Shore Hotel

Very clean and the hotel's location was excellent, and the room views were great, exactly what we expected.

The staff was not very welcoming. In my opinion, the higher a hotel's star rating, the friendlier and more welcoming the staff should be. We practically received no service at all, and considering the relatively high cost of the stay, there were no special services offered. Even the free internet was very weak, and the mobile signal in the rooms was poor. On the second day, we asked them to clean our room, but when we came back it hadn't been done. When I mentioned it the next morning, they didn't apologize and simply asked whether I wanted it done that day. Since it was our last day, I said it wasn't necessary. At checkout, even though we had quite a lot of luggage, the staff just stood in the lobby while my wife and I carried everything to our car ourselves over several trips. Maybe it was just our bad luck, or maybe we expected too much, but either way we certainly will not stay at this hotel again.

Our air conditioner didn’t work. We stayed 3 nights without central air. The front desk said no one was available to come up and look at it. They sent up 2 small desk fans instead. They advertise a comfortable balcony to relax outdoors for each room. Our balcony was above a bus stop with homeless people passing by. The door to our room wouldn’t shut unless you slammed it and you had to hit up against it with force to open it.

Das Hotel liegt direkt beim Pier 39. Die eigene Tiefgarage ist gut aber sehr teuer. Die Zimmer sind schön und bequem.

Der Pool war zu kalt. Der Whirlpool dafür sehr heiß. Es gibt leider kein Frühstück.

Das Hotel ist sehr praktisch gelegen, ein paar Schritte von der Brücke entfernt mit der man direkt auf den Santa Monica Pier kommt. Also ca. 10 Gehminuten zum Strand. Der Pool ist klein aber fein, zusätzlicher Bonus sind ein Yakuzzi und ein Eistauchbecken. Das Essen im Hotel ist ausgezeichnet, obwohl sehr teuer (aber das ist fast überall so in der Gegend) ein großes Lob an die Küche. Der Service ebenso. Willkommensdrink beim Einchecken, gabs auch alkoholfrei ::)) Der Eingangsbereich großzügig und die Lobby ansprechend. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, da man den ganzen Tag sowieso unterwegs ist. Wir hatten am letzten Abend unserer Reise einen Piano Konzert am Pool, was sehr schön war, und ein wunderschöner Ausklang für unsere lange Reise war.

Die Bettengröße ist definitiv zu klein, aber vielleicht kann man auch größere buchen, was ich nicht weiß. Die sonderbare Abmachung, dass man 15 $ Gutschrift im Hotelrestaurant bekommt, wenn man keine Zimmerreinigung in Anspruch nehmen möchte, dies aber erst am nächsten Tag anmelden kann, ist dann schließlich auf der Abrechnung nicht berücksichtigt worden, obwohl ich extra diesbezüglich noch bei der Rezeption darauf hingewiesen habe, dass wir den Gutschein gerne in Anspruch nehmen und dafür auf das Zimmerservice für 2 Nächte verzichten wollen. Ebenso habe ich bis heute kein Mail mit der Endabrechnung erhalten, was mir beim check out versprochen wurde.

Everything was amazing from the stay to the service. There was an incident that occurred during my stay where someone tried to enter the hotel and use my hotel information and card to buy things at the hotel and the amazing staff at the hotel noticed and notified me immediately and made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you again!!!

Das rechtzeitige Buchen kamm uns recht teuer, vor Ort wäre es nur halb so viel :)

Hotel usytuowany w doskonałym miejscu tuż przy plaży i molo w Santa Monica. Blisko do wszystkich atrakcji, restauracji i promenady. Piękny widok na ocean. Muzyka na żywo wieczorami w pełni oddaje klimat Californi. Hotel zadbany a personel bardzo miły i pomocny. Rekomenduję ten wybór.

The mattress was horrible, and we couldn’t sleep at all the first night. I actually ended up sleeping backwards on the bed just trying to find a spot with enough support to get comfortable. The next day, the hotel changed the mattress for us. While the replacement was slightly better, it still had dips and was uncomfortable. Based on our experience with both mattresses, the overall mattress quality felt either very low or simply overused and in need of replacement. For a hotel at this price point, we expected a much better standard of comfort and sleep quality. We left the hotel 1 day early even we paid $500.

The location of the property is excellent and the outdoor hot tub was a nice touch. Love that they have a plunge pool as well. The room was pretty basic but absolutely fine. Thanks for a nice stay.

Loved the location across from the beach The room was great and we appreciated the balcony space. The pool was a nice touch and had a good energy at night.

We found the surrounding area unsafe with the open drug use and number of homeless people. My wife was intentionally tripped over on a morning jog which was a shame. The beach was nice to look at but again had a number of homeless people camping out on it so we didn't go on it.

On arrival, reception was very accommodating, especially as I had to book last minute. They provided a great room with a beautiful view. Perfect for our stay at Santa Monica. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

The construction that was happening that we did t know about til 7am on our first morning. It’s was drilling and banging sounded like it was coming throw the walls.We did ask at reception but they just said sorry, it happened both mornings it went on all day from 7am.

Loved how close it was to everything. Beds were comfortable.

This isn’t a negative it’s just an oversight on my end. I didn’t know that there would be only a privacy screen on the shower to separate it between the room and bathroom. Only because I had family with, but as a couples room, this would be awesome.

Excellent location. Michael at the front desk acknowledged our length of stay and arranged a superior room in the category we had reserved. Rain shower water pressure was the best of any hotel we’ve stayed.

The ocean view that I paid for was not an ocean view, more of a pool view. My shower drain did not work so it flooded. The compensation I was offered was a measly dessert but only if I bought an entree AND a drink first. Disappointing

Nuestro primer día, estuvimos en tour y al llegar en la noche , la pieza no había sido realizado el aseo. Camas deshechas , basura en los tachos , etc. Ante el reclamo , ofrecieron ir a dejar toallas y sacar la basura. Llegaron la toallas , pero no se llevaron las sucias ni la basura. Al conversar con recepción , y entendiendo que un hotel que cobra más de 500 dólares por noche no puede suceder algo así. , argumentan que estaban muy sobrepasados y me ofrecen 15 dólares para consumo en el bar. Mal y casi ofensivo. Me dio la sensación que les importó poco.

Ci sono molte spese accessorie, tra cui il parcheggio che costa 22 dollari a notte più 30 euro al giorno se esci con la macchina e poi la riconsegni. Anche il caffè in camera con le cialde è a pagamento.

Pricey. But not more than other hotels in the area. Parking policy is confusing. Turns out you will be charged $50/day instead of $20 if you use your car during stay. The $20/day is essentially car storage.

Hotel location and vibes. The rooms were nice, and the staff was helpful. We also appreciated the opportunity to relax in the jacuzzi, and the pool water was pleasantly warm rather than too cold.

We chose this hotel based on its excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our rooms were located directly above an area that was under renovation, so from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. we had to endure the noise and banging from the construction work. Despite the inconvenience caused by the renovation, we enjoyed our stay overall.

The location for sure. Near Santa Monica pier. The bathroom was nice, great shower, nice shampoo. When you enter the lobby, it gives you nice feeling, and we were able to watch football in the restaurant. Valet parking very convenient, guys taking care of it were really kind. Kettle in the room with nice camomile tea.

We had the room looking on the construction site, so it was very loud in the morning, drilling, restructuring ongoing. Manager offered us late check out which was great. Beds in the room were way too soft, these should be changed. We love harder beds, but we would be fine with less hard ones, but this ones were really too much for us 🥴 Very pricy lunch/ dinner menu, not worth it. We were really disappointed, three meals ( chicken, veggie ravioli and hamburger) one coke and one beer: 177 USD, for the food that probably came preprepared. Would never order there again.

We stayed here for two nights and overall had a great experience. The location is excellent—walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier, restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the valet attendants and front desk were always courteous. We also had a beautiful view from our room, which we really enjoyed. The room was clean and comfortable. I had requested a mini fridge and microwave before arriving, and they weren't in the room. To the hotel's credit, when I mentioned it through their text service on Saturday evening, they apologized and immediately offered to bring them. By that point we had already worked around it, so I declined, but I appreciated that they tried to make it right. The biggest issue was the minibar. When the bellhop brought our luggage to the room, he pointed out the snacks and told us they were complimentary. We never asked if they were free—he volunteered that information while showing us the room. Based on that, my family and I believed they were included and we consumed them. After checking out, I discovered over $100 in minibar charges. I contacted the hotel, explained exactly what happened, and while they acknowledged they understood how the misunderstanding could have occurred, they ultimately decided not to remove the charges. I'm not upset that they responded—I appreciate that they took the time to review my concern and reply professionally. I simply believe this situation could have been avoided with clearer communication. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay, and this misunderstanding was the only thing that left us disappointed. I wanted to leave an honest review that reflects both the many positives and the one issue we experienced

One thing that I didn't like is that the gym is not in the hotel. Is 3 blocks away. But who needs a gym when there's plenty of walking in santa monica. Also posted a picture if the mini bar snacks that were over 100 bucks.

No check out queriam que eu pagasse uma conta de restaurante que não fiz, como era sábado a gerente não estava e ficaram de dizer se a despesa era válida ou não conforme assinatura da despesa. Resumindo, fui me embora sem saber ! Cama demasiado mole. Mini bar não arrefecia mas em 30m puseram um frigorífico grande no quarto.

My shower nor faucet had no hot water the second day. Nor did I receive bikes that was offered complimentary via Booking.com. Front desk said they didn't know it was an option.

Fantastic location, lovely staff, beach views were great and the restaurant and bar were good.

Did lose a day at the pool as they had an event on for the marathon and the guests spilled out and took up the whole pool area.

Bonjour, nous avons particulièrement apprécié le balcon face océan, l'emplacement de l'hôtel, la disponibilité et l'accueil très chaleureux de l'ensemble du personnel de la réception et notamment de VOLKAN qui parlait français.

Nous avons signalé à l'accueil quelques petites réparations à faire dans notre chambre comme le resserrage de la poignée de la porte de douche, de la poignée de la fenêtre coulissante ainsi que des accoudoirs du fauteuil.
