Dublin Skylon Hotel

The hotel was well located with good off street parking. Staff were very friendly. The restaurant was exceptional for both dinner and breakfast. Nice atmosphere

The rooms were far too hot and we were unable to adjust the temperature. This made for uncomfortable sleeping

The connection to the city center and to the airport is great with a bus or bolt. The room very clean. Comfortable, big enough for a family. Great pub across the street.

It was so hot in the room during the night and the temperature outside were only 24 °C. The window opens just a little and there is no AC.

Attention to detail. Clean. Most things catered for.

Nice lobby and staff were very friendly. Bar and grill had a fantastic menu and most of the food was very good. Seafood Chowder was amazing and the Lamb Shank was very tasty. Sea bass was suspect...see below. We didn't check out the rest of the amenities. Good size car parking lot with a 10 euro fee.

If you want A/C ensure you book a room with that option as not all rooms have it. Small room if you go the basic route. With two small suitcases and a twin arrangement, we had very little room to maneuver. You get what you pay for in Europe hotels. Getting to the airport was roughly 25-30 minutes with morning traffic. Two of us had Sea Bass dinner at the Bar and Grill and both of us had some GI distress over the night and into the day, one much worse than the other - This was the only common item that we ate the previous day.

Lokalizacja bardzo dobra, przystanek autobusowy obok hotelu- ok 30 min do centrum, sklep Lidl, restauracje- polecam tajska, jest pysznie . Hotel bardzo przyjemny, dobrze wyposażone pokoje, można wieczorem posiedzieć na dole i napić się kawy, winka, piwa itp, możliwość pozostawienia bagaży , uprzejmy personel, bardzo pomocna Pani manager w restauracji.

Śniadania typowo angielskie i nie wiedzieć czemu lekko przypalone tosty :-) wiec jak ktoś nie lubi tłusto zjeść z rana to słabo. Nietypowe serwowanie do stolików kawy i herbaty , nie ma napojów wystawionych , a czasami personel nie wyrabiał i na napoje trzeba było poczekać. Na plus jest to, że można zamówić omlet zamiast "szwedzkiego angielskiego stołu " i jest ciepły i smaczny ale nie chwalą się tym, trzeba pytać o poprosić i jest OK.

I appreciated them getting us a taxi so early in the morning. It was nice that the hotel was near the airport.

Very expensive because of Westlife concert- €260 a lot to pay for 1 night Noisy room- I forgot to request a quiet room- so was on 1st floor and could hear furniture moving noises after 2am

Good location to access Dublin City and the ferry port . Very polite and pleasant staff , clean , good car parking, good rooms , the restaurant was very good and the food was the best we had in two weeks of touring west and south Ireland.

Upgraded to a king but location of room put me right over the entrance and Main Street. I might as well have camped out in the parking lot. The noise level was awful! The AC only ran for 2 hours and would shut off.

Reception werevery unhelpful and not keen at all. Bar staff were decent though and same with man who brought up breakfast. Paid parking was unexpected and not ideal. Room was very stuffy with no AC.

Я впервые была в Дублине. Очень понравился и город и отель, в котором я остановилась. Удобное расположение. И к сыну в университет было легко дойти пешком за 20 минут и в центр прогуляться. Но если нужен транспорт- просто в 10 метрах от отеля автобусная остановка- и в аэропорт и в центр. Вообще очень удобное транспортное сообщение. 2,6 евро поездка - если наличными. А так - можно купить карту , скачать их приложение и пополнять через телефон. Тогда поездка будет дешевле. Рядышком , через дорогу просто великолепный ресторан азийской кухни- сходите , не пожалеете. Сами завтраки в отеле тоже хорошие. Можно наестся на полдня , особенно если брать белковую еду. Персонал очень приятный и вежливый. Время выселения разрешили продлить на 1 час. Не много, но остальные 1-2 часа приятно и уютно можно провести в лобби. И номера убирают прекрасно. Косметика очень качественная. Я очень довольна !

Excellent séjour au Skylon Hotel ! L’hôtel mérite pleinement ses quatre étoiles. C’est un établissement très spacieux, plein de charme et de caractère, avec de belles couleurs qui lui donnent une atmosphère chaleureuse et agréable. La chambre était très propre, confortable et particulièrement bien équipée. L’hôtel est également idéalement situé, à proximité du centre-ville, ce qui permet de profiter facilement de Dublin. Le seul petit point négatif est l’absence de salle de sport, qui aurait été un véritable plus pour un établissement de cette catégorie

We had a lovely large family room of a double bed and single, room was spotless, bright and airy. It even had a full work desk. The on site parking was the reason we picked it. Public areas and lobby were very well maintained and welcoming. You can tell they have a very good cleaning regime with attention to maintance at the same time. Supermarket, restaurants are right there, plus a bus stop, it’s also on the airport bus line.

The 3 ladies at reception were more interested in chatting to each other than being attentive to customers. Was not impressed with the restaurant food, but the staff were lovely.

Großzügige Zimmer, Bett war sehr bequem, Badezimmer mit Ritual Produkten. Ich hatte etwas im Safe liegen lassen und habe das ohne Probleme und innerhalb kurzer Zeit nach gesandt bekommen. Vielen lieben Dank dafür.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite, auf der auch nachts Verkehr war, den man etwas gehört hat. Dass könnte manche Leute stören.

Le personnel accueillant, la propreté des lieux et l’ambiance de l’hôtel plutôt sympa.

Le bruit, on entend les chambres voisines ainsi que la rue qui est très passante. Le parking est assez cher 10€ par jour et le breakfast a 18€ qui est vraiment pas génial, très peu de choix et les viennoiseries sont pas bonnes. Ça vaut pas le prix

Die Lage zum Flughafen war super. Der eigene Parkplatz vom Hotel war sehr bequem für uns mit dem Mietwagen also perfekt. Es war alles sauber und das Frühstück sehr reichhaltig. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

It was clean and comfortable. Room service was excellent and done without interrupting us. We welcomed the cardboard sign to indicate when our room could be serviced.

The main disadvantage was the absence of drawers to keep our clothes in. We had to live out of our suitcases. This was the only disadvantage in the room - otherwise everything was great!

Es war unfassbar war im Zimmer, weil das Fenster nur einen kleinen Spalt zu öffnen war. Der Ventilator hat da leider auch nicht geholfen. Aber das ist der einzige Kritikpunkt!

Didn’t have breakfast, but location was perfect for the BonJovi concert at Croke Park. We had arrived quite early due to our early flight, we were delighted to be given an early check -in. Aoife on reception was so friendly and professional. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Even though the hotel was very busy, they managed to fit us in for bar food which arrived quickly and was very tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.

The pillows were awful - too big and solid! I had to use towels in a pillow case the first night!
