Paid 73k for one night two rooms, the flush in one room wasnt working properly, in the other room, lizard poop came out of the bathtub Jacuzzi, i called asking about empty shower gel in the evening no one came till morning, we checked in around 7 pm, when asking for late checkout, the staff hung up on me and charged us 5k since we crossed 2 pm in one of the rooms. Reached out to them in advance about mom’s birthday, nothing complimentary was provided(except a cake ofkos), i had to pay extra for rooms next to each other. Tried reaching for shared sit out rooms and was willing to pay, was unable to reach through their phone numbers. Very less staff, one waiter at the pool who kept warning us anything we order will take atleast 35 minutes, Poor attitude of the staff, completely opposite of everything taj stands for. Our experience at mumbai and hyderabad was completely different.

A beautiful, well maintained property! Special thanks to Mr. Bhuvan from housekeeping and Rahul in the dining room for their hospitality—they took good care of us throughout our stay. A minor point to note was that the AC temperature controls were not functioning properly in both rooms; while it didn’t cause major discomfort, it is worth looking into. Also, adding an activity room with a few indoor games would make the guest experience even better.

Being built as a palace, not for being a hotel, the set-up of the buildings is not very practical. There are stairs which cannot be avoided.

We had such a wonderful and memorable experience at Taj Fateh Prakash Palace. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful little touches, everything felt incredibly special. Since we were there for our babymoon, the staff beautifully decorated our room, which was such a sweet surprise. Kishan Ji and Nikita, who arranged everything, went above and beyond and even brought us a lovely greeting card and a small gift as a token of love. Really appreciate the efforts. We also loved enjoying the evening by the lake, along with the amazing food and impeccable service throughout our stay. It was truly worth every moment, and the breathtaking views are something we’ll carry with us forever. ♥️

Our family trip to Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur was truly a memorable experience. Staying in a heritage palace overlooking the beautiful Lake Pichola gave us a wonderful opportunity to experience the grandeur and charm of Rajasthan. The food was excellent, and every meal added to the overall experience. A special mention to Bhanvar Ji, who takes care of housekeeping, and Lalit Ji, his manager, for their warm hospitality, prompt support, and attention to detail throughout our stay. The feeling of actually staying in a palace, surrounded by history, heritage, and timeless architecture, was a completely different experience altogether. We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay and would be happy to return.

I travel 3 times per year and have been to close to 100 destinations. If you have to go anywhere in India, this is the best place. I have travelled to India 3 times and visited close to 30 cities. Udaipur is without a doubt the best place so far. On this current trip I stayed at the Taj Palace in Mumbai…Taj Fateh Prakash is better. This isn’t a hotel…it is a palace. The artwork within the hotel is priceless. The history is epic. The staff are family. I have no words to fully describe our stay only to say we should have stayed longer. My wife and I are planning to visit India again soon and we recommend spending at least 4-5 days in Udaipur to really experience the people, culture, cuisine, hospitality and friendship the Taj Fateh Prakash delivers. Ram Ram always to our new friends at Taj Fateh Prakash!

The staff Gaurav Prajapat welcomed and explained about the heritage . Captain Nawal with his team served dinner with riyalness. The chef Pakash ji as always made a very tasteful, sumptuous and wonderful dishes which is unforgettable . Moreover the birthday celebration with a cake cutting ceremony organised at Raman Chowk was s most most wonderful moments of my life .

Fabulous hotel, Great Lake views and service from Bhanwar The hotel is historic and allows entry to the palace facilities using the golf carts to get around Disappointed the lake view pool was being renovated, but the nearby pool from Octopussy was a good substitute

One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s beautiful Aarti ceremony at 6:00 PM each evening, which added a special cultural touch. We also enjoyed taking a boat ride around Lake Pichola to admire the beautiful ghats and the breathtaking views of the city. Dining at the Sunset Terrace was another memorable experience. I had visited Taj Fateh Prakash and stayed there for a staycation - it was a surreal experience. The view of the lake and the Lake Palace was tantalising. The grandeur of the property, the richness of the rooms and the overall experience was something which we were truly blown away by. However, the best part of the stay was the ‘Tajness’ which defines the spectacular service quality at Taj properties stood out. I’ve always felt that true hospitality should only be associated with the Taj brand. Sunset Terrace, Udaipur just proved me right again. The food was spectacular, but it was the _feel_ of the place that got me. That rare moment where you sit by Lake Pichola, the palace lights reflecting in your wine glass, and you genuinely fall in love with yourself again. The warmth, the love, the quiet affection in every detail — it’s not service, it’s an embrace. Special mention to *Surendra Singh* and *Udit* — absolute gems. Attentive without hovering, graceful without being formal. They made us feel like we weren’t guests, we were family coming home. Sunset Terrace doesn’t just serve a meal. It serves a memory. Taj-level hospitality, Taj-level heart. 5/5. Will be back with my soul a little fuller.

It was a fabulous experience. I was given a luxury suite facing lake Pichola and the view was stunning. The poolside view is just amazing. Magnifique palace, extrêmement bien localisé puisque à l'intérieur de l'enceinte du City Palace. De plus, le fait qu'il soit au bord du lac Pichola avec une vue magnifique sur les palais de l'eau, les rives alentours et les montagnes donne une impression à couper le souffle. Sa localisation et son accès direct sur le lac lui confèrent un grand calme et une sérénité absolue. Tout est reposant et apaisant. La piscine est absolument sublime avec vue d'un côté sur le City Palace et de l'autre le lac... franchement c'est incomparable. Le petit déjeuner et la salle du dîner (sunset terrace) sont superbes, le petit-déjeuner est copieux avec de nombreuses options. La chambre était très spacieuse et magnifique. Tout est propre avec de jolies finitions. Assurément un Palace avec beaucoup de charme. Enfin, le personnel est super, toujours discret mais présent et prévenant. Ils sont très arrangeants et se montrent de bons conseils. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Ce fut un crève coeur d'en partir. Un merci supplémentaire pour Taniya et Maithili qui ont été géniales.

Location location location!

Location - it’s in old city and part of the City palace complex so convenient in that regard. Great lake facing location. On the downside, there aren’t any good restaurants nearby so one will have to take a taxi unless one prefers dining on-site. F&B - excellent breakfast in terms of quality of food. Spread is extensive and more than one needs. The local delicacies they offer are highly recommended. Masala tea was special. The coffee could be better with some barista training. The sweet treats they leave in your room every evening are exceptional. Service - impeccable. Grateful to Pradip and his colleagues in house keeping team for their service. The souvenir given was very tasteful.
