Stayed here with the family on our way north. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
After checking in late and just wanting to get to bed, it was nice walking into the room to find it warm. Shower pressure was good and hot. Bed was extremely comfy.
Stayed here now a couple times. Hotel is clean, comfortable the staff are very welcoming and friendly. It’s sat in perfect location when I’m heading south for work.
Stayed during the snow storm to rest and wait it out. The team are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. Would definitely recommend for a pit stop
Coming home from an away day at the football. I didn’t have the energy to make it all the way home so decided to stop off here. The room cost £34 so was dreading what to expect. The fella on reception was kind and jovial. I felt welcomed immediately and he couldn’t do enough to help. When entering the ground floor room I couldn’t believe how big it was. The room and bathroom was spotless. The sheets were clean and smelt fresh. Clean mugs and coffee/tea making facilities along with clean towels. I’ve paid much more for much worse places and I would more than happily stay here again. The only slight negative was that if you are traveling north bound you have to come back on yourself to get to the hotel and there is no access from the northbound entrance. Like wise on a morning I had to travel southbound to come back north. Added about 4 extra miles so nothing too bad. Just wanted to make people aware.
Stayed here recently and was checked in by a polite and friendly receptionist Siân room was clean and smelt fresh Was able to pick up a little snack from reception and there was plenty of car parking spaces. Bathroom clean and the shower was hot. There’s teas and coffees in the room which is ideal for no extra charge. Had to pay for parking but I understand if you book direct you don’t have too so that’s a little bit of information I’ll keep for when booking next time. At only a fiver per night that isnt a lot as some hotels charge more.
Stayed here from a festival in August. Hotel was clean and welcoming. Jacki welcomed me in like an old friend. We only used the hotel to rest heads and wash but was perfect for us.
If there were any ratings below zero, that's what this establishment would be worth! I don't recommend the rooms on the ground floor, it's not safe, they overlook a parking lot! There are no grilles on the windows and the curtains are very thin, you can hear the cars and all the noises from outside. Drunk customers who disturbed for hours by shouting, insulting, moving objects in the room above. The night porter couldn't do anything, he came up twice, and couldn't change my room. The hotel was full, the hotel is very poorly soundproofed, you can hear everything. But the worst thing is the state of the room (refuse 01), the carpet is stained, the baseboards are black, full of mold and fungus, and there are cobwebs everywhere. You sleep in a poorly cleaned room, walk on a moldy, stained, unsanitary carpet; it's disgusting and repulsive. It's impossible to sell a room in this state if you have a commercial conscience.
A comfortable, nice size room. Overall the room was fine the only point of improvement would be the bathroom suite was tired looking and was worn in places. Nice grassed area outside to get the dog out while we stayed. (not enclosed/secure) Also never had to pay additional parking when staying at a motorway hotel outside of the London area. Only £5 but an additional cost upon arrival. Although signage did suggest this was included if you booked direct with Days Inn.
FANTASTIC STAFF!! I stayed over the weekend to work with an event, and all the staff was incredible, friendly, helpful, fun and they put up with me and our drunken adventures fantastically :) From Tina, one of my ex love interests I life, still as fantastic and as bubbly as I remember Muchelle or Millissa ;) was incredible all round. Jacky was a pleasure during the day with us coming in and out And chris is a genuine bloke who makes the whole hotel feel secure and safe, especially with me sat with him behind reception 🤣 But all in all the hotel and staff was incredible, and I will make sure to return :)
Michelle, Tina, Jacky and Chris, were fantastic all weekend putting up with the team and myself whilst we ran an event in Sheffield. Some of the friendliest hotel staff I've had the pleasure if dealing with, professional and extremely welcoming. Will definitely be returning!
The location on multiple map offerings is wrong and it is very poorly sign posted so you get directed to the wrong side of the motorway or all round the back roads
Good
Staff excellent. Got a good sleep. Bathroom had a good shower but needs updating, looked aged.
Travelling t’up north for a welcome break, On the sunniest of Days inn for Rock n roll’s sake, Surrounded by hills and one or two sheep In the cosiest of beds I had the greatest sleep’ But the warmth and greeting we received at the start, Warmed the cockles of this aging heart, Channel was her name and it’s been quite a while Since we felt so at home from her opening smile, Couldn’t have been more helpful, even if she tried So we stayed in the foyer and laughed til we cried Sining CD’s,photos and all Our hostess with the mostest was always on call She dealt with the guests with patience and charm Even the traveller with anger to disarm Her professionalism shone until Tina arrived To relieve her of duty, another shift survived They both had the banter to engage and amuse As we signed all our merch and drank all our booze I Cant recommend this place highly enough though I did forget my pants and had to sleep in the buff… Days inn Woodall Awesome
Stayed for a festival, was able to check in early, receptionist were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Bed was soooooo comfortable it was perfect. Literally used the hotel to sleep but it was a perfect stop over
Lovely little hotel (not in Sheffield tho) but quiet and able to gather your thoughts. Friendly team I encountered. Slight hike to the service’s but hotel has booze and couple snacks save going too far until you start to crave a greasy burger from next door in the services
Absolutely fantastic help from the minute I arrived. Jacky went out of her way to help (the freeezer). Thanks again Jacky
This was amazing value for money, comfy bed with a nice sized bathroom. Everything you need for a rest after a day on the road. The staff we’re friendly
£5 charge per car for guests was taking it to far. Staff was not welcoming at all. didn't read number of guests and pretended that they are doing us favor. We had exact number of guests as booked but reception was rude. Wouldn't recommend this for the money we paid. Go few miles away and decent one would be easily found.
T
On arrival, requests for sofa bed made up and cot available not completed. Reception grabbed linen for bed and a cot and made these up myself. Receptionist advised later a different room was set up for us but someone else assigned to that room. Slight frustration after a long day, but mistakes happen. Room fine, pretty clean. Decorating a little poor (eg paint on mirror frame) but not that bothered all in all when using as a bade for a couple of nights.
Finding this hotel was not easy. Once there getting to the service area on foot was hazardous, there was no path or directions and it necessitated crossing the Petra’s forecourt and access road with very high kerbs. The room was basic as expected but I was surprised the spare bed was just left as an uncovered mattress, especially as it was stained. Another time I’ll drive on somewhere else.
Noisy,
Good price but rooms were tired and dated. Also felt cheeky that we had to pay extra for parking considering this was at a services.
Quick easy check-in, polite staff. Quick & easy parking, although if booking via Hotels.com or Bookings.com there will be a £5 parking charge per car on arrival which can be made by cash or card at reception, If booked direct via the Wyndham Hotels booking then parking is FREE… think this should be mentioned at time of booking. Motorway services in walking distance next door with different food outlets available. There is a microwave within reception available to use if bringing own food.Enjoyed having kettle within room.
Good
It was good
Love this hotel. Really friendly staff, refurbished so modern and spacious rooms. Always have to remember to request walk in shower as they have both showers and baths with shower in the hotel. Slight walk to the main services but helps get a few extra steps in
Great overnight stay before catching cruise link early next morning
The Days Inn Sheffield was perfectly situated for us. As our cruise bus pick up was literally a five minute walk. The rooms were clean and comfortable and a nice array of Drinks for purchase. The most outstanding part was the staff both evening and morning both ladies were lovely and chatty. We would definitely stay here again en route to a cruise.
I didn’t stay, this was a mistaken booking. I could t get a refund or credit. Will not use this chain again.
Bed was comfy Wi-Fi didn’t work signal was slow I had 3 dead moths and a few live ones
A good location, with lots of amenities nearby and very helpful staff.
Everything to hand .
Nice hotel. Only complaint was there were only 2 plug sockets and they were not near the beds
Peaceful stay, no problems
Lovely staff and great views!
It’s a highway stop type inn. It served the purpose we needed. Break-fast included was at the service stop and was sort of a hit break-fast, was okay. Staff were pleasant. Room was very basic, but good enough for what we needed. No fridge in the room though.
Really handy hotel helping me break my journey down with work. Room are spacious, and clean. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Food options are limited next door unless you’re happy for fast and unhealthy food. But other than that great place
Dated but clean. Bit of a cheek having to pay to leave car in the car park.
it was very convenient as it is near service station, cheap and comfortable
Use this brilliant hotel again, during a work trip. So refreshing being welcomed by someone who seems genuinely interested in your day and really went out of their to ensure we have everything needed for our stay, Rooms are clean and spacious
Noisy upstairs neighbours bath dirty curtain fell down wasnt secured also charge extra £10 for parking which was included in price
Friendly staff at check in which was quick and easy
Good value. Perfectly comfortable
Tv had only 1 channel, lady on reception was not very helpful , also had to pay to park there overnight
Was so loud didn’t expect it to be as noisy as it was, maybe a mistake on my part by booking a hotel on the motorway.
It was quite convenient and only downside is that you have to pay for parking on site which is quite surprising for a hotel
Where to start with Tina? Such a great receptionist whose hospitality went above and beyond! Haven’t had as good hospitality in 5 star hotels. Tina is a credit to days Inn and an absolute diamond. If every hotel in the world had a Tina the world would be better. Thank you very much days inn and and thank you Tina!
Tina made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door, what an absolute gem and a credit to the hotel she is!! went above and beyond to make us feel welcome after a really hard day in work 😁 I've been all over the world staying in some of the best hotels in the world and I've never felt more comfortable and so welcoming than I have tonight! Tina is an absolute gem and every hotel needs a Tina 🙌🙌
The rooms are always clean and comfortable, with very polite and friendly reception staff. Slightly disappointed about the additional charges for parking but I imagine that is down to the land owners imposing charges on the businss, which is a shame.
Amazing
We’ve stayed in a few Days Inn hotels up and down the uk, it was very convenient for a few days stay, check in was a breeze, Channel who was on reception was so very helpful and friendly which made it so welcoming on arrival with her lovely smile, the room was large and comfortable with a nice large bed and the bathroom had a very powerful shower which took me by surprise, there is tea and coffee in the room, as it’s on the motorway services there was plenty of parking for vehicles in the hotels own car park. Next time I’m in the area I’d certainly stay here again.
Stay was good room was clean with amenities beds comfortable, no public toilet or bar facilities but nice place would recommend
Very comfortable room great value for money
I stayed here twice and for the price it’s extremely good value . The rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable .
To be greeted with a charge of £5 for parking the car was an unwelcome break We shall not be returning
We got a warm friendly welcome on reception. Room was clean and smell fresh. All was good, except we got lots of noise, banging and walking from the room above. This was probably due to poor sound proofing. I will score this hotel 4.5 stars out of 5.
When i arrived i was charged a extra £35 for parking yet there was no mention of this when i booked the stay
Clean room. Quiet surroundings. Single glazed windows and a bit dated net curtains
Stayed with the dogs for one night. Everything works fine. It could do with a bit of update, but everything was clean and working fine. Friendly staff and didn't hear much sounds of M1. Really good pub (The Pebley Inn) just less than 15 minutes walk, definitely recommend to pop there for good food and drinks.
Great stay , room was very clean staff where all very freindly .
Staff were great, happy to help at all hours.
I have already sent this to Days Inn . The room was extremely tired and worn. There seemed to be, what looked like , a blood stain on the Duvet under the cover. The curtains (on the ground floor next to the entrance) were broken and difficult to close. The woodwn frame arounfd the bathroom door was rotten. Partially missing and still had been painted over. No plug sockets near the beds . One had been blanked over . Stained carpet . I was glad I brought slippers. Just overall. Very disappointing.
Tina was so kind and welcoming, she’s a very funny lady and the gave best customer service we could have asked for. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rooms were both very clean and spacious. There was a slight draft from the window which made the room feel cold but heating works in the room.
Staff so helpful and friendly
Great stafff!
The condition of the hotel was excellent but would be nice if going to the hotel through the northbound and southbound cause to get to the hotel you have to use the southbound and they should be putting on breakfast included
A great place to stay
Hotel was fine, very good value for money and easy access etc but the noise that comes from people walking around in the room above you sounds like they are walking around your room. Couldn't get a decent sleep at all, no problem with the bed or anything it's just the creaking and cracking coming from the ceiling was horrendous. I don't like leaving negative reviews because as I say it was really inexpensive and clean, but just incase you are a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room on the top floor, whichever that may be
Staff very helpful and welcoming. Very clean, everything you needed. Cant complain at all for the price. Windows could do with attending to but wasnt a problem. I would stay here again without a second thought
Value for money! Free parking, wifi, pets stay. Quick check-in/check out, comfortable rooms, always friendly staff. Nice green area nearby to walk the dog. We often go to Sheffield and choose this hotel over others within price range. Definitely recommend.
Value for money. Clean room. Access to electric car charging.
Just needed a place to stay
Lovely stay when stopping off here for a family meal in Sheffield. Was plenty out of the way that I got space when you’ve had enough of family time. Rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and shower really powerful. Great stay
Perfect little find for a stop over on the M1. Hotel was welcoming, warm and bright. Bed was very comfortable and slept like a log. Actually slept in, breakfast across the way was a small hike but still got me set up for the day ahead. Would stay again.
Very clean quite always pleased. The gentleman on the reception desk is always friendly and keen to have a helping hand if needed . He has always been a really nice gentleman / staff member. 😁 Me and my partner have been staying here a lot over the months and never ever had a problem. The price has always been really good and affordable. The hotel room is very clean . All accessories provided as stated on the info site.
Booked in and arrived, was welcomed in by a lovely friendly lady named Jackie, couldn’t do enough for us and really went the extra mile. Throughout our stay we were greeted by housekeepers and other receptionists all as friendly as each other :)
Stopped here and found this to be a fantastic hotel. Rooms are clean, modern, warm and the bed is firm and very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and really go out their way to help and support you if you need anything. Really would recommend
Comfy room for price, pleasant helpful reception staff, unfortunately as its on the M1 services, constant motorway noise made poor sleeping. Handy for easy access to facilities both for eating and ev charge points. Well lit parking spaces included in price.
Good value and a handy location
Lovely room for money spent, all you needed would recommend for a night
Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Stayed a few times now and would definitely recommend
Very much enjoyed our stay, easy access off the motorway, quick check in. Recption were great, friendly and polite. Good amount of food options next door. Perfect for a short overnight stay. Pet friendly aswell, which was very helpfull for us.
Perfect no thrills and comfy bed hotel. Slight issue with first room, window would no close so could be opened from both sides of the room. Explained to reception and i was moved to an different room. Staff where great in handling my issue.
All good, a little maintenance needed in the room I was in staff friendly.
Was good for purpose. Comfy bed. Nice showr. Clesn towels
Everything was fine, although the room could do with sprucing up a little and a bedside lamp didn’t work. The floor above creaked somewhat when the occupants above moved around. Otherwise good value for money.
Always good value. Worn in but very clean and functional. Very welcoming reception
Noisy because ofthe lorry park
Ground floor and the window was broken - security concerns for the day we weren’t in. And it was cold and noisy at night. We stay here a lot and it’s normally fine but this stay was marred by the broken window. No alternative rooms so not the staff’s fault.
Very convenient and quiet with friendly service
Where do I start? The worst experience I've ever had with customer service, anywhere. If you have any problems, maybe best keep them to yourself because sympathy, empathy, understanding or decency isn't a factor here. Antagonistic and deaf to any problems - I'm still trying to work out why the reception person was so angry when we arrived. Can only assume something else had set them into such a mood, but this is my first and certainly last visit to a days inn. This was the dark haired lady in the evening, the morning lady couldn't have been more of a contrast/nicer. I was wondering at one point if it was one of those theme hotels where they are deliberately horrible to you for a bit of fun. But no. Just the most angry and unfriendly front desk person I've ever encountered. I hope they find something that makes her happy because if this is the reception we got, I very much doubt we were alone. The anger and arguments were clearly a well trodden path for this person, I was shocked at the endless vitriol. I appreciate there are reviews on here that praise the staff, and for all I know others might be lovely but the person we had was exceptionally unpleasant to deal with. Never again with days inn for us.
clean, tidy and quiet.
I was impressed with the room for the amount I paid. Very spacious, two beds, crisp linen, comfy and quiet. What more do you need?! The bathroom was fine. The nearby services were handy, there was a local pub but it was a very dark road to walk along. Would I return? Yes! Channel on reception was very helpful. Thank you
Having stayed at this hotel several times we have found it to be very clean with friendly and helpful staff that go the extra mile for guests. Special thanks to Jacky for always having a smile and being so helpful. Located on the Woodall services on southbound M1 with plenty of parking. It's very affordable and provides good value for money. Guests can use the restaurants in the service area. Make sure you put your car's registration in the screen on reception desk.
My 'go to' hotel when travelling to the office. Great team who always make you feel welcome. Massive props to Jacky who always ensures there is a smile waiting for me at reception, and an iron and ironing board in the room. Great team, good night sleep, what more could you ask for. 👍🏼
Budget experience, just hope you don't get noisy people above or next to you.
