The property was in a good location however it nothing was as expected.

They gave us a room even though was nó smoking it was close to the smoking área, the smoke smell was so stronger that we could smell it from our room! The room was clean and ok but far from expectations. No Coffee on our rooms in the morning only decaffeinated. The breakfast was served between 5:00 tô 8:00 AM, we arrived 7:30 Am thwy had only one person serving reception and the breakfast! It was far from expectations, it didn’t have pancakes because the machine was broken, no coffee tô be served, very poor selection, they had food but no plates and knives, we used spoon to put butter on our bread. The bread was two slice that has to be shared with family members! A lady came with her kids and have no bread , she has to wait for plates and knife and spoon. It was very upsetting! We paid 110 dollars same as a 4 stars hotel wuth expectation after amazing reviews and Note 8,0 on Booking.com and it was a real scammer! Who still offer an option with carpet and rug close to à smoke hotel room.

This was the first time we had a room facing the hi-way which made for a lot of traffic noise but honestly didn’t keep us awake

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was impressed by the warm and professional welcome I received from the front desk staff. They made check-in smooth and quick, even though I had arrived slightly earlier than expected. The lobby was clean and well-lit, creating a positive first impression that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, with all amenities in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens smelled fresh and clean. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the quality of the toiletries to the soft lighting options that made it easy to relax after a long day. The room offered a peaceful environment with minimal noise.

Staff are amazing and breakfast served is really good, the only place where they serve fresh eggs. Rooms are clean and is comfortable. I will gladly recommend this place to friends, family and colleague.

This hotel is very nice,quite and clean I visited it this month . All the front desk staff and housekeeping staff are very friendly and helpful also rooms really clean and comfortable. Will come back here next time for sure

745 had to find her to cook eggs. Still waiting for orange refill. She works for in kitchen going back and forth to desk not very hiegenic. Very disappointed in breakfast

Propert was vey good except for smoke smell

For a hotel being close to the hiway it was very quiet...there is a McDonald's next door for early morning coffee before hitting the road... Breakfast at the hotel was great, doos was hot and fresh. I would recommend this property for future stays when next visiting the area

Had to ask several times for a towel seeing that there was none on checking in

This property needs to be upgraded. The shower head was so low my 6 foot husband had to duck. The rooms have dated carpets, cigarette stained bathroom fixtures and banged up walls.

I thought the room was ok. But the tap in the bathroom was broken which made things awkward. To use the tub tab you had to twist around the toilet. I asked the front desk for some compensation but the I was told because I booked through Expedia they couldn’t do anything for me. Which is ridiculous they were paid for the room.

Good staff and care but Building is showing its age

It was right beside Macdonald and very close to the skate park and pool. And shopping is just a short drive down the hill

Coffee was horrible/ very weak. Walked to McDonald’s to get one. Breakfast was ok. Would love to see more than bananas for fruit.

after checking in we had our volleyball teamin this hotel we decided to change hotels due to finding bedbugs

excellent location just across the arena. freshly cooked eggs for breakfast was really good. will definitely stay here again. group of volleyball player are noise and has no respect for other guests staying in the hotel, all staff are very polite and helpful.

One night, just needed the cheapest room available.

Excellent stay, bed was comfy, clean rooms and very good smelling shampoo and conditioner. Big flat screen smart tv is the best, able to stream netflix. Breakfast is hot and good. Everyone was nice and accommodating, will definitely stay here again

Close proximity to the McDonalds drive through next door Front of the hotel faced south, even with excellent air conditioners those rooms were probably pretty hot and facing the busy highway, maybe noisy.

Room 201 has a funky smell by the night stand between the two beds.

Extremely friendly staff

Clean quiet and the receptionest when we arrived on the 31 was amazing.

Breakfast: eggs were terrible almost slimy, bacon was cold and butter was to hard to spread on toast had to heat it in the microwave to make it spreadable.

Stayed here for hockey provincials, had a jacuzzi suite and the room was great for the price. Had a few minor issues with the tv but they came to fix it, did need to fix it again myself. Breakfast was okay for 2 of the three days but perogies and hashbrowns not a great combo on day three, like hockey pucks in the warming trays, thank goodness they had waffle maker. Was a bit shocked that they had smoking rooms, made the bottom floor reek of smoke when using the stairs. Was very convenient for rink, food and everything else in town. Right beside hwy but with fan running didn't bother my sleep, bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

We checked in with our dog, I liked that the room was on the main floor and easy to take the dog in and out as needed . The hotel was accommodating to our needs and the staff was super friendly . The continental breakfast area was organized and clean also were several choices to eat.Thank you Super 8.

The place was clean . But there was a hockey tournament in town. And kids running down the halls till 11:30 at night, and then 7am they started running around again. Went for breakfast at 9 and there was nothing left to eat. And no staff anywere

An unexpected stay and pet friendly I don’t have any thing else to say except the staff made it easier to find what you need especially restaurants The smoking area has shelter and a picnic table for more comfort

Quiet nice hotel

We had a dog with us and were put in a 'pet friendly' room, which had a lot of stains on the carpet.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed room, friendly and helpful staff. The bathtub could stand a recaulk and a few traction strips on the bottom. The elevator on the ground floor was easy to miss due to the huge Mr Mike's poster on the door.

Nice room. Unfortunately, they put a $150 pre-authorization for damage deposit on my credit card and then refused to refund upon check out, saying it would be refunded in 5 business days (a week later). This is LUDICROUS; those charges are reversible as standard hotel practice. AND the clerk admitted she should’ve mentioned that Interac payments are reversed the next day….. I’ll never stay in a Super 8 again, they’re crooks.

I hadn't planned on having to stay in Whitecourt but due to an accident that resulted in the highway being closed for an undetermined period of time, it was the best decision for me. The Super8's staff is absolutely incredible - so personable and friendly, the rates are very reasonable... the rooms though dated are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location of the hotel was great as well and right next to a McDonalds I only ended up being there for approx 6hours as one lane of the highway opened and I was able to make my way home When I checked out, the staff took it upon themselves to only charge me half of the nightly rate due to the period of time I was there I highly recommend The Super 8 Whitecourt for your stay as you certainly receive Amazing Service there *****+

Traveling through Alberta I decided to stop here for the night, after looking at several other hotels. Let me just start with, this place looks just like it does in the pictures. The room was clean, the furniture was nice, it was as good as the pictures. I'm sorry, I don't remember the staff's names, but let me say they were ALL friendly and happy to talk to you, I asked for an got a room not facing the highway, I the morning as I was carrying my stuff to load up my motorcycle, the young lady at the desk greeted me and let me know the breakfast area was open. It was nice place to stop for the night. There were places to eat within walking distance which makes more appealing to stay here. If I pass through here again, and it's time to find a room for the night, I will stop here again.
