We found the beds were not comfortable and our backs were very sore. When we mentioned the bed issue it was shrugged off. This was our first with this experience.Yes and No

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026We want to place on record that our stay was exactly as we expected: we were warmly welcomed into a comfortable, clean, and well-organized room, and the staff was excellent—always helpful and ready to assist us. We will certainly return, recommend this place, and plan future adventures in Edmonton while staying here at the Super 8. An excellent stay.
Maybe some improvement regarding the pancakes or fruits for breakfast would be one more positive thing to add.

Loud as all heck a/c couldn't decide when it wanted to work lol, and I couldn't take the shower head home with me 😄 window screen had a hole so we couldn't keep the window open as mosquitos and little flies had come in.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Large rooms, Comfy beds , Clean place. Good breakfast. Close enough to Two Hills County and Boian Heritage Site - a great Romanian pioneers site to visit. The hotel restaurant and bar just in the lobby make it so convenient to meet with friends or just hang around.

Could have used instructions for the TV. The 'clean' remotes do not have a toggle function so there was no way to select another source when plugging in an external device. There is a source toggle function at the TV itself but did not see this initially and had to ask a staff member who were very helpful.

We arrived in our room and there was a coffee maker and coffee on offer. We asked for tea and were told that it was not available and that we would have to wait for breakfast. We were able to find a shop that had tea that was locating relatively close. A bit disappointing not to be able to have a cup of tea until morning. Not of great concern but still.

Various family and travel issues arose and I dealt with Stacy by phone a number of times to continually modify my stay. My praise and thanks to Stacy for her kindness and understanding and professionalism, and for being an excellent ambassador for this establishment. I will be recommending this location and revisiting in future

The restaurant attached to the hotel has been redoing the menu for over 4 months now. Took over an our for 6 of us to get our food, when we were seated wasn't informed of the 18% gratitude added to bill till the end. Not happy with this

Reviewed Jan 6, 2026WARNING – Credit Card Overcharges and Refund Refusals This location repeatedly overcharged my credit card and refused to correct the issue, even when approached politely. For clarity: Hotels typically place a temporary authorization deposit (in this case, $150). When you check out, that authorization should be released within minutes. If a hotel tells you it will take days to get your funds back, it usually means they charged the card and then processed a refund, which unnecessarily delays access to your money. That is exactly what happened here. Despite clear explanations, staff refused to acknowledge or fix the situation. This reflects either a serious lack of training or intentional mishandling of payments. Additionally, one night of my stay was paid in cash ($118.81) — I have the receipt clearly stating PAID CASH. Despite this, the hotel still charged my credit card both the $150 deposit and the $118.81 room charge. When I raised this issue, the individual identifying herself as the manager (“Trish”) was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed no concern for resolving the problem. As a result, the hotel held a total of $418.80 on my credit card ($150 + $150 + $118.80) pending refunds. This directly caused further issues, including refusal to check me in for a prepaid reservation booked through Super.com, because available credit had been tied up by their improper charges. I strongly advise anyone staying here to carefully review all credit card transactions related to this location. You may be surprised by what you find. Based on my experience, I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
