Very nice
The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is very old and could use some serious updating. However the room was very clean. There is no ac, but this is not uncommon in Ireland.
It was a very comfortable overnight stayi loved the power shower.....it really woke me up.
Staff
Clean. Nice restaurant. Comfortable beds.
Nice setting..
Mainly a family golf resort Very quiet, quaint area
Got married there two years ago and went back for our anniversary and the staff are amazing they couldn't be more attentive to any needs, they are exceptional, friendly. Food is excellent. Would highly recommended
This property is a bit underwhelming, had great reviews, so we expected it to be wonderful. Very loud, walls are paper thin. A bit outside of town, so not walkable to any downtown area. If you aren’t from Ireland, don’t expect anything spectacular.
The hotel was lovely overall. The kids enjoyed the pool, the restaurant was delicious, and the rooms were spacious. There’s no AC and it was quite warm when we stayed, but we had fans available in the room and that was fine for us. We’d stay again!
Me and my daughter had a lovely stay great rooms with the most comfortable beds staff very helpful
Really enjoyable stay - great location to explore Clare - kids loved the pool. Really great breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel dated in places but being invested in. Would stay again.
it is not a walkable area and. reception was not very welcoming. also a maintenance request was rather slow
Just one night spent in very peaceful and clean surroundings. Staff were very nice. Room was basic but fine. Comfy bed which is crucial. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but filled a hole. Nice to have plenty of parking available and a great leisure area.
Unique Like a country club Decor was amazing in room Huge bed Staff very friendly Good buffet breakfast
It is a beautiful property, especially if you like to golf. The rooms are spacious and clean. I had only one night here, but if ever in the area again, I would stay longer.
Nice overall for our quick one night stay. 20 minute drive into town.
Even better than we expected. Sorry to be here only one night. Highly recommend
My only complaint: there was a raucous wedding on a Thursday night and hotel staff did not address the roaming after party until 2:30am. Walls are thin here, a little dated, but generally clean. 10 minute drive to city centre.
beautiful
Great stay.
Needs to be updated and refreshed.
Great location. Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast.
Beautiful area host and staff were super friendly we had great visit
I stayed one night and it was very comfortable and relaxing.
You won't be disappointed with this beautiful location on the coast.
overall is good one thing want to mention is the night shift staff not too helpful, when i have a box of stuff wanna bin. just point me to certain direction without clear guidance. i need to check anywhere by loading up the box not asking her to help me bin, feel impolite just pointing somewhere, she might afraid i gave her some extra work
It was a nice hotel for a quick stay. Not much to do within walking distance of the hotel
Lovely place
It was great!
Very relaxing place to stay!
Lovely property with spacious bedrooms, excellent spa and pool plus helpful and friendly staff. The food was also excellent. Will definitely be returning.
The woodstock is a fabulous ameniety.
thank you
I thought the property would be nicer.
The staff were great and very helpful. Loved the surrounds! Our room was comfortable and cosy.
What an amazing place to stay. It feels elegant from the moment we turned into the driveway. Close to town yet in the country. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place of you are in the area.
The property was beautiful, located on a golf course, the staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.
Hotel Woodstock was great, friendly staff and gave us recommendations of things to do in the area.
I felt so comfortable here. I was met with a smile and felt welcomed from the moment I stepoed foot inside. Honestly, County Clare has been a highlight of my trip to Ireland.
The 'sell' on Expedia did the trick. Moody and inviting. Beyound the warm reception. The lift control button / mount was loose... setting the mood. Its and older and evidently tired hotel. Everthis tired / dated. Room's decor, bathroom fitting. The TV had, then lost signal. The coffee cups an saucers filthy. I don't / couldn't dine. Dissapointed.
Business stay, i was literally in and out. Saying that, i was greeted by a very nice lady in the evening (i arrived late), who also happened to be there in the morning as well. There was a nice cosy fire in the fireplace of the entrance hall, which was a nice touch after the long journey.
Wonderful and helpful staff , great dinners and breakfast as well
We enjoyed the amenities, the gym, pool, and dining. Very reasonable prices and our window overlooked the golf course.
Very nice place, would stay there again!
The property is a little out of town in Innis. They don’t have late dining. The staff was conscientious. The breakfast buffet wasn’t really great.
Lovely stay
Elevator was out of operation.
We spent short break here in mid July and were pleasantly surprised by this charming hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, special word for the Scottish carvery chef. We ate in the hotel and had an excellent carvery on arrival in a newly renovated dining room overlooking the connected golf club. We were warmly greeted by Oisín, son of the owner who toured the dining room chatting informally to guests. We also enjoyed a lovely evening meal the next day. Rooms and bathrooms well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Seating needs to be refurbished though and we were disappointed by the poor choice of TV channels.
We arrived for a one night stay. On arrival the room seemed quite dated. One of the two chairs provided was so rickety that it seemed it would collapse on using it. I tried to call the office, but I couldn't be heard on the room phone. I decided to go downstairs to ask for a new chair, but Declan was already on the way up. We also advised him we couldn't find any USB ports for charging devices. He said there weren't any, but one could go downstairs to purchase one from a vending machine. Declan returned with a replacement chair and telephone and with the bad news that the vending machine was out of connector devices. Later we tried to use the bedside lamps. The first didn't work and the second could not be plugged in. Declan came back and said the lamps were problems. He removed the two and returned with two different ones. One of them worked, but the second couldn't be plugged in. There was only instant coffee. Ugh. The curtains in the room could not be closed as the hook on the curtain could not be inserted into the broken plastic holder. Light came into the room at 4 am. On the good side, the hotel comped our dinner and a bottle of house wine. The dinner was delicious. The residents of Ennis should make a point of coming here though it is a few minutes by car from town. The staff was as helpful as it could be and receive the highest of marks. Also, we received a call from the owner the following day to apologize for the issues we faced at the hotel.
Very nice and cosy! Lobby and rooms are very nice
A perfectly decent hotel situated on an apparently very nice golf course.
Fabulous hotel we chose this based on the internet details and were very pleased with our stay the executive double we chose was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection of foods, we ate at the hotel the first evening and had a very good meal, overall our experience was excellent we would definitely plan to return if we are in the area again. We would highly recommend the hotel and it’s facilities.
Nice weekend getaway, but not far from town
Very nice property. We booked it for the proximity to Shannon airport. Our stay was short but we had dinner. Burger great. Request their mushrooms on the side. Wonderful !! Hot tub luke warm super disappointed. pool nice.
Had a lovely stay ,dinner was amazing staff were lovely had a great time
Amazing reception hall and a very lovely lady at the reception, so helpful. Lots of parking space outside. Room nice and clean. There was a vent in the room so air was very fresh but with the wind it was loud.
Showed up right as the kitchen was closing and they stayed open to make sure we got food after over 48 hours of travel! So friendly and kind!
The place is rundown. It needs urgent renovation.
This hotel was nicely decorated and the staff was great. However the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. There was wet hair on the bathroom floor that was not ours, obviously. Pay $20 to stay elsewhere.
This was a beautiful property and the room was very clean.
Nice hotel. The restaurant has fantastic food. Would have liked a refrigerator and microwave.
N/a
was a nice stay, beautiful rooms, but staff wasn't as helpful as could be
Nice accommodations. Clean and comfortable. Staff could be a bit better. However, we were there on a Mon/Tues and I think they were training new hires.
Lack of dedicated disabled parking spaces.
Excellent hotel in an excellent location. Helpful staff, great room and amenities. Would recommend to everyone.
The receptionists keep trying to charge me for breakfast and my room when everything was pre-paid. I stayed two nights. Same thing both days.
Very good
No bottled water in a 4* deluxe room? The cupboard drawers collapsed when I tried to open them. The Sauna in the leisure centre wasn’t working on the second night of my stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good.
Na
The room was a bit dated. The door was difficult to open and close. The materials was old and the shower only shower didnt work. It was too hot. The shower in the bath area was better but there was no cover so it splashed a bit.
It's clearly a popular venue for weddings and other celebrations, and overall very attractive. We did have to endure 90 minutes of kids rampaging up and down the corridor past our room (104) --an unsupervised gang from one wedding gathering. Otherwise, aside from being overpriced, in our opinion, at $200/room, it was a comfortable stay and we enjoyed the dining options and food.
Very nice staff and clean room.
Just one night. All good. Hotel has Ukraine people staying so lots of children around! Located outside town. Handy location for Shannon or Lahinch.
It was fine - probably v upmarket in its day could do with a few upgrades ie radiators in bathroom v old some damp in the reception area high up
The pool was perfect for kids. The food in the restaurant was over priced for average to poor food. Charged for four knickerbocker glories and got four jelly and ice-creams. Very disappointed kids. Hotel is more of a three star. The owners were very nice and welcoming.
Great place! Originally a hotel byil
Nice hotel, good location.
Quiet & nearby Lees Park Ennis has a terrific ,vast, lit formal park for runners, bikers, boarders, tennis, etc.
Nice facility. Dinners were excellent
Nice hotel. Do not stay there during a wedding or other function. Walls are super thin and when everyone got back from their celebrations we were up all night with them! It would’ve been nice otherwise but as it was we got very little sleep and we were miserable to be honest. Wish we’d have been informed about that. Also affected check in and no food available in pub due to function.
Average at best . Hotel a bit dated . Small issue was allowing people into the dining area to the buffet breakfast in their pyjamas !!! Actually put me off my breakfast !!!
Food was disappointing. Decor very dated.
only 3star hotel, room ok,breakfast very poor -small choice on menu, some choices didnt have, quality of food poor, staff seemed in-experienced didnt bring what was ordered, tea in a coffee pot and coffee in a tea pot which had not been cleaned properly. Evening food ok,again staff seemed in-experienced and didnt bring what was ordered and yet added to bill on top of what was ordered even though they said it was their mistake and wouldnt have to pay for wrong meal. The outside of hotel around front door was not well kept with cut grass on tarmac and loose leaves not cleaned up. Overall it seemed everything was being run on a very tight budget to the determined of the hotel.
Great stay in Hotel Woodstock. The staff could not have been more accommodating and the ease of our stay in these difficult times was appreciated. I would 100% recommend this hotel for a staycation. Ennis is 5 min drive away, the cliffs were 30-40 min away so it had it all.
The highlight of the stay was the staff. Every single person you meet are so lovely and friendly.
Needs a lot if work inside old hotel. We don’t stay in the end got a full refund and moved on y to o a different hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ps the pictures online are from years ago .
Excellent, well done to the team on a difficult time, would definitely recommend this hotel
The service for food was really bad had to return dinner as they put sauce on it when I asked for sauce on the side. Had to wait nearly an hour to order dessert in the bar as restaurant was too busy. Went for breakfast at 10.30 and hardly anything left finishing time was 11am. Room was nice and very comfortable, very nice man checked us in he was very friendly and welcoming. Bar comfortable and had nice live music, although they ran out of 2 of the lagers my husband was drinking.
All was very good but service for evening meal very slow ; food very tasty & hot when eventually served.
Very grand appearance but has a lot of warmth. Rooms are in process of being updated but clean, spacious and comfortable. Well stocked tea tray with kettle in room. Spacious updated bathroom. Love the mouldings, chandeliers, decorative railings - lovely. Bar is gorgeous and staff is friendly. Would stay again and recommend.
Great place to stay, great staff too; highly recommended!
Gracious hospitalitaly & service.Immaculate rooms and facilities. And congenial, intimate entertainment.
Lovely overnight to end our stay in Ireland. Great service, comfort, and breakfast!!
We enjoyed delicious breakfasts. Each day we used the pool and hot tub. Sitting by the lobby fireplace was relaxing. Our room needed painting and the rug had a few stains but that did not diminish our relaxing stay.
Great staff, especially Thomas and Conor at front desk.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! I was very warmly welcomed by a young gentleman at reception who was very helpful and willing extremely friendly. I had dinner in the bar which was very good. The lady who was working that night was very efficient and once again very friendly. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
The service was great and the rooms were clean. Wish the pool was open longer for families to utilize but overall it was a great place to stay.
The staff were all very happy and nice. Pool and dressing rooms were immaculate and would stay again.
