Greated when we arrived. Room was comfortable.

The room was clean and the stay was very friendly

The entire Inn smelled like cat litter.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice king-size bed. The parking was readily accessible. The staff member in the reception was super kind. The bathroom was just ok. The cleanliness mostly ok. The location is easily accessible from the highway.

The carpet could use a deep cleaning. The on-site restaurant was closed, which was a pity as there are practically no other food options in Blue River.

Bed was too soft and not as comfortable as expected. There was noise from the upper floor as well. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed as there are not many options available

Bodde här bara en natt och vi kom sent. Det pågick renovering efter vattenskada och det kändes som om det var blött på mattorna i rummet. Ingen frukost ingick men det fanns att köpa i närheten även om vi inte gjorde det. Rummet kändes rent och välstädat om än slitet. Priset för oss var helt okay för att bara sova en natt för att sen köra vidare nästa morgon.

Bode här bara en natt och har inget speciellt att klaga på

hotel was under renovation during our stay. power kept tripping, so we had to limit our appliance use: e.g. turn off ac when using the hair dryer/microwave

I was actually quite surprised to get a completely renovated room with really comfy beds. The hallways and lobby need work, but it’s coming along. We would stop here again.

Location was decent.

The hotel needs some freshening up. AC was quite loud. TV was old and had poor reception with cable. There was obvious signs of wear and tear on the walls. Room had a musty smell to it.

the location is very convenient if you want a half way point between Vancouver and Edmonton

the place needs a serious upgrade the t.v was fuzzy, basically you couldn't watch it and when you are travelling with a teenager that isn't a good thing, plus I would have liked to watch a couple of sporting events

Advertised as having a restaurant but it was permanently closed

The room seemed old and not well kept up. There were only 2 people on our side of the hotel and the other was put right beside us. At 6:45, he started his truck right outside our window and it was NOT pleasing at all. Then he left it running. It would have been nice if he was further away.

After our stay, the hotel called to ask for our credit card number and expiry date. That is BAD. We felt a tad confused by that but they didn't ask for the code so we gave them the info they wanted. Still, they should have had that down. They actually had a different credit card number at first. Does that mean our deposit would have gone to someone else's credit card had they not called. It's just shabby.

We emailed the hotel to ensure we had a non-smoking room. They emailed back saying the entire Hotel is non-smoking however, when we checked in and headed to our room, all you could smell was cigarette smoke throughout the entire hallways. So many people must be smoking in their rooms. Also, even though the rooms have been completely redone, ours had a strange smell that my wife detected. The hallways and the lighting systems in the hallways or disgusting? 1/2 of the front door was shattered. There are no food services available on site as what was there is permanently closed.

The location is great as a halfway point from our home to Vancouver. Great shower and water pressure.

The TV didn’t work. We talked to the staff and they give us a $10 gift card to Moxies… I will need to spend more money to get $10.00 off. Unfinished attempts at remodelling of the room. Electrical plugs for charging devices don’t work. Mattresses need to be replaced, sagging like a hammock.

Our car was parked and plugged in right outside our room. The beds were comfortable. The Grizzly Food Shack was nearby - great eatery

The bathroom plug for the bath was OLD rubber disintegrating... The television did NOT work The bar fridge did not have a freezer compartment - which I needed The electrical outlets were exposed and holes in the wall and ceiling around the light fixture. The carpet was shredding in spots NO restaurant? The A/C was noisy and old - not very secure in its placement

Clean simple room no netflix and bad american choices of television - couldn't get KNOW tv or CBC, beds were comfortable and easy to manage the temperate in the room. Front desk staff were very nice, sadley because I booked online I wasn't able to get my seniors discount...what a rip off

No seniors discount, lots of gravel in the room due to the parking lot, a lot of old debris from the restaurant near my room. looking junky and potentially a health and safety hazard for staff and could be a bear attractant

Good location right off the highway. The bed was comfy.

No deadbolt on the door. There is a security chain on the door (thankfully), our door had opened durning the night. When I spoke to the front desk her response was; “it was probably a wind gust”. Rooms could use a deep clean and some TLC.

Room was somewhat rundown with dirt in corners, chair was warn, baseboards were damaged and no freezer in the fridge. The rate was overpriced compared to similar motels in other communities On the positive side the shower was nice, bed linens nice and the heat was easy to adjust.

The room was really basic and looked different from the one advertised. The breakfast was terrible too. The price is too high for the quality you get. Serious upgrade needed in all areas of this hotel.

Restaurant staff was slow and uninterested. No pool, hot tub or work out equipment which I expect for that price category

Service and food in the restaurant were excellent, and staff very friendly, however the outward appearance of the hotel would fit in better in a slum. It is way overdue for updating. Room was clean and quiet but very few other guests were there probably because of the appearance.

It’s a convenient place if one is travelling and just need a bed. Room was clean, friendly staff. One minor detail is that the credit card charge for “”incidentals” takes to long to be released back to the card. It was supposed to be on the morning of check out, now 10 days later it’s still a pending charge.

In all honesty, I expected better for what I paid. There were some good things. The bedding and towels were clean. The shower worked nicely and the little sink area was convenient and cute. But the fan in the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been clean in years. The light fixture in the bathroom had dead bugs in it. The bathroom needs to be renovated. The bed was very uncomfortable. You good feel the springs from the mattress. It also didn’t look like the carpet was vacuumed. The tv was low quality as well. When I was checked in, the service was great. When I was checked out, I was barely spoken to and was not confident leaving that they had even checked me out properly. My overall opinion is it needs to be renovated and updated with higher cleaning standards. The bed and tv are extremely important when you are staying in a room and both were not good.

The room was just what we needed for overnight stop driving back from Banff to Vancouver via Jasper. The added bonus of the restaurant was great and the food was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and the only negative was the TV, which had a really poor reception and picture quality, which was surprising because the WiFi was good.

Rooms and the whole hotel BADLY need update. Corners of rooms need cleaning. Notice on parking lot says not to leave valuables in vehicles. We've had our vehicle almost 3 years and never heard our alarm - till 3 times in one night staying here. Have to assume someone was trying to get into it. Play it safe, people. Next time we would pay more to stay somewhere else.

Our first room was like a smoke pit - heavy smoke odour even though a 'non smoking' property. Smoking ash tray was 3 feet from the door. Moved to a 2nd room and it was, disgustingly dirty. Neither room was similar to the photos shown on Hotels.com, in any way. We did not stay and left to find another property. Extremely disappointing for a Sandman branded property.

First time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff were super friendly. We arrived early and only had to wait 5 min for us to get into a room. Had supper at the restaurant at was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was for a small place. The staff at the restaurant was also super friendly. I forgot my purse in the restaurant and our server had safely placed it behind the counter until we came back for it. The stay here was good.

Staff member at the front desk was very helpful The price did not reflect the quality of the room. I booked a kitchenette and was surprised to find that there was no dish soap although I went to the desk and was quickly given some. There was no sink stopper and I was told that none existed. The power in our room failed. A call to the office and it was restored. This hotel is not cleaned to my idea of cleanliness and the hotel seems to be deteriorating. Over priced!

Bathroom was very small, barhroom exhaust fan wasn't working,air conditioning unit stopped working in middle of night.property need renovation.

The rooms need a much needed upgrade. Steam-cleaning the carpets would be a start as our room smelled of cigarette smoke and the carpets were dirty. The extractor fan in the bathroom was so noisy that it was sure to bother the rooms around us.

Room was very comfortable and the onsite restaurant was clean and delicious, the server was very attentive and fast.

The staff in both the restaurant and the front desk are very friendly.

The rooms are very old and worn out, bathtub and bed especially. The room had filthy baseboards and dirt in the corners, the tub had that pink grime around the drain that could have easily been cleaned. The food at the restaurant is mediochre and menu relies on fried food. I have stayed at other Sandman hotels and this did not live up to the brand. Especially for the price.

The bed was clean and bathroom clean. Carpets were dirty with obvious spilt and dried (?) on it. Window sills dirty with no screen when opening to allow fresh air in. Wine bottle and beer cans on property near our room. Unkempt dumpster across from our room entrance. Battery operated smoke detector went off at 4:30 in the morning. Not a pace I would return to.

Exterior door and interior doors were scuffed and dirty around the handles. The entrance sidewalk to the room is missing concrete and untidy. The room had a musty smell.
