Stayed here for two nights to attend the Lewis Capaldi gig. The location was ideal
Woke up both mornings noise from the gym which was directly below us & on morning one from Boise that sounded like drilling & sawing! On the second morning it was like a water tank / boiler firing up. Spoke to reception when we were checking out who didn't seem interested they handed me a card with contact details to make a formal complaint. Complained that day got not response & again 2 weeks later & I still have no response almost a month later. Other customers were also complaining about the noise as we were leaving & on night one upon returning from the Trafford centre guests were complaining as the hotel had overbooked & there were no rooms available therefore guests were being moved to another hotel.
The hotel was very clean and modern. The room was comfortable and lovely bathroom with walk in shower
The doors to rooms slammed shut til early hours and started again after 6 am! I didn’t sleep more than 3 hours:(
The lady on the desk was helpful
1 towel in the room (room booked for 2 guests), room hot
Location
Ridiculous noise from exercise classes especially early in the morning
The staff were really friendly, loved the spa
The rooms are a little dark but it was ok as I know all village hotels seem to have dark rooms
Near the airport
I have been charged twice due to an error with their automated checkin systems and now the hotel is no longer replying. Under the instruction of their reception staff i have used the automated checkin and presented my card which charged me twice having already prepaid through booking.com
The cleansiness of the rooms. And staff are very friendly and welcoming.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like everything suited our needs.
The spa facilities and the proximity to Manchester
The pillows are awful. The bed wasn't comfortable. The breakfast was really poor, not a lot to pick from and the pastries where uncooked. The room for 2 people had 1 chocolate biscuit with the tea and coffee and that was the upgraded club room which we where told would cost £10 but it had a hidden £5 charge for the gym which was meant to be included in the club room.
Very close to the airport and the hotel staff were very friendly
The hotel was large and had lots of space / seating areas. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the beds were very comfortable. I paid £15 for a celebration package for my daughter’s birthday - it was okay (I think a little over priced for three balloons really) but I understand and appreciate the cost comes with asking the cleaners to sort it. The Starbucks cafe was a great addition!
The only thing that we can note is… The bar restaurant area was quite untidy and tables weren’t very clean. Food crumbs were on seats and under the table on both our evening meal and breakfast time. We also thought it was odd how the bathroom has no towel rails at all. Nowhere to hang a towel to dry or put a hand towel out for use after the toilet. We had been swimming and it would have been good to have a heated towel rail in the bathroom to dry off our swimwear.
1 towel. 1 toilet roll
Your ladies staff, Melissa and others were exceptional.. she was so helpful, so did the housekeeping lady on the second floor.. so pleasant and helpful
Wish could stay longer. Will definitely come again
great rooms, comfortable beds
the bar staff were quite rude and no service for a diet coke or food from 10.30-12
Nice bar
Cleanliness
Good location just off the M56
Being on the flight path to the airport not ideal
Room was quieter than noisy public areas.
'Ryanair' pricing strategy, with extra costs added for parking and breakfast, so final cost higher than expected. En suite bathrooms cramped, with basin plug not working. Noise level from wedding party on Saturday night unacceptable (loud pop music in Reception and eating areas painful and probably above safety levels for hearing damage). Food menu unimaginative.
Was not served early enough
Price of drink and food was appalling
Great hotel with facilities, just felt slightly overpriced.
Price felt a little steep. Quite loud, could hear the morning gym class from the room and planes could be heard.
Didn't have breakfast.
Bed uncomfortable, pillows are dreadful, lumpy & hard. Back & neck ached in the morning. Pillows stained & the actual quilt was heavily stained & was disgusting. The room had quite a lot of dust on the skirting boards & where the TV was & being an asthmatic with emphysemia that is not good. Price of food extortionate.
It was clean the staff were lovely and polite and the room was excellent!!
Location, staff, facilities. All excellent
Great location with amenitys on site and close to the city center. Beds were super comfty Room high spec
Nothing at all
staff were helpful
The room was disgusting upon arrival and smelled of cigarettes. They clearly knew, as the windows were open and the cleaner had left a fan in the room which was on upon our arrival.
Room spotless, bed v comfy and friendly helpful staff.
This hotel is close to the airport and the planes are noisy going overhead.
Very clean ,pool area was great
For us it was too close to the airport as very noisey
Clean, comfy beds , friendly staff
No hooks in bathroom for towels!
Second time here. Ideal for airport. So friendly when checking in. We loved the quirky features/branding which makes you stand out against rival companies.
Nothing
Everything was great, the hotel was very clean; the room was bright and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Good to have on-site parking.
Only gripe is that the service at the bar was very slow.
Room was clean and fresh but bedside tables would have made it better!!
Check-in lady was grumpy. No staff at all on checkout. Parking charge is not included in the room rate - which I thought ridiculous.
Family room was so spacious we loved it.
Meals were quite expensive.
Really nice place great bed
Very busy but to be expected
Lovely spacious room (club room) and comfortable bed. Shower was brilliant
Quite noisy outside but that is due to the hotel being over a flight path
The staff were so amazing and helpful so convenient to see family
Everything was great
Very. Good
Bed was comfy
Food service was terrible, took an hour to get food. Zumba class started at 8 am at full volume. Staff were very uninterested
Very comfy, very large bed. Good sized room. Clean room and bathroom (except toilet). Huge shower. Very friendly staff, welcoming and helpful.
Toilet looked dirty under the rim. The smell of fresh paint was overpowering and unpleasant. The fish and chips evening meal was expensive for the size of the fish - the fish was like a half portion it was so small. Also, my husband realised afterwards we had been overcharged as it was promoted as Fish n Chips Friday for £15, but we paid about £18 or £19. Also, only blinds but no voile/net so when my husband opened the blinds in the morning (undressed), he was shocked as he was looking out at ground floor onto car park and was 100% visible. He thought there would be privacy net. So we couldn't let natural light into the room. Also, there was a starbucks cup in the room with remnants of a drink. Not sure who left that in there after cleaning? We saw another room in the corridor had an empty starbucks cup left outside, so seems to be an issue of guests or staff leaving drinks around instead of using a bin. Speaking of bins, the plastic liners were the smallest, thinnest bin liners I have ever seen. Not very practical. And the loo roll was also the thinnest paper I have ever encountered. False economy. I would prefer to have wardrobe space in the room not just a few hooks.
Fresh, and clean
On a flight path, No reception, self check in and struggled to find staff
Pool
There was dust in bedroom dirt in sink no iron no condiments and I had to pay extra money even tho we had paid for club access
Leisure club
Was a bit noisy with the airport being close
Lovely clean rooms ideal location
The location and the vibe
Have no complaints I enjoyed it there and will book again.
Location
Noisy with aircraft noise
Very friendly staff.
We came to the hotel because we were going to a music event at Wythenshawe Park and gardens. The location was excellent, the property was clean and the staff were really helpful. The best bit for me was the bed, the mattress was so comfortable!
This is an excellent hotel with friendly staff who make you feel really welcome. The beds are extremely comfortable with fluffy mattress toppers and cloud like duvets. The pillows were perfect too . The pool exceeded my expectations being a lovely temperature. It’s clean and very user friendly. I will be coming back here .
There is nothing to not like .
Staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. Room was nice and spacious (club room). Everywhere was clean and tidy. Starbucks on site. Pool and gym facilities were good. 12pm Check Out was handy after our late night (Club Room).
It was very warm in the room - not that this can be changed and it wasn’t even the hottest it has been this summer.Looks like there used to be AC but there was no way of turning it on. Fan was provided in the room so this helped.
Excellent staff. Very friendly
Just 1 member of staff at the gym reception knew that we were new never told us were everything was. We found out after we went back out and another member told us.
The outside
Didn’t seem clean , dirty carpets , dirty lift .
The foyer, bar, and cafe area were nice and recently refurbished
The rooms have no air conditioning, meaning the window had to be open all night for the fan that was provided to circulate air. The hotel is directly on the flight path for Manchester airport and the planes were loud.
Location was close to manchester airport..staff were very helpful.
It was as expected clean convenient
No aircon just a fan so hot windows open but on the flight path
A known quantity in a location we know well
Under airport flight path; although this known, we didn’t know flights would go on through the night
Breakfast quality very poor, no air conditioning in very hot weather was shocking, very noisy with airplanes and having to keep the windows open
Gym and spa were great.
Rooms far to hot and only a small fan and staff wouldnt give another fan.
room, location, breakfast, staff and evening meal
honestly, it was better than I expected
Good location for my family visit
Basic room. Twin beds provided instead of a double. No Fridge in room or cold water facility on floor I stayed on. Very hot room due to weather conditions. Fan provided but not up to the task.
Location
No air con in rooms
Excellent welcome team. Great layout on ground floor. Restaurant service & food high standard
Totally inadequate for heat wave - windows restricted opening, fan provided insufficient needs air conditioning installation. Consider more drawer space
Location
Nothing
Location, room, comfort.
Paid nearly £100 for a meal for four, and it was poor. The eggs had been cooked until the yolk was solid and the gammon was dry and chewy. Pizza was good though.
Hyacynth cleaner front of house charlotte
V hot in room
Great properly , good staff and location
There was nothing not to like
Location of hotel and size of room
Extra charges for using the swim pool, restaurant / bar food much too expensive for the type and quality of food, staff too blaze with requests, I could go on..
Room was very comfortable with good facilities
The service in the restaurant was poor. Our food was delivered to another table at which one of the meals had been started before the mistake was noticed - the waiter proceeded to bring the same meal to us with a comment that he would replace the portion of chips as some had been eaten. He thought this was acceptable (even though the burger had been cut in half and sauce added!)
Good location
Noisey due to being on Manchester Airport flight path
The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean
I had informed the hotel we would be arriving between 9 and 10pm - we tried to order food after checking in at 21.32 and were told no food was available apart from crisps amd peanuts. The staff were unhelpful and disinterested! There has been an upgrade to the rooms apparently Family room had 2 beds. Only other furniture was a desk under the TV + 1 bedside cabinet and 1 swivel chair. Nowhere to put our case or sit comfortably. No water supplied No wardrobes - only hangers on a pole. Ironing board hung on the wall and iron was propped in the corner on the floor No light over the desk if anyone needed to work Bathroom cramped and only 1 hook for towels on the back of the door - BROKEN. Tiny vanity unit so nowhere for toilet bags etc Toilet rolls in inaccesible locations Towels took up all the free space on vanity unit. Vanity unit marked and scratched. The roller blind was very poorly cut and finished - bad workmanship whcih should have been checked No body lotion or other toiletires apart from shampoo and shower gel and hand wash I mentioned all these points as we left after 2 nights but have not had any feedback from the hotel. If it was a budget hotel some of these points would be acceptable but it isn't - we even had to pay for parking!!
Great leisure facilities,decent breakfast,decent bed.
Handy for the airport for an early flight the next day
No air conditioning in the rooms, it was an extremely hot night and couldn’t sleep due to the heat, ended up taking the quilts out of the duvet cover and just sleeping with the duvet over us
Found an illegal substance in the room
Found drug bag
Straightforward
Lift needs tidying up; no handrail / grab handle in shower; toilet low
The hotel is dated and we had to move rooms as we were in a disabled room 301 but had to move because a disabled person needed it.
Staff and bar
Lovely welcome, very comfortable bed
Noisy due to fan and blind banging on window frame
I stayed in two rooms, first was quite dark. Second was a club room - very good
Quite noisy
The full package
Nothing
Loved the spacious room, all the facilities.
Would have been great to have a drinks/snack machine. We were hungry when bar had closed and couldn't get anything to eat.
It was clean and comfortable. The staff were VERY helpful and attentive. The wedding room was weel presented. The wedding behind the scenes was conducted well despite the wedding coordinator being given the job last minute!
Noise from nearby rooms, the price of the drinks was extortionate. You can understand why people buy drinks from a supermarket and drink them in their rooms. It cost nearly £20 for a pint of coke and a large white wine... digusting.
The rooms were basic but comfortable - if you want an umpteen star romantic location then this may not be the ideal hotel for you, but if you (as I did) want a comfortable bed for the night, good washing facilities, friendly staff, and a tasty breakfast then you won’t go far wrong it. If I need to stay in Cheadle again I know exactly where to sleep.
The fact the toilet had been used and not flushed. Leaving poo in the toilet
Loved the staff all good , very helpful hard them find milk for room in evening though,if ran out in room, as no one on desk , swimming área excelente, best i ever seen , sauna cold pool steam also ,
Food wasnt good at all, ran out less choice this was like 5 pm , no prawns stuff, jackets to burnt then ran out , heard few people disapointed , frontvdesk needed cover more, foid expensive fir what was offered , paying extra things didnt make sence, simple things like jacket ,would been better ti just give one choice , not add on!! Looked very mean for nice looking place village is , tv needed 10 a leves finf chanels
Friendly and helpful staff.
seating area. Chair so poor it was uncomfortable. No private area for residents. Basic for the price.
No good so hot inside
Staff very friendly and helpful
No air con
Good location.Good service.
Perfekt
Alt det fly der flyve lige over hotellet
Convenient
Under the flight path for Manchester airport
Nice Staff,Clean & comfortable rooms - pool & hot tub ext… 10/10 loved it here nice getaway
Most staff excellent, great club room with really comfy bed and windows that actually opened, excellent leisure facilities with good pool supervision and clean changing rooms, plenty of parking, variety of communal seating in bar, restaurant and garden, handy Starbucks, only a short drive from park and ride.
Had to be moved from standard double room 108 due to noise of exercise classes on floor below, although staff offered us a free upgrade to a club room instead. No plug in sink and nowhere to hang wet towels, although room was generally excellent. One barman overlooked us 3 times in a row and served other people ahead of us even though we had clearly been waiting the longest. We didn’t book breakfast because it was poor value for money for those only wanting a light breakfast.
Location and facilities
Great facilities
No aircon it was so hot we couldn’t sleep
Location was close to the airport which is what we needed
Our room was uncomfortably hot with only a small fan blowing hot air around. Our room had no hot water meaning we couldn’t have a shower before we set off on a day travelling.
The Hotel is very well presented, Spotlessly clean. Bathroom was Excellent. Great restaurant/bar area. Really good size room. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of parking bays.
I did expect air conditioning in the rooms, we had a small fan and we were sweating right through the night. The location is good for people wanting the airport but I didn’t realise it was so close. The noise from the planes are very loud, so loud you can’t open a window as it sounds as though the planes are coming into the room. The planes did thankfully stop at midnight.
staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Good price for a value hotel
No shelf or hooks in the bathroom so nowhere to hang towels or put things! They need to put hooks up at least. We went when in the heatwave and it was SO hot in the rooms. Windows only open an inch so no air flow.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a fan in the room as the weather was very warm. The swimming pool was excellent. Starbucks in the hotel was a bonus. The food was very good in the bar.
Was average
No air con. One small fan provided to keep 2 people cool when one’s a 5ft7 side sleeping fan hog.
It was a nice clean hotel with a decent enough restaurant onsite.
Do not stay here in summer as no air con. They have cheap fans which give you no relief and it was unbearable through the night. One of our rooms didn’t even have a fan on arrival and we had to request it. My daughter felt extremely sick with how hot it was.
Location and good sports bar
Admittedly it was hot. No AC. Not able to fully open windows to get fresh air. Stifling heat and unable to sleep for the 2 nights. Reception staff not particularly attentive to needs and requests. Noisy but under the flight path which is understandable.
Stayed one night after a late flight, two adults & two kids. The staff member at the desk when we checked in was absolutely brilliant. We used the self service screen to check in and were assigned a room directly above the pub. It happened to be the England match and without us asking he automatically moved our room to a quieter part of the hotel, really kind act. The room was beautiful, very comfortable beds, great size, lovely bathroom with super soft towels. Absolutely loved all the song lyrics on the key card and toiletries.
Room really was great, nothing negative to say at all.
Location suitable for me.
Its not easy to access by telephone. Dont like AI reception. Should have property telephone number up front.
We were on the front of building very noisy rooms too hot i opened window and the blinds were tin on the inside and kept banging on the ledge
Noisy hotel blinds were bad kept banging we got no sleep at all terrible place never again
Breakffast was OK
1. The room was small and dark, even with all the lights on; we had to use torchlight to see our suitcase lock codes at the end of the room. 2. It was right under the airport flight path so we either had to open the window for fresh air and put up with the noise or close the window and put up with stuffiness. There was a fan but no air conditioning. 3. There was only one set of towels when we arrived so we had to ask for another set for the two of us. 4. There was no duvet, the hotel said because of the earlier hot weather, so we had to ask for one. 5. There was no running water when we arrived so we could not shower after a long journey. It was fixed by the next morning. 6. The room had an ugly outlook and the ambience of the hotel was not pleasant.
