It was unfortunate that the hotel was undergoing renovations and replacing plumbing was part of it. And water coming out of the bath tub was brown and contend grains of sand and metal, so taking a bath was out of the question.

Disgusting that a room is booked for 2 adults and the beds are placed together like that. I will never ever use this place ever again in my life!!!!! My clients are very angry with me!!

The waves on the Indian Ocean are free when you stay here. Super nice facility. One wing was being renovated; all rooms face the ocean. We appreciated being able to do our own laundry (no charge). Would definitely stay here again.

I find it frustrating that when I book through hotels.com I get the worst room in the hotel. Hotel is beautiful, but I had a view of the casino carpark at the back end of the hotel with the casino generator/aircon making a huge noise 24h.

Fantastic friendly staff, excellent food, great views from rooms and restaurant

Actual food service a little slow but staff and food excellent. Not being able to extend ‘book out’ or offer a transit room so we could enjoy the sun a few more hours before our flight out -7 hours time- was very frustrating!

A secure functional chain hotel with plenty of parking. Our room was large although the bathroom felt a bit dated. The staff on reception didn't go out of their way to explain what facilities the hotel had or what was in the surrounding area. We found the swimming pool by accident. They didn't have a map available either. On our first night we ate in the hotel restaurant. Although for most of the time there was only us and one other table the service was slow. When our meals eventually arrived they were no more than luke warm. It took over 20 minutes for a bottle of sparkling mineral water to arrive. When it did it clearly had been shaken up on it's way as it sprayed out all over the table. After we had signed the bill so that it could be put on our room the waitress came to our room and said that we had to pay for it separately. We ate out on our second night! Although there were a lot of notices about saving water due to a drought when our room was serviced the towels were changed, even though we were only staying two nights, and the face cloth disappeared.

Unfortunately our very special occasion only ended up with disappointment and food poisoning from undercooked frozen (as we were informed later by staff) fish which was sent back along with my undercooked steak. We reported the fish to the manager who did not offer any compensation and informed us he would investigate and get back to us - we're still waiting well after 2 weeks. Our last night - disappointment again - and we unfortunately decided to eat at the restaurant again - to play it safe ... salad and pizza. Very underwhelming - the pizza base tasted as if it were a standard supermarket base and not a fresh base. The wine list became limited as several of the wines we chose on different occasions were out of stock. The room was clean, but we needed to air the room each day due to the cleaning agents being used. The pillows were new, but either too large or too soft - frustrating - but they did provide us with extra soft ones to sort it. Parking, security was all good. In general, the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach views from the balcony are excellent, though, not their fault, the traffic noise is continuous. The gym, while small, was adequate for a small workout and it was nice to be able to use the bikes while looking out to the ocean.

The Courtyard hotel was warm and welcoming. Rooms comfortable. Lovely pool and lounge area. In walking distance to the beachfront and eateries. We would definitely stay here again.

Rooms not cleaned properly.

Rooms were enormous and well kept. Staff was very friendly. On-site restaurant was delicious and affordable.

It was absolutely amazing. We have no complaints at all. the place was nice and clean. The home service was also impressive. Excellent view, especially to watch the dolphins passing by in the morning.

I enjoyed the room facilities and the breakfast and dining services.

We booked two rooms, but Our both rooms were in the basement with walking out door. The smell was terrible, we asked to switch to the room above ground, the staff was very rude and refused. If we knew the rooms were in the basement, we definitely would not book it. Bad experience!!!

I never thought that you have not included breakfast and that have disappointed me.

I gifted a couple an overnight stay at this property as part of their wedding gift. I paid a suite with a queen bed. When they arrived at the property the staff was rude and unwilling to help. They gave the newlyweds a 2 twin beds small room. I paid for a better room. Really disappointed 😱. I need a refund.

Great pool. Very clean. Excellent staff. Beautiful view of the ocean and boardwalk. Nice balcony. We were warned not to walk even a few blocks to restaurants after dark.

Beautiful on the beach, but we feel unsafe on the area. When we talk to security guards, they told us dongo outside after dark.

One of the very few hotels on the beachfront with sea-facing balconies and convenient parking outside your room. Wide open spaces and a feeling of freedom as the property is huge. Walking distance to beach front, swimming beach, promenade, casino, mall and restaurants!

The property is conveniently located for an overnight stay before heading to the airport. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Would most probable suit a longer stay as the rooms have a small kitchen.

Staff was not friendly. Confused our reservations with the day before, thinking we had been a no show, so had to get that figured out. NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE INCLUDED. Costs $20 to schedule a shuttle one way.

Comfortable, clean, friendly efficient

We had an amazing stay from when we were warmly greeted at check-in to having a nice clean bathroom and room over looking the bay. The hospitality was great and the room very comfortable. Thany you.

While I can't fault the hotel, and have stayed there on many previous ocassions ( having booked either directly or on another site) the hotel room I was given on check-in was not as described on the website. The room did not accord with the booking photo. It was a much smaller room with no walk through lounge area as depicted on photo (the room I usually book at this hotel) and so no sofa bed for my young daughter. It was unsuitable for 2 adults and a child as advertised, and I was therefore forced to take an expensive upgrade at the hotel to get the room I had thought I had booked. I paid an additional R565 at the hotel. Hotel.com has not response to my complaint. In the circumstances, I will never book through this site again. I attach a photo of the room as booked the site. Whether this was intentional or due to an oversight this lends itself as a case of false advertising. Not impressed at all. Due to above excercise caution when booking on this site.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Very well located and close to many restaurants and pubs. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated but the rooms are very comfortable.

It was great except that two of the rooms did not have any gowns in them.

Amazing location and views, good service and amenities. Only gripe being the bed mattress which was past its sell by date, resulting in a very uncomfortable sleep and a sore back. They did replace it for me however, the new matress was very hard, thus a further sequence of discomfort and poor sleep.... after 2 weeks i departed feeling exhausted. This was a big let down as i was intendimg to recharge and reenergise this holiday season.

Great location!

The staff were all professional and helpful. The room was clean and lovely. I did get a bit confused as I did not find any coffee table in the room, but eventually when I explored I found the cupboard (thinking it was for clothes) was in fact a little kitchenette. Brilliant. Two pronged plugs should be offered for being able charge one's phone. Thank you Court Yard, I have always wanted to stay and now know I will be back.

Lovely quiet room. Very spacious and a great mattress! Honest cleaning staff who handed in a special pair of boots I left behind. I was able to retrieve them the next day! Will definitely stay there again.

Was generally good except for some noisy clients till early hours of the morning. The room was clean and the bathroom well stocked and clean too. Missed on some information which I suppose was on those RQ codes but not all of us are technology smart so still need some printed out information.

All though we stayed a week we would have like clean bedding daily

I was not happy that the TV was not playing and the wardrobe door became loose and could not close properly afterwards

Clean, well appointed rooms. Secure hotel in an ideal location for beach, casino, bars and restaurants. Complimentary laundry room was a plus.

I requested that a bottle of champagne and flowers be in the room upon arrival. I received no reply from Courtyard Hotel after 3 days. I called them 3 days in a row and they kept telling me that they would respond, I had to follow up myself to ensure that my request was made and they forgot about the flowers. The walls were thin as I could clearly hear neighbors. The room was classified as a suite but was very much the same as a regular room, nothing fancy. For the price I think breakfast should of been included and not charged extra. Good points: comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

Very good hotel located just across the road from the beach. There are a couple of bars/restaurants also just across the road and it's a couple of minutes walk down from The Boardwalk, which has a variety of eating places to choose from. The only downside was a couple of night's where there was noise from the adjacent room and also the wifi can be intermittent,especially in the evenings. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed with my girlfriend four nights over the festive holidays. From the arrival to booking out , I had no complaints. The service was excellent, the rooms were spacious and had all we needed. The view from the room was great and location is close to many food outlets. Overall, it was perfect.

Said it’s 4.3 stars but not near even 2 ⭐️ Tv 📺 is 2x3 inches . No room service for breakfast Had to carry our bags to room - no one to show the functions of room . Call to fix tv found no battery in remote , I can go on but my sleep is more imp I will rate it has a good motel with beach view - $ 140 for a night 😥

The room had drainage issues and dirty water from tap was flowing out. Had to replace my room.

We only stayed one night as a stop over before flying to Joburg at the end of our holiday. Very good location for access to PE airport, and a good location on the coast for a days stay.

This hotel had a great location. The staff and service were good. But our rooms were located on the lowest floor and we loud with the noise of the busy street.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Courtyard. The view from our balcony was spectacular. And the free coffee in the morning was a life-saver! Loved the onsite laundry facility and the free wifi was good. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner - found clumps of hair in the shower that were definitely not ours and the toilet smelled particularly bad. But a convenient location for satisfying our beach-going urges and seemingly safe. Good value for money and great location.

Pictures advertising the room on hotel.com did not match what we paid for apparently. Were first put in a room without a sea view looking into a fuel station next door. Then when we complained we had to settle for a smoking room if we wanted a view. Receptionist said it was the catagory we booked in. Showed her the pics of the room and seaview which are apparently for a suit. Cant think who would spend that type of money on a single room on the waters edge to look at a fuel station. Otherwise everything was great after that staff were helpfully, friendly and knowledgeable.

My short stay was amazing as always. I was just not happy with the 2 three quarter bed, because I was with the wifey and I would have preferred one queen bed

We really enjoyed our stay at Courtyard PE. We were there for the Ironman and the location of the hotel was perfect....right on the run course. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was great. Laundry facilities on site was very convenient (no extra charge and detergent provided). The only minor downside was a tavern across the street that had live music every night....it was quite loud but overall didn't affect our sleep.

All the girls at the front desk and the GM where extremely helpful and friendly. Location perfect for participating in 70.3 triathlon world championship. Only strange thing was the limited dinner service with a set menu but food we received was never the same as they had posted on the flyer.

The stay was nice. Quiet and peaceful. Unfortunatly the shower was blocked when we used it so water went all over. They could have provided abit more tea, only 2 tea bags. The toilet had a running issue. It was a smoking room and no ashtray was provided. Ceiling fan very noisy. I think the maintenance team needs to do some work there. We also felt tht R170 per person for breakfast was a bit steep.

Great location within walking distance of the Boardwalk and immediately across the road from the ocean. We had a wonderful ocean view and the room was clean and nicely sized. Styling was a bit more early 2000s, but everything in the room was nice. Overall a very good place to stay, and one that we would definitely return to.

The Gym facilities is not accessible with one broken treadmill and one cycle ......really not to standard. Night shift manager during week should not good enough to deal with customers.

Outstandingly great in every respect - location, facilities, comfort, and the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff and management.

Comfortable room with handy kitchenette. Great location for relaxing strolls along the beach front, pier and Casino Boardwalk. Many local restaurants worth a visit, our favourite was ‘Blue Ocean’. The Boardwalk was very quiet, many shops closed, lost opportunity! Only downside, the hotel breakfast is R165 each, this is too much if you only want coffee and toast. Only business people on expenses seem to use it. Breakfast at the local cafes were great for only R60.

Excellent hotel and facilities, very easy to find. Staff very professional and attentive. Rooms of excellent quality - wish we could have stayed longer.

The chair was broken in room 126, one handle of the cupboard at they TV was off. the was a plastic cover "fitted sheet" very uncomfortable. The side view to the Caltex garage feel insecure with the taxies standing at the bottom and people shouting through the walkway the whole tome so not comfortable leaving anything outside or sitting late outside. I used the hotel 2 months ago, and paid the same rate, but had a beach view and was on the second floor. This should have been explain prior to booking, and the gentlemen at reception was quite unfriendly, as I politely asked if we can change the room.

The whole experience was wonderful: Great scenery across the sea. Boardwalk with music entertainment. Everything was well organised and could book in on time.

Overall, I would rate the hotel as average. It is close to the beach but can be noisy due to the road traffic. Cleanliness of the bathrooms could have been better.
