Good location, located in the center of city. Close to bus station, railway station and shopping mall Room is big and clean. Bed is comfy and AC is freezing. A lot of parking slot. Price is affordable compare with the same of other 4 start hotel.

Breakfast, standard 4 start hotel. Nothing special. This is the old hotel, some decoration such as elevator need to be refurbished. Only one elevator is working. The glass partition in the bathroom need to be cleaned. There are a lot of water spot/glass mold/glass fungus.

Pertama dapat di lantai 2, ternyata koridor dan kamarnya bau rokok, mungkin memang untuk smoking room. Ketika kembali ke recepcionist, dengan cepat staff mencarikan kamar lain di lt 6 yang bersih dan bebas bau rokok. Terima kasih Novotel. Lokasi yang strategis dekat kemana-mana dan pelayanan yang baik membawa kami tetap menginap di sini ketika di solo

The hotel rooms and facilities looked old, the bathroom, elevators, facilities in the gym needed to be refurbished. The taste of food and variety for breakfast was just okay

I like how the hotel feel very cozy from the lobby to the hallway and to the room. The bed was very cosy and clean. I love how the hotel doesn't serve water in plastic bottles anymore and placing many water coolers in various spots. I think the best was the customer service, there was a mistake in the system that I couldn't get the family room I booked, but the staff quickly fix the problem by giving me another room and make sure I get what I paid for: this makes me feel very valued as a guest.

Altbacken, in die Jahre gekommen, Zustellbett wurde trotz zwei Bitten nicht geliefert, Abendessen schlechter Qualität, Frühstück sehr mäßig, Pool ok, wird mit benachbartem Ibis Hotel und externer Schwimmschule geteilt. Die Kinder fanden das Kinderparadies super

Novotel qui ne tient pas ses promesses, il manque de modernité,il était sûrement bien il y à 10 ans...le buffet de petit déjeuner n'est pas très appétissant,la salle de bain pas moderne. Les toilettes de l'accueil ne fonctionnaient pas bien et robinetterie cassée. Le linge de lit est taché, Bref cela ne correspondait pas aux standards d'un Novotel.

Lacked hanging space for wet swimming clothes in bathroom.

I stayed in family room on 8th floor. The room cleanliness was a bit questionable. The floor was uneven and carpet has seen better days (bit sticky too!). Water tank was under maintenance so water could be in off color (green). Asked for laundry bag and inside had whitish residue that I just immediately didn’t dare to use it. Shower mat wasn’t replaced with a new one despite it was wet and just flipped over. Sink was leaking. Trash can was rusted and dinged badly. It’s supposed to be a 4-star hotel but maintenance and cleanliness made me doubtful that it could still be considered a 4-star. A 2.5 is more likely. Oh breakfast too… fried rice was literally rice being fried on a pan without eggs or even meat. They will only add sliced chilis to make it “spicy”. Honestly, this was my first experience staying in a Novotel chain and it made me want to avoid the chain for good.

Always stay at this hotel when in Jogja. Never had a problem with anything.

Breakfasts as our package deal was poorly served. Venue was meshy. Uncleaned utensils & many served foods (when empty) were inadequately & untimely added. Fair quality & taste of foods. No excuse for short of employees during Eid holiday. It's far behind my expectation. Cups of welcome drink (in front of receptionist desk) inappropriately served, smell oily & fishy.

The towels are old and not clean. It took a lot of time for water to get hot and the water flow from shower was also very slow.

Amenities can be improved. One bottle of water per day is not sufficient. Pressure of hot/cold water of shower is interchanging. Couch is not comfortable.

the drinking water system needs improvement, having to call the operator for more water with waiting time of 5 minutes is not great, the water jug was also very small, so i had to keep calling the staff back and forth and eventually gave up and buy my own water from indomart (which is quite far and i had to walk those miles with 7,5 liters of water) not ideal situation, please improve, and also i had allergies acting up due to the central AC, kindly do checkings

1. Staff are exceptional wonderful, accomodating and polite - especially in the restaurant & the bar - Angel & her restaurant manager they're absolutely great - will come again to the Novotel Hotel. 2. Location is right in central of Solo 3. Breakfast offers varieties meals

1. Outdated bathroom with strong sewage smell & damped smell in the bathroom 2. Coffee machine without coffee pods - need to ask the hotel for the coffee pods - better dont put coffee machine 3. No iron & board provided 4. No wine by the glass has to buy the whole bottle of wine.

The vibes of Central Java or uniqueness from Solo, the location is quite strategic, and the taste of the food are incredible

On the first day, the door of our bathroom in the room couldn't be closed ; but after calling the customer service they fixed it right away

We order 4 non smoking rooms and 2 double bed for each room. Once we got there they give us 4 smoking room and 1 queen bed on each room. If the hotel doesn't have non smoking room available at the first place, why on the website show available. It's a SCAM, we have minor traveling with us and the room still smell cigarette even after they do the treatment. The fourcet on the sink is shaky. The front desk is awfull, don't know what they doing.

Very friendly staff that make you feel at home. Especially the staff in the restaurant and reception.

Breakfast was brilliant, and I tried the dinner for the first time. Compared to Jakarta, the price/cost is much more competitive. There was also live music, which is cordial for a light beer under the moon, next to the swimming pool, and to enjoy the evening breeze.

The entire hotel is considered one of the oldest hotels in Solo. Despite always trying to reinvent/refurbish itself, some of the rooms probably need a repaint. I would also think that the room (at least the one I stayed in, Room 511) can do away with the carpet for hygiene purposes.

I would have given an excellent rating except when we arrived after a 7 hour train ride we were given a smoking room that was dirty and run down. Fortunately I showed them our request for non-smoking and they moved us. These little things matter when navigating a foreign country.
