The rooms need a small carpet.

I love thatch and it was one of the main reasons for selecting this accommodation.

The staff is helpful and friendly (reception and bar). Comfortable room and facilities. Will book again but will use the self catering bungalows.

The dining experience was very disappointing for both supper and breakfast. In the evening there were no more than 15 people but the kitchen could not keep up with the service (and only 2 waiters) - we waited for more than an hour for our food. For breakfast it was better due to the buffet but staff (again only 2) could not clean and tidy tables as it was vacated etc causing delays.

Location and setting

The room is not what I expected. It was uncomfortable and small. I expected more for a King Room. I expected a bath and not a shower. We had no cupboards to pack our things. Our clothes and suitcases were on the floor and nowhere to pack. We asked to be moved after the first night. The bed in the first King room was broken...

It was in close proximity of all the places on our list, restaurants etc.

In addition, the shower water was ice cold despite me contacting reception to report the issue. Yes, I called after 6pm but the response I received was that I should have reported it earlier so that it could have been attended to during the day....making me feel I was the wrong one, meanwhile, it should have been checked before we booked in... This response reflected a lack of understanding of basic hospitality and customer care. The gas tap apparently was still closed. After the issue was reported, someone came to inspect the problem, but in the process, muddy footprints were left on the bathroom towel. Unfortunately, the reception did not offer any explanation or apology regarding this incident.

Very quiet location and peaceful surroundings.

The main bar closes at 1000 p.m. No other outlet for later in the day drinks. Our friends' room wasn't cleaned very well, the floor was grubby and dirty if walking on with bare feet.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was awesome and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. It was also extremely well equipped, and we wanted for nothing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the dinner we had was great.

Our only complaint was regarding the dinner payment. We paid by card on completion of the meal, and when we checked out the next morning, the payment had not been credited, and appeared as an outstanding amount. The staff member we dealt with quickly sorted it out, but the process should have been completed as soon as payment had been made. The same situation occurred to the friends we were eating dinner with.

Safe wasn't working

It was really fun to stay in the little round houses. They were well maintained and comfortable - everything I would expect from a Marriott property. It’s well located on the edge of town with tons of parking and easy access to the highways. The pool area was very nice and the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good!

Smerig, geen goede schoonmaak. Speeltoestellen kapot, Viezigheid buiten voor de deur, sigaretten peuken.

The location was great, the staff really helpful and the man hotel building, lovely.

The to gavel we stayed in was not great. The accommodations were dated and the shower had mould and was dirty. Despite asking the staff to clean it, it remained in that state, even after it was cleaned. The kettle leaked terribly and thereby made a mess of the floor. For the price I was paying, I expected better.

Von 10 Unterkünften in Südafrika war dies die Schlechteste. Insbesondere das Bad ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück war auch nicht wirklich gut, vor allem konnte man aufgrund der Rauchentwicklung an der Omlettestation nicht drinnen sitzen.

Nice set up with terraces/patios on the rooms. Good to have a bbq, but it was lacking in equipment, etc to use it. Ample parking. Decent WiFi.

The rooms were quite dated, and you could tell that things are aging. The pool looked very unclean so put us off using it. While staff were friendly, they weren’t very available on several occasions when we wanted to ask things, get lunch, order room service, etc. The bbq/kitchen didn’t really have enough cutlery/utensils, etc.

Lovely peaceful environment with a well-maintained pool area and gardens in general. All staff were friendly and helpful without exception.

The room is compact and fine for one night but would request a larger room for longer stay.

Water pressure was very low. No indication that they are busy with renovations.

We were upgraded to 2 chalets due to noisy construction taking place close to our unit.

The upgrade only took place after 2 nights during our stay of 3 nights.
