The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was ample parking.

The location is somewhat isolated and there was a man on a bike, with a hoodie scoping out the parking lot. We later spotted him with his buddies, smoking weed, a few blocks away. There is not much around to see, or do as Ritchie wharf is closed after labour day and the area pubs do not open until 4pm. The hotel is quite run down, there is no elevator and the carpeting was dingy. I was surprised to see a suspended ceiling in the bathroom. The metal holding the tiles was all rusted and the tub was missing pieces of enamel. The breakfast was in the restaurant that was under construction. There were no lights above the buffet area, the coffee machine spewed out coloured water, the toaster made warm bread, the sausage was disgusting and the eggs were runny.

We had a wonderful time here ae always. We have stayed here many times and have never had a bad experience. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The entire place was clean and well kept.

The only thing missing was our beloved pancake machine at breakfast. Everything else was good but we really missed the pancakes

La salle à déjeuner ressemblait plus à un storage. Il y avait plein de tables empilées une sur l’autre. Dans un autre coin, il y avait plusieurs bancs qui étaient aussi entreposées. Je croyais que je m’étais trompé de salle.

Prix abordable

Les oreillers étaient inconfortables et une odeur d’humidité provenant du tapis. Le déjeuner était inclus correct. Personne nous avait prévenu à la réception que des travaux de rénovations dans le restaurant avaient lieu. Ça nous faisaient penser à manger dans « le garage ». Des tables de banquet entassées sans nappes face aux fenêtres très sales !!!

We recently stayed at Travelodge with a group of 10 family members, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. Check-in was super fast and completely hassle-free, which is a huge relief when traveling with a large group. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. What truly sets this hotel apart is the incredible front desk staff. When my son got sick after eating a few too many cheesies, the team went above and beyond to be kind, sympathetic, and genuinely helpful. That level of care and hospitality is rare and made a stressful moment so much easier to handle. A couple of minor things to keep in mind for future improvements: the bathroom lacked a ventilation fan, and the pool's deep-end drain was missing a cover, which led to my husband and me stubbing our feet. Despite those small drawbacks, the exceptional service, clean rooms, and welcoming atmosphere made this a memorable trip. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families!!

Exercise room. The deck would have been great for guests to sit and have breakfast.

Le petit déjeuner était tout à fait correct. La chambre sentait un peu l'humidité et le climatiseur de fenêtre est un peu désuet mais sinon le personnel est très avenant et la piscine fut appréciée par les enfants.

Breakfast was poor for the cost per night, very basic. No decaf coffee at breakfast or in the room, no milk or creamer in the room. The carpet felt wet in the room, the floor of the breakfast room was very slippery.

Les lits sont très confortable. La chambre était très propre. Juste parfait

Les fenêtres ne pouvaient pas s'ouvrir donc pas de changement d'air et il y avait des odeurs à chaque fois qu'on entrait dans la chambre. La taille du logement n'était pas du tout celle indiquée lors de la réservation. Mauvaise insonorisation, on entendait tout ce qu'il se passait autour. Le petit déjeuner est plus que mauvais, les œufs ont le goût et l'apparence de plastique.

La chambre confortable mais très bruyante. Le petit déjeuner sans service, pas terrible et le repas de la veille pas terrible non plus…

Brett at the front desk is the star of the show, he's such an asset! Pool is great, breakfast was wonderful.

Far from anything, nothing walkable.

Good for a quick stop during a road trip. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was very efficient and friendly. We even had a view of the river from our room.

Breakfast choices were limited, but the restaurant was in the process of moving according to the signs.

The staff was great!

The only issue we had was we ordered a dessert however, they called said o they didn’t have that one offered a different one . When I went down to get it they said they didn’t have either. Normally not an issue except my wife being a diabetic needed a sweet to stabilize here levels. I had to leave and go elsewhere. Other than that all was good.

Interesting hotel. The sign out front advertises restaurants that aren't in the hotel anymore, and the bar was closing and moving soon. Oddly the phone in the room says it's a Howard Johnson. We stayed in a suite that was obviously once two separate rooms made into one. You could feel the bumpy floor where the walls used to be. The entire room could use a good once over for finishing and trim, etc... That being said, the room was quiet, breakfast was great and staff were very friendly and great to deal with. I would stay here again if I was visiting the area.

Hôtel de bonne catégorie avec piscine intérieure très bien. Petit déjeuner buffet très correct. Chambre spacieuse avec machine à café, frigo et TV. La literie était bonne.

Le jour de notre arrivée le restaurant de l'hôtel était fermé comme ce dernier se trouve dans une zone industrielle, on est partis à pieds chercher un restaurant, il y en plusieurs à moins de 500 mètres. Hôtel calme mais un peu bruyant sur le matin, notre chambre donnait sur le parking.

The room and beds were very comfortable, the staff was nice. We didn't get to enjoy the pool but it looked great. Nice river view from our room. The staff gave us a room in consideration of our dog, which we greatly appreciated.

The immediate area is quite industrial and looks a bit sketchy but the hotel itself is great

The bed was nice and comfy, breakfast included many great options (I had toast with marmalade, yoghurt, and a cup of tea), and the front desk staff were absolutely lovely! Definitely my favourite overnight spot on this work trip.

Location, and easy to walk to downtown

Dont assume everyone drinks coffee, put an electic jug in each room. Many people drink tea. Breakfast was substandard. Pay a junior to collect real plates and stack a dishwasher so that you can use cutlery, crockery and glass ware. Plastic rubbish is bad for the environment and all the paper p l ate waste is atrocious. Do better!

This hotel is located conveniently fairly close to Ritchie Wharf Park. The room was clean and fairly modern, the Continental breakfast was good and is served in a room with a nice view of the river. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

For the level of accommodation it is this hotel was just fine, we had no concerns with it or any aspects of our stay.

I love the Location

I usually get a room on the first floor, but had to stay in the second floor. A bit of a pain when you have a lot of luggage and there is no elevator. Will also miss the restaurant

Die Aussicht auf den Fluss war einfach toll. Der Concierge war supernett und sehr auskunftsfreudig und hilfsbereit. Hat uns mit tollen Tipps für die nächsten Tage versorgt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, das Zimmer angenehm geräumig. Leider hatte der Pub im Hotel schon um 21 Uhr geschlossen. Aber früher am Abend und bei schönem Wetter hätte er eine schöne Terrasse direkt am Fluss.

Plastikbesteck, Pappteller und -becher fürs Frühstück sind gewöhnungsbedürftig… (Aber leider recht üblich.)

The motel was situated in a very quiet area right on the Miramichi River. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant staff were fantastic and the food was truly wonderful. All staff were polite and very helpful.

Close to NewCastle downtown. Friendly staff, elongated toilets and the bed were comfortable.

The breakfast was not very exciting. There was bread, bagels, muffins the usual colonial style breakfast. It was the hot portion that was lacking. Over done egg whites and some type of sausage. All the printed out paper signs taped to the windows, door and yellow safety floor post just screams tacky.

Staff was very knowledgeable of city events and attractions. On-site restaurant was excellent.

Le restaurant a fermé plus tôt que l'heure mentionnée et nous avons été pris. Es au dépourvu. Tout est jetable, pour le déjeuner, les ustensiles autant que la vaisselle et les verres, c'est très polluant... je pense qu'on est à une autre ère... s'il vous plaît. Le pire café que j'ai bu de ma vie. Translucide et sans goût.

There was absolutely nothing to like in this hotel. The hotel lobby filthy with mud and dirt everywhere. The hotel is in the middle of some industrial area, and although it's on the river, it looks more like it should be on a shipyard dock. If that wasn't bad enough, we got into the room to find the bathroom was laden with black mould all throughout the shower! It was beyond beyond disgusting. When we asked for a new room one without black mould, we were told "They're all probably like that". And at it just went further downhill from there. The woman at the front desk was surly, nasty and outright lied to us. After viewing seven rooms yes SEVEN! We finally found a room that was almost free of black mould in the bathroom. Before we could even view these rooms.However, we were told there were no more rooms available with a river view. So even though I had paid for that, we would have to get one that faced the noisy parking lot full of big trucks. I commented that the parking lot would be much too noisy and that we were looking for a nice quiet place to stay while visiting our relative who was not skiing well in the hospital. She then said and I quote "This is a busy hotel, and it is always noisy". When I looked back on Booking, it up and it stated there were still FOUR rooms available worth a river view. Despite this, she told us that they aren't available because they were waiting for people to check in. So I asked, what would happen then if I booked one that says it is available? She just stared at me. As this was happening.at the front desk, another guest came down with his dinner in hand saying that he tried to use the microwave, and he AGAIN blew the breaker trying to heat his dinner. She had to let the guest use the microwave in the office and told him not to use the one in his room! I stood there stunned, and at that this point I had met, she had brought me to tears for the second time.
