Room 106 is above the restaurant and bar, and music comes through the floor except late in the evenings.

I like the property very much. On arrival we were told the property was full and booking.com bookends a room without there actually being space. They moved us to another hotel down the streets. This does not make me want to book with bookings.com in the future.

Love the New Decor. As usual Staff were very good .very helpful..Food very good .Breakfast excellent..

We loved everything about the Killarney Royal— updating is gorgeous, lovely beds and linens, spacious room with full amenities, quiet! The staff is wonderful and helped me host a tea for relatives. We’ll go back again and again!

We stayed here for 2 nights in August 2026, right in the middle of high season. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and modern, and the room large and comfortable with lots of space to relax. John, the concierge, went out of his way to be helpful at all times, and was friendly and chatty, giving advice on places to go. This hotel is a real haven in the heart of a bustling town!

Everything was really wonderful during our stay. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, even lending me an electrical converter for my stay. The breakfast was first class, with a hot meal menu plus a self serve buffet appealing to American and European tastes. I highly recommend!

My wife and I recently stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is lovely, and its convenient location made it super easy to explore the nearby sites. As two disabled guests, accessibility and support are extremely important to us, and the entire team was exceptionally accommodating throughout our stay. John, the porter, went above and beyond to ensure our day wasn't interrupted, seamlessly making sure all of our belongings were delivered safely to our room. We also had a minor issue when our coffee maker stopped working, but Patrick, the General Manager, was incredibly attentive and quickly resolved it for us. Overall, the warmth and helpfulness of the staff made our trip stress-free and memorable. We highly recommend this hotel!

Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Royal Townhouse and loved every second of it. John and Yana were so welcoming and gave us fantastic advice and knowledge about the local area. They greeted us with a glass of whiskey each and sent us home with a box of fresh scones. They really made our stay extra special and added that personal touch. Review of Killarney Royal Hotel We were extremely impressed with our stay at the Killarney Royal Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome at reception. The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout, creating a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. The bar area was particularly impressive, perfectly positioned and an excellent place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Our room was perfect, with a great-sized bed that was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night’s sleep. Breakfast was a real pleasure. There was an excellent choice from the hot food menu, along with a wide range of fresh and delicious buffet options. The quality and variety available were outstanding. What truly made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team we interacted with was incredibly courteous, professional, and polite, providing excellent service at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return in the future. We would also highly recommend the Killarney Royal Hotel to anyone visiting Killarney.

We had a wonderful stay in Killarney! Our room was exquisite, with an incredibly comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, and a beautiful spa-like bathroom. The hotel is perfectly located within easy walking distance of pubs, shops, and local attractions. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it!

There are so much to love! The kind staff, perfect location, and cozy room & bathroom were all highlights of our time in Killarney.

Our room had windows facing an indoor corridor, which were half blocked by some concrete columns where several pigeons lived - would’ve loved to get better natural light or be able to open the window at night without fearing a feathered friend would end up in the room with us. Also, the free parking is a few blocks way (~5min walk). It was not a problem, but something we expected and was inconvenient at check-in/out and when leaving to drive somewhere.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming! More personal and friendly than most 5 hotels.

We stayed here for one night to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect! Everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly. We had dinner in Fig restaurant and the food was amazing! We loved the burrata and the passion fruit martini was delicious! We stayed in a townhouse suite which was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and had an amazing four poster bed. We had the best time celebrating our anniversary and will definitely return again ❤️

Absolutely loved this hotel . The rooms are great, the service is awesome, the location is perfect. Employees will remember your name, they are engaging and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Killarney . Can’t wait to come back.

Unusually has Aircon but it is not very effective. Probably the only negative.

My Friends and I have an annual golf trip to Ireland. This was the first year we stayed at the The Royal Townhouse. The hotel is comfortable and beautiful and so well situated for walking to great dining and entertainment. What really sets this hotel apart from any of the others we stayed in, is the staff. Every single staff memeber we interacted with was beyond amazing. From the curb side bellhop, to the receptionist, to the wait staff, to the bartender, to the cleaning staff, etc.. They were all very friendly, helpful, acommodating, and professional. Our only regret is that our golf course selection only allowed us one night here. We will definitely be back next year and make sure our course selection allows us a multiple night stay at the Royal Townhouse!! This place and their staff is a master class for anyone wanting to learn the hospitality industry!!

Oh my god where do I start. What an amazing place to stay. Met John on our arrival and he is such a gentleman, he was so kind, friendly and he couldn't do enough for us. I'd say if I asked him to unpack our bags he would have. It was worth staying there just to meet him. All the staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly and a special mention for Joanne who was so kind. Room was beautiful and food was unreal so much so when we checked out on Sunday we watched the allireland in the Failte and we went back again for tea and scones before we came home. 10/10 for this hotel, try it and you won't be disappointed. My niece and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. I had mentioned that we were on a trip celebrating her graduation from college and they left a beautiful note for her to congratulate her. The hotel is within walking distance of everything you will need in Killarney. It was exceptionally warm for Ireland when we were there and the air conditioner worked beautifully, and that was not the case in all of our luxury hotels we stayed in along the way.

A wonderful time in Killarney at the Killarney Royal Townhouse. Very tranquil, we had a lovely comfortable room. The staff were welcoming friendly helpful and attentive. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, great choice. We had dinner on the first night at the Fig restaurant and it was very good. The only thing I would improve is more hangers in the wardrobe and a full length mirror in bedroom.

The staff was phenomenal! The hotel and room finishes better than the online photos. The breakfast was great and the service exceptional.

Their pillows could be more comfortable and it would be nice if there was more than one drawer for clothing (in addition to the closet rod) — and some hooks by the closet and/or in the bathroom would be helpful.

An absolute delight! Elegant lobby with a welcome whiskey to greet you and beautifully appointed rooms with soft beds and decadent bathrooms. Johny was our porter and he was an absolute delight! So helpful with our bags and recommendations for dinner/pints/music in town. Best breakfast of our entire trip!

Stayed here for Saturday night after completing the Ring of Kerry annual charity cycle. Excellent service at the hotel.Very useful location for the cycle as we were to allowed to park across the road in the sister hotel carpark of the Great Southern for free from the early hours of Sat morning (we arrived before 06:00). Very central location but there good soundproofing on the windows, no disturbances from the street outside.John, the concierge made us feel very welcome, we had some great chats with him! The room was beautiful and very modern. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved the Killarney Royal Townhomes. It is a beautifully decorated high end boutique hotel. We had previously been booked at another hotel. We were very disappointed and quickly found the Royal Townhomes. We were greeted by Yuliia who was lovely, professional and caring. Within minutes we were booked and it made our days in Killarney perfect. We would definitely come back.

This was our favorite stay during our recnt trip to different cities in Ireland. The property was beautiful and the services were amazing, but the people made it perfect! John, Julia, and Joanna (and the rest of the people we met during our stay) went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. From dinner recommendations to the “welcome whiskey,” they made us feel right at home. Can’t recommend enough, the only small oddity was parking was a couple of blocks away at a sister property, but was free, so very worth it!

I recently stayed for one night at the royal townhouse with my son who's 12 years old. I can't be praise all of the staff who were so friendly to both of us from check in to breakfast and check out . We would definitely stay again as it was so central and very easy to reach town etc.

The location was absolutely perfect—right in the heart of town and conveniently located for exploring Killarney and many of the area’s top attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Both the breakfast and dinner were excellent, with delicious food and great service. We would highly recommend staying here and would gladly return on our next visit to Ireland!

The location is fantastic - right in the heart of Killarney, so close to all the pubs in town, but also a really easy drive to some truly stunning scenery in the national park. Our room was really comfortable and cosy, and breakfast was delicious too. We would highly recommend!

It's wonderful to arrive at a property and be greeted by professionals. Not only were they ready for our arrival, they were able to get us into our rooms quickly so that we could make our dinner reservation on time. Wjhen we returned from dinner they offered us a short pour of nice whiskey, which was so lovely for those of us who like it;-)

We like the entire experience. They only change I would suggest is to turn up the lights in the breakfast room. Seemed lit for the evening.

We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Killarney Royal during our 14 day Ireland/Scotland trip. We were a group of 9. Newly renovated rooms were a delight but the friendly and helpful staff are what really made this a terrific place to stay. It says alot when John, Yana, and Joanne greet you everyday by your name, and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Highly recommend this Hotel. The location was an added bonus also. Thankyou so much for the care package you sent with us for our bright and early departure to the train station (which is right around the corner) You were truly our Favourite, Killarney Royal, The Novaks.

Family had 4 rooms and all were pleased. Centrally located, clean and bright hotel. The difference is the people! John the Bellman is a gem, remembering everyone’s name at check-in and throughout the stay. Nuala was helpful, engaging and fun - a credit to the hotel! Will return.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Killarney. Clean and comfortable room, convenient location (short walk to dozens of pubs and restaurants). Good restaurant on site, and an excellent breakfast. But the highlight was that staff. All incredibly friendly and helpful. And with special shout out to John, the top notch porter who was always there with his enthusiastic and kind help.

John is a legend who will remember your name and assist with anything. The Fig restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. Warm smiles and recommendations. Breakfast staff were cheerful and expertly efficient. Great location and quiet rooms. Pull up valet is busy but they provided parking around the corner which was convenient.

What an absolute gem. We had a great experience. We had just came from another hotel with a poor experience with service so we were not expecting much. When we walked in we were welcomed by a fantastic woman by the name of Nuala I believe. Talk about a class act. She embodied professionalism and I was instantly relieved. Her banter and communication was perfect. The room was beautiful and clean. It was updated to fit a more modern feel. Breakfast room service was great and on time. Made the morning super easy to get going. Air conditioning was the best. Parking was down the street. A short walk. Included in the stay. It was very easy. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We stayed in 5 hotels during our vacation and this was well above the other 4. Husband and I were very impressed. Thank you Nuala and to the team. We really appreciated the great hospitality.

Killarney is a very busy tourist town but when you get to Killarney Royal Townhouse you are instantly greeted warmly by John (bellman and local treasure). The front desk staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The staff at the restaurant, particularly Sim were outstanding. The hotel is quaint, well located and the restaurant is top notch. I recommend it highly.

We recently stayed in the Killarney Royal Townhouse, which features in Ireland’s blue book list of country houses, historical, hotels, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it as a “boutique hotel experience ‘ as described in the blue book. The hotel is ideally situated, with nearby parking available. The decor, layout, and atmosphere is both inviting and relaxing, as was our accommodation. At the Killarney Royal, the staff appeared to work well as a team, and were more than eager to please, taking great pride in their roles. A special mention of praise for all of the staff and in particular ,Camellia and Joanne . The food at the hotel is good quality , all homemade and locally sourced. The breakfast is worth a mention also for its choice, layout and exceptional freshness. Overall, our experience in the Killarney Royal was most enjoyable and we look forward to a return visit soon.

Centally located and near the train station. Parking at nearby Great Southern Hotel, a short walk away. Guests can also use the gym and pool at this hotel as the Killarney Royal Townhouse does not have these facilities. Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.

Lovely hotel - were able to park our car with their sister hotel just a short walk away. Excellent staff especially Joanna and John - very helpful and friendly. Very good food in both the breakfast and restaurant. Great location - easy walk to main shopping precinct. Very stylish rooms, comfy beds and big bathroom!

We were able to walk there in 10 minutes from the bus stop and it was near lots of restaurants, souvenir shops and stores. Our room was ready early and we got a nice bottle of water, welcome note and fridge. The concierge was always available at a convenient location. Breakfast was excellent with an open and extensive offering. We received some excellent advice on sightseeing options. We enjoyed the bar one night. The air conditioner worked great and there were lots of pillow options on the bed.

The price was on the high side. We had some trouble with unlocking the door.

We just spent 2 nights in the beautiful Killarney Royal hotel. From check in to check out, we were impressed with friendly,helpful and professional staff especially Yana at reception, Joanne at breakfast and bar and restaurant staff. Very homely atmosphere and rooms very spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Excellent Hotel in the centre of Killarney. An obviously well trained and courteous staff. Very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was top class with a lovely big four poster bed. Well designed layout in the downstairs lobby. Defo going to stop here again next visit.
