Paxton Hotel

The room was neat and clean.

Nothing

spacious rooms , good location , very friendly staff

F One of teh family rooms we asked for did NOT have a sofa bed - only couch .. no screening from car park - ground floor rooms face cars immediatly - perhaps some greenery /hedging or screens could be installed - so teh car park is not so in ur face / Bathroom needs some TLC - a bit dated and confined. TOILET flushing mechansim very difficult to use !!!

Friendly doorman Michael and wonderful reception staff

Door was difficult to close at times

A nice setting, good view of the working harbour and very close to the airport

Room was very dirty , towels not cleaned properly , bed was uncomfortable . The manager did nothing about the state of the room and my complaint

It’s spacious, except the shower which is too tight even for someone tiny so I can imagine a heavier person would struggle.

There were maintenance issues in my room which were not resolved during my stay.

Clean, convenient and staff is friendly

Dinner meal very limited

Facilities, Clean & friendly staff

The Harbour horn noise in the morning. Lol. Something the hotel cant control though.

breakfast was tasty with many choices , rooms comfortable and nicely decorated that property was clean and well maintained.

shower leaked and the air con was noisy

Never had breakfast has besides bacon..which I don't consume...nothing else ho offer.

The restaurant very rowdy...can hear waiters in your room

Localização, atendimento e acomodação em si!

The location was convenient to the airport

the noise of other guests was unbearable

Everything was perfect. Staff are incredibly efficient and friendly.

Personale cortese e accogliente. Camera ampia e pulita. Parcheggio all'aperto negli spazi dell'Hotel.

Near the airport

The dinner was terrible, and we were sick the following day. Drunk people were singing at the hotel bar, just 5 metres from our table, and no staff member intervened. Nobody took care of our luggage upon arrival. There was no smart TV, no Netflix, and no option to cast our phone to the TV.

we stayed just for one night before we flew out of Port Elizabeth, it was a perfect hotel to stay close to the airport, friendly, stylish.

Hospitality is so unbelievable

Location. Central to the establishments of interest.

Nothing.

Friendly staff and great customer care

My short stay, I wish I could have stayed longer

Shortage of parking availability

We had a wonderful stay at The Paxton Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is extremely kid-friendly — our children enjoyed it. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to book here again. Highly recommended for families!

We booked airport pickup through the hotel and were referred to an outside vendor. Not knowing better, we accepted their price and were charged an exorbitant amount. We were a group of five adults and four children. Next time we’ll take an Uber instead — it’s much more cost-effective. Please consider vetting your vendors or warning guests about expected charges so others don’t get overcharged.

Was a good visit, and the staff members were friendly, helpful and generous. I would recommend Paxton to others

Supper was delicious and the breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable! Staff was friendly and helpfull.

The room was clean and comfortable.

It was very noisy. People made a lot of noise till after midnight. Channels on TV very outdated. You should change to smart TVs.

the best view best service , the warm on the staff conference view very good and coffee also very good great service to of them worked on the 12 august 2026 late shift

Ottima struttura soprattutto come base per l’aeroporto…solo 6 min in macchina. Stanza pulita

Very nice, clean, spacious rooms. The hotel is also located very to the airport and with a virgin active across the street from the hotel. Value for money

The Staff Members and Their Manager are exceptional, amazing people and always willing to assist. The Best Staff I've Ever Seen In A Hotel, they are all well trained.

Please add breakfast to bookings.com

Keep ID documentation on file … no need to photocopy for each visit. I almost lost mine due to mix up at desk . Reception reminded me that my ID was still at reception.

Stanze ampie, comode e pulite, posizione molto vicina all’aeroporto di Port Elisabeth

Clean rooms with very comfortable beds

Door didn’t lock when we left room. We had to wait 10 mins for room to lock.

The staff guyz

Lack of water bottles for the guests

The Paxton is a great place to be home away from home. Even though I used it for business, the facilities can easily be adjusted to be family orientated.

The fact that I could do a room setup for my birthday, getting allowed to check in between 12:00 and 13:00, also getting the sea view room. On request😍I love it!

Cutlery in the room, proper tea spoon would go a long way.

I would like to commend the Manager on Duty for the outstanding service we received. Your professionalism, calm leadership, and willingness to assist did not go unnoticed. Thank you for ensuring everything was handled so efficiently and with such care. A job well done! Your dedication and commitment to excellent customer service are truly appreciated. Please keep up the exceptional work.

The spacious room.

Noisy area. Water lukewarm. There was spoon to stir coffee/tea with.

Localização próximo aeroporto e praia para correr ( 03 km ) ambos

Staff were very helpful and welcoming and effective. Location of the Hotel is great...the parking was easy as was the check in and the room was very comfortable and decorated pleasingly. I did not eat in the hotel and so I cannot comment on any of the food facilities.

I was there for 12 hours and so I did not find anything in that time which disturbed me

Nice place to visit especially for business

The environment

The room was nice and spacious, very comfy bed.

Shower head was way to low, I hit my head every time I got in the shower. People above me were making a noise every night, slamming doors, running around, they must have had kids but this was after 9pm at night. I eventually phoned reception and asked them if they can ask them to keep it down cause it was after 10pm and I needed to sleep.

Need charger sockets at the bedsides

No charger sockets at the bedsides.

Staff friendly..Rooms neat..General good hospitality.

Everything was excellent, we enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Everyone was so kind, my kids even pass a comment saying everyone here mommy is nice. The place is neat, they have a delicious breakfast buffet. I wish they can consider a dinner buffet as well. I like their room service. U just pick up the phone and order to their restaurant.

Truly a home away from home. The rooms are great, the view is priceless and the atmosphere is amazing. The whole staff is nice and friendly. I would like to give a special recognition to Zintle, Sibahle and Mandi for the exceptional service they gave me.

The place was clean ,the staff 🙌 the restaurant very nice. The hotel was very close to everything i wanted to visit Malls shopping complex everything was exceptional. Thank you very much Paxton from Pules family from Free State 🙏

Room service menu needed more options

I always enjoy the Paxton. The rooms are spacious and every room. Is comfortable with everything you need.

The greeting daily by the security at the main door and a friendly smile or chat. Conveniently located near main roads, highways and airport.

The USB charge was VERY slow 🐌 Electricity fault on the top floor. No notification of an electrical fault on 3rd floor before going up to the room. Had to call in to reception to find there was an issue.

Extremely neat and comfortable. New linen and towels.

Nothing really. Everything was on point!

The place was clean and the staff was very Professional.

Nothing

Building and rooms in great condition

Beds are quite small

Spacious rooms with beautiful interior. There was sufficient place where I could work. Tea and coffee was sufficient, however, i would have liked to see milk in stead of Cremora. The bathroom had a shower and a bath tub - although I prefer a shower - as it is way faster and saves water. Complimentary soap, shampoo, shower cap and hand cream provided each day. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, was quick with my evening meals and it was delicious. Ample parking for guests and a superb location for my business trips in PE.

All good.

Breakfast was ok only bit of a disappointment . Hot food ( bacon sausage egg not nice)

Good location

Bathroom, aircon and pillows need to be updated

1st room i was moved as to Very Noise coming from the restaurants at 5.30. Only to woken up 2nd time this time with staff at 5.30 collecting ice. Shocking 2 very bad nights sleeping.

Everything was fabulous

Nothing

Modern, neat, spacious and very cozy! Been here before and will always be here when in PE. Reception staff were amazing and friendly

TV signal was blurry on all channels

Modern, neat, spacious and very cozy! Reception staff were amazing and friendly. Third time staying over and experienced the same level of exceptional service

The room is spacious and clean

No play area for small children ,as it was raining and couldn't go out with them.not enough food the amount of money asked.

The location was excellent as I was there for business.

Location, harbour views, 100% block-out curtains. Cool restaurant with great food and friendly staff! Wou

The TV in the room does not support any form of streaming or connectivity. So used to log into my Netflix or AppleTV account, it is almost strange not to have that functionality. Smart TV is a must!

Single units

Room service was efficient. Breakfast was good. Reception was friendly.

Bathroom was too small. Shower head was below my eye line and far too low for a normal person to use safely and the shower door didn't close which led to flooding on the bathroom floor. Shower soap was difficult to dispense as it kept falling over on the rack. TV and A/C is very old.

Everyting, from friendly staff to great location.

Can't complain.

The view

The noise in the morning from the construction. Was just at the window. Even had to close curta

Breakfast was so standard and having stayed there for 5 days, there was absolutely no variety with regards to the warm breakfast options.

the power outages and Wi-Fi. I was there in April when I experienced the exact same challenges. when questioning this with the staff they advised that management is well aware that the Wi-Fi is substandard and does not work near the bar nor the reception area. the power kept tripping. when i asked the manager on duty when the Wi-Fi and power challenges were going to be resolved I got an entire "education" talking down speech as to why it was not the hotel's fault with even a bit of finger waiving in my face. This hotel will never be seeing me again I don't care what "specials" you will be running. in 2026 how can we still be having challenges with connectivity issues.

Location is very convenient and place neat and clean

In room 3125 - The shower leaks - running nearly out the door and will wet the carpet, cause mould. We suspect the toilet also leaks as there was water at the bottom of the bowl and tile. It could be a different leak from shower. Needs to be checked. Rooms should have insect repellent as the mosquitos were radical 1st night till I bought raid.

The position of the toilet - but I suppose there is nothing that can be done.
