When we got there, the staff at reception were rude n unwelcoming. There was an issue with our booking we had to wait for almost an hour for an issue to be resolved while i was tired from the driving. The dinner Thursday was bad. My pillowcovers were dirty. There was no kettle in my room 67 i needed to do a water bottle.

The room I slept in did not have extension plug to charge my phone and I had to borrow one from a friend who was also booked at the same hotel.

We stayed in the gray suie. The air conditioner is old and noisy. The bathroom could use wooden flooring. The shower door doesn’t close properly and there was no cold water in the shower. The refrigerator doesn’t work on there.

Reviewed Jan 15, 2026In general the food was not up to standard. Both dinner and breakfast. The buffet dinner on the night of the 19th May was terrible. In detail, the roast potatoes were cold and crispy and stale. The vegetables were overly cooked and cold. The chicken was badly cooked etc. A meal worth R375...this is too overpriced. Other patrons had similar complaints. I raised this with Joshua, the Manager, and to my surprise he made a comment that he does not eat the food from that restaurant. The response from him as a Manager when asked how he was going to address this was a giggle. Having been in Cadle Suit, I expected more from ANEW.
