost a child’s chair. Minor things!

Beautiful property with a great location! Beds were comfortable, seating was comfortable and they really thought of everything. The homemade cookies were a great surprise! We may or may not have eaten a few too many!

Stone House Kenora is a beautiful boutique B & B. Our stay was absolutely amazing and our accommodations exceeded our expectations. Rooms were so lovely and everything was provided. The hosts, Nicole & Nacho were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends.

Everything, this was the nicest lodging I have ever stayed at or work. It felt like I was at a spa. Nicole was so kind and friendly. The room was SPOTLESS. Towel was the softest and largest ever. Bed was clean and comfortable. I love this place and will be back as soon as I can. Thank you!!

I liked the extra touches that show the owners care like having a bath sheet instead of the small towels hotels usually have. And there was also utensils and dishware available in the room to use.

Breakfast was wonderful. Host was lovely, welcomed us upon arrival, and clearly enjoys spending time with her guests. BNB overall was incredibly charming, and a memorable stay. Would recommend to others.

Our room had a few bugs (fall, so likely to be expected in an old home like this), the small hole in the ceiling right above our bed would be good to patch up, and the water pressure in shower was sub-par.

A nice place in a beautiful house in the center of Kenora. My room was spacious and well equipped. The same was true for the bathroom. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Check-in was easy, and the room was so cute and perfect for a stay. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were very good. The host was so kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, conveniently located place to stay in downtown Kenora. The sunset view over the lake was breathtaking.

Phoned Nicole on arrival at address and had keys and a chat within 5 minutes. Very clean suite with comfortable beds. Very close to good restaurants local highlights. Streets were clean, well-lit and easy to get around to places of interest. We enjoyed two, sunny days in Kenora with Stone House as our home-base.

There was a little foot-traffic noise from floor above and the neighbourhood does have a number of street-people that appear in various locations. However, we had no interactions with them on our many walks and felt quite safe, overall. Police station was less than two blocks from Stone House which likely improves safety.

Great place great people

The hotel is an old brick house similar to many B&Bs (without the breakfast though). It is clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Netflix was included too. The location is in downtown Kenora with several restaurants and pubs nearby. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Breakfast was not included we knew this when we booked The location is great as it is easy walking distance to all aspects of downtown Kenora, restaurants ,museum ,waterfront.

Fantastic location with restaurants, coffee shop and the lakefront area all within a 3-5 minute walk. Spotlessly clean and bright with great lighting and natural light from windows. Great little kitchenette was convenient.

Seating options were awkward for eating for two people but we made do.

We were welcomed and showed to our suite.Nicole was very accommodating and helpful in everyway.Loved our room in how comfortable and quite it was.There was pods for the Keurig coffee machine and real cream in the fridge!!Nice touch!

The location is perfect! We dropped off our belongings during a very easy check in with Nicole and then spent the day checking out the town, shopping, eating and drinking. We were able to stop by the room throughout the day to drop off our purchases and rest when needed. Overall a wonderful experience.

Beautifully renovated property with a good amount of space. Hosts were over the top accommodating and helpful. Property was within walking distance to a number of dining options and to shopping and a museum. Great to be so central in the town. Felt that the cost of the property was pricier than other similar properties we have stayed in. Overall would recommend.

Highly recommend due to location, all restaurants, pubs, shops, harbour walkable … hosts and amenities are excellent! Will be back for sure!!

From start to our departure all was very good with one exception. The thermostat was set at 58 degrees. Not adjustable. We blocked the cold air inlets into our room and then it was fine.

Ein sehr nette Gastgeberin hat uns Empfänger, alles gezeigt und sogar erzählt was man on der Nähe unternehmen kann. Das.Apartment und sicher alle anderen im Haus sind sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet Alles sehr hochwertig, besonders die Bettwäsche. Kleine Küche mit Mikrowelle und Kaffee / Tee Zubehör. Das Haus war allerdings sehr hellhörig, wofür keiner was kann. In der Nacht war es sehr ruhig. Die Gegend ist ist auch gut, nah zum Hafen und ein paar Restaurants. Das Parken hinter dem Haus ist kostenlos.

Location was nice, right downtown. Near brewpub and the Hungry Pug (wonderful breakfasts). Nicole our host was right there to let us in. Large comfortable room, beautiful bathroom. Quiet and peaceful overnight. Would recommend!

Nicole, the host, was friendly, informative and super helpful - at some point in the afternoon I needed crazy glue, and she unexpectedly came through with some! The room was clean; had a well appointed kitchenette and a super comfy bed. The shared common room with brochures and snacks was a nice touch. The house is within a stone's throw of Shoppers Drug Mart and a plethora of restaurants. Don't miss out on this home away from home if Kenora is a stopping point on your journey.

Almost not worth mentioning, but there is no in-suite control of the temperature as the HVAC is centrally controlled. Having said that, the temperature I experienced was perfect.

Our host, Nicole was very welcoming. She gave us useful information on dining, sites and hiking trails. Stone House is very nicely renovated and our room was large with nice furnishings and bedding. If we have the opportunity we'll definitely stay again!

We appreciated being met by Nicole and given a run-through of the services and room features upon our arrival. It is a very well maintained and clean, cozy room with everything we needed. It was very quiet, and we felt comfortable (great bed and fridge, coffee, etc.) and we'd definitely recommend and return again! The host was wonderful at anticipating people's needs and there is effort and caring involved in how they run their business.

My husband and I booked the property last minute. I was impressed by Nicole’s communication skills from the get go. The vibe of the place is so homey and felt relaxed. Not like a hotel. She greeted us right away and gave a tour of the place. Our room was very clean and smelled fresh! The mattress was so comfortable, the shower had great pressure and temperature. I like the additions of the mini fridge and coffee maker as well. Everything was in excellent condition. My only feedback is there is a lot of homeless population in the area and back alleys. I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking alone in the night.

This property is right downtown with easy access to restaurants, shopping, waterfront, parks. The space is fully modernized and furnished with fridge, microwave, keurig, clean crisp linens, comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

This is definitely a gem in Kenora, the owner was very personable and greeted us in person as soon we arrived and showed us our room. The room itself was a great deal and very spacious and probably the comfiest bed my fiancé had slept on our entire trip! If i lives closer, i would recommend this place to my family and friends. I would definitely stay here again

This recently renovated hotel is right in the middle of Kenora and very close to some really good restaurants and shops. The owners were always present and available. I will book here again the next time that I stay in Kenora.

It was an expensive room, but quite nice. Nicolle was very nice and inviting to talk to.

Gold ***ing star. Don't second guess it, just stay at this one. Normally I stick to brand name hotels for quality assurance. I've been burned by small room rentals many times in the past. This one was top shelf and restored my faith. Keeps it up!

(Side note: check out nearby River Air float plane 30-min tour of Lake of the Woods - spectacular!) -Thoughtfully and tastefully prepared rooms with comfortable beds. -We arrived upon a very short notice after booking (our original accommodation made on another platform fell through and there were very limited options remaining in town due to the Kenora fires) and the hosts were quick to welcome us and to settle us in with reassuring ‘don’t worry , we’ll make it work’! Amazing hosts!

Fantastic Location, probably better than any other spot in the city, private parking, rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Was great for my business partner and i as we had the dual bedroom suite on the main level. Nacho and Nicole were one of the best hosts i have had, very welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with out stay. If i am back in Kenora this will be my first option!

I liked how on the ball the owners were to help me out even though I arrived late in the night. They look after this place and it was very cozy. I told my wife if we stayed in Kenora again for any reason that we should stay there. I was very happy with their guest Netflix on their smart TV. There was a mini fridge with drinks inside. Very posh looking presentation of little details such as folding the towels neatly etc. A real eye for detail! I’m easy to please but it was great. Bed was very comfy! And the blankets smelled very fresh and clean. Thank you!!
