Reception staff on checkin, throughout our stay and well as check out went out off their way to be helpful. They were excellent. All staff were fantastic- cleaning, kitchen, serving and game drivers. Everybody was very helpful and kind.

The game drive was excellent. The driver was well informed, ready to answer and friendly. The Boma dinner was a real african experience. The meals, the welcome drinks. Even the pots and cups used, all represented Africa. Please keep it up

Reception and Bookings staff could be more friendly. Double beds seemed small

Отличное место, в стоимость проживания входит завтрак и ужин в хорошем ресторане, и сафари либо во второй половине дня, либо рано утром. После чекина мы покатались сами по парку, а с утра уже заказали сафари. Отель находится внутри парка по сути, плюс если ты там останавливаешься на ночь или больше, то пермит в парк стоит 370 рандов (нас было трое + тачка), если просто заехать в парк, то 748 с человека + 168 тачка. Оплата только картой. Сначала заселяетесь, потом уже покупаете пермит.

O quarto é muito bonito e confortável. A comida tanto do café da manhã quanto do jantar inclusos eram muito boas. As pessoas no restaurante e no game-drive do safari foram muito gentis. A vista do quarto também é muito bonita.

O pré check-in foi bem difícil. A comunicação é muito lenta, e incompleta. As vezes respondiam parcialmente as perguntas e as vezes não respondiam nada. O atendimento na recepção e no agendamento não foi bom, pedimos sugestões de horário para o game-drive e não tivemos resposta, a pessoa só ficou esperando escolhermos um horário. Para dias muito frios não recomendamos, pois o quarto é muito grande e o aquecedor é pequeno, e havia uma parte de cima da janela que não fechava, impedindo o quarto de ficar bem aquecido.

Meals were excellent as were the game drives.

The guides on the drives were very good, but if you happened to be down the back of the truck it was impossible to hear what he is saying.

Location was good as we stayed at Sun City beforehand. Close for game drives. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the Boma dinner.

Hotel dentro do parque, contato próximo com a natureza. Adoramos os games drives, principalmente os da tarde, quando pudemos ver elefantes, girafas, leões, rinocerontes, muito próximos. Tudo depende de sorte e um pouco do guia, alguns são mais pacientes que outros. Por isso o ideal é fazer mais de um safari, em diferentes horários, porque pode nao se ver quase nada no primeiro, que foi o nosso caso. O hotel também tem um lago no centro, onde os elefantes vao beber agua, passeiam bem perto, vimos isso acontecer duas vezes. Macacos e outros animais também passeiam pelo hotel, muito legal. Café da manhã e jantar muito bons. Já estamos com saudade.

O ar condicionado era um pouco barulhento e a porta do banheiro estava um pouco emperrada, mas nada que atrapalhasse.

Die Lodge bietet alles, was es für einen Safari-Aufenthalt braucht! Sie liegt - umzäunt - mitten im Busch. Die Elefanten kommen ans nahgelegene Wasserloch, die GameDrives waren allesamt toll, wir hatten unzählige Tiersichtungen, die Guides sind sehr erfahren und erzählen viel zu den Tieren. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und komfortabel - alle mit Sicht aufs Wasserloch. Das Essen - egal ob Frühstück oder Abendessen - war ein Traum!!! Sehr lecker und ein riesengroßes Angebot! Und das Personal....!!! So freundlich und entzückend!!! Es war unsere erste Safari-Erfahrung und man hat uns gesagt, in anderen Lodges wären die Autos kleiner, sozusagen also weniger Massenbetrieb. Das hat uns aber nicht gestört! In unseren Autos war Platz für 22 Personen und wir haben uns bestens aufgehoben gefühlt! Ich kann die Bakubung-Lodge - gerade auch im Blick auf das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nur empfehlen!!

Os funcionários sáo rudes. O banheiro é pequeno. A comida é média, esperava uma comida melhor. Todo o dia era praticamente o mesmo buffet.

I loved everything about the property! Thank you for my lovely birthday present and our anniversary gift with such a wonderful note left by the GM. Every single person we interacted with at the lodge is just exceptional! They are so friendly and kind and professional and caring! Always smiling and willing to talk to us about how lives and share stories about theirs! The food was exceptional! The dinner buffets are nothing like I’ve ever seen anywhere in the world I have travelled to! Thank you thank you to all at Bakubung!

My wife and I enjoyed being in the bush and we had some good game sightings.

Disappointing at the price! Overall my wife and I enjoyed the weekend, but I must say I was expecting a more luxurious and personal experience, but it was little better than a timeshare resort churning guests through a machine. We went to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday, I messaged ahead to let the hotel know, and ask if there was anything they could do to enhance the experience for her, they acknowledged my message, but nothing at all was done about her birthday, not even a "happy birthday" when we checked in - Very disappointing. Whilst game viewing is always something special, the guides on the game vehicles barely interacted with the guests, and the etiquette on a sighting was not existent, with around 20 vehicles converging on a sighting at the same time, driving in front of tourist trying to take photos, and jostling for position like a Nigerian traffic jam - Very poor impression to give international guests. A good selection of food was presented for meals, but the quality left a lot to be desired; babotie that tasted more like bolognaise, ox tail that need another 1 or 2 hours of cooking and flavourless milk tart. The many foreign tourists at the resort must of had a very poor impression of South African cuisine.

Great location, good value for money for the space, game drives and half board option. Lovely views out to the park and elephants right by the lodge. Gym was functional and quiet. Space to run around the property. Food was plentiful and varied. The bbq night was also a great addition and not an added cost like most places. We did all the game drives and they were great !

Unglaublich schöne Gegend, Ruhe und Tierreichtum. Leckeres Essen, supernettes Personal und interessante GameDrives. Günstig ist es allerdings nicht. Aber lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

The place is beautiful Game drives were exceptional

Unfortunately, this was not the best experience due to an incident involving some of the staff. We were accidentally locked out of our room and it took quite a while to get assistance because the reception desk was unattended and the staff on duty were asleep. My main concern is that if there had been a genuine emergency, the lack of an immediate response could have had serious consequences. That said, I do appreciate that the staff involved acknowledged the incident and offered a sincere apology, which I accepted. I hope the hotel reviews its overnight reception procedures to ensure guests can access assistance promptly at all times.

Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed with a large bathroom. Food was varied and tasty. The dark curtains made it very easy to sleep late. The diningroom staff sang for my boyfriend's 60th birthday and he got cake (extra cost) for breakfast. The bush braai was excellent.

Diningroom was very noisy and busy at times. We also had noisy neighbours in the adjacent room late at night at times during our 5 day stay. The staff at the Bakubang boom gate were friendlier and more helpful than the Bakubang Reception staff. The game drive drivers spent more time racing around looking for lions than letting people enjoy the bush and the animals we saw. Some of the information they provided was incorrect including telling guests that there are rattlesnakes in the wild in South Africa. I don't think a game drive per day should be included in the rate, we only did 2 on our 5-day stay but had many excellent sightings when driving ourselves around.

The facilities and location are good. The meals were good especially the breakfast.

Communication about the Boma logistics was poor. We ended up being picked up late on Saturday to go the Boma because there were no vehicles and when we arrived at the Boma the staff told us that we were not on the list and grudgingly let us in despite me having arranged with the restaurant earlier in the day telling that we were having dinner at the Boma. I had also arranged with them to prepare a special Birthday treat for my husband which the Boma restaurant staff were not interested in serving. They were packing things away as we were still eating. Game drive rangers seemed to be in a hurry to finish the game drive especially on the 2nd day, Saturday morning.

É um hotel de alto padrão, extremamente confortável. A convivência com a natureza é o ponto alto e os safaris oferecidos pelo hotel são o ponto alto. Tivemos a experiência de participar de um Braai dentro do parque, com apresentações de dança e música locais e uma excelente comida, foi um momento espetacular da viagem. O quarto é extremamente espaçoso, tinha vista para a piscina e para o jardim, uma mesinha externa onde tomei um vinho com minhas amigas, proporcionando um momento super agradável. O banheiro também é amplo, com um chuveiro com ótima pressão e uma banheira para dar uma relaxada extra. Chegamos por meio de um carro alugado em Joanesburgo, tendo sido a maneira mais economica para o meu grupo de 4 pessoas. A estrada é tranquila, apesar de não ser toda duplicada e ter alguns buracos. A mão inglesa também é confusa, mas na estrada é mais simples que na cidade.

no adult pool. pool bar to small. no boma fires at all. you need to get boma fires burning at night with cushions and chairs. it’s the bush. get bush fires going.

The location to the park was good, the staff were good, the bed was comfortable, the food was good.

Initially the shower head was broken but they replaced it. The parking is poorly arranged.

Alimentação nós achamos sem gosto, tudo sem sal, podendo salgar a mesa, a comida do Boma foi a melhor dos dias de nossa hospedagem os funcionários da recepção não fazem muita questão de se comunicar, mas achamos um barman de Moçambique que nos ajudou em vários quesitos muito solícito. Os game Drive eram feitos dois no dia, um de madrugada e um no final da tarde até à noite, tivemos sorte e vimos 4 dos big five, tinha um motorista que não fazia muita questão em achar os bichinhos mas a maioria dos motoristas são bem esforçados já que não depende só deles, não temos certeza que os animais vão aparecer.Esquecemos alguns pertences no quarto e sugerimos deixar no aeroporto para pegarmos na volta de Cape Town, mas sem sucesso.

Boma dinner below expectations, game drive was exhausting at the back of a vehicle with less than optimal suspension, buzzing noise in room all night.

The location is the best at the park edge. Room was good good size. Resort surrounding was also nice. Dinner and breakfast was variety and tasty. Staff was friendly. Game drives in the package was the highlight.

We requested the rooms closed together but we got the rooms in different building. The water leak from the tap so we had to move to different room on the 2nd night. The new one was no problem.

The property was located right next to a Pilanesberg Park gate so was ideally located for entry into and out of the park. We stayed in the hotel. Each nights stay included a game drive into the park on one of their game vehicles. Essential as the park roads were full of potholes so unless you had a 4x4 vehicle I wouldn’t recommend doing a self drive through the park to view the animals. The stay included half board and the buffet breakfasts & dinners were amazing. Great choice of foods, which were continually refreshed. Great alfresco dining on an outdoor patio with a view of a waterhole within the Pilanesberg Park. It was lovely to take a leisurely breakfast and watch the game animals pass through. On the last evening we were treated to a herd of elephant that came to feed right at the boundary fence. Magical! The property also has a lovely pool area with loungers and pool bar. Other facilities include a children’s playground, 2 tennis courts and a spa. Great place to stay for families. We also did a walking safari within the park with one of their rangers, which was unforgettable. Their rangers have great knowledge and love for the animals.

The only negatives to our stay were some of the breakfast serving staff weren’t very efficient or friendly. The pudding selection wasn’t as good as the rest of the buffet.
