Location was nice
They asked us what day of our stay would we liked our room cleaned and told them the second day since we were there only for 3. And they never came and cleaned our room so disappointing
Great pool area! Good location
No mugs or kettle for tea!
We had a nice room. The rooms are old, but ok in decor. I am allergic to scents, and asked that our room be cleaned with fragrance free products. It was.
for the money, the value was good. If I had paid more I would expect more
The proximity to Disneyland
Dirty, smelled bad, and room had cockroaches.
Beds were comfortable enough
Th television was so old that it didn’t have option for Netflix or connecting my phone to it, there was no coffee offered in the hotel for free because I’ve seen it in other Sonesta hotels and the fact that I had to buy it and it wasn’t even always open (the coffee shop) was annoying, I had no control over the AC in my room, and I could never contact the front staff because the line always seemed to be busy. Prob will not be staying here again.
The hotel was very nice. The people at the desk were very nice. It was a nice setting and comfortable. I will be back.
Limpio
Nothing
Everything
excellent property, clean rooms, huge pools. the majority of guests are visiting the Disney amusement parks, so there's a lot of kids - the pool gets busy in the afternoon. It's completely empty in the morning. the gym is rather small but functional. location is very close to the amusement parks but the area isn't pedestrian-friendly (I guess it's typical for the Orange County). It wasn't a problem for me since I had a car.
The only nuisance was that parking is $32, and there's no street parking or cheap garages nearby.
Ichel gave amazing service!!!
The Sonesta is a great family friendly hotel near Disneyland. They offer spacious rooms, lots of parking and a great pool. It’s a long walk to Disneyland so we always Uber/Lyft or park at the Disneyland parking structure. The staff is always friendly and the rooms have been updated recently which is a nice touch. The beds and pillows are super comfortable for a great nights sleep. I would definitely recommend staying here!
I love that it was close to outlets and closer to getting home
Some of the staff were a little rude when it came to asking for things
I stayed here two nights. Ichel at the front desk was very lovely and helpful.
My husband and I booked the Sonesta Anaheim Resort for our families first Disneyland trip to celebrate my daughter’s fifth birthday. Upon waking in I was greeted with a clean and bright environment. When I walked up to the desk, I was greeted by the sweetest and most helpful hotel receptionist named Ichel. She helped upgraded us to a firework view room and gave us great recommendations. She asked me if we were celebrating anything in particular. I told her about my daughter’s birthday. She then proceeded to tell me to bring my daughter back up to the front desk because she has a birthday gift for her. It was very thoughtful and my daughter was super excited to start off her birthday weekend with her first birthday wish so far we’ve had a great experience and we definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Location was great for our Disney needs.
We didn’t like the fact that anything we wanted had to be requested such as top ups for coffee and towel replacements. The toilet was also unreliable and was regularly blocked as a result of other rooms. This also caused a leak to our ceiling from above.
Very friendly staff and even during a renovation very cleanly the amenities were awesome we ended a knotts berry farm trip at the pool and the kids all decided this needs to be our go-to spot after a long day at the park. As season pass holders we stay in this area often and this has been our favorite spot so far!
We booked this hotel because we’re in the area for the waterpolo junior Olympics. Ichel, at the front desk was extremely helpful and are stay has been great. It’s close to everything we need and the room is clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff, awesome to see dogs, room was huge, snack shop perfect, love the microwave and fridge and tub + shower in the room, and a lot of space. Pool was very nice. I had so much fun in the Mickey shaped pool relaxing in the sun by the palm trees!
Wish breakfast was included but staff was friendly. Need to put bug zappers or bug lights or bug repellant around the pool, to prevent the bugs falling in the water or on the benches. Pool was so nice to lie in and relax but would recommend something done for that. Location is a little far from Disney — Sonesta should offer shuttles or travel to Disney at cheap costs, like the myhmr bus that goes to Hilton and Marriott was $6 for round trip transport. Otherwise really great stay.
Excellent staff and very clean property
Everything
It was clean and staff were friendly! The location was very close to many attractions such as the convention center and Disneyland.
I had no complaints as we did not intend to use it, but for others looking to book - the pool is currently closed.
Cleanliness
No parking for the amount being charged.
Booked room for Disney weekend trip. Check in process was very quick and easy. Room was clean, spacious, and bed was very comfortable. For booking last minute, the room was also very affordable and accessible to the Disneyland Resort. Staff was also very helpful and kind, would recommend!
Staff was extremely helpful, nice
Slamming of the doors when closing, entire room shake when this happens, barking dogs, pool was closed. Shower heads are old outdated, no water pressure at all.
Beautiful surrounding area and conveniently located
The door opened into the bathroom door a few times
Staff was professional and kind
The facility elevator pieces of rubber hanging from door and carpet in hallway outside our room was full of crumbs and the floor inside our room didn’t looked swept or clean. We picked up plastic strips on the floors. Floor didn’t look like it was mopped.
Pool not available.
Overall cleanness from the room.
What i liked about the hotel is that it was cleen and confortable
The only thing i did not like was that the pool was closed
The website promised a number of amazing amenities that were 'almost' too good to be true. Well they were..... 1. no pool( It's broken down and they informed us that we could walk to another pool nearby and use their towels to prove we're staying at the Sonesta) 2.no shuttle (Even though it's repeatedly advertised on their website. They informed us they haven't had shuttle service since February.) 3. Bad wifi (My cell phone service was better. You had to pay an extra fee every day to get semi decent wifi) 4. tiny beds (I have no idea what size beds are in a double but it's not a standard queen or full) 5. Dangerous shower (We moved to an ADA room due to my disability and the shower wasn't designed properly. It leaked into the middle of the bathroom and I almost slipped and fell. We had to pack towels around the edge of the shower) 6. no breakfast (Also repeatedly advertised on the website. We had to eat breakfast and hunt down coffee in Disneyland every day) 7. Poor customer service (Took us our entire trip of bartering to get them to refund us for the parking charge of $37 every day which is $3 shy of parking at Disneyland which we also had to pay for due to no shuttle) 8. No housekeeping (We had to actively request them to clean our room daily and get new towels daily. The cleaning wasn't the best but you could tell they did do something) If I had known they didn't have any of the amenities promised, I wouldn't have bothered coming here. With all the inconveniences that added unexpected fees, we could've just stayed at an actual Disney resort. I definitely would not recommend.
Nothing. Really disappointed
Staff. No shuttle. No ice on every floor. No complimentary breakfast. Had to hunt down some towels. Front desk doesn’t answer the phone. Front desk didn’t ask about stay. Website not updated. You have to pay to park is ridiculous.
wonderful
nothing
The location. The staff are always amazing.
The showers head were painful…
Easy to find
Upon arrival pool was out of service, we were charged for parking every night which was a huge convenience, parking was horrible with a lot of taped off areas that could have been utilized by guests, we were put on the 9th floor, only two elevators working, small store was not open all the time
The front desk team were truly exceptional throughout my stay, especially Johel, who stood out for his professionalism, kindness, and warm welcome. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff made me feel comfortable and valued as a guest. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and every team member I interacted with was respectful, helpful, and genuinely caring. Their outstanding customer service and dedication made my stay a truly pleasant and memorable experience. I sincerely appreciate Joel and the entire front desk team for their professionalism and hospitality. Highly recommended.
Lindo y limpio
Todo bien
Good location, super friendly staff
We had to pay for parking our car 😔🥺
The clenliness, staff was great! Good environment, close proximity to Disneyland.
Water pressure was not great. staff does not clean the room unless you request it! The bed sizes are very petite.
The pool area was closed
Everything
Cleanliness easy access
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Unfortunately the ice maker did not work and not very much silverware and the room
The accommodation was great—the only issue was the noise from the other guests, who spent the entire night making noise and laughing.
The one issue I didn't like was regarding the coffee; they claimed it was free, but in the end, we had to pay a fee. It should have been explained more clearly that the "free" coffee was only complimentary up to a limit—specifically $8.00—meaning it wasn't truly free. And who can actually get a coffee for just that amount in Los Angeles?
The room was a great size. Plenty of space and the bathroom was huge. Nice location close to Disneyland, food, and a Walmart.
Everything had an additional cost. Heater didn’t work. Workers did not pay attention to room/room type causing to have to change rooms. Second room didn’t have working heat. After we unpacked and settled in we had to repack and move rooms again. We were Were told we had to pay for breakfast even tho our reservation included it. Later were told they would comp it for one day only. Just to later find out if was included the whole time. No shuttle. Parking was 37.50 per night. Elevator was scary.
Liked that it was a little tucked away from all the other hotels so it was a little less hectic with kids
We decided to stay 1 more night in So Cal so we booked this hotel at the last minute because the hotel we were staying at was sold out so we could not extend. We booked the suite with the bunk beds but when we got here they said they no longer had that option. The elevator worked but inside was boarded up as if they were going through repairs. Once we got to our room, the front living room area looked like it was robbed. Meaning there was no sofa or coffee table just an empty room with a tv at the corner and the small dining table with 2 chairs by the door. We had to go downstairs to front desk and they soon brought us a brand new out of the plastic pull out sofa. We wanted to wash our clothes after our 4 day vacation before heading home but the laundry room was closed for renovation so they had us go around the corner to their sister hotel. We couldn’t get access to the laundry there but thankfully the front desk lady was super nice and helped us in/out after each cycle. She was the saving grace for the whole hotel experience. Overall the hotel felt like it was empty as if it was closed.
Review: Sonesta Anaheim Resort Area Our stay started off with a few disappointments right at check-in. We were informed that the pool was under repair, though we were offered access to a nearby property’s pool. That wasn’t a huge issue for us since swimming wasn’t part of our plans. What was a big issue: the on-site restaurant was closed, despite the hotel’s website stating it’s open seven days a week. After a long day of traveling, we specifically chose this hotel so we wouldn’t have to go back out for food. That was frustrating and felt misleading. We were also told housekeeping is only provided upon request. If you want trash pickup or fresh towels, you have to call the front desk—and for a full cleaning, you need to give 24 hours notice. This “post-COVID” policy is something I strongly dislike, and it absolutely impacts the level of service. Our original booking was for two double beds, but I asked if we could switch to a king. While they ultimately made the change without charging us, even mentioning a potential upcharge—given everything else that wasn’t available—felt like poor customer service. The room itself was somewhat updated, with a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig, which was nice. However, cleanliness was lacking. There was a noticeable stain on the ottoman, dust buildup throughout the room, and one pillowcase had what looked like a drool stain. The bed was also uncomfortable. Midway through our stay, we called for fresh towels and trash service. When we returned, there was simply a bag of towels left on the bed. The old towels hadn’t been removed, and nothing was restocked in the bathroom. It felt careless and incomplete. If I had to sum it up in one word, this hotel is fine—but only if you’re not too particular. Personally, I won’t be staying here again, and I will be letting my travel advisor know this isn’t a property I’d recommend booking in the future.
Nothing
The breakfast buffet is terrible. They include several hidden clauses. They charged us an additional $35 per day for parking. Our toilet clogged. The service quality is poor; the staff member seemed like she didn't want to be there. It was the worst stay I have ever had.
The location is good
When I chose this hotel, I did so because it offered transportation to Disney, free parking, and included breakfast. But to my surprise, none of this was actually included when I arrived. The shuttle service no longer exists, parking costs $36 per day, and breakfast is charged separately. In addition, rooms are not cleaned daily. I’m not saying towels and sheets need to be changed every day, but at least the trash should be taken out. There were guests with babies who left a bag of diapers in the hallway in the afternoon, and it was still there at night—it looked terrible. Overall, for the price, this hotel really needs improvement. The front desk staff are not very attentive or helpful.
Although a little further away from Disneyland it was a very nice stay for a good price. Room was clean and updated. Parking fee was reasonable
All was good
Everyone was super friendly and helpful
I wasnt made aware the pool was closed. I was offered an offsite pool but it was inconvenient. I wishvi was made aware that the pool was closed before booking
The pool was not working, and the hotel staff did not attempt accommodate to the pool situation. There is horrible Wi-Fi and horrible reception. The hotel staff seemed to be frustrated to speak to customers. I stayed here for the free breakfast and there was no free breakfast. You have to pay. There is no shuttle service. The room was clean, but no one came to clean the room. No clean towels or extra trash bags. There is no water pressure in the shower. It honestly felt like I had more pressure to get to the park earlier than the shower having pressure. Would not stay here again.
