Best Western St Catharines Hotel & Conference Centre

The clean fresh scent of linens and room, clean toilet, spacious room, spacious dining room area, indoor/outdoor pool.

Our room is 201 facing indoor pool so it is a little gloomy. Need more lighting.

Les oreillers sont trop mous pour moi. Mais ils peuvent être parfaits pour d'autres.

The restaurant was great. The 2 pools were great.

The facility was not the cleanest and the toilets were way too low for seniors and people with bad knees.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good.

We have stayed at the hotel at least three times. Loved staying in the "premier" rooms. Very quiet. Unfortunately the rooms really need a lot of updates. Wallpaper coming off the walls. Air conditioning cannot be controlled. Doesn't get cold enough. Shower heads definitely need changing. Where the floor meets the wall in the bathroom is very dirty.

Staff were friendly. Nice layout to hotel.

Room was not clean. Carpet was filthy and we raised the issue 3 times but the carpet was not properly cleaned. Our baby was black with dirt from.just crawling around in our room. It was awful.

Many amenities for use.

Older rooms could use a renovation that is more substantial especially the carpets which are just laid over cement. There was a hair dryer on the wall in washroom which we did not use but noticed in the morning had a smear of what looked like poo on its handle. This is very gross and unsanitary.

So much to do right at the hotel!

It was tough to keep the room humidity comfortable without running the a/c all the time. To be fair, it was a hot, humid weekend.

Staff was very friendly and location was great.

AC in room didn't work and was extremely loud all night making for an uncomfortable sleep for everyone, hotel wasn't very clean, shower water didn't drain very good in tub, indoor pool needs some ventilation very heavy chlorine smell. Don't feel like the photos of the hotel are accurate.

Good proximity to highway. Montana and Kelsey restaurant across the street. Breakfast was provided.

Ventilation available in the bathroom, room and building overall were inadequate. Facility unsuitable for anyone with smoke, scent, humidity or mould sensitivities. Staff were responsive, attentive and even apologetic at times. Complaints conveyed up to management were not really dealt with very well by latter. Range of dynamic pricing values (from 100 to 190 %) seems a bit unrealistic.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Please read and see photos. Not anything like the photos they posted. As we pulled up, it looked like a hotel from the 1960's, 1970'. The staff was excellent! Very polite, friendly, neat in appearance. Room atmosphere did not give a bright, clean impression. Ants at bathroom doorway. Microwave, TV, fridge, coffeemaker plugged into an outlet strip, then plugged into an extension cord that had multiple outlets with 2 lamps plugged into as well., the extension cord went around by the patio door (taped down with black electrical tape) to a multi plug outlet with 2 more lamps plugged in to it. Then plugged into a wall outlet. Breakfast was so so. There is room for improvement. Not everyone likes sausage for breakfast especially if it still looks raw. I Prefer bacon..

Les installations piscines sont vraiment désuètes et mal entretenues. L’eau de la piscine intérieure était opaques et très chaude. Les chaises à l’extérieur brisées et le sol de la piscine extérieur ne donne pas envie de se baigner.

The amenities were different and plentiful. A nice buffet breakfast was included in the Hotel fee.

The hallways are a bit shabby. The elevator is a relic but it works.

Lots of small aunts by the outdoor pool. Found a medication laying on the ground in our room, with small children.

Location and facilities.

The Breakfast was great, especially Saturday's Breakfast and the sausage patties. However, the sausages served Thursday were horrible and left an aftertaste.

Close to the highway. Easy to access. Lots of places to eat around.

The hotel is very dated and for the price I paid it was surprising. The wallpaper in our room was completely peeling off, bathroom ceiling had mould. We stayed on a ground floor room facing the pool and had someone banging on our patio door at 4am. Went to use the room phone in our room and it didn’t work. Had to use my cell phone to try and get through to the front desk using the 1800 number. Once I finally reached them they sent security quickly. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend based on that unsafe feeling.

The food

No comment, no complaints. It was all good other than I had to climb the stairs and walk such a distance to my room.

Room lock stopped working and we were stuck in the hall for an hour before they finally decided to give us a different room. Balcony was very run down and the railing gave us a splinter. Elevator was a scary ride. Toilet seat was loose. Breakfast was adequate but the coffee station only accommodates one person at a time. Not worth the price.

There was a buffet breakfast. Close to highway. Close to other restaurants and stores. There was a pool and exercise facilities.

The black out curtains do not shut out light on the sides of the patio door. Therefore, light in The room very early. They did not change up the breakfast the next day. It was the same items. The beds seem small.

Rooms/ hotel was clean. Shower / bathroom could be updated. Breakfast was decent with lots of selection. Pool and hot tub okay. Didn’t realize that it was open to the public as well/ members. Location is great. Tv was a bit blurry.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful

The hotel was unfortunately full of young children being allowed to run amok at all hours. The pool was basically unusable because of 10 or more children using it and screaming the pool area at all times, could be heard in the gym. Booked the hotel for the pool facilities and was then unable to use the pool.

The breakfast was good and breakfast serving staff were friendly

There was no balcony in our room as advertised. The children that were staying there from a hockey tournament were running and screaming down the halls to the early hours of the morning. You could not sleep. The bathroom counter was very low as you had to step into bathroom was a very strange set up. We told the front receptionist about the noise but nothing was done about it during our stay.

It's a constant hotel when I'm in the area. It's a go to pick for myself and when I have my kids.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location feels very much in the middle of high traffic areas. We didn't feel very secure on the first floor. When opening the drapes there was zero privacy to the busy area outside. At one point there was banging on our door late at night and a heavy smell of weed from people smoking next door. The renovations around the interior look nice, but the overall feel was very much a motel vibe. I don't see us booking here again.

Wish prices were lower but thats the economy and wish checkout times were longer without charging

Refused stay due to being a local resident. Cannot say anything kind.

I was denied accommodation solely because I am a local resident. I had booked the stay for personal respite as a mother of four profoundly autistic children and had prepaid in full. Upon arrival, I was informed that locals are not permitted to stay due to issues caused by “too many locals in the past,” and was told to “take it up with Booking.com” as it was “not their problem.” No attempt was made by staff to resolve the situation on site. Due to ongoing renovations, guests were required to enter through a bar. The parking lot contained broken glass, which I had to walk through to locate the entrance. The front desk staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the interaction. I even offered to pay a higher damage deposit to address their stated concerns, but was abruptly refused and told, “At least you don’t live far to return home.” I book hotel stays for respite regularly and have never experienced treatment like this. I ultimately stayed at another hotel in the Fallsview area without any issues. This experience was deeply disappointing and left me feeling judged and dismissed. I would not recommend this establishment, particularly to local residents.

Welcoming staff. Room was very comfortable.

Balcony, cozy and comfy rooms. Comfy bed and pillows. Gym and hottub/pool. Friendly staff and an amazing complimentary breakfast. And they also offered late check out. And bar on site was nice too.

Price was still a little higher than expected for the level of establishment. Website also said only 50$ deposit hut it was actually $250. Didn't Ike the constriction going on and taking over the main area.. and weight room shojdk be plenty later same with pool and hottub.

From start to finish the customer services was outstanding. Extremely accommodating when we called before arrival, friendly and organized at check-in, and highly attentive during our entire stay. My son also mentioned how well the breakfast was run, the great facilities, and very approachable staff members. Thank you for making our weekend a little bit easier with a comfortable home base.

There is gym there is restaurant and pool I didn't need to go outside.

Costumer staff wasn't really friendly specifically the lady in the desk inside the pool. Check in was good the supervisor helped me . She was really friendly. The server in the restaurant wasn't really friendly I asked her about quesadilla and she said what about that. Well when you go to the restaurant you spect she explain the menu not an answer like that. The attendant in the pool she was just talking with another guest I needed help to go to the gym she answered rushed explaining me . And she was the same way when I finished my workout in the gym. Terrible service.

Just a really great location, facilities and pleasant professional staff.

The breakfast was great the location was good we enjoyed the hit tub except for the fact that the big huge xhalj board they have in there almost took my husband's ties off when it came un screwed from the wall and fell we had to both jump out of the way.

We were very very disappointed with the service from the front desk guy. He was extremely rude and very judgemental. My husband asked why he had to take down the information off of his id because nobody has ever asked that before and they front desk guy got very agitated and asked us if we still wanted to stay or wanted our money back if we didn't like the fact he was taking down both of our ids. Then my husband walk around the corner to answer his phone and the desk guy thought my husband was taking to him and got very rude threatened to kick us out and then went to talk to the manager..when he came back he gave us our keys and we went to our room it was not very professional and we felt verybjudhed and uncomfortable for the rest of our stay

Loved the swimming pool, dry sauna, jacuzzi, fitness room, and even there was a wet sauna room for men. So I used all.

Наличие бассейна порадовало, так как один день из-за погоды мы с детьми вообще никуда не смогли поехать,то развлекались в бассейне и играли в автоматы для детей. Сытный и вкусный завтрак! Great location, close to shopping, Clifton hill, the falls, restaurants and bars. Myself, husband and 2 teens loved the hotel amenities; pool, gym, HOTTUB, arcade and pool tables! Our room provided everything we needed. Comfy beds, cleanliness, tv, microwave, fridge, and coffee ☕️ Our first ever Christmas trip away from home, and I’m so thankful we chose this hotel to spend our time. No complaints honestly, the lady who checked us in Christmas Eve made our whole experience flawless and perfect. She made us feel welcomed and cared for right away, which we didn’t experience with the other front desk staff.
