Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Wonderful staff and clean rooms, but the property is starting to show its age The Positives: Exceptional Staff: From arrival to departure, the team was thoroughly professional, well-trained, and welcoming. Immaculate Cleanliness: The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, with very comfortable beds and crisp linen that made for a great night's sleep. Great Amenities: The reception area is beautifully decorated, the food in the restaurant was lovely, and having a Type 2 EV charger available for the Jeep was a huge plus. Overall, We enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely spot with fantastic service, and with a little bit of updating around the rooms and restaurant, it would easily be a 5-star experience!
Needs TLC: While everything was spotless, both the bedrooms and the restaurant are starting to look a bit tired and are in need of some general maintenance and tender loving care (TLC). (Note: We didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool or the bar, so we can't comment on that facility.)

Triple room booked , had 2 singles and A camp bed that was not the most comfortable .Bedroom was dated along with shower .

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026The hotel is a tale of two halves. The exterior and reception area is excellent, the staff were so helpful and restaurant/bar was excellent. Location wise its only a short drive into Ennis.
The "Family" changing room in the leisure centre is the disabled toilets with a lamenated sign. The rooms were very dated, and the toilets even more so. It had 1990's B&B vibes and no stopper for the bath.

No soundproofing between bedroom walls, next door headboards banging and fire alarm in the middle of the night. Maintenance man in ladies changing area with no sign or warning. Breakfast should be of a higher quality standard.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Nice rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, good facilities. Food in bar lovely and drinks really nice. Requested a room change and while staff made every effort to accommodate this, I couldn’t be moved. They did their best for me though and that’s to be highly commended.
I was placed in a adjoining room, the door was not sound proof and I could genuinely hear the conversations from the room beside me word for work, felt as though I was in the room with them. Placed in a room over looking golf course, stunning views, however at 8 am this morning the maintenance men were cutting grass right outside the window so there was no chance of a relaxing lie in.

The woman who checked me in wasn't especially friendly, although the breakfast staff were. The breakfast room overlooked overgrown shrubbery and the poorly maintained exterior of the hotel. The should frost the windows or put curtains up (or take care of the basic maintenance needed outside I suppose). I go to Ireland every couple of months and I know that heatwaves are rare (but becoming more frequent). Be aware that the rooms don't have AC or fans. I was roasting in my room and had difficulty sleeping (to be fair, I didn't ask the front desk for a fan, which maybe they had. Or should have had). The room itself was fine but starting to show signs of wear and tear. For the price I paid, I could have found somewhere nicer. If you golf, great location. Otherwise there is nothing to walk to or do.

Dinner was very good. Beds were comfortable and I asked for quiet room and I got one.
