Our first time at this particular Radisson Blu and hopewont be our last. Really enjoyed everything about the hotel, the room, the polite courteous staff the breakfast and where it is situated.
Check in was slow. 3 desks, 3 staff. 1 staff just stood there ignoring the queue going out of the door. Turns out her computer wasn't working but rather than putting a sign, telling people this or stepping out of the way so it appeared unmanned until the queue clear she just stood there. Very unprofessional. The room was lovely. Spacious and clean however we were placed in a room with a high up tiny prison like window that looked on to a brick wall. Very disappointing. I like to see where I'm staying and appreciate natural light. To be in a superior room with sub par window doesn't make sense. Breakfast was also disappointing. The heat lamps are useless. The food was cold. Getting the attention of the chef to ask for food topping up or a fried egg was a real task. They ran out of pastries and the coffee and bread are poor quality. Save yourself the cost and get to wetherspoons down the road. The location is fantastic. The hotel is nice and presentable as well as quiet. I would recommend but as I say there's some tweaks needed and I will make sure I ask for a decent window next time
Clean, staff friendly
Great hotel
Great location, right in the thick of it in terms of Leeds city centre. Lovely, friendly staff. Would stay again.
Handy for town
Room was good and clean but check in was very slow and breakfast was awful
Great location
Checked in online then 25 minute queue to collect key and bags Don’t ask for a pint after 22:30hrs in the bar…you’ll get told there’s a Wetherspoons over the road. Not sure what beds they use but felt it every time my husband moved in the night. On check out not asked if we enjoyed our stay just ‘have a nice day’
Sadly this property is shabby and dated, breakfast was chaotic with very little to offer as the poor staff did not have time to replenish everything.
The standard room was very spacious and clean. Staff were great, location fab and deco was great
Great location Poor service No food left at breakfast Coffee machine broken Staff not really interested Total carnage No bar service at 11.30 when it states bar is open till 12 Reception staff very nice but massive queues to check in
TV not working, Lights flickering in room and phone to reception not working. We were given another room but that was very smelly so we had to stay in our original room
Uni drop off. Clean, comfy and near the uni and the city. Just what we needed
This was a great place to stay, only thing for us was that there wasn’t a choice of pillows and I found them far too soft. Everything else was fabulous
Lovely room, very clean and perfect for a weekend away -/staff are very friendly
The hotel room was good size and comfortable however, the shower did not work due to a broken hose - we would have expected this to have been picked up by the house keeping. The service provided was very good and all the staff were friendly. The hotel is in a good location and very convenient for the centre of Leeds. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
Got a free upgrade. The staff were very pleasant and sociable. Exactly what you expect from a high quality hotel.
Bed wasn’t very comfortable
Great hotel as you would expect in an excellent location
Room was freezing and the heating did not work, either off of full blowing cold air, TV mounted facing away from the bed and multi channels did not work
The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.
A really great stay at this beautiful and well located hotel.
Lovely hotel, clean and classy. Staff very friendly and helpful
Very peaceful and comfortable with sizeable accomodation. Lovely view, thank you,
Hotel wasn't great, no room service, reception didn’t take my calls, show was broken and no hot water.
Its a lovely place to stay but a bit expensive
Very disappointing stay. We booked 2 standard rooms. Room 1 had an extractor machine going on our arrival and stank. We were then moved to a smaller room. Missing fridge and no coffee and tea. Both rooms were roasting at 25 degrees and air con was so noisy we couldn’t sleep. Unable to turn it down it was on or off. Rooms were very very tired and needed updating. Room 2 was not clean, hair on the floor by wardrobe and thick dust on inside of bathroom door. I was so surprised as always had great state with Radisson before. The front desk however were welcoming and helpful and helped with room move and refilled the coffee and tea. Breakfast was self service and was nice. Wouldn’t return or recommend to others.
Lovely hotel in a great location near many bars and restaurants
Awful check in system really let the place down
Everything was extremely good. Tha hotel is in a great location and ideal for all the city's amenities. Perfect for shop's, cinema and close to the train station, and restaurants.
Needs investment a bit run down
Booked a suite for 3 guests .. only 2 cups provided, coffee machine was broken and just pumped out a constant stream of hot water, room resembled a dentist waiting room .. very poor given price
Nice friendly staff. Lovely clean hotel and room. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom. Big tv. Breakfast was plentiful. Cooked food was only . Lots of variety. Goid produce
Great stay
Manager was amazing
All Good and fantastic and helpfull staff
Veryclean Comfortable beds, staff helpful. Also the young man on the bar was very good
The staff is amazing, everyone is so nice and helpful and friendly . The cleanness could be improved. The location is fantastic and the view from the room is very nice and a lot of light. Overall comfortable and great stay
Room noisy due to fan running continually resulting in little sleep. No proper headboard. Sink plug stuck in. Walls marked. Furniture tatty.
Clean quiet and comfortable room.
Good stay for a reasonable price. Room was a great size only issue was windows didn’t open and close without a special key so we had to get maintenance to come up to close the windows. View was in the light well but was nice enough. Iron and ironing board was supplied along with toiletries and fresh bottles of water. Room was clean and the car park is based inside the Light complex which offers great accessibility to the hotel.
On the way to the hotel we recieved a phone call to say they had overbooked the hotel and we didnt have a room. We were visiting for my graduation so this really took the shine off what should have been. Happy occasion. I will say that the person who phoned us dealt with the situation professionally but I would never stay with a company again who could double book rooms when they knew there was a big occasion happening. Shame on them
Very helpful staff
Staff were very lovely when i had issues with my room
We enjoyed our stay overall, but the aircon didnt work and on floor 6 it was boiling hot so we didnt get much sleep at all. The roads and outdoors were too noisy to keep windows open and my partner woke up feeling faint in the night from the heat. We came home exhausted which wasnt the idea of the trip. Disappointed because the rest was great.
The staff were very friendly and professional. The room was cleaned to an exceedingly high standard and the breakfast was amazing. Hugh variety of choice. Would most definitely recommend.
Good location amd big room. Housekeeping was dreadful. 3 night stay and not a single clean.
Good hotel would stay again
Great location. Nice hotel. Discounted car park just below.
Stay was ok, nothing special. Location is good. Room was spacious but basic and did have a musty stale smell. Doors slam closed and make a lot of noise, luckily my floor wasn’t busy so I wasn’t disturbed by this much.
Great
Nothing
Excellent location in the heart of the city centre.
A lovely hotel, close to everything - 8 minutr walk to the arena!
It was great, lovely friendly staff, great location, good price. Lovely breakfast.
Stayex for one night to attend an event- checked in online in advance, arrived a little early so our room was not ready, however, the hotel saved our bag and we went to sit in the bar which wS supposed to open at 2pm. However, we waited and the bar did not open so we went next door and when we turned up at 3 pm there was a big queue. We collected our key and bag and went to our room, which was lovely and big, with a big bathroom including a bath and shower over the bath. No complaints, we did not have breakfast as we thought it was too expensive, £36 for both of us on a discount, so cannot comment on the food.
Great hotel, located central to shops, bars and restaurants. Quiet at night, no disturbance from passing traffic etc. Only thing I would say is that the mattress wasnt sturdy, every time my husband moved in bed it felt like I was on a bouncy castle, I could feel every movement. Also, complete preference on my side but the pillows are way too soft. No support and found it a struggle to get comfy.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blu in Leeds. The central location, adjacent to the Art Gallery, was perfect. All the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly and a lovely comfortable room.
Shower didn’t work
Lovely hotel but the cleanest
Room & bathroom not as nice as our last stay
We received a lovely warm welcome. The rooms very clean and well decorated. There were toiletries, teas, coffees and water for our use. Best of all it gave us easy access to the city centre, we felt like we were in the midst fiddle of everything.
Easy check in room comfortable. Good location Easy to park
The queue to check in was terrible, almost 30 mins, only 2 out of 3 reception points manned. The couple in front had a newborn baby which was obviously hungry so felt for them. We were attending an event at the Arena and the bar was closed when we returned despite people still sitting in there. We could have ordered a drink from room service but wine was £9 for 250ml (not too bad) but £35 a bottle… how do they work that out? We were in a superior room but it was far too dark, limited lighting and a window which was at the far end of the room. On the plus side shower was nice with large fluffy bath towels. Overall based on the price stay somewhere else.
Liked everything about our stay. Will definitely visit again.
.
Nice hotel and service. Central location but bathroom Old and had silverfish
Central location, easy for everything in city centre. Good, standard hotel.
Property is conveniently situated. Rooms are small and a bit grim and dimly lit. The building is lovely but interior design leaves a lot to be desired. Everything is grey and looks drab. Trying to get an early morning shower was impossible. Water pressure at a trickle. We did complain and management adjusted our bill accordingly but Radisson need to sort this problem urgently and install booster pumps. There are better hotels to stay at.
Loved the room set up, bed was comfy, check in quick and efficient. Staff were all lovely Great location right in the city centre
Absolutely lovely hotel, modern and clean. Location fabulous for the O2 academy and indeed the centre of the city. We will definitely return.
Very dated decor and in poor condition. Television was badly placed. There was no working Internet. Not worth the money paid.
I only stayed for 1 night but the rooms was very clean and a nice breakfast
Stayed 2 nights. Excellent friendly staff. Clean room. Breakfast really good. Nice and quiet and comfy.
Central
Our stay was good, the hotel was brilliantly positioned for Greek Street and all the food outlets and also for the grand theatre and the varieties theatre. Breakfast were excellent with lots of choice and eggs done freshly upon request.
A lovely day and night spent at Radisson Blue. Reception very friendly and helpful. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice and staff very helpful.
Very surprised to find the room was tired and grubby. Marks on the walls and stains on the ceilings. Bed linen was stained and we need to ask for it to be changed. Very disappointed. Have stayed before without issue but this was without doubt the worst hotel room and I stayed in for a long time. Far away from 4 star.
Room was very dated and felt tired. Absolutely no shower pressure. Disappointing, won’t stay again.
The room was ok looking a bit tired in places. The Bed was nice but the bathroom needs attention, peeling paint on the ceiling and mould in the silicone round the bath. Not something i would expect at a hotel at thos standard.
Brilliant friendly staff, very clean room and large! Beautiful bathroom with rain shower
Great location and room comfort. Check in was a bit long even though I checked in online. Had to queue to get the key!
Great hotel but shame it’s bar close so early.
Good hotel in the centre of Leeds. With the new pedestrian work completed driving to this property is now very difficult so I would advise checking prior to booking. Staff were great and very helpful
The windows are to a mall for which the lights are always on! During the night even blackout curtains didn’t help! Also while my room was called a superior room, it didn’t have a fridge!
The hotel was clean & very central with a comfortable bed. Receptionist could have been much friendlier at check in. I would like to have been told that I was given an accessible room as I would have preferred another room if possible although I didn't bother complaining. The ground floor stairwell entrance wasn't locked which meant anyone could have entered the upper floors. The air conditioning wasn't very effective.
Hotel in a great area and goo vfm. Would have scored 5/5 on everything we're it not for air con which sounded like a drone and wouldn't switch off and had to get night manager to sort it out. Would definitely stay again though.
Starting to look dated our room was ok until we used the bathroom that had a constant sewage smell in it. Stayed here a lot over the years never had that.
My wife and i went to Leeds for a gig. We picked the Radisson Blu due to its proximity to the venue. Check in was okay but reception were not sure if the restaurant would be open for the booking we made a few days ago. They checked and confirmed the restaurant would be open at 4pm for us. We went to our room 349. Started unpacking and noticed a couple of insects, thought nothing of this and we went to the restaurant. First off they struggled to find a menu. When we did get a menu we asked for a fish and chips and a cheese burger and salad. When the food arrived we were very disappointed. The chips and fish were from a frozen meal and the burger was dry and again from the freezer. See the pictures below of what the Radisson advertise and what we got. We complained and was offered a 50% discount on the food. The waitress apologised and could not do enough but the food was bad. As we did not have enough time to else where before our event started we eat the food as we were hungry. It tasted worse that it looked. We quickly left and had a great evening in Leeds. On return to our hotel our room had several insects all around the bed head. We could not sleep here so asked to change rooms. The reception happily got another room ready. In the morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. Most things were okay but it is the first time i have seen an egg chef burn a fried egg !!!!
There was a column in the centre of my room, which made the room cramped. Shower but no bath. And I waited 10 minutes to check in because their checkin system is so slow, and there were only 2 staff on duty at 3pm which is when checkin opens, so it's when a lot of people want to check in
Nice hotel in good location. Rooms are clean but some dated marks on the walls and furniture in our allocated room.
Polite check in with usual upselling. Room was an odd shape in a location which meant windows couldn’t be opened. It was horribly stuffy, glitter and someone else’s finger nail on the floor, bulbs out above the bed, broken desk light and shower. The wait between being able to flush the toilet a second time was really crazy.
Nice hotel located in city centre. Close by to amenities and shops. A little bit dated inside.
Lovely front of house staff with good knowledge of the area. Room very spacious and bright. Wee downsides were the shower that probably needs a service and the bathroom that would do with a deep clean.
Easy to get to, central and overall nice hotel
great hotel for buiness meeting in Leeds
Friendly staff. Comfortable room. No shampoo in the bathroom and the tv technology (‘play your own content’) wasn’t working. Otherwise all good.
I checked in on line to save myself queuing. Well that didn’t work. Still had to queue. Long queue. Only 2 people on desk. 30 minutes in that. Got a free drink voucher. But still. That was not a good start. Superior room. Tiles in bathroom sone were damaged. Just looked dated and tired. Breakfast was awful. The mushrooms I had one and it had that much garlic it burnt my mouth. Really disappointed. Was meant to be a birthday treat for my partner. I felt so disappointed. Embarrassed I had got him that as part of his birthday. What’s happened? You used to be so good!! Won’t stay again.
My booking was cancelled and made a reservation in other hotel which is 5 minutes walk. Had to walk in the night when its freezing
