It was very quiet in our room which was a definite plus, bathroom was very nice, appreciated the type of blinds that they had on the window. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Wished they would have had some different meat for the breakfast that morning.

Pool was a little cold

Room was very clean, comfortable bed, lobby was welcoming and comfortable to relax and/or eat in, and breakfast was adequate for me. This location has been open 5-6 yrs and you can barely tell that it isn’t brand new because it is so well maintained and clean.

The doors leading to outside the pool and back lounge area were very unsafe. Both doors have a metal lip on the outside and my daughter cut her foot open twice once on both doors coming back into the hotel. While at the front desk getting bandages for the injury I heard another guest complaining about the same doors with pretty much the same issue my child experienced

Everything was very clean. Someone was always wiping something down or organizing a communal space. Smiles by staff and going out of their way to be helpful. Shola was exceptional. Beds were very comfortable.

I never leave reviews, but I didn’t have a great time here. I checked in after coming in from the airport around like 1am or so. I walked into 2 queen beds when I reserved 1 king bed. I went downstairs and was told I should’ve been called or someone should’ve told her about the room switch. There was only one hearing aid king room, to which, I was staying 3 nights and didn’t want to take someone’s disability room if I didn’t need it per se. I go downstairs the following day to speak with management about the room and that the water in the shower. It had absolutely no pressure and 75% of the holes in the head were clogged up. He was unsure of the reasoning, and said no king rooms were available until Friday night. I am leaving at 4am on Saturday. There’s no point. He said he could also try to get maintenance to check it out. They never did. I showered 3 nights with barely any water, and a water hose outside was better than what I was working with. I asked both people I needed to make sure I was not being charged over for what I bought vs what I am getting. They stated they were the same price. Then I requested some sort of discount for the inconvenience, was told I couldn’t get anything due to me using booking.com. I was not satisfied with the lack of communication and empathy, the inability to accommodate for what I paid for, the water, and not even being offered some sort of discount. I will not be staying here again, even though I booked it since it had WONDERFUL ratings. But, NOT a good one from me.

The property was clean, well decorated and the staff was professional and helpful.

Upon check-in, our shower had long straight strands of hair on the walls and on the shower floor. The shower appeared to be clean otherwise, but I had to clean the hair out. The pillows were very small and one was almost completely flattened.

1.I understand it was a power outage and the key system did not work the evening we arrived. The front desk guy did his best to let everyone in their room.. The next morning the receptionist said a manager will be there to generate keys in one hour. It never happened. Every time I had to go to the room I had to find someone to walk with me or my other members of the family.to open the door. Saturday the front desk people were not nice, No Wi-Fi or access to anything that requires a key or being assigned to a room. 2. The noise from the construction nearby started at 7am even on Saturday and Sunday. Until that is fine you need to make sure your room is on the front side of the hotel.

We really enjoyed how clean and well kept up the hotel was. Our room was very clean and everything operated as it should! We enjoyed how close it was to everything but still tucked away off the busy road.

Unfortunately the eggs and sausage were a miss at breakfast for my entire family. The eggs were watery and the sausage every day had cold spots in it. It really upset my families stomachs as well. As far as the pool goes, it was freezing cold and it stated on the booking that it would be heated. The booking stated there would be a microwave in the rooms and I have seen other reviews say their rooms did not have one and ours didn't either.

Avoid this hotel. The management is absolutely horrible. If you book a rate you’re shown through booking.com, they’ll happily blame any mistake on the booking.com side and then charge you anyway—seeming perfectly content to take your money while refusing to honor what they advertised. To make matters worse: they do this on the day of check-in, when they know it might be difficult to find alternative accommodations. They also use a “gmail address” to send emails, which comes across as shady. That isn’t customer service; it’s finger-pointing and extortion-by-policy. They clearly care only about profit, not people. Steer clear of this place—avoid it like the plague.

The hotel was fine.

The staffer not knowing the law tried to bully and kick my husband out of the hotel. The police was called and the officer had to inform the hotel staffer of the law and that what she saw was legal. If he lights it up to smoke on hotel grounds then she has reason to kick him out. We checked out that same hour because the staffer wouldn't listen when we were telling her the same information before they calling the police.

I always stay at the tru. It’s a great facility.

One small thing. We weren’t checked in all the way so the front office called us at 2:30a to make sure we were there. They were just helping and we appreciate that

Our room was for a handicap person which we have and couldn’t be any happier. The room was very large and the bathroom was perfect for our family member who’s in a wheelchair.

Good facilities in reasonable price

Breakfast options are limited.

A lot of traffic noise reaches the room because it's close to the highway; I couldn't sleep at night.

Loved the atmosphere and the facilities.

Our room didn't really have a closet. It was just a part of the room dedicated with a bar to slap clothes on in the open. Was a tad bummed about that.

It's difficult to like anything about Tru when the reservation price isn't honored.

Updated July 8th 2026 6pm the woman ..same as last year at front desk just miserable again...no customer service skills at all ..just terrible her attitude...so we went across the hwy to the Delta..with an 8.6 rating ... tottally high end bigger room...and cheaper ...never again the TRU in Shannonville........2025 as follows...We're do I start ?...just to much it explain in a on line review.. a less than desirable experience of less than an hour sleep at this location ..Some protocols need to be seriously looked at for this location as this location is one Tru Hotel I would never stay in again.I am leaving my e mail with the hopes the manager ...wait...ohh better yet the franchise owner contact me to discuss. e mail is haltonhockeyofficials@gmail.com .

The hotel didn't enforce the Late Night Quiet Hours and there were very rowdy and noisy guests up all night

Seems as though employers had younger family members hanging out waiting for the adults to get off work. In the lobby restroom there was stuff on the floor in the early evening that was still there the following morning.

The staff was nice and the facilities were clean. The rooms were nice and clean...very inviting The breakfast was exactly what you would expect from a hotel breakfast.

I did not like that I needed to read, initial and sign paperwork having to do with curfew and causing trouble in the hotel. It was a negative feel right at check-in. A $100 security deposit seems a little extreme for a nights stay. The rooms have no storage...I can appreciate the modern design, but some hangers on a pole does not make a closet. The pillows were in desperate need of an upgrade.

The breakfast was not great. Hardly anything available compared to other hotels we stayed at. The construction next door and the highway noise. Definitely need better insulation for all the noise.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and felt modern yet cozy. The amenities are great and well-appointed. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The walls are very thin. Our room was next to the interstate and you could hear the traffic non-stop. Trucks using J-Brakes at 3am are very annoying. We were on the 3rd floor so we had upstairs neighbors and we could hear every footstep. They obviously had young children as there was a lot of running back and forth. The lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom meant the mirror was steamed up after showers so showering with the door open is a necessity. Also, the water pressure in the shower was disappointing. The shower head tried its best to increase the stream but it just wasn't enough and had a hard time rinsing the suds off our bodies. The A/C unit does not have a continuous fan option. I appreciate the wall-mounted control but the fact that the only controls you can control is the temperature setting and whether it's heating or cooling was very frustrating. When I stay in a hotel I like to have the fan running continuously at night, one for the air movement, but mainly for the white noise. When it was running to cool the room you couldn't hear the interstate noise but since it was a rather cool evening, the A/C was off more than it was on.

La fille à la réception le soir de notre arrivée était impatiente, impolie et surtout n’avait aucune envie de nous aider. Booking n’avait pas envoyé la confirmation à l’hôtel et malgré le fait que nous lui avons montré notre réservation et que nous avions déjà payé, elle nous disait qu’elle ne pouvait rien faire. J’ai du lui demander de contacter le gérant. À chaque fois que je lui montrais notre réservation, elle nous demandait de quitter les lieux où de repayer la chambre. Une chance que le gérant au téléphone était présent, même avec son aide, elle ne comprenait pas comment faire et nous faisait un facture, nous faisant payer de nouveau la chambre. La troisième fois elle nous a menacé de téléphoner aux policiers. Elle n’avait pas les compétences requises pour nous aider et s’en foutait royalement prétextant que c’était mon problème . Au départ, elle m’a dit qu’il n’y avait aucun frais si nous annulions ( pas vrai) elle n’a pas fait remplir le bon document pour mon chien d’assistance, elle a roulé des yeux lorsqu’elle m’a demandé la raison de l’assistance, m’a dit que c’était 75$ quand même pour le chien. Lorsque je lui ai dit que ces chiens n’avaient pas de charge, elle était mécontente que je la contredise. Comme l’anglais n’est pas ma langue première, je répétais ce qu’elle me disait pour m’assurer de bien comprendre , elle s’énervait, roulait des yeux et me faisait le signe de la zipper. Elle m’a dit de travailler ma patience tandis que j’essayais de comprendre. Plus jamais, je n’irai à cet hôtel, par crainte de faire affaire avec elle. J’ai eu peur et pas dormi de la nuit. J’avais peur de ce qu’elle pouvait faire. L’autre dame à l’accueil le lendemain était parfaite. Comme elle m’a reparlé de la situation de la veille, vérifiant ce qui s’était passé, corrigeant les documents de l’autre de la veille, l’anxiété m’a reprise. Ouf, qu’elle aventure pénible. Je n’avais jamais vécu cela et croyez-moi, j’en ai fait des hôtels.

An above average breakfast

Tight parking lot. I drive a 39 passenger executive bus and with all these properties tightly bunched it can be challenging to position my vehicle so I can safely enter and exit places. Hotels need to become more aware of this and position designated places for us professional chauffeurs. PLEASE BRING MY POINT TOCORPORATE PROPETRTY BUILDERS. Thank you

Took a $150 deposit from us to hold incase of damage. Then said it could roam up to 5 days to go back on card. When I booked it I was not aware of this.

Pros: Staff was helpful, hotel looked new and was clean and well-maintained. Cons: There's no carpet in rooms so you can hear people above you. If you like a quiet room at night, get ear plugs because the noise from I-75 is loud. Two cars were broken into the night we stayed. Construction next door was inconvenient and an eyesore. We only stayed here bc the Hilton Garden Inn nearby was booked. We wouldn't stay here again.

There are a few basic things I’ve come to expect from a hotel - especially one that charges over $200.00 a night. One is cleanliness and this place was clean. Another is quiet and this place was pretty quiet, although there was a significant amount of road noise from I75. Another is hot water and that is what was definitely missing. I kept expecting the barely lukewarm water to heat up during my morning shower. It never did. Given that, I can’t rate this place higher than poor.
