Cloud 9 Inn

Very clean and newly renovated. Beds were comfortable and had TV's in the bedrooms for the 2 bedroom suite.

The Inn probably has a lot of people working in oil/gas or construction that are staying there, and there was always no parking in front of my suite when arriving back at night which can be annoying.

The staff was extremely helpful and the food was excellent. All beyond my expectations.

Nothing.

Newly renovated room. Very clean

Beds were a bit uncomfortable

Breakfast was hot and fresh! The room was spotless and comfortable.

There were plugin air fresheners in the entry and a gel air freshener in the room which I found to be a bit overpowering. Not a deal breaker but if you are scent sensitive it’s something to be aware of.

Excellent breakfast, staff super friendly and thorough.

The outside of facility was dated and rundown

Spotless and quiet. Wonderful staff that really cared about service and quality. The owners have really invested in quality and have turned a 40yr plus’s property into a gem.

Breakfasst was great and fast delivered to our table by a wonerful staff member

nothing

Wonderful staff! I can't say enough about this. Breakfast is a fixed menu that rotates daily. For a complimentary breakfast, it's more than good enough. The rooms are extremely clean, freshly renovated.

The beds are a little on the soft side for my liking, but this subjective; some people love soft beds.

Bed was a cloud itself. Owners were a delight. And rooms were a bang for your buck.

Staff were wonderful!

Pillows were overstuffed and too high for my kids heads. Minor problem which we solved with a soft throw blanket that was provided in the room

Always clean, pleasant, comfortable. The gentleman at check-in has been the same for years (I arrive in the evenings) and is welcoming, efficient, and half the reason I keep coming.

Comfort bed, great breakfast!

Good value. Great staff. Comfortable room clean

The room exceeded my expectations. The shower was amazing! Bed was wonderful. The staff was wonderful

Breakfast could have been a little better organized but overall it was fine.

Gervi was a great help. When he saw we were on a Harley Davidson he changed our room so we could park right outside our door. Great employee. The lady serving breakfast was very sweet and helpful.

Parking lot is a little ruff.

It was spacious and clean.

The prepared breakfast was a disappointment.

Family owned very helpful and friendly

Breakfast scrabbled eggs tasted different not enjoyable

I have stayed in this hotel plenty of times - it is mid-way between home and occasional work. Rooms are large, well equipped and clean.

Location

Nothing

Spotlessly clean, comfortable, very well decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was extremely friendly, and even remembered us from a previous visit. We had to stay up a lot later than expected, and the friendly staff accommodated a later check-out. (see below in what we didn't like, about spiders).

Quite a lot of spiders entered our room (lost count after we trapped and released the fourth, or was it fifth, one). After we got all of them transported outside humanely, which kept us up a lot later than intended, we blocked the huge gap under our door with a blanket, and no more spiders came in. This was a serious problem that one night. Took us a while to calm down, and get back to sleep after we were sure they were getting in under the door, and not somewhere else. Not sure I've ever stayed anywhere with so many spiders, seriously.

It was very clean. The staff were all super friendly. The room was modern and seemed recently renovated. A hot breakfast with a range of other options. Nice place to stop on a long journey. Exceptional value for money.

Very nice

It was cold

We arrived at Cloud 9 quite late after a very long day. Our room was thoughtfully arranged, spotlessly clean and well appointed The mattress was more comfortable than our expensive mattress at home. The breakfast was excellent! Cloud 9 is a family operated business and it's very clear they take pride in their property.

Breakfast was very good with a hot breakfast as well as lots of other choices

A lamp with USB ports next to the bed.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly. Gave me a free upgrade when I checked in. Very clean

Appreciated that the staff are friendly and helpful.

Water in parking lot.

One of the best places that I ever stayed at. Very clean and well kept. Unusual treasures not found in the typical motel such as a desk that raises and lowers with a glass top.

Nothing that I can think of.

Manager was friendly! I had made a mistake on the booking day and he fixed it with no problem! Breakfast was easy and fast.

I was pleasantly surprised and grateful that you personally prepared and served the scrambled eggs, sausage, and fries. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent value for money.

We stayed in the newly renovated family suite and it was deluxe 🤩 but there are steep stairs, FYI if you’ve got littles or trouble getting up/down same.

I was not a fan of the room facing backwards / a small tree line, but the niceness of the room helped compensate for same.

The construction, they tried to put us in a half burnt hotel building, garbage and people loitering

The space was amazing! It was clean and quiet and had more than enough room for my family.

I always feel like I’m coming home when I stay here! The staff is friendly and know me by name. I will never stay anywhere else in Whitecourt! I commute almost monthly from northern BC to Calgary and it’s my midway rest stop every time!!!

Not a thing

Newly renovated room was excellent . Breakfast was great.

Coffee that was served at breakfast was non drinkable

Location worked for us. Staff was very nice.

The parking lot was pure ice. It was glazed over and very difficult to walk on. This was especially true when carrying luggage to the room. The parking lot was covered with ruts. It APPEARS there was no attempt to make it safer. Also, there needs to be more plugs to charge phones, watches, radios….

As a single woman traveller I felt really safe and welcomed. Really clean and modern.Well located.

Nothing

Clean and spacious

Staff were amazing, the rooms were exceptionally clean, well stocked and nicely decorated.

Did not stay for breakfast

Everything was great

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Beds were very comfortable.

The hotel did have fairly "thin walls" so it was easier to hear other guests which was not ideal.

Pleasant staff. Clean. Quiet

Pillows are bad. Bed is squeaky

Unfortunately my schedule didn't fit with the breakfast times, will have to try next time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Location and staff!

The bed wasn't very comfortable!

It was newly renovated so was very clean and comfortable

There was no lick on bathroom Could use more towels

Clean spacious room, very friendly staff and good breakfast. What,s not to like?

All the staff were very friendly and cheerful, the room was furnished with care and quality, and the breakfast was impressive for a meal included in the already low price. They really go the extra mile here.

All the pillows are very thick. It's good to have a variety for different sleepers. I had to sleep without a pillow.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They ordered a cab for me and allowed me to extend my check out to noon.

Friendly staff, price, lots of TV channels and plug ins

Could be cleaner, temp was either too cold or too hot, more cold breakfast items

The room was clean, super modern and ridiculously well priced. Absolutely amazing

There was nothing not to like.

The rooms were newly renovated and exceptionally clean. The staff we met at the front desk and in the breakfast area were amazing, friendly and extremely accommodating. The facility includes coin laundry which is a nice amenity, hit breakfast to stay or go, cooked on your arrival and/or you can choose additional options. I would recommend this motel

A couple of minor things, we weren't able to park in front of our assigned room because others were parking there. It was -30, so it would have been preferential for us to park in front of our room. Breakfast is a quite short time period - 5:30 am-8:30 am Mon- Fri, and 5:30 am - 9:30 am weekends. Im sure this is to accommodate oilfield workers, however, others may like to have breakfast available until about 10.

Staff are friendly

Food and location

None

This truly is a little gem of a stay away from home!! Amazing staff, friendly and sincere; accommodating, knowledgeable , and know their job!! Breakfast nook, is cozy , inviting, and a fabulous variety of foods. they make a 'to go' if you are in a hurry, to get back on the road!! AAA Plus stay. Chef is most kind , friendly and accomodating!!

The rooms are nicely redone and clean and quiet Front desk staff are very accommodating and friendly

Comfortable bed. Clean. Great breakfast

Very rough toilet issue. No Kleenex.

The staff is always friendly no matter what time you arrive. The complimentary breakfast has fantastic service.. good food Great place to stay

Very friendly staff and could see they are renovating but they have a lot of work ahead. I believe we stayed in a renovated room but the cleaning was just not kept up.

I was running late, they offered to give me a to go breakfast, was amazing service

I could hear the people above me a lot but that’s my only complaint

This place is good value. Clean and great staff add to the comfortable beds.

Great place

Room was simple but had everything I needed.

Friendly amazing staff, clean rooms and hearty free breakfast makes Cloud 9 my preferred stay in Whitecourt

Nicely renovated, very clean.

The staff was great!

Staff was great. Room was nicely renovated. Pleasantly surprised

Inside was clean. Bed was uncomfortable but still thankful it was clean. Outside looked like a ghetto back alley. Worried our car would get broken into so we kept checking in. Rooms across from us had a fire and were all burnt. Interesting experience. Staff was nice at least
