Rodd Miramichi

Loved the super clean room. The staff that greeted us were friendly & knowledgeable. The pool was beautiful & clean with a great view of the river. Restaurant on location was super convenient & great food. Also loved the sliding doors in the king room. So you can sit outside & look at the river. Comfy bed and black out curtains and so quiet. Best sleep ever They also had e bikes to rent ! We will be back. 5 stars all the way ✨️

La camera al primo piano ha la vista sulla passeggiata pubblica del lungo lago. Per. Ho la privacy non esiste. Bisogna per forza tenere le tende chiuse se non si vogliono sguardi indiscreti. Entrambe le camere avevano odore di fumo di sigarette (nonostante fossero non fumatori).

Idéalement situé au bord de la rivière d’où nous avons vu un magnifique couché de soleil. Les fenêtres de la piscine donnent aussi sur la rivière, c’est superbe. La chambre était grande, propre et calme.

The Rodd is a great place to stay, either for business or vacation. Front desk staff (Vanessa) is always so friendly and professional. If you have the chance visit the restaurant too, overlooking the water.

We stayed here during a New Brunswick road trip. The hotel was lovely with a fabulous setting and we received a warm welcome from the friendly reception staff. Our room was big, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel has a restaurant, the 1809, which I would recommend. One thing to bear in mind, if you’re from out of town, is that Miramichi is two settlements - the business district (Chatham, where the hotel is) and downtown (Newcastle) which are a good distance apart, at least a half hour drive, especially at the moment as the main bridge across the river is closed. My only criticism of the Rodd is that it’s pricey for what it is, especially as breakfast is not included.

This is a first class Hotel in an excellent location. Highly recommendable on every level including the restaurant. Friendly well trained staff.

I’ve always enjoyed my stays at the Rodd Hotel in Miramichi, which is why this experience was so disappointing. My friend and I stayed in Room 105, and the smell coming from the bathroom was overwhelming. It had a very strong odour of old urine, to the point that I was genuinely gagging whenever I went into the bathroom. When we brought the issue to the front desk, the employee’s response was equally disappointing. He was very dismissive of our concerns. He avoided making eye contact, barely responded to us, and when he did, it was only with a simple “mhmm.” There was no apology, concern, or effort to address the issue, which made us feel like our concerns weren’t being taken seriously. I’ve always had positive experiences here in the past, so I hope this was an isolated incident. However, both the condition of the room and the customer service during this stay were well below what I’ve come to expect.

The Hotel was beautiful the view beautiful. I was relaxed and completely enjoyed my stay. I went for breakfast with my son pricing was fair but I was a little disappointed when I got my French toast and one very small piece of watermelon. the syrup was very runny no whip cream and powered sugar. The French toast did taste good.

This hotel is quite pleasant and welcomes pets, offering a prime location directly by the river. The sunset views from the restaurant and patio are absolutely stunning. The on-site restaurant, 1809, is highly commendable, and its staff is exceptionally competent and performs their duties admirably. In terms of pricing, both dinner and breakfast offer good value. The beds are genuinely comfortable and rooms are notably spacious.

Mooi gelegen hotel (zicht op de rivier) in Miramichi. Vriendelijk onthaal, mogelijkheid tot ontbijt in hotel of in de buurt. Mooie en ruime kamer, goede bedden, verzorgde badkamer. Goed en aangenaam verwarmd zwembad en afzonderlijke whirlpool. Mooie omgeving (bezoek aan park Kouchibougeac op 35 min).

Asked for early check-in. Not ready upon arrival. Had to ask again and again to see if room could be clean first. Finally told twenty minutes. Still time to get ready. Called for coffee and toast in am. On hold for ten minutes while someone went to check. Never came back on phone. Not available for room service. Not available even to go to sit in restaurant. Only full buffet breakfast. Full stop. So very disappointing in services. Rooms themselves are lovely. But lacking in customer service and experience.

Our stay at Rodd Miramichi was wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a great menu for both children and adults. We loved the beautiful river view and the amazing sunsets. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel’s services very much. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back. Thank you for making our family trip so special!

Nous avons séjourné 1 soir seulement mais si nous avions à repasser dans ce coin, oui nous retournerons certainement à cet endroit. 21 juillet au 22 juillet 2026. Très belle chambre. 2 lit queen, très bon matelas confo. Chambre 203 se trouvait vers le stationnement mais pour nous ce fût correct. Terrasse accessible vers l'eau, tres bo paysage. Tres bon déjeuner au restaurant du motel, chaise hyper confo. Aucun bruit de la nuit, piscine creuser intérieur et spa tourbillons wow! On a tout essayé. Tout le 2e étage côté impaire est du côté parking. Le côté pair est côté de l'eau. Je n'ai pas pris de photo de l'établissement nous avons profité des lieux.

La chambre très propre et lit très confortable. Que dire de la vue! WoW! La gentillesse du personnel de l'hôtel et du restaurant est remarquable. Je recommande cet emplacement à 110%. Merci de l'accueil si chaleureux.

La fermeture du pont pour aller de l'autre côté a fait qu'il n'y avait pas grand chose à faire ou à voir.

Notre accueil à l’arrivé. C’est comme si on dérangeais avec nos questions. Première fois à Miramichi et la dernière.

Pool und das Frühstücken sind super. Aber der Rest des Hotels ist auch wirklich toll. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Um 22 Uhr ist leider im Pool und auch an der Bar schon geschlossen.

Being on the ground floor on the river side...it's a whole other experience. The beautiful natural beauty of the Miramichi River and view of the Centennial Bridge is outstanding. Our desk check in was handled effortlessly and with such grace by a young man named Matteo and he went above and beyond for the ultimate customer service.

Bed sheets were pilly...if I'm being very critical.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Rodd. The reception area and the hallway leading to the breakfast area have been nicely updated and feel clean and elegant. The staff who greeted us upon arrival, as well as the breakfast staff the next morning, were friendly and welcoming. One area that could be be improved is the front desk during busy times. When we checked out, there was only one employee on duty, and he was on the phone assisting someone. Although I waited for several minutes, he was unable to assist or even acknowledge me because he remained on the call, so I eventually had to leave without checking out in person. It may be worth considering having two staff members at the front desk during peak periods to better serve guests and provide additional support for staff. The guest rooms themselves were comfortable and clean but are not as updated as the hotel’s entrance and common areas. Our biggest concern was the noise late at night. We arrived around 10:30–11:00 p.m., and shortly after midnight the music and noise from the room next door became very loud, making it difficult to sleep. I called the front desk, and the employee came up immediately. The noise stopped right away, and we really appreciated the prompt response. The restaurant offers a beautiful view, which we enjoyed. However, the music in the dining room was much too loud and wasn’t the type of relaxing background music we would expect while enjoying a meal. A quieter, more relaxing atmosphere would make the dining experience much more enjoyable. Overall, the hotel has many positive qualities, particularly its friendly staff and attractive common areas. With a few improvements to front desk staffing during busy periods, continued attention to noise, and a quieter restaurant atmosphere, it would provide an even better guest experience.

I enjoyed the property the convenience of local areas to enjoy like restaurants, golf, hiking, walking and biking trails. Zipline nearby, canoe rentals near by..Ritchie Warf for a great area to shop. The view was beautiful everyday from the hotel. The festivities for Canada weekend of the Pow Wow to the vendors.

There wasn't much information about what was happening within the area no signage.

I have been travelling to Miramichi and the Rodd for 12 years or so, tried other hotels in the area. We are back, worth the extra couple of bucks to stay here.

From their kind and friendly Manager, house keeping, and restaurant staff, all are just fantastic. I know because we stayed there for a over a week last year as well as this year. They knew that we were there for our grandaughter's graduation and they all went out of their way to help us make it a huge sucssess. The hotel is very comfortable and they make you feel welcome. The retaurant is well priced. Nice pool and hot tub. The Rodd Hotel is evrything you need.

Really enjoy this hotel. Beautiful setting and within walking distance of a pub! Front desk and hospitality staff worked together to get us checked in shortly after arriving at noon. Would certainly stay again !

On top of being one of the very best hotels in The Maritimes, the staff are awesome. I wish this beautiful hotel was part of The Marriott program.

As a business traveler in the Maritime provinces, I would rate Rodd properties as best value for comfortable stay, great views, deliscious food and great service and atmosphere, Rodd Miramichi is no exception, one of my favorites!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Water right outside your window! You can walk to lots of great places to eat and then hit the paved trail along the water for some exercise. It was also fun to watch the locals fish from the shoreline! The food, and service, at the 1809 was really good and reasonably priced.

The hotel is clearly well taken care of. The lobby is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and accommodating, the room was wonderful and the pool was great! It's the perfect size and the water temperature was good too. They had some little toys for the kids too!

The only downside of our stay was the tv channel options.. there really wasn't much available that was family-friendly. We did find one channel but it was geared more for babies than any other age group.

Clean, comfortable, nice pool and hot tub, incredible view. Main floor rooms are incredibly convenient with a patio door allowing for direct room access from outside. Close to shopping, restaurants and a walking trail.

Food was good at the restaurant.

When we booked on booking dot com. There was no mention of the pool being closed. I actually called the front desk on Thursday because we wanted to start our pool vacation 1 day earlier. I told her that we were having a pool party weekend for our granddaughter and wanted to stay Thursday and Friday night. There was roon so we booked it. I called her again to see if see got the extended stay request from booking. So that's 2 times I called the front desk about our stay and Vanessa never informed me about the pool closure. That's the only reason we booked their hotel. My wife and I were talking about it and she called Vanessa at the front desk of the hotel before I called and she didn't mention it either. Then they we could drive back and forth on Friday to the hotel down the street to use there pool, which we would have to pay extra for, will the next day was an ice storm the coated all the cars and roads with 2 inches of ice and snow. Wouldn't that be nice to drive the kids in. The did offer $20 off each hotel room and after we declined the offer, they over charged us when we checkedout on Friday to go to the hotel down the streetwith the working pool,, over $100 per room and they were going to email the receipt that I haven't seen yet. We had a great time at the other hotel and because we had such a hard time at the Rodd, they let use check in 5 hours early.

Excellent facility, very clean and well equipped. Restaurant on site and open late was a bonus, good food too.

The restaurant was fabulous - the decor throughout the hotel was very pleasant and relaxing. Entire staff from front desk to restaurant staff to housekeeping was exceptional!

It was a youth hockey tournament weekend (which is why I was there to watch my grandson play) - during these events there needs to better supervision not only of the players but the parents who partied until 1:34am….

The bad: Had to come back an hour later than check in. Bedsheets had to be redone because they were not clean, table in my room looked like it belonged in a garage...time to replace it. I rented a boardroom that was filthy, I had to take the linen off the table because it was full of pet hair. Chairs had stains and pet hair, room was not even vacuumed. The hallway to the boardroom was full of stuff on tables that made it look very unprofessional. My deadbolt did not lock. Positives: staff and service was all wonderful. Staff were professional and kind. Location is great, central, nice walking paths. Well equipped gym and lovely pool area. Lots of parking.

Very comfortable bed. Warm and welcoming staff. Sadly a very poor restaurant experience. Many menu items were not available and we waited 1.5 hours for our food. My daughters food was wrong but since we waited so long she didn't dare have them replace it. My food didn't even arrive - everyone around me was finished eating and I had to ask again for my food. Sadly it was extremely bland and also crusted from sitting under the heat lamps. We enjoyed the hotel but wouldn't recommend or go back to the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel. Super quiet. River view room. Pets are acceptable and welcomed. The bed was super comfortable. The pool was heated. On-site restaurant is good. Overall, a relaxing experience. Highly recommend

It was a quick work trip and had a great experience! Bonus since I was staying on a Tuesday, I received a complimentary drink voucher at the 1809 restaurant at the hotel!

Had some beautiful scenic views

The “handy work” that was done looked like it was done by an inexperienced contractor. Bathroom door handle falling off. The caulking around the bathroom fixtures was awful. Wallpaper peeling. Not well maintained at all. No complementary breakfast and the hotel restaurant super overpriced for what you get. One meal cost you $40 and it’s the equivalent of going to McDonalds.

The only thing I was not a fan of is the fact we paye for hotel rooms but have no free complementary breakfast. It’s gets to be alot when you paye the hotel rooms and need to paye your breakfast.

We were in town for a Hockey Tournament and this was our first time at the hotel. The location was amazing, the staff was awesome and our room was clean, smelled fresh and the temperature was just right. Will definitely return.

Great stay at the Rodd, rooms were clean and modern, the restaurant was great, beautifuly located right on the river. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas !

I really had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and overall very pleasant. The only downside was our breakfast at Restaurant 1809—the food wasn’t hot when it was served. Aside from that, everything else was great, and I would still recommend this hotel.

Such a lovely hotel with excellent service and a beautiful view of the river. The Christmas decorations were lovely and created a fantastic atmosphere. I have been here in other seasons and the same is always true - a great atmosphere and caring staff. The room was clean and quiet at just the right temperature.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Rodd Miramichi and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The rooms were very clean and modern and the staff was friendly and professional. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and family.
