Location , neat and tidy and buffet breakfast

The room is quite small for a family of 4 .

Worn down property , the Tata umbrella is loosing the service touch as well in many of their ventures, disappointing to see Taj loosing brand value.

Property is not maintained. Staff is bad. Facilities are worse.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is fantastic, with easy access to local attractions and public transportation.

However, I believe there’s room for improvement in the facilities. Some amenities felt outdated or not well-maintained, and a few basics that one would expect from a hotel of this level like multiple charging slots were missing With some upgrades and attention to detail in this area, this hotel could offer a much more comfortable and well-rounded stay. I hope to see improvements on my next visit!

this is an old rundown hotel

Personeel behandelt gasten zoals in een 5* hotel toebehoort. Mooie goed verzorgde gebouw. Goede keus van verschillende gerechten in restaurant incl Westerse keuken.

Veel te vochtig in de kamer. Ramen zijn niet voorzien van muskietennet.

“This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again, it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and my room was spotlessly clean

The hotel is very comfortable, clean, with good bedding, good pillows, and a good shower. But beyond these requirements, the staff is very professional and kind. We arrived late and hungry from the airport, and even though there were only ten minutes left before the restaurant's room service ended, they were super kind in attending to us. Furthermore, they arranged transportation to a beach we wanted to go to in a very professional manner and at a good price. And the breakfast is spectacular, mainly due to the friendliness and willingness of the staff to offer us the best of West Indian food. I am grateful and take away good memories of Calicut.

Good Location, cleanliness, and the ambiance

Few staffs in the restaurant, not all but few of them looks very sad, not happy about what they are doing

Great location, within easy walking distance of the beach. Comfortable and spacious room. Very helpful and friendly staff. The pool is very well maintained and a really good size for swimming

Je vais très souvent dans cet hôtel quand je viens à Calicut. Le personnel est adorable, les chambres agréables, la piscine agréable. Et super quartier près de la plage et près du centre à pieds

Le seul bémol c'est la cuisine room service qui n'est pas au niveau des autres Taj qui sont vraiment bons.

Property is old and not of really Taj Standards. Beds and lenins are full of bedbugs and AC ducts throw dust.

Our first trip to Kozhikode was made truly memorable by this wonderful hotel stay with my parents. The location was perfect—just a short walk from the beach and close to many of the city’s famous restaurants and attractions. The staff were incredibly polite, and the food was delicious. My mum and dad especially loved the authentic Kerala flavours at breakfast and dinner. The complimentary upgrade to a suite felt like such a special gift for my parents, and they enjoyed it thoroughly. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with a touch of Kerala’s traditional aesthetic, which I personally loved. Even though the hotel is older, as some reviews mention, it only added to its charm. This stay gave us beautiful family memories that we will cherish.

What could have been better were the poolside seats, which need improvement, and the minibar, which was empty. The continental breakfast options were also limited, with items such as sausages and bacon missing.

The service overall, the food and the location near the beach were the major plus points. This is an old school hotel and this showed in the decor and personalised service

The hotel is over 30 years old, and it shows. Certain areas were run down and shabby. I understand that the property is due to close for an extensive renovation

Washroom requires maintenance

Excellent property with nice location and helpful staff...This hotel may go into entire renovations in coming months as informed by staff....hope to return again then
